Badgers just don't give a s#!t
General | Posted 8 years agoan american collegue of mine had a teeny bit of fun with an experiment by students in Utah. They gave him food and he decided to keep it, no matter it was a whole cow.
SciShow had a nice episode on this: https://youtu.be/j11ZAoTceaE?t=2m1s
but I also enjoyed the vid by the students with chippy tunes: https://youtu.be/dsHiOwR7cfc

kalira auctions her awesome suit
General | Posted 14 years agoIt really hurts my heart to see this one auctioned, as it's one of the best Fleece heads I know, so I hope she finds a nice buyer.
kalira9 is auctioning off her carpet python character, fursuit, and badges. Click the following link to view the auction and see images / videos of the costume: http://www.furbuy.com/auctions/1024258.html

General | Posted 14 years agoI'm not sure if any of you realize, but badgers have their own vocabulary, same as foxes, cats and wolves. I just wanna show ya around a little on badger sounds.
churr: mating call
purr: expression feeling good
wail: danger call
chitter: expression feeling pain or frustration
whicker: mild chitter
kecker: aggressive call
growl/snarl: threading call
yelp: female chitter, signaling anticipation of pain
squeak: call for help
bark: surprise/defence call
snort: startling sound
hiss: imitating sound
grunt: expression feeling good
Enjoy, I hope someone draws these expressions for me once.
