I found out that my arm injury is just a Tendon problem (after nearly 8 years of trying to figure out what it was! UGH!) I'm in Physical therapy to work on that now. Its going to be a life-long injury I have to keep a watch on. But I think with some more exercises I'll learn to manage it aok.

I got approved for Food Stamps & ABD (Aged,Blind,Disabled) so my bills are pretty much taken care of now ;w; (The evaluation was... humiliating tbh. I flunked it waY worse than even I was expecting. Math and memorizing is fuckin hard without writing it down ;_; )
Next to attempt is disability, if that happens I won't have to like, ever take Comms unless its a emergency. Which means tons more freebs & personal work which is super exciting.


So currently its 'take it easy, do simple comms on my discord server' & work on the owed stuff when i can manage it (and god do I have a lot to do/catch up on.) while doin physical therapy.

I'm swapping to 'Only taking cash when the commission is fully completed', Yes I know this means people might take the art and run.
But its better for Commissioners AND its better for my (severe) ADHD. Gotta dangle that carrot in front of my face so I get stuff done x_x;

Adderall has been helping (most days) but now there's a national shortage so they can't fill the prescription ;_;

Insomnia's super bad as it's always been but i'm tryin my best.

My knee is doing well after the surgery, its in no way perfect, but its better.
I can walk for about a mile n a half before I start crumpling like a soggy newspaper (But standing in place is impossible, have to be moving)
I'm still absolutely going to need my wheelchair for conventions n the like for the most part.
But the world is so ... different now. In a cool way, at least for my mobility. No more 'oh sorry I can't leave my house because I can't get down the steps.' or 'sorry you have to push my wheelchair up a mile of hills because I can't walk'

My biggest phobia of it is it getting into my lungs/causing pneumonia (it already nearly killed me 3 years ago) but so far its just absolute misery n akin to a extra awful headcold so i'm managing.

Don't have a set date yet but today was my 12 weeks mark from the left knee surgery and its already been a total world of difference.
The fact that I can trust my left knee not to give out the moment I put weight on it is just... so good!! Its been 17 years since I could trust it to hold my weight entirely <3!

So I'm gonna be goin back in! This ones not going to be as brutal (No breaking the bone to move the patellar tendon thankfully!)

Just need to put the patella back into place and the cartilage in the right knee isn't entirely shot so it should be a fast heal!

Healing is going great! Its doing tons better at this point and I'm -so- glad I finally got it done.
I'm only just now starting to manage sitting at my desk for more than a hour at a time but I still can't handle a full workday's worth.

I saw the surgeon for the second time today, he gave me the pics of the inside of my knee during the procedure.

(The patella/kneecap was twisted to the side and both too high on the leg and too far off to the outside of the leg)

Found out that one of many reasons my kneecap drifted is I have no groove where the kneecap is supposed to sit, its just smooth.
He explained that he -could- make a groove but it involved a morbid amount of trauma to the leg, breaking the femur multiple times n putting in so many screws n had very low success rates, so we can only hope that what was done is enough to keep it from floating off again, so far its doing exactly what its supposed to!

We did discuss that now it is my right leg (The unoperated one) that is now causing more issues, and isn't allowing me to get out n exercise to a point I'm satisfied with.
He tested it with his hands by pushing the patella off to the side and it moves -way- out of place [which I knew already, it wasn't just a issue with one of them, the left just dislocated aggressively, all the time]
n has decided to set me up with another MRI to start discussing surgery of the other leg.

Now I have no idea on if my insurance will *allow* me to get both knees operated on in the same year, but the moment I'm allowed to go back in for the other one you can bet your ass I'll be on that waiting list.
I've been crippled for 17 years of my life and I can see just how good it is to be able to walk again.
I'm so excited at the thought that I might not need a wheelchair to go to the mall anymore if I can get them both done n dealt with!!

That said I did get told by the surgeon today that if I don't have 120 degrees of motion in the next couple weeks that I might never have that level of motion ever because of scar tissues
he said in a emergency he could take me back to the hospital, put me under, and force my leg to do the proper motions but in about 3weeks to a month that wouldn't be possible anymore because doing so would just break my femur from how strong the scar tissues would be.

I mean I am at 110 as of today (with incredible amounts of pain tho) and i've been steadily climbing a few degrees every week.



I'm sorry that its been a while without many updates/commission completions n such, I've just been working so damn hard on getting my leg in working order to better the rest of my life n drawing in bed is not very easy. I will have the next month to try and get as much as possible done but I'm still not at 100% n have to take a lot of breaks which is very frustrating for my ADHD.

Speaking of ADHD I should be in discussions about possibly starting medication for it in the next few days to hopefully contain my absolutely uncatchable (and infuriating) attention span that has been making work (and Fun) hard for years now.
Much as I loathe to admit it, I'm the type of person (unmedicated) that would work best with same day commissions -only- to combat this but I have owed things I MUST finish first before I dare consider it xmx;

All in all the leg is healing incredible, I'm in discussions to getting the other knee fixed, I'm about to begin testing out some ADHD medication to hopefully get myself organized better. So things are slow, Life's been rough, but everything's getting better slowly but surely.

I'm both terrified and absolutely excited. The Dr explained how the Seattle doctors would do the surgery, and how he preferred to do it in a much less invasive way. (he explained the seattle docs might put screws in my kneecaps and further weaken them eep!) And he seems to be confident in his own procedure working as 'knees are all I work on, unlike Mr __.'

I've had to cancel my physical therapy appointments as my insurance will only cover 12 sessions a year n i've already used 3 xwx;
I don't know -when- the surgery will be yet, the scheduler wasn't in, but its why i've been very spotty.

its not a total knee replacement, and it will involve breaking part of my femur to make a groove to force my kneecap into its proper spot. So we are looking at a pretty brutal procedure.

I'm really really praying that this will go off without issue and that my first of two knee surgeries will be successful. ;A; /

also the cortisone shot helped so much which means the last guy that did it totally botched it cuz it felt like a bubble of water under my kneecap and just all around sucked ass

i'll be able to offer Baby/chibi forms that people can draw up into adults and change to their likings within the species boundaries [which atm is really just the hood shapes? That way they don't get confused with other snakes]

maybe get some guest designers so you can get cool adult forms from more than just me

Basis would be;
Buy Chibi form - You can use *any color* in that entire chibi to design your adult. If you like the color of the smoke more than say a... brown on the chibi? You can make your snake into a bright rave party!
You can remove colors from adult forms, but not add them [atm at least, that will change in the future]

ie : full hoods (kona) can produce more 'smoke' but take longer to refill
and multi-point (Noodle) produces less, but recharge faster

that their magic capibiltiy is not bound by their hoods, but by their heart and experience
i.e despite Noodle being both small and multi-pointed becasue of her heart and experience she can cast adept healing magic with smoke remaining
while Full hood Kona even using all her smoke, b/c of lack of those elements (self-centered/egotistical i.e hearts not in it nor study) she could only heal a papercut at best
