Nightmares
Posted 10 years agoYou ever go a length of time where you just don't REMEMBER your dreams? You recall how they felt, but with no context?
It's been goin' on for me since summer! And I'm just now remembering some ... a string of them were nightmares. And I just realized they're all connected. Same location, but different times, different characters ... like a story. I'm pretty sure this last one was the end of a chapter. Stuff's goin' DOWN. I reeeaalllly hope I just keep forgetting 'em.

BLFC and my biggest little moving plans

BLFC was amazing! The drive was much safer than anticipated. I gotta admit, the Grand Sierra offered as much as everyone had lead me to believe.
The con itself seemed to run very smoothly and the events were very enjoyable.
It's disappointing that I couldn't find time for go-carts or bowling in costume, but there's always next year. I spent a good portion with my friends and even made some new ones, a couple of which were extremely attractive, I might add ;) .
You've gotta love Reno, though, honestly. The food selection was great and heck, they let you waltz around with alcohol around the halls. And the parties, yikes, what a rush. Nothing like screaming Bohemian Rhapsody on guitar hero, with thirty people and roughly 300 jello shots at 2 in the morning, I tell ya. ANYWAY!
I scored some sexy prons and some random knick-knacks for a couple friend back home here, so yay. Uhm .... Lets see.
My camera was dead and refused to charge, so if ya were hoping for me to share some photos, they'll have to come from other friends of mine, unfortunately. There's a video of me diving headfirst into Rubiks blocks on FB, and there's always the fursuit parade.

Now that the con's over, it's mega-stress time!!! For those familiar with my current living situation, I'm planing on leaving the nest and moving outta my dad's place.
savagecat has offered me a room at his place, its affordable and convenient. My only woe is that it's on the peninsula, and I'll have to travel extra far if I'm to continue hanging with all my buds on the east bay.
But it's gotta happen. If I can't make cheap rent out on my own, I can't hope to move out anywhere. It's my life's next hazing ritual, and its made easier by a lot of my friends here, so thanks :) . Time to budget, change addresses, pick up a skill or two, etc.

Please forgive me if I seem like a flake or if I lose track of things for a couple weeks. Actually, I've probably been that way to some of you for weeks, now anyway. Emotional stuff. Sorry. I don't like to admit it, but I've become sort of a vulnerable guy in the past few months. This transition should really help solidify things.

Class at DVC was starting and even though I wasn't enrolled, I accompanied my gf at the time to campus. I'd spend time between her classes writing poems for her, and when we had time off we'd watch Dr. Who and cuddle on the grass. Birthday! Tag ALL the furs!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys I just wanted to thank every one of you who went outta your way to make me feel special for my birthday. No matter how depressed I may get, I always seem to find this fuzzy SAFETY NET of furs that won't let me down and reminds me of how appreciated I apparently am. It gives my life meaning and makes me feel needed in a sense (especially now in a time when I want to feel needed by someone).
I honestly doubt I'd be around by this point in time, let alone content with how life's going, if not for some of you folks. Thinking about it almost makes me cry.
But today I'm reminded how ... well, relevant I am in peoples' lives, and that they aren't afraid to let me know that they care about me. Being cared about is ... almost more important than anything else to me. Which is why I try and reflect that by caring for other people! But yeah.

He needs someone who could work a canvas for a couple hours max, so that's why we'd like someone who considers themselves a speed painter or something similar to that. Ah I like this question. You know, I'm gonna plug groggyfox this time. Practically the first furry I ever met, he's a talented photographer and a trailblazer in fursuiting as a craft- and performance art. This fandom wouldn't be the same without his energy, commitment and influence. Love ya man.

I try to comment on every fave unless I'm in a reclusive mood.
9. What do you typically post on FA?
The rare full-length story and whatever poetry my little meerkat hearts pumps out.

My own gallery? Well ... truthfully it's the least furry thing here. Oh god. Thats weird isn't it? My Tide of Vrykul World of Warcraft fan fiction.
These days I write a lot of stuff from the heart and there's not a lot of order. That story is a shining example of when my heart and mind created something self-contained, something both academically and aesthetically pleasing. It was a b-day gift to my sister, and I'm proud of it.
11. What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Anything and everything. Oh, if only I could draw, or animate, I could say so much more. But I have zero talent.
12. How many hours a day do you spend on FA?
Not much, I check my updates and thats it.
13. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
Medium, I'd say. Fun fact - I never understood the home-row thing. I'm the hunter-seacher kind of typist.

By no means have I ever wanted to leave because of the community, or admins, or anything.

Feeling pretty weird
Posted 12 years agoYa know, recently I've found free-time to actually be uncomfortable in
a way.
Weird, right? Shouldn't it be relaxing orrecharging?
But for several weeks I haven't really hada spark of creativity. I have time to sit
down and work on something, anything, but there's no drive. And it bothers me!
I feel like the only time I'm doing anything of value is with friends. Literally,
the last two creative things I did were for someone else, not for my own benefit.
I've been pouring myself into other people's lives for a while now, and when the
dust clears and there comes a slow, unsocial day to myself (like today), I feel dead.
I tap my foot waiting for responses on facebook and I pace around anxiously when
I'm texting. And it's days like today that relieve me of distractions like that, and
make me realize that I have nothing else to really do. It's pathetic.
It may sound admirable that I live mostly for my friends, but I gotta get
something going, something to progress with. Learn Java, work on my fursuit,
plan a trip, write a book, something.
It's weird, it's almost like I'm becoming an extrovert. I used to value

Any reality show, any ghost hunting and/or alien and/or bigfoot show (Scariest Places on Earth and Fear are exempt for nostalgia's sake), American Idol or any of it's spawn, aaand that about covers it.
2. A selection of musical artists you do not care for.
I am really not good with artist names. I can hardly remember the ones I actually like. I suppose any country artists for my dislike of the genre. Never have I seen such a lyrical focus on themes of loss, sadness, unrequited love, and the past. Soooo depressing.
3. A selection of celebrities you couldn't care less about.
AH! You actually said "couldn't." You get a point for being grammatically correct! ... ... Every single one of them. ALL the celebs. They have their own lives and it doesn't matter to me how they live them.

FC2013 con report from teh meerkat!
Posted 13 years agoSo, here's my rundown of Further Confusion 2013. Sadly I have no camera for pictures, but I will dig up some photos from friends and possibly some relevant videos if anyone is interested in how the con went for me.
Thursday: After a filling breakfast with klovix_teh_fox , tehfuzzykitty , and huffles , we checked into the Hilton around 1 pm. From the second we stepped in, I was already getting stopped every ten seconds and hugging/chatting with hella ppl! Registration was a huge success: both I and my roommates acquired badges very quickly. Suited around, and attended the opening ceremonies. Dance dance dance. The beds turned out to be very comfy at night (and during the day ... ). And for the record I slept very soundly throughout the weekend. Hotel beds win.
Friday: When at-con, do what the con-goers do! Hopped to the dealers den and got a couple art commissions, chatting and socializing the whole time. Acquired three furry themed energy drinks, a two badges, and some murry purry bookmarks. Met up with fatcat and hung out for a while, acquired some sugar and some props, and went to the advanced fursuiting panel. Those guys know how to run a panel, I tell ya (talkin' to YOU groggyfox !). Afterward - utilized the sugar and props for a hyper fun suiting experience! Went to both the Kage show and the Dance Competition. Was blown away, especially by our own silverwolf16 and wolfpuptk . Linked up with Cheshkitten and bluicelion and it was quite an experience seeing them and having fun running around the dance etc with them. ;) Also, did a bit of my own logistics helping leothelion and garagecrew prep a party.
Saturday: Tiring day! Got up in time for the Fursuit parade. Wore a special sci-fi outfit and prop provided by fatcat . Also, got to meet two amazing furs:
thabo and 
pattyopossum !!! After the parade we took a photoshoot together and they decided to do a last-minute sign-up for the Masquerade (I staffed it)! The Masquerade itself took up the rest of the night, paused briefly for some DELICIOUS SUSHI. The rest of the day kinda blurred from being so tiiirrired.
Sunday: Woke up a bit dehydrated and didn't feel like suiting. Floated around, hanging out, then went to the Lolita fashion panel. Then got to FC:U and had a great time. Gotta shout out to Sprout and Humble for putting on another terrific show. We all appreciate your dedication *standing ovation*! Grabbed some late dinner and then hit the hay for the night.
Monday: We all had to kinda get out the door on monday. After everything was packed in the car, we didn't really stay. I would have loved to stay for a couple more hours and say goodbye to everyone, but hey, we all had fun.
Pros:
-Super social con! I hung out with AT LEAST 100 people in the span of four days.
-Easy reg!
-Got to meet new folks, both those I planned on, and those I didn't!
-Had fun without too much alcohol involved! Always a good thing.
-Emotional con! And I don't mean drama. Seriously, I'm derailing this report for a second. Cons are all about crazy fun right? Well, let me tell you. This one had me encounter some pretty touching moments.
First off, I'm proud of you
silverwolf16 . You are so brave for your entry in the dance comp. Your performance made me CRY. Tears. Of happiness. And I hope to gawd no one got that on camera! ... He'd be proud, man. And 
wolfpuptk ! From what I heard about your knee problems, I honestly didn't expect to hear your name being called at the comp. And when it did, I cheered SO HARD FOR YOU. Nothing can get between you and your passion for dancing.
*sniffles*
OK back to the report.
Cons:
-Again, didn't suit or dance that much
-Didn't have time for the standard super-long furry goodbyes on monday
-Didn't get to hang out with EVERYONE I wanted to. Even after all that socializing. I apologize to anyone who felt left out because of me. I have no experience juggling friends and I made a lot of promises to room-parties and food-plans I couldn't keep. If I had the power, I'd freeze time and spend a full day with each and everyone of you who matters to me. In the end, I'm better at being clique-y, turns out.
Overall, another great con. I'm improving my experience with each year. And now for the shout outs.

Posted 13 years agoSo this head cold that I acquired is totally messing with my senses of smell and taste. I literally woke up this morning and made coffee - but to my horror, the smell actually made me nauseous. Never thought I'd see the day that happened!!
