Another Zootopia 2 Update
Posted a year agoEarlier today, D23 held a panel with the director/writer as well as the producer of Zootopia 2. I found the livestream of D23 showing this interview and found out:
- Zootopia 2 takes place immediately after the first Zootopia movie. There's no big time jump between both movies.
- Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman are reprising their roles as Judy and Nick respectively. Ke Huy Quan and Fortune Feimster are new cast members voicing two new characters in Zootopia 2: Gary the pit viper and Nibbles the beaver respectively.
- Zootopia 2 introduces reptiles and fish (Fish appear to be non-sentient, and the Zootopia 2 clip shows they're eaten by marine mammals).
- They planned on introducing reptiles in a sequel since working on Zootopia, which explains why they expressed interest in a sequel back when Zootopia released in theaters during 2016.
- They mentioned Gary is a "highly venomous pit viper", which is the 2nd time this was mentioned at D23. They also mentioned "Nick and Judy will be on his trail in this story and may have to go undercover to new locations." I'm confident that Gary's venom is critical in the story likely that Gary bites someone or more than one, so Nick and Judy have to find him for the antivenom.
- The director/writer stated "Zootopia is just one city on one continent on an entire world of animals." and "We may start hinting at what lies beyond." The sequel could hint more cities when they also haven't introduced birds or primates in the first film. When they expressed interest in a sequel, many critics responded that it wouldn't be a good idea when the first movie didn't leave unanswered questions. The 'unanswered questions' back then may have been why reptiles, birds, and primates weren't in Zootopia, so interest in Zootopia 2 was to introduce reptiles. Since I did NOT see birds or primates in the Zootopia 2 poster, clip, or presentation...that could mean this sequel may hint a Zootopia 3 where at least birds or primates are introduced.
- They mentioned that in the first Zootopia movie, Nick and Judy were an "odd couple" and started working together near the end of the film. In this sequel, they still have a lot to figure out about themselves and each other. This could hint that the sequel will show whether Nick and Judy become a couple, just stay as friends, etc.
I don't know whether more will be revealed tomorrow but will be on the lookout. I'm also reviewing the #standwithanimation rally in California on whether animators and artists will receive better pay, working conditions, and NOT be replaced with AI during recent contract negotiations.

Another update
Posted a year agoGreetings everyone.
I've been trying my best to provide updates on the world wide web. Turns out the hospital that my mother visited after her car wreck did NOT put a lien on her house. They put a lien on her claim. However, I was surprised to learn from my attorney that a hospital can put a lien on someone's home when they don't pay the bill. She started feeling better with a brand new car that's better than her old one. However, she recently fell for a credit card scam where cash advances were charged to her account AFTER warnings and alerts were enabled immediately after her realization that they were scammers. This was likely an inside job and lazy staff who don't follow through on resolving fraudulent charges. This escalated to filing a report with the FBI since the bank isn't removing the fraudulent charges. I've been spending time with her whenever possible since she's been depressed since my grandmother died (I.e., her mother).
I also have to meet with supervisors next week. This is a 'We may have to downsize' meeting. I don't think they're terminating my employment but never know. This has NOT stopped me with ordering commissions that were already budgeted and still have plans for future projects. I also had to get some deep cleaning for my teeth and need a filling. That's life.
Although a lot has happened, I keep running.

Rest in Peace Dragoneer
Posted a year agoI never met or knew
Dragoneer. However, he was the one who established FurAffinity and helped make what it is today. This is the website where I felt comfortable uploading commissioned work and never expected to meet so many here. I hope to meet
Dragoneer in the next life.

Update on everything
Posted a year agoI hope everyone is well. I imagine many might be wondering why I haven't responded or updated anything lately.
As you may know, my grandmother passed away about two months ago. Her death hit my mother the hardest who has been trying to move forward since then. She left her property to my mother, which caused a rift with her sister and niece. Her niece (My cousin) was staying at my grandmother's property with her two kids for free living off my grandmother's money. My grandmother's money was split between my mother and her sister (My aunt). My mother offered my grandmother's property to my cousin less than half its market value, but my aunt took her half of my grandmother's money for herself. My mother hasn't talked to my aunt since then and gave my cousin until August to either buy the property or vacate it.
I've been spending more time with my mother who was feeling a little better each day until about a week ago when she was in a car accident. She was making a left turn, but someone ran a red light hitting her car. This wreck involved six vehicles but thankfully, everyone was okay. My mother decided to take the ambulance ride to the hospital and only had a minor gash on her hand (She didn't even need a band-aid for it). Her depression exacerbated from losing her favorite car (It's beyond repair, but the insurance company hasn't given the official word on that).
Over the weekend, she received a letter that the hospital put a lien on her house. Thing is that they haven't even sent a bill, and she doesn't have any debt. I guess in Florida, a hospital won't hesitate to put a lien on a house before even sending the bill. We're getting an attorney about that since she has Homestead exemption. Earlier today, her A/C broke. That's especially bad when it's July in South Florida. She's been depressed where I'm trying my best to help her as much as possible.
I was also trying to take time for my personal health. Back in April, I had so many events from work on my plate that I was about to have a heart attack. I took time off to visit Sweden for a week to fully recuperate from work. I have been organizing my time as well as budget and monitoring my health to get back into my routine with writing, ordering commissions, etc. I'm also planning on time off from work in August.
I will continue managing my time where I support my mother, do my job, write, exercise, upload my work, and relax.

New Update (Details Below)
Posted a year agoFirst, I want to thank everyone who offered their support. I didn't expect so much and am very fortunate as well as grateful for it. Earlier today was the service for my grandmother. I was sad but at peace knowing that she is not experiencing pain. I was mentally preparing myself before I lost her but was sad. I know that she is at peace. She and her husband (My late grandfather) used to own a popular grocery store, a home, and a farm in Cuba. After Fidel Castro took over, they lost everything. My grandmother took the chance with her daughters moving to the U.S. If she never took that chance, I don't know where I'd be today or if I'd even exist. Although I can't hug or kiss her physically, I believe that I will again.
There's another reason why I haven't been responsive as well as writing with my commissions. My job became stressful when a summer research program that I supervised wound up in the deficit. Long story short, a former Dean of a community college's honors program promised a $15,000 grant to my boss' boss that would cover expenses (stipends, materials, etc.) where it was revealed that this grant never existed in the first place. This former Dean also left the college without notice where I had to resolve everything to the best of my ability between several parties to retrieve funding. The deficit happened when one professor mentioned that they never received their materials after several requests for materials, so I signed off to award them additional money. At the time, I thought money was available when no one rejected or responded to my queries, then I got criticized where I constantly explained over and over again - THIS is what happened. Recently, I believe a director took sympathy and paid off the deficit after I explained everything. In other words, I didn't know whether or not I would be fired for a program that lacked funding when it wasn't even my fault and I was left to do every single thing to make it happen. In the end, I thankfully still have a job.
I also had to help a few international students receive approval for an I-20 to obtain an internship in the U.S. The international student office had a shift in leadership who required students to have an internship count as a requirement to earn a Bachelor's degree. However, no Bachelor's degree in my university requires students to complete an internship, but a loophole allowed international students in the Honors program to enroll in an Honors internship course where they could get the I-20. I also have to work on a syllabus as well as requirements for said internship course when this can be the only way for many international students to receive an I-20 to obtain an internship in the U.S.
Don't forget that if you want a chance to know how "The Bad Guys" were SO GOOD that night, you have until June 2 @ 11:59:59 PM EST to enter the raffle (Details are on https://www.furaffinity.net/view/56508521/).
Thank you all again so much for your support. I hope you look forward to more written and commissioned work from me.

I lost my grandmother
Posted a year agoI don't really know what to write or feel about this. I mentioned to a few friends that my grandmother was at the assisted care living facility and would likely have a permanent stay there earlier today. I had lunch at a restaurant, then my cousin texted me that my grandmother was rushed to the hospital. When my cousin texted that my grandmother wasn't responsive and needed chest compressions, I feared the worst. When I got there, I saw my family in tears and was told my grandmother was gone.
Last time I saw her was Mother's Day. I sat with my grandmother and spent time with her. She was 94, nearly deaf, and memory was bad. When she saw me back then, she was in shock that I was an adult. I think that she likely forgot that I was an adult and probably thought I was still her young grandson.
It's hard to write this. I wasn't in tears and when seeing my mother, aunt, and cousins in tears, I just wanted to hug them for support.
She helped raise me. She had a hard time speaking English. She'd say 'packetbook' instead of pocketbook. I remember when I was a kid, I wanted to get Sonic Adventure 2 for Dreamcast. My grandmother drove me through a horrible storm to help me get a copy. I loved her. I wasn't bursting in tears or yelling...I saw her, kissed her on the forehead, said "I was sorry" and "I loved her".
I have to take a walk. "The Bad Guys" NSFW YCH entry form for a free spot will be extended to June 2 at 11:59:59 pm EST. The 5 free spots were already paid by me where any selected DO NOT have to pay anything. I do not want the dates of that YCH form matching when I lost my grandmother. I'll run the raffle after that deadline.
My grandmother looked peaceful. I pray that she is at peace.

Personal Update Part II
Posted a year agoHello,
I wanted to give another update that all my events are done. Each one was successful, though I still have to complete some tasks (Email certificates, scores, etc.). I was at least finally able to have free time with writing scripts of upcoming projects. Many are on the way, but I don't know when they'll be ready to upload here. As for any already completed, I wanted to write the stories for those and plan to dedicate time for them.
Recently, my grandmother was admitted to the hospital. She lives with my aunt who found her asleep with her mouth open and unresponsive. Thankfully, my grandmother is okay and awake. They ran tests and couldn't find anything wrong. They found that she had old mini-strokes (From what they said, this is common with the elderly). Unfortunately, my grandmother hates staying in the hospital and is showing signs of senility. Basically, she's expressing anger towards my mother and aunt (Her biological daughters) that is increasing their stress.
I hope everyone is well. I also hope you enjoy more comics written by me.

Looks like I'm a year older today
Posted a year agoI've been so dedicated to my job that I almost forgot that today is the celebration of my birth. Three events are finished, including my biggest one though I still have to complete some follow-up tasks with it. I also have three more events coming up, including one in California tomorrow. On the plus side, the trip and hotel to California for the next three days is paid by my employer (Thankfully).
Although I have to still take care of a few things with my job, I am planning to spend time with family today.
However, I am finding time and moments of relaxation to write (Seriously, I have so many in the back-log and kept many waiting for too long). I can say that there will be some BIG projects. What do I have in store? You can see the comics in my gallery that still need an ending. I also have some single image and another potential free YCH raffle in the near future planned.
Oh, you want some inside information without looking at my gallery? Well I admit...you haven't seen The Bad Guys' BIGGEST score yet.

Personal Update
Posted a year agoHello,
I hope everyone reading this is having an awesome day. I suppose many are wondering why I haven't responded to you, wrote a story for a commission, finished a script for an upcoming commission, etc. Why? Here's why:
- This Spring, I've had to dedicate time for three conferences happening in the same month as part of my job with each one's logistics. This means that I have to:
- Review applications
- Establish and/or update websites
- Coordinate parking and catering
- Recruit judges
- And More for each one!
Doesn't my department help me? They give me more work, some help to the best of their ability, or never followed through with their promised help (It was 'beneath' them).
Outside of work, I've been put in an unavoidable situation that requires a huge financial decision. Every time that I try to speak with a financial advisor, I'm given that 'sales pitch' of 'Why you should stay with us', 'Why you should close them', 'Why you should open with us', etc. It's all delivered to me like a tidal wave of information where I'm drowning and attempting to get to the surface in understanding all of it. Whenever I want to make a reasonable decision, their reaction implies as though I'm a jerk for not siding with them and making it impossible for me to make it.
Bottom line, I am going to get back to responses, writing, etc. when I have a more clear head and relaxed demeanor. I am sorry if this is coming off as a vent, but I didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea with my lack of responses and activity.

RIP Akira Toriyama
Posted a year agoWhen I first heard about Akira Toriyama's death, I was stunned. I didn't even know what to say. I'm still at a loss of words. His work inspired so many in life and will continue to do so for the rest of eternity. I saw several social media posts about his work, life, and asking for fans' favorite scenes from any of his work.
I always liked the Android saga in Dragon Ball Z, namely when 16 was introduced. I remember feeling so much tension before 16 was activated. I kept wondering how much power he'd reveal in the series. What took me by surprise was his love of nature and life. Despite the reason of being built to kill Goku and even when he was badly beaten, he would take time to enjoy nature as well as life around him.
I read that Akira Toriyama also designed Android 21 in Dragon Ball Fighter Z. I remember another favorite scene with her when she was talking to Piccolo about appreciating everyone's friendship with Goku. Piccolo responds that everyone wasn't friends with Goku. They're enemies who just don't want to kill each other right now. That scene reminded me how nearly everyone Goku met and became his friend was once an enemy. Going as far back as the first Dragonball series, nearly everyone who became Goku's friend tried to kill him at least once. I remember my reaction and realization after watching that scene.
I read Akira Toriyama had many works in progress before his death. I know that he was working on a new Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball Daima. They revealed one trailer, and I assume that this will likely be his last finished work. I was surprised when I thought he'd focus making movies for the Dragon Ball franchise.
Rest in Peace Akira Toriyama
Your spirit will always live on.

Free YCH Raffle deadline on March 2
Posted a year agoHello,
I hope everyone is well. I just realized that the deadline for a chance at the free YCH raffle on https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55484667/ ends this Saturday, March 2. If any were interested, you still have a chance to enter on the Google form link in that page's description. I'm not ashamed to reveal that it cost me $450. Any who enter the raffle and win don't have to pay anything, because those slots are already sponsored by me. However,
SamashTommy are offering an option where any interested but not selected in the raffle can still pay $45 to be in it.
You might be wondering why I did this? Believe it or not, that whole comic commission experience and uploading it on here was a wonderful experience for me. This also was very helpful with my mental health. I was literally excited when uploading that entire conclusion even knowing the risks. I understand if everyone did not like the ending and reveal. As a writer and to be stronger, I have to take the good, bad, and indifference. I enjoyed writing it,
SamashTommy enjoyed it as well as drawing it, and many participated in the raffle.
If you haven't entered and are interested in it, you still have a chance to enter on the above-mentioned link.
Take care.

Hey, I'm back :)
Posted a year agoHello everyone,
I'm back from the conference. I had a lot of fun with students who were selected to present their work. Many had questions and were hard at work preparing their presentations. All of them did great and had many people go up to their posters (The layout is similar to a science fair in that people walk around and stop by a poster to hear the presenter explain their work). Although most were STEM, I also saw some in Social Sciences, Humanities, and a few in Business and the Arts. Everyone enjoyed the experience, learned a lot, and are excited for the next conference.
Now that I'm back, be on the lookout for some uploads.

I'll be away this weekend
Posted a year agoHello everyone,
This weekend, I will be away for a conference but should be back Saturday night as long as I don't experience flight delays. I'm not bringing my computer with me and am already preparing for my arrival at the airport tomorrow morning (I arrive early in case of long lines at security checkpoints, kiosks, counters where I need help, etc.). Since I have read that some organizations issued travel warnings to my hometown, I am going to live it up with a Summer trip this year.
I'll post on here again when I'm back at my computer. Take care. ^^

Update on Free Raffle
Posted a year agoWhy hello there, I see you're still enjoying the Mr. Wolf vs Mr. Snake conclusion. I understand if some may still be shy about sharing an email address on that raffle form in Page 41. I thought I had put it on the form in parenthesis, but you can mention alternate contact information on another website (PM on FurAffinity, DM on Twitter, DM on DeviantART, etc.). Whichever way you prefer to be reached for that free slot.
Oh...and what's this...why I may just happen to have a gallery of pics on my other phone labeled Not Suitable For Work (NSFW). If any think I was more naughty and clever, you can let me know on that form or here if you want me to share the NSFW version of Page 41 on my other phone.
Buh-bye. Oh, I know you'll be waiting for me about whether you got that free slot. I'll be collecting those forms until...March 2.

OMG, 1000 Watchers?!
Posted 2 years agoI can't believe it...my FurAffinity says 1000 watchers?! This feels AMAZING!!! Thank you all so much for the support!
One update: The Mr. Wolf vs Mr. Snake comic now has 8 pages left!
SamashTommy are dedicating so much effort to this conclusion. I can't predict when all 8 pages will be posted but will confirm that now Page 40 of this comic will have details on how to get a free slot for a commission worth $450! I will provide another update when the whole conclusion will be ready to upload here.
Do not worry as I have more to upload but have been busy. This is a busy time at work (Posting this during my lunch hour) and I've had to help my mother more often than before. Hopefully, I can upload more this week...though it's even hard for me to catch Looter.
After the Mr. Wolf vs Mr. Snake conclusion is finished, I have more ideas for comics. I am going to continue the Bugs Bunny vs Wile E. Coyote comic and have more on the way that I hope everyone here will enjoy.
I gtg back to work but thank you again for all the support!
