Still alive! Real life updates! Birthday! Patreon launch!
Posted 3 years agoHey! Sorry for the radio silence, pretty much.. everywhere.
It's been a very stressful and busy time for me, in many ways, over the past couple of years. Trying to keep up with mountains of work, on top of real-life stress like moving, health, and the constant onslaught of bad news in the world, has been taxing enough that when faced with the thought of being active on social media or talking to anyone in general, I've opted to just hide or keep working. Things are, in some ways, a little more stable now, and I'm going to take advantage of this to get back on a more consistent streaming schedule, as well as being more active socially, communicating more, and making an effort to chat more in my own Discord server.
I've been quietly working away at many things, and it's been too long since I've really said much, in public, so here's some UPDATES!
REAL, OFFLINE LIFE:
Birthdays are coming up! My birthday is coming up in just a few days, on August 28th. Treppan's is coming up on September 16th! I probably won't have the time or energy to make a big event out of either, this year, but we might try to do something social, like a hangout stream in my server on or near either day. If you want to get gifts for either of us, talk to us (on Discord?) or consider a ko-fi donation, or we can work out something with gift cards, since having money to spend at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, or Steam could be useful or fun.
We started a garden! I'm very excited about all our little plants. Treppan and I have put a lot of work into it, and gifts/donations from close friends like Mervyn and Fel have made it all possible. We wanted to turn some of our useless grass into productive land, and it's been great for our minds and bodies, especially having something to do when we have physical energy but no "brain juice" (or wrist integriy) left to work on things like art. I've posted and shared some pictures on Twitter and Discord, and Treppan's posted a few as well.
I've been feeling better, physically. Aside from seeing and feeling the changes from increasing HRT doses, working in the garden and generally eating better has helped me lose a lot of weight, gain a lot of muscle, and surprisingly, all the shoveling and tilling has helped a bit with my arm and wrist pain, which had been grinding my art work to a halt.
PATREON:
I've been saying for the past couple of years, since before we moved into this house and the pandemic hit, that I'd reboot my Patreon "when I had the time" or "after I get more caught up on commissions." However, I kept pouring more and more of myself into commission work, repeatedly re-injuring my arm, and having to buy myself more time by taking extra commissions in weekend streams. For a while, this was manageable, treating these extra commissions as a "second job" for nights and weekends while I spent most of my work week on my older backlog of art. Eventually, the lack of breaks and constant hustle has made me slower to recover from strains and faster to burn out, mentally, to the point that I'm left staring at a canvas for an hour or re-drawing the same thing, poorly, for several. I don't want to be caught in this cycle, going nowhere. The only way I can see to get out and fully recover is to take less commissions and take more breaks, but this doesn't put food on the table. Merch helps, a little, and I'll be doing some things with that, but to really make an impact, I'd have to dedicate time or investment money I don't have to pumping out some of the ideas I have in yet another backlog of art I want to work on. I even have a backlog of fully completed and finished art, which has been delivered to the people who commissioned it, but hasn't been posted anywhere because the time and energy to write clever titles and descriptions never seems to present itself.
So, I've finally, actually, rebooted my Patreon. I'm not promising anything with it, right now, except a clear catalogue of my past and current art, and for most tiers, the ability to see my finished art as it happens (instead of days or months down the line), as well as my works in progress or warmups and doodles that may not otherwise see the light of day.
If this goes well, it could be life-changing. I might actually have enough financial breathing room to finish up everything I need to get done, and have a chance to get around to all the fun, new things I want to do and share. Animation, merch, comics, more personal art, social events, streaming, and even being able to open for higher-quality commissions or offer things I couldn't before, because I'd have a little more flexibility on my time. Most of all, though, I'd be able to get out from under the mountain of guilt and stress from having a backlog of art I need to work on.
So, what's there, now? I've uploaded nearly all of my art from the past two years to my Patreon, in full resolution, with every alt version, like what you've been able to find on my Discord, but better-organized. Over 600 posts, containing over 3200 images, divided by over 150 tags. Older works than that (Tumblr era, and yearly from 2017 to 2021) are available for free (or pay-what-you-want) on my itch.io page, which I'll link below.
What else do we get? For the best info, go look at the page itself, read the tier descriptions. In short, though, you'll be able to get access to my art as I finish it, usually long before it's posted elsewhere, a say in polls about future Patreon-funded art, behind-the-scenes looks at works-in-progress, warmups, doodles, opportunities to ask for tips and tutorials, and occasional freebies and requests during exclusive streams. It will be a while before I'll have the time to do all of these things as regularly as I want to, but my goals are also mentioned and explained on my Patreon page. It's all going to be a work in progress, and as I achieve more financial stability and freedom, I'll do my best to provide more and more for those that are making it possible.
MERCH:
I've been quietly working on, and releasing, some new merch! It's nothing big, because I simply haven't had the time to work on so many of the ideas and plans I have, but my Redbubble store has a handful of new and updated items, if you want to go take a look.
We're about to release a small run of special dakis! You know, those "waifu" body pillows. A certain someone has generously commissioned a custom daki of Treppan (that poodle partner of mine), which we might take some pre-orders for additional copies of, if people are interested. I'll probably talk more about it on my server soon, and put up a form for interested people to fill out. I'll likely take some input on other dakis (Raik? Artiumus? Rius? Jesse?) and see how these might do.
Stay tuned for other merch! My time to work on this sort of thing is limited, and has mostly been done in little bursts of energy when I can't work on more complicated things like most of my commissions. However, I've got some things I should be able to get out with a little less effort, and some bigger projects in the works for when my time starts to free up more. I really want to lean into getting more merch out over the next year or so.

Adoptables Later Tonight & Other Updates!
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! I've been quiet lately but wanted to give a general update on life and work.
Work has been going slower, because I've been fighting ulnar nerve pain (a nerve in my elbow is inflamed/trapped, and causing pain and coordination issues all the way to my fingers). The usual solution or "treatment" is weeks or months of rest, which I can't do, because this is my job and I have a queue to finish. I'm still working on commissions, but going easy on myself for a couple of weeks has helped a lot, though I'm still not better and don't know when I will be.
In the meantime, life keeps going, and it turns out we're moving. Treppan and Marie have been looking at houses, and finally found a very good deal on one. I didn't say anything about it, because a bunch of little issues (mostly negotiating repairs with the seller) have been pushing the closing date back or making the move less definite, but it looks like everything is going forward for sure.
We're moving witin the same city, but there will still be some interruptions, stress, and costs. I'd been planning and poking at some Covenwood-themed adoptables since before the event started, including cryptids, Mushlings, and some townsfolk. Lining or coloring one or two every few nights after working on other things, I've gotten the cryptids and Mushlings done, and am going to put them up for sale later today. I'm planning on flat-selling them for $70 each, first-come, first-serve, unless I get enough feedback that you guys would prefer an auction. Or, I can flat-sell these, and auction a few others next weekend or something, since different people think one or the other is fairer. I'll put out announcements on my Discord and Twitter shortly before the adoptables go live, with a preview on my Discord.
β οΈ The adoptables themselves will be sold through a FurAffinity submission! β οΈ
If anyone doesn't mind the wait (knowing about my arm pain), my commission queue is still open, and I would really appreciate ko-fi/donations to help with the move and the problems this slowdown is causing; I have bills to catch up on.

[CLOSED] "Covenwood" (and other) Commissions!
Posted 6 years agoHEY, Y'ALL!
It's been a while, but I'm opening for commissions again! If you're interested, take your time to read over this journal and absorb everything, so you know what you're getting into!
I know it's a lot, so don't be afraid to ask questions, via notes, comments on this journal, or Discord.
If you're still confused or have any concerns, ask me or Treppan/SodomyDog!
THE SIGN-UP FORM IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS JOURNAL!
COVENWOOD?
Covenwood is a fictional town somewhere in the mountains on the border of West Virginia and Kentucky. It's an idealized little piece of Appalachian Americana where many of my OCs live. On the surface, it's just a little nowhere hicktown, complete with pickup trucks, trailer parks, booze, weed, and a quaint little town square in what passes for "downtown." Stay a while, dig a little deeper, and you'll see there's... a lot more beneath the surface.
Most people don't know it's there. Sometimes it shows up on maps, sometimes it doesn't. If you tell someone you've been there, or are going there, they'll nod politely and pretend they didn't miss the name of that town you just said. It's connected to the rest of the world. The residents leave town all the time to work, to shop, to travel, to see family and friends elsewhere. But sometimes that connection seems a little loose, or twisted. Sometimes it becomes apparent that Covenwood connects to other places, as well; it's a border town in more ways than one, and those borders are blurred.
The denizens of Covenwood end up there when they need to be. Whether that need is their own, or someone, or something else's, varies. The normal residents come from all over, drawn from afar before starting new lives or living for the first time. Some were on the run, from people, from their pasts, from trouble. Some are born there, tied to the town from their very beginnings. More than a few come from other worlds, beyond the stars, beyond this plane, beyond the veil. Some should have moved on, but never left. Those who aren't welcome, those with malicious intents, find no hospitality, and end up crossing one of the borders out of Covenwood soon enough. The town takes care of its own.
Not everyone in Covenwood knows about the monsters, the demons, the aliens, the fae, the ghosts, or the magic. Most only know about a few. But plenty of the townsfolk embrace it, finding friends from outside their world, and discovering thier own connections to the forces behind it all. The occult is part of the identity of Covenwood, with visitors (and the more naive residents) often writing it off as kitschy quirk for tourists. Meanwhile, the longtime residents know that if they head down to the crossroads gas station at midnight (it closes at 8, 9 in the summer), the shadowy attendant runs a very different kind of store that can get you just about anything you need.
CHARACTERS
Are you curious about the characters of Covenwood? Want to know a little bit about who you might end up boning?
I got you, fam.
Covenwood Character Lineup
Above is a convenient lineup of most of the current Covenwood characters, labelled, and in a consistent style and size. Yes, there is cleaner, clearer art of many of these characters elsewhere, but I wanted something more consistent without having to line and color 20+ characters in one day.
The post also includes simple biographies of the characters of Covenwood, listing some basic backstory and information, along with the Horny Details for everyone. May be updated in the future.
You can also get the text file for the bios here, but it might be hard to read.
You can also ask questions, in comments or on Discord!
WHEN WILL I GET MY ART?
Because I take commissions in huge bulk batches and just work through them as fast as possible, this can vary wildly! If you have something time sensitive, let me know, and I can guarantee you a due date for a fee. Otherwise, they're "done when they're done." Earlier sign-ups could be delivered in days or weeks, later ones could be months, depending on how much interest there is. If you're impatient, you might want to sign up early or get in touch with me before ordering. You'll get what you paid for, eventually, but you may have to wait!
As of the opening of this event, I'm finishing up about a week's worth of work before I start on anything taken in this event. This way, Treppan has time to send invoices and organize everything into a queue for me to work from. I will be attending FWA, so there will be a gap in work near the beginning of the event, but I will return to work as soon as we get back.
π© MECHANICS π©
Most of the pieces and specials are pretty straightforward, and shouldn't need any more explanation than what's provided in the specials descriptions or the quality level examples.
The general theme of this event involves an idealized rural American vibe, specifically in the Appalachian region where "Covenwood" exists. For more information about Covenwood, read above. Many of the specials and themes involve this aesthetic or scenes with OCs from this setting (belonging to myself or Treppan).
It also extends below the surface of Covenwood, to encounters with the less-usual residents, whether they be cryptids, demons, ghosts, fae, or aliens.
These will be treated like my usual "Random Encounter" commission events. Most of these encounters are NSFW, typically depicting your characters banging or getting banged by the subject(s) of the encounter, though you can have SFW encounters if you wish. Encounters are based on random rolls on a secret table, which are kept flexible and vague enough for me to work it into something interesting for everyone. The encounters will be tailored to fit your preferences, based on some questions and checklists during signup; you'll choose what kind of creatures or people you encounter, but the final outcome will be a surprise. You CAN request specific creatures, characters, or encounters if you wish.
NOTE: Because of interest from people who missed the previous events, you CAN get Fantasy or Sci-Fi content instead of Covenwood content. There are options for this on the form, and you may want to mention it in your prompts if this is what you're interested in.
QUALITY LEVELS & TERMINOLOGY
I am changing the way I divide commission quality! There are now 4 levels of line and color quality, with backgrounds, shading, and cut-aways as a separate cost (no longer rolled into the cost of "lined" art, for example). This means you don't pay for things you don't need or want, and I am more correctly compensated for the amount of time needed for certain complications so I don't have to rush through any of your work.
EXAMPLES ARE NEARLY ALL NSFW!
QUALITY LEVELS
Rough Sketches:
No background or color at all, good for bulk or a starting point to be refined into other commission types.
Haka, Raik 1, Raik 2, Rius, Rius + Asmo, Rosier
Doodles:
Very simple/quick lines, less attention to accuracy of anatomy, some details omitted and features simplified and heavily stylized. Simplified colors.
Terrance, Fundip, Fyura, 420,
Colored Sketches:
Cleaner lines, but still not fully refined. Generally accurate anatomy, but some stylization and simplification. Accurate but simplified color blocking, some gradients.
Raik 1, Raik 2, Rius, Creak, Riverlotl, Jesse + Daryl,
Lined:
Clean, colored lines, refined over multiple steps. Detailed, with accurate anatomy and perspective (within reason). Detailed color blocking and gradients. The bulk of my gallery and commission work tends to fall into this category.
Jesse + Daryl, Harvey + Daryl, Artimus, Tyree + Fritter, Asmo + Kuro, Kerrion + Monster, Asmo + Creak, Rosier
Reference Sheets:
All reference sheets come with a SFW and NSFW version.

TERMINOLOGY
Solo, 2Ch, 3Ch, etc.:
Simply refers to how many total characters are in a piece.
Close-Up:
A "zoomed-in" crop, usually higher detail, at whatever quality level you choose. Typically includes half of two characters or so, but may include more or less characters and detail depending on the specific request.
Specific Character:
Refers to adding a specific character (yours or a friend's) to a scene, where I will need to see reference or work from a detailed description.
Special Character:
Refers to adding a character that I'm making up from scratch (such as a random encounter character or if you have nobody specific in mind, like "I want to see my character being fucked by a big werewolf."), or one of my OCs. These are cheaper, because I do not have to match your reference and have some freedom to work.
Background Character:
A less-detailed character in the background of a picture for filler or cameo purposes. Can be specific or a "nobody," but will not be very detailed (often lineless art) and may be heavily eclipsed by objects or other characters. Good for including a mount/pet/etc. in the background of a scene.
Backfill Characters:
Refers to me filling in the foreground and background of the picture with as many implied characters as is reasonable. Will mostly be cropped out of frame, showing only genitals, hands, etc. Good for a bukakke/gangbang scene, or an anonymous crowd in the background. Will be lined in close-ups, lineless/low-detail in full-body pics.
Page:
A bulk commission type where I draw 6-8+ characters worth of content at whatever quality level you choose, with the gaps filled with close-ups and doodles. Artist's choice, detail and level of crop/zoom will vary; you'll have to trust me!
Cut-Aways:
Separate panels over the main picture showing details or close-ups. Could give context, showing things that happened before or after the main scene, or just show what's going on from a different angle.
Alt Version:
An edit of an existing picture. For example, if you wanted versions with and without clothes, different outfits, or with different sets of genitals. Simple edits, such as a version with or without a reasonable amount of cum, do not cost extra. Can also be used for other changes, like if you change your mind about something after the fact, or want another character entirely swapped into the same exact pose as an existing one, though these may cost more than the default quote.
Complicated/Mechanical:
If I need to draw anything that is especially detailed or requires exact perspectives and geometric/mechanical shapes, this can often take almost as long as drawing a character. Fees for this are typically added automatically, though you can opt-in if you know you're asking for something complicated if you want to avoid communication delays.

NOTE: You CAN use these same prices to buy fantasy or sci-fi encounters, if you really regret missing out on a "Random Encounters" event before. Make sure to be clear about this on your form!
