Abortion donation drive stream
Posted 3 years agoSo apparently some fuckers who got appointed to the US supreme court, mostly by lying and several other forms of horseshit, repealed Roe v Wade. So I'll be putting together another summer donation sketch drive.
Rules are simple:
1) $10 or more donated to an abortion fund, national or local. (here's a helpful link https://donations4abortion.com/ )
2) screenshot proof of having done so
3) a simple one character request with references
4) stream will be held on July the 2nd, starting at noon us eastern time and will run until I've run out of donation requests or until I need to stop and make dinner.(pics not finished on the stream will still be finished, just not on stream.)
5) No limit on the number of donations/requests you can make.
6)follows my usual rules on content: Subjects I will not draw: Beastiality, gore, racist/homophobic/transphobic/bigoted subjects or presentations, characters under 18(this includes characters with adult iterations if the main one known is under 18 and the adult form does not have a noticeably updated design.)
7) this is a thank you sketch, not a commission, no revisions
stream will be held on my picarto https://picarto.tv/McCrazy

BLM donation stream
Posted 5 years agoso, since my wife has asthma and our housemate has a less than stellar immune system in the good times, we're not really leaving the house to help out with protests over police brutality in person. However I have a stylus and access to google forms so, in a few hours I'm going to stream some drawings for donations to various BLM, mutual aid and bail/legal defense funds for the protestors who are risking themselves to try and make a difference. (meant to post this message here earlier in the week but been a busy week and my brain is still my brain)
https://forms.gle/RCo3jKyAsEwHZrzA9 set up is simple, donate to your local, or not so local BLM, mutual aid, bail/legal defense fund; save a picture of the receipt or email confirming your donation; fill out the google form linked above with the information on your donation, a picture of the receipt, and a description/image of what character you want drawn; and on saturday I'll be drawing for every donation of $5 or more(if I only get a few donations I'll see about drawing for donations of smaller amounts, but no promises)
Stream time will start around noon eastern US time and run until either I'm done going through donations(including ones made during the stream) or until 5pm eastern us time. Stream link so folks know where to view it, here: https://picarto.tv/McCrazy

Back home
Posted 6 years agoProbably noticed but back home again and back to uploading. Good thing I've got quite a backlog, since I've got the usual post vacation art block. ^.^; But that'll pass soon enough.
vacation
Posted 6 years agoJust a heads up there won't be any new art posts until next weekend. Out of town with friends, so not around my computer for posting stuff. But when I get back the massive art deluge will continue :P
I'm back!
Posted 6 years agoLet the old artening begin!
But yeah, finally have a job that doesn't eat me alive that I've finished settling into, so I'll be posting and drawing on the regular again. First thing is uploading a ton of old art I never put up here.
Also, since I'm getting more active again, here's my Patreon, though with patreon's rules this is more of a tipjar and access to my discord than what goes up on patreon. You'll still get much faster access to my current art than here.
And commission form here!

Well.
Posted 9 years agoThe past few days sure has been a thing.
Work continues to not bother to hire enough people for the season and just demand more of my coworkers and me to the point I'm exhausted before my shift is even over at this point.
Roommate went in for knee surgery which went well, but was stressful.
Same roommate woke up with chest pain and dizziness a couple days later, spent the day at the hospital, and luckily they turned out to be ok.
Every job I've applied for has declined before even an interview, so I'm stuck here for the season of hell at work.
And Donald goddamn Trump gets to be president with a republican congress. Meaning at the VERY least two years of rolling back what few gains we've made over the past decade and the judicial spot that should have been filled by our president as well as any other openings that come up will be filled by extreme conservatives.
Fucking hell.

Absence
Posted 9 years agoSo, not been around much the last few months. Just hit a patch of depression that pretty well ruined my ability to focus on much of anything, much less art. I'm doing a bit better lately, but still not feeling all that artistic lately. Trying to focus on getting a job that isn't shit retail and after I get something we'll see if I can find the time and energy to draw again. I still have plenty of stuff left over from the first half of this year so going to be posting that until it's all used up or I get inspired again. Though I will be working on one project soon probably. Depends on the other guy involved to get started. We'll see. ^.^
Sorry if I've worried anyone. ^.^; Not much of a socializer on my good days.

'challenging, fast paced, exciting work environment'!
Posted 9 years agoWhy does every job include this in the description? And always presented as though this is exactly what every job seeker wants. It's fucking ridiculous. Sure I don't want a boring job, but there's a huge gap between that and what is usually meant by 'fast paced and exciting'
I mean, I do know the actual reason they list that. It's because that description means you will be run ragged and yelled at at every opportunity, given little to no training, and paid shit. But you can't say that, you gotta spin it into a positive. nonono, we're not running our employees into the ground and giving them shit the whole way there, we're challenging them, in a fast paced work environment that's 'exciting'!
I need a nap, not dealing with being fed bullshit during job applications on my day off before a long ass weekend of work.
end whineybaby rant.

Man I do not talk much huh?
Posted 9 years agoNot the most social person and not usually quite sure how to approach conversations often, unless I have something specific to say or discuss. I guess I feel like I'm bothering people when I talk to them unless I have something to bring to the conversation to make up for the bother of talking. I'm sure most of my friends don't feel bothered even if I don't really have anything to contribute, but my brain is what it is.
Anyway! That random bit of musing aside, I do have things to say. Mainly just an update on how things are going in my life ^.^
Been dealing with the shitty retail job and just arting a bit when I have the chance to maintain my sanity. Been working on my resume and going to be applying to places soon and hoping for the best. Something not retail would be nice. Been sick this past week, which is less fun, and made doing art kind of hard. Not really fun to work on drawing sexy funtimes when your stomach is trying to decide just how nauseous it wants you to be all day, but seem to be getting better today. Hopefully will be back to 100% by the end of the day, especially since we're driving up to Boston tomorrow. Going to go attend a wedding of one of my girlfriend's friends, which will be nice I'm sure. But I'm mainly looking forwards to seeing a bit of Boston again and eating at a few places we used to go to when we lived up that way. Roast Beast and Cuchi Cuchi specifically. Then back home again to get back to art and work and such.
So yeah, not a lot specifically going on with my life. Just doing what I can to keep up with life. Hope you all are having a good day too ^.^

Happy new year!
Posted 10 years agoHappy new years everyone, hope the last treated you well and the new one treats you better(I know I'm hoping for a better one than 2015). I know I've been entirely silent for almost the past two months and sorry about that, probably should have at least posted a journal about why. Anyway, got a job in seasonal retail, which promptly ate me alive, backstock in a store where most of the people in backstock had quit just before I applied and I have experience in the position. You can imagine the amount of work and just how much there was. Needless to say any time not at work was spent trying to relax and rest, hence my brief disappearance. On the plus side, it's now after season and while they're keeping me on, my hours will be less intense, as will be the work itself. So I'll be working on the couple commissions I still owe(Thank you so much to the clients who have been understanding and patient about their long waits), new stuff and getting back into the swing of things.
New years resolutions!
1) manage commissions better.
I keep taking too many all at once and then stressing about how many I have, and that only hurts my ability to produce quality work. So I'm going to be working on saying 'no' or 'I'll put you in the queue' basically XD. I also need to work on pricing a bit, but how exactly remains to be seen.
2) be more talkative!
I tend to be way too quiet and private in general on here, so need to work on that. I'm going to try and respond to new comments and notes every day and go back through my gallery to respond to all the comments in one piece once a day. Probably try and write a journal every week to keep the world updated on my existence and the status of commissions and projects.
3) be a better boyfriend
I dunno, a vague one, but I really need to get better about cleaning up around the apartment and giving my girlfriend more attention and opening up and such.
Anyway, I'm off to eat breakfast, then off to start the new year proper ^.^ see you all around!

Help a friend out
Posted 10 years agoSo
lavenderrose is in a tough spot and needs some help from anyone willing to lend a hand. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6862275/
basically he needs a place to stay and is currently in Wooster, OH. So if you live in the area and are willing to lend some space for a short time, or know anyone in the area, or just have any advice or donations to help them out please do.
I'll probably be doing a ych shortly to get some funds his way as well

Moving again
Posted 10 years agoLuckily we're not moving as far as we did last time and we've already got things set up so we should be good to go as soon as we're moved in. But juuuuuust in case the plan doesn't survive contact with reality just letting you all know that I may be scarce for a few days. ^.^
500 follower ych auction
Posted 10 years agoJust a reminder that I have a ych auction that runs until tomorrow afternoon. Details and the picture featured here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15928453/
500 watchers and a giveaway
Posted 10 years agoSo I haven't quite hit 500 watchers, but I am working on the picture I want to post when I get there. And this is good news for you all since the picture is perfectly suited for a couple extra characters to show up. :D
So until I hit 500 viewers, or the end of febuary, whichever comes later, if you post an interest here, you'll be entered into a raffle to win a spot in the picture, with the other two being a YCH auction after I hit 500.
Rules!
(because everyone loves rules)
1) your character/or you must be either femboy in design or be adaptable to that design due to the subject matter of the pic.
2) the winner will be picked by a random number generator, probably invisible castle because I'm a DnD nerd
3) there's three spots for a character to be inserted into the pic, the winner gets to pick which one they want before bidding starts on the other two.
4) The winner will have three days to contact me with the information I need about their character and if they do not meet that time requirement I will pick a new random number from the rest of the entrants.
5) I'll be posting reminders occasionally, but only the comments on this journal are entry for the giveaway
6) I may add to the rules if I realize I forgot something.
Anyway, comment bellow if you wish to enter the giveaway ^.^

And we're back again
Posted 10 years agoSorry for the silence for a while there folks, going to update a couple pieces every day this week to make up for getting off schedule and puasing uploads for a while.
But anyway, good news! Girlfriend's got a new, hopefully better, job which should mean more sleep for both of us considering the last one had us getting 6-7 hours on average a night. We'll be moving in the next couple of months, but until then I'm opening up commissions again!

Real life and art
Posted 11 years agoSo this month has been less than ideal for getting art done. Luckily this hasn't affected my posting any since I keep my posting schedule for exactly these sorts of occasions. But art has been going slow this month and will continue to do so.
Main reason is just the amount of sleep I've been getting this month. My girlfriend's work has been busy lately and so she's been working crazy hours and thus on average we've been getting 6 hours of sleep. Put that together with my light sleeping and you get a very tired artist. And tired artist means I'm working a lot slower than I'd like.
I'm also job searching when I can, since commissions, even when I'm making good time doesn't pay much and I need to make some more money. And once I find a job that'll likely take up a decent chunk of time and energy.
Basically I appreciate my commissioners' patience with me during this slower period.

Posted 11 years agoSpecial labrat for October coming up! taking suggestions
Posted 11 years agoAlright, so for the labrat that I'll be running for October I'm going to do something a bit special. Specifically a halloween party at Rehme's mansion. The TF this time will be done via possessed/cursed masks and I'd like everyne's suggestions on masks to include. Any that are accepted will be put in the pic, either on a guest or on the "pick a mask" wall at the entrance.
This labrat will be special in that the limit of people to be included will be based on the number of masks I include(probably between 10 and 20), so it'll be a decent sized party.
Suggestions go in the comments here and feel free to suggest the obvious, everyone who suggests a mask that gets included will be credited for that mask in the final image. Anything and anyone goes for suggestions(no garuntees on what goes in, but feel free to suggest whatever)

YCH time extension
Posted 11 years agoGoing to be changing the closing time for the ych. Some dinner plans came up at the orignal closing time. So the new closing time will be sunday the 3rd at 6pm eastern time.
Couple small changes to commissions and labrats
Posted 11 years agoJust finished up the current batch of commissions so my commissions are open again! However, I'm reworking them slightly to make things more manageable for me. I'm only taking one large commission at a time, two slots for medium sized ones and four slots for simple sketch commissions. This way I won't have 4 large projects going all at once going forwards and hopefully won't get mentally bogged down like I let myself get this last set.
Commission slots: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5688267/
Commission prices: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5688264/
The other change is for the labrat images. This doesn't apply to the labrat pic i already started work on this month, but will apply to the next one I post, which will be in a couple days. The change will be that instead of first come first serve on the slots it'll be a raffle. If I only get enough entrants for the slots open on the pic, then everyone wins, but if more people want in then they can try and hopefully get in. This way it's still a cheap option for getting art from me, but you don't have to hope you happen to be online in time to get a spot. I figure this works best since I've gotten the slots filled within a couple days on both labrats I've done so far.

And moved in!
Posted 11 years agoMostly. Still have some unpacking and organizing to do, not to mention fixing all the odd things that tend to go wrong in a new place. Mostly settled in though and happy to have moved, this place is nicer than the last by a wide margin. Now that I'm here I need to get back to work on commissions and back in the habit of drawing on a regular basis. Probably going to dump some art later today too, haven't been updating since the move after all.
