Okay, maybe this will help...
General | Posted 12 years agoIt has come to my attention that I should probably explain the kinds of bills I am trying to cover, instead of leaving it vague and so on, so here goes.
I have a few pets who need to see the vet and get their shots, I have been putting it off as long as I could. I also have a few problems with my wardrobe, or at this point lack there of, I have not really bought any new clothes (baring the occasional shirt) in about 3 years. I also need to start paying into my student loans, and the food budget is a little tight at 700$ for 6 people per month.
As many of you already know most of my income goes straight back into my business, to ensure that I have a job and at least some tiny stream of money to help cover those expenses.
I know my journals are more often than not these requests for help, and I am sorry. I just have way too much on my plate.
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5098488/ is the information on my Sketch sale. I can do a full sketch in about half an hour, and that is why I am running these before my normal commissions queue.
Again, Please buy a sketch or two, or at least help me by spreading the word.

In Need of Funds, Sketchmission Sale.
General | Posted 12 years agoHey everyone,
Fawkes here, and I am having a little trouble. I have a few bills I need to get paid off in the next couple weeks or so, and as a result I am doing a sale on sketches. If you saw my daily sketch challenge stuff from the first part of the Year, I had to stop that because of business, that is the kind of work I am talking about here.
Feel free to flip through those works to get an idea of what I can do.
I am selling those for 5$ each, drawn on Card stock, and I will even mail you the originals if you want. USPS, in US shipping is free, International shipping has a small fee.
I need to raise a few hundred dollars, so if you can't buy a sketch, please at least pass the word out that I am doing these.
The sale will last till Halloween.
Thanks all,
Fawkes.

Show everyone there's more to you than meets the eye with this catchy two-sided tee. The front may say you're easy-going, but the back lets them know there's a wild side to that calm exterior. And, you'll be helping pets, too! 10% of all profits go to animal charities!

Rather Desperate for funds at the moment.
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, I am right now trying to find 1500$ to cover a couple bills and food.
Until the 13th, we will not have food money, and the 15th fuel money. This makes doing a lot of things I need to do difficult, like eating and working.
Next up, my computer has reached the end of it's life span, and taken a few to many tumbles. The hinge has broken on the monitor and snapped the motherboard at the point the video cables and power input are located, and it's held together by the magic of dumb luck. The monitor is flickering, and the case is beyond repair so replacing the motherboard now is pointless. The only thing left to do is replace the poor machine and pull the HDD. Then see if I can't get Microsoft to transfer the Windows license to the new machine. I need a laptop for my job, because I have to carry my work with me to several places, I have found a replacement of the same specs, and I hope I can get it soon.
And lastly I have a few bills which I can't afford to pay.
I am looking for anyone who has any idea how I can quickly cover those expenses, and I would rather not be given the money.
I don't really have anything I could sell off either, and I can't take commissions until I finish my current queue.

Fur Meet Alabama?
General | Posted 13 years agoBeen feeling some serious stress from work, and a bad case of depression from that stress.
Having only a couple local friends, I am fully aware I need to get out and meet more people.
I would really like to start up a local fur meet for North East Alabama.
I live in Calhoun County, and the major cities here are Anniston, Oxford, Alexandria, Ohatchee, Jacksonville (Go JSU!) and Peidmont. Near by we have Heflin and Talladega, among other places.
Even the Iron City, Birmingham, is only an hours drive.
So I want to know, how many Furs are there near by enough who would want to meet up on a monthly basis, or maybe 2-3 months?
I think it would be really cool to get a bunch of us Furs together and roam the towns.
There can be a lot of stuff to do around here y'all. Who wants to help set it up?

So much work and so little time.
General | Posted 13 years agoWell I have the design for the CNC rig done, but I need some cash to finish it. Then I am going to start selling some 3d models, maybe even sell some table time to folks who want to make their own models.
Right now though I am really busy with work, and other stuff. I have a couple bills I need to handle, and no idea how to get the cash for them. -sighs-
If I have advice for anyone, don't get tied up so deeply in business that you get stuck being tied up in business.

Computer Numerical Control
General | Posted 13 years agoSo on the second, I was giving my little living space a bit of a going over, and I'm the kind of person who just won't pitch out those old Printers and other Electronic Devices so that half my room is a grave yard of what most would consider E-waste.
I was looking at 3 old printers I have stacked up under my TV, and I wondered, "How can I reuse these things so that I have not wasted my space?"
I went to everyone's best friend Google, you know the guy, and he told me, "CNC Machines."
I never thought about all the useful parts in what most people consider junk.
For those unaware, Computer Numerical Control machines take a blank, and make a 3d model out of it. In the case I have in mind, my blanks would be wood, brass, steel, and aluminum.
The best part is, with a CNC Machine, I could make a lot of the devices I need to proceed with several LVC projects.
My only remaining questions:
"Why did I not think of this before?"
"Why does no one else realize they can do this kind of thing?"
Well this morning, about 1am, I was feeling a tad bored and I decided to get to work on this machine. After about 30 minutes one of my old printers was nothing more than 2 circuit boards, a bunch of scrap plastic, a chunk of scrap aluminum, a ton of gears and springs, several metal rods, and the most important bit, 2 motors. All of this fits in a standard cigar box BTW.
Now that was 1 standard printer. I still have several former Printer/Scanners in a closet just waiting to become useful.
I expect they won't take more than an hour each to break down, and I'll be picking up a few little boxes to separate the parts out by type and size.
With that in mind, I think I can have the whole CNC rig together within a week, while still doing my sketch challenge, and normal work.
Now the problem. I can't make or program the specific board I will need to run the motors that move the gantry or any other part of the machine.
I know there are a couple linux based software packages I can get to handle the PC end of this all, and I just so happen to have already re-purposed an older laptop with a dead CFL into a Linux Mint Document machine that will handle that nicely.
I just need a bit of help in getting the circuits wired up, and chips programmed to accept the PC input.
If anyone wants to help, I should (Can't say will) have the parts to make 2 machines, and I will assemble the second for that person.
The design I have in mind is a 3 axis mill, though I am thinking of how to make it 4 axis, and possibly 5 axis. Though the latter two are unlikely to begin.
I'll get the first machine assembled and post a couple of pictures to scraps so you can all see my work.
***EDIT***
Went ahead and broke down a Dell Printer too this morning, it took only 15 minutes and doubled all my parts.

Just another Journal and Farewell to 2012, 2013 Bring it on!
General | Posted 13 years agoGood bye and good riddance 2012. You saw me arrested and almost killed my company, but I beat you and 2013 is already looking to make the best year for me since my life started it's down hill slide in 2007.
2012 saw the loss of several friends and family, sicknesses and deaths of people we knew, were close to or would have liked to meet. 2013 will probably too, it is a year after all, not a week, but I hope it won't be as cutting as 2012 has been, or 2007 was.
Business looks to be picking up and an LVC division is seeking investors too. We have high hopes for this year and a new partnership may just ensure them, keeping our fingers crossed.
Farewell 2012, Wilkommen 2013!

What's Up Today?
General | Posted 13 years agoRight now I am gathering funds for Max's Tail, the web show by LVC Partner Peppermint Fox. We're getting closer to launch with every week.
I have several ad packages I've been and will be selling till the show launches, and I am hoping that we can sell a few more. My personal goal is 25 basic packages next week.
So how about it? Want your ad to appear on Max's Tail Web Show? Buy our great ad packages starting at 350$! (Local 250$) 10k views and 6 months of banner space for 350$, and there are further discounts with larger packages too!
If you aren't in need of advertising, but know someone who is, send them my way, and I'll be really grateful.
Well now that that bit of plugging is done, I have a long day ahead of me.
Take care my friends.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's turkey time in the US and that means that soon the cities and suburbs will be alight with Christmas decorations and advertising.
Already the annual War on Religion is in full swing with battles over nativities in public places.
This year I expect to be particularly bad for it.
I just have one comment on this. The phrase is Freedom OF Religion, not Freedom FROM Religion.
You have a right to choose your religion or to not have one but you DAMN WELL DO NOT have a right to IMPEDE me from following mine.
If you don't want to see Christian symbols, then don't pay attention to them. I am not dragging you bodily into a church.
I have a right to freedom of speech and freedom of expression, these are all ensured by the First Amendment. So do you. However the use of ones rights to interfere with another persons is not protected.
Why do so many Atheists think they must FORCE their non-religion on the rest of us?
What is my faith hurting by existing?
How is being a Militant Atheist any less terrible than being a Religious Fanatic?
The double standard here needs to STOP, and this War on Religion needs to END.
I invite any atheist to give me one good, logical, and fair reason why I should not be allowed to publicly profess my Faith.
If you can do that without being a troll, then I may consider your position. If not, I have a culinary recommendation for you.

On Religion and Furry Also featuring LVC Jobs available now.
General | Posted 13 years agoI recently started reading a series of comics by a religious fur. I'm not going to post which ones specifically, but they have gotten me thinking about religion and where I personally stand.
I was born into a Catholic Family, and I am a confirmed catholic. Though since 2007, I haven't really practiced. I found it very difficult to lose my Grandmother to cancer that year, and I still have not recovered spiritually from that loss.
Additionally I have issues with some of the doctrine of the church, which no priests have been able to explain to me in terms that make any sense to me.
Example One, I am a Therian. What does that mean? It means that I believe that part of my soul is wolf. That is not to say that I am not 100% human, as I very much am. Think of it like having 150% of a soul, human and wolf together. I feel that God created me with this difference for a reason, but the church would disagree.
Another Example is with condemnation of homosexuals. Jesus preached love, and as such we should love each other regardless of our failings, we should not judge our fellow man as that is the dominion of God alone. Simply, Hate the sin, but not the sinner. Do not decry the sinner for his failings, help him to be better.
In all I find a lot of issues come when I contemplate my religion. Does that mean I plan to change it? No.
If one thing has been shown to me, it's that nothing is perfect when mankind gets involved.
Man is inherently corruptible. The scriptures may have been divinely inspired, but man is the one who put them to the proverbial paper.
What does this have to do with furry then? Well nothing really, but at the same time as Religion is on my mind, so to is Furry.
Furry to me is a great way to express myself, and it's also a point where I feel issues.
So often I have seen Furs give aide to those in need, helping many people and causes. Equally often I have seen Furs abuse.
I've seen the capacity for the Furry community to welcome people of any race, creed, age, whatever, and I have seen discrimination, drama, bullying, and more.
I guess what I mean is that Furs are only human. Well, at least under those fluffy coats, shiny scales, beautiful feathers, and more.
I've been very depressed lately, and Part of it is from Furry, Part of it is from Religion, and Part of it is just Life. I've contemplated quitting all of them, but in the end, I wouldn't give up any of it.
Thanks you fine Fuzzy things. Maybe some day I can pay it back.

LVC news being complete, lets talk about my idea. I have been writing a possible web comic during my short breaks from work. It's designed to be a once a week black and white comic, and It's high fantasy meets modern culture.
I want to know how many people would be interested in reading it.
LVC Looking for a new Web Dev.
General | Posted 13 years agoHello all,
As I've put up a few times in the past I am the Owner of a software/entertainment company in Alabama. Right now we are working on a web series that I feel will mesh with the Furry Community. Unfortunately our Web Site designer has left us and we are in need of a new one before we can begin sales of Advertising, Merchandise, and more.
The posting has only 2 requirements;
The Applicant must be a US Citizen,
The Applicant must live in, around, or be able to commute to, Anniston, AL. (Exceptions can be made under certain circumstances.)
After this they need to be able to program our accounts control system, advertising system, work with our video player, and our current site design.
We are working on a tight deadline unfortunately, and until the system is built our income is in limbo. The Contract for the post pays a percent of merchandise, ensures the contract holder of a Salaried position once our income has stabilized, There may also be a small signing bonus, but I can't make that a promise until I can be certain of the system functioning.
LVC has 500 ad slots available right now, of which we hope to sell 334 before the 7th of December. We would like the Pilot episode to aire in January at the start of the first TV Season in 2013.
We are also speaking with an investor to ensure we have all the equipment we will need to make this happen.
Our Email is LupaVulpaCorp[at]gmail.com
Thanks for your time,
Micheal Goode, CEO LVC

150 Submissions! What's Fawkes up to right now?
General | Posted 13 years agoI just realized! I have posted 150 submissions and I am less than 400 page views from 5k. (Currently it's 4664, palindrome FTW!) So 336 to 5k, I am finishing up the last picture for
wrathofautumn's Kakurenbo series. I'm going to put something special in it too, now that the back ground is looking so much better. (Thanks graph paper!) After that it's on to my other commissions.
I also have 97 watchers! Yay me! So for those of you watching me now, the 5000 page view gets a special request, and to the 100th watcher, there will also be a special request.
Tomorrow LVC meets with a team of Artists to join up under our department head,
Kitsukyo, and with any luck will be kicking Max's Tail Production into High Gear.
We are still looking for an additional investor for 5000$, so if you are, or know someone who might be interested, please email me at lupavulpacorp[at]gmail.com with the subject, "Interested in Investment"
LVC is really getting ready to make a move folks, Wish us luck.

Anthrocon is over but Not getting home soon.
General | Posted 13 years ago
mcwerewolf and
kitsukyo were in an accident on I79S and are stuck in West Virginia for now. Hopefully they will be home Wednesday, but Tonight they are staying in a hotel and are Okay.Kit's car however is likely to be totaled, and thanks to Fawkes's driving, no other cars were caught in the accident.
This means that Kit and Fawkes have to wait for a ride, because they can't afford to get home otherwise.
Fawkes and Kit are doing commissions and will likely put the money towards a replacement vehicle for Kit.
Please help them in anyway you can.
Thank you.
Why does my life have to suck?
General | Posted 13 years agoThe single thing I was looking forward to was suiting at AC and hanging with my friends.
Unfortunately my suit is ruined and I can't fix it without replacement sewing machine needles that I can't get here at the double tree.
I really am hurting from this, emotionally at least, and stress wise... It has ruined my entire night so thoroughly I once again can't sleep and that will be 2 days without rest.
If anyone is at AC and has some needles, I would really appreciate stopping by table L18 and telling me or Kit Ulf. I'm going around with my Fawkes Fenrium badges encase anyone sees me.

Max's Tail Kickstarter, Anthrocon 2012, and More
General | Posted 13 years agoWell Max's Tail's Kickstarter is Live and you know what that means? It means I need your help to spread the news about the show to the world. I'll be buying some ad space here on FA for Peppermint Fox Productions and their show Max's Tail. But in the mean time check out the Max's Tail Video's on Youtube and on the Kickstarter page linked below.
Max's Tail Kickstarter:
Lupalian Network's Youtube:
And on to ANTHROCON! That's right,
Kitsukyo, the lead artist on Max's Tail is now Anthrocon bound and his trusty pal, that's me, is going to help him work his table, L18 in the Dealer's Den.
I'll also be suiting as Fawkes the Wolf, anthro form of course, and attending a few panels when I have liberty. If you see me, just say hi and give me plenty of room, Fawkes has very narrow vision in suit.
I'll be hanging with Kit and
Zafuyu and maybe some others if I am lucky enough.
Which leads to the More from above.
I am helping Kit drive up from Alabama, We are still trying to get some additional money, because we only got our minimum to attend. Both he and I have commissions open, but the best way to help Kit is to buy some of his prints and Made as you wait badges, he has a bunch cool stuff for sale at AC and you should totally check it out.
I am also looking at opening a VERY Limited Investment opportunity in a small branch company of LVC, it's a sail-boat restoration and customization firm.
I have some people line up to work it if I do raise the capital, which is 5,000$ to start with a single boat.
If I do this, it will be 6 Special Investor positions, but they would be 2,500$ to get one.
Each Investor would receive 5,000$ at the end of 1 years time as the thanks for helping to start the firm, but that isn't the whole deal.
If the investor would like, they may split this payment and take 2,500$, leaving the second half to continue as the investment for another year, which would also pay 5,000$
If an investor does not split it after 1 year, they can also leave it as a second investment and the end of the next year receive 10,000$.
Only these 6 Investors would have access to this deal, but again, that is only if I decide to open those slots.
I have to know there is interest in such an endeavor before I do so.
This is entirely a personal project unrelated to the rest of LVC, I love boats, and I would like to open this branch, but it's not otherwise planned for. It was just an idea that I have had during this first leg of travel, and is something I would love to do later.

Feeling really bad right now. Need help with depression.
General | Posted 13 years agoI can't sleep, I can't eat, and I am feeling fairly worthless. I've left a friend high and dry thanks to poor planning, and I can't get enough people watching LVC's web shows to create business interests in them that would help get LVC off the ground.
I really don't know what to do anymore. I have to find some way to make it up to the people I have hurt, and I just don't feel like I can.
The past 5 years has been one failure after another, and each one digging the hole deeper than before.
I don't even know why I bother mentioning it on this site. Furrys are really good at helping, but only if it's a well know cause. If some big name fur were hurting, or a friend to the community as a whole, they'd get help, but little guys, no matter what they plan to bring to the community, never seem to get any attention.
I need to raise about 15 thousand dollars for an LVC affiliate, and right now we are working very hard on a Kickstarter project for their Web series Max's Tail.
I don't think there is any point in saying this, because I don't think anyone is going to bother passing the word along, but please.
If you read this journal, please help us spread the word about Max's Tail to the community as a whole.
Max's Tail is a show about a young man who becomes a dog to learn a lesson. Max, the unfortunate lad, has been seeking out a place to belong, and it got him into a lot of trouble.
The show teaches life lessons and a portion of all proceeds benefit charity organizations like those that help underprivileged children get pets, or pets get better health care.
It's a really great thing the team is doing, but they need help I can't give them alone.
At minimum I need to help
Kitsukyo raise 800$ before Anthrocon. He has a table payed for, and will be selling Max's Tail items, as well as his own personal art, commissions, and badges.
If you note him, he has pre-orders available now.
We need all the help we can get, so please... Help us help others.

Funny Stuff on the tube.
General | Posted 13 years agoAnthrocon 2012, June 14-17, and Max's Tail.
General | Posted 13 years agoHello all,
My company is publishing a new Web Show, Max's Tail, and we need your help.
Max's Tail is a show about Maxwell Barker, a young man who gets into a bit of trouble and starts to see things from a new perspective.
Our Lead Artist,
Kitsukyo, as well as our writer
Jinhelong, and several voice actors are hard at work to bring you an amazing series.
Kit even has plans to be at the Dealers Den at this years Anthrocon. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen bills and misfortunes, Kit needs to raise close to 800$ in order to pay for fuel and food.
We are selling Shirts and Coffee Mugs with concept art from the series in order to raise those funds.
Prices will be posted later this week.

Computer Troubles
General | Posted 13 years agoWell my laptop is giving up the ghost. The wireless card is fragged and the video card is on the fritz.
It can't even run MS Paint without glitching up, but my good art software has all been transferred to my Office PC for that reason, so I can still do art, but only on weekdays and only during normal office hours.
A replacement with the kind of parts I need is about 1800$, which is way out of my price range at the moment.
The big problem is that I need the laptop to work on LVC Animal Tech.
I am really hoping that people will buy some commissions, even if they are only the cheap dollar sketch coms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially spreading the word that I do coms and such.
