Heya, long time no see!
So, I haven't been producing or uploading art for years, but I would like to get back on it.
Thing is, that way back I used to draw in PS or Gimp, using some ancient Wacom tablet, that has since stopped working.
And I want to purchase a new one, and have been wondering "What are the kids using these days?".
So, please if anyone could recommend a new drawing tablet, that is preferrably affordable and available in the EU, I would be extremely thankful. <3

I've been feeling more and more uneasy and anxious lately. It seems that I want to retreat back in my own little cave, but I cannot stand my own company.
And the fact that my mate will be off to Germany this moth, does not make it better. I'm actually fearing that he won't be coming back, which arguably is silly, but I really can't help it. I'm just terrified of losing him.
Being constantly depressed as hell isn't really helping either.
I do try, I really do. But sometimes I seem to lose the grasp on reality or it simply strikes me too hard.

Ugh.

I keep getting less and less feedback on my art, which is really hurting my motivation to keep on doing this.
Plus, everyone seems to have so many friends in here, and I'm just here being socially awkward and feeling like I'm wasting my time.

I just moved and I aspire to have my new garden sprouting with plants this year, so I figured I would do some sketch commissions in trade for some seeds.
Some dried plant parts are also welcome :)
You can ofc also just transfer $$ to my paypal if you'd like.

<3$ worth of seeds will get you a rough sketch
4-7$ worth of seeds will get you a more refined sketch.
7-10$ worth of seeds will get you a coloured sketch
10$+ worth of seeds = ???


These are guidelines for single characters of "simple" design (no huge, elaborate wings, armor, etc.)

Anyway! My adoptables auction will probably be delayed a bit, since...
#1: I need to colour more
#2: I've been wanting to write some more background history for them, and the Grímaera race in general.
#3: I am working on paintings for my family for Christmas, so I'll need them to be done first.

It's so perfect, that whenever me and my boyfriend go for one of our dusk-walks together at this specific location, we always spot these bats flying around. And not just fleeting glimpses. They always fly closer to examine us and circle around above our heads.. So close that we can hear them <3

Before I moved to this area, I had only once before seen a bat. It was back when I was around 9 years old and I found one, lying on the ground. It was still alive, but obviously not well, so I took it home and tried nursing it back to health by keeping it warm and presenting dead flies to it. Unfortunately nothing seemed to work, and within a few hours it died in my hands.

Although seeing them again makes me think of that poor bat, it still fills my heart with joy to see some that are healthy and well. :)

Alright, so I might be dying.
Just kidding.
We all are.

But I've been thinking about it alot ever since my father passed away.
That whatever little time I might have on earth, I should be spending it on doing the things I love.
So what is it I really want to do?
Is it to do my duty and wake up early, force my husk to some place I despise, to work with people that make me uneasy - just to make money for somebody else?
Or is it to go back to studying, only to do the same soul-crushing routine as mentioned above ?
Or maybe... just maybe.. I could say "fuck this." and do something I might actually enjoy...

All I really want to do lately is to grow, be creative, spend time with loved ones and to be surrounded by animals and nature.
This has lead me to seriously consider moving out on the country-side. More specifically; close to an old hippie commune (that way I, there's no way I could get bored ;) )
It's so tempting...

Sorry about my ramblings. Life and death just fills up my mind-space alot lately.

I'm very proud of myself, since I stopped smoking two months ago and it's probably the best decision I've ever made.
So far has greatly reduced my acid reflux and I think I'm getting my sense of smell back :p

I'd just like to say that it has been much easier than I thought. I just had to realize that I did not "need" the cigarettes in my life anymore. That I did not want them to poison my body and mind anymore.

I'm in need of some fresh music to paint to atm. Instead of having to browse through youtube and/or my old playlists, I'd like to take a look around for some new ones.
So, do you know where I can find some great playlists / radios?

I like: metal, rock, classic, ambient, epic, orchestra, some electronica and indie, acoustic, etc.

I dislike: Most pop, dubstep, techno, screamo, etc.

This week I've been working on creating some adoptables for you, since several people have shown interest in having a Grímaera to themselves ;)
I'll be uploading some sneak peeks for you to see, but they will not be put up for sale yet!
But please note me if you're interested in one, so I can put you on a mailing list for when they're available.

Working on these has made me feel more confident and has helped me past the sense of crippling self-doubt. This will hopefully mean a greater stream of uploads on my behalf and I'll be able to finish the gift-art I owe.

As some of you might have noticed, I haven't been around much lately.
I'm hoping to change that though and am currently trying to draw something I won't just throw away instantly.

And to those I still owe gift-art: Don't worry, I still haven't forgotten you and you will get your drawings. But I hope you understand that I've been going through a rough patch and that forcing one self to be creative can be hard and in my case usually does not give off good results. I'd just rather be able to make something that we both can be happy with :)

My father died on March 13th, just 15 minutes before I arrived to the hospital and the funeral was yesterday...
These are difficult times.

I don't know when I will be drawing again.

It hasn't been easy, but it seems like I'll get through it relatively safely

... which weighs quite heavily over me these days.
I just wanted to excuse for any delays in replies, commissions and contest prizes.
Also I will have to post-pone any commissions I was hoping to start to afford to celebrate my birthday this month.
