On 1 August 2022, I must admit that  hyhlion cannot (or is not willing to) continue my commission. This August is three years after his initial deadline he promised, so I decided to choose today as the end of torment.

The latest or last draft was given in October 2019, and after an over one-year disappearance, HYH Lion appeared again, described his personal difficulties, and promised to give a revised draft within a deadline many times. He gave nothing until his new disappearance.

Since early 2022, he has not given any response to my messages, although he posted several artworks on Fur Affinity recently. However, I am not sure about if the artworks were posted by himself, if they were finished this year, and if they are done by himself.

A decade-long trust between HYH Lion and me, unfortunately, is gone. He can still send me a new draft or a refund, but I will not remind him about the commission anymore.

However, the great ideas for this commission should not be wasted. I will try to finish it by myself, and I may seek another talented artist to complete it, with a cost higher than $179 (USD in 2019), a price equivalent to what HYH Lion received from me.

A mistake on an artwork can be fixed easily, a deadline for a commission can be negotiated easily, but a trust between an artist and a commissioner cannot be recovered easily. I do hope this kind of crises will not happen to anyone, anytime.

Artists should be honest to their customers and not set an unrealistic deadline, lie to them about the progression, ignore messages, and ultimately… take their money and not draw at all! The market is 100% for artists, and customers are just their lambs to kill. The dishonest artists have no shame!

Some artists (especially from East Asia) are DISHONEST like Russia. I’m very conservative, so I feel very disgusted when they keep delaying generally comfortable commissions but giving priority to BORING YCHs and PEEING SPARKLEDOGS. They’ve been saying ‘I’ll draw yours soon’, for YEARS! The furry fandom is being destroyed by those talented but DISHONEST artists!

I announced that the ultimate deadline for a revision from the Chinese artist  hyhlion is officially 31 July 2022. I have been extremely generous that the previous revision was released back to October 2019, but it should not be tolerated anymore. Draw or refund!

Meow successfully contacted  hyhlion on 28 June 2021, and figured out the reason of his absence for over one year due to personal issues (confidential). After an apology to him, the commissioned artwork has been resumed and will be finished later this year.

Meow announced that Meow’s personal website ‘Meow’ became operational on 23 September 2020. The URL of https://meow.pro is now redirected to ‘Meow’. All contents related to Meow on the website Chita have been moved to ‘Meow’, but the links of original characters are kept for redirection to ‘Meow’.

All of the past and future commissioned artworks of Meow’s original characters will be posted on ‘Meow’ instead of Chita. Meow will also post original contents on ‘Meow’ including articles and possibly, original artworks. English and Chinese posts are separated, and in the future, adults contents will get their own exclusive category.

Powered by WordPress with the latest theme Twenty Twenty, ‘Meow’ features a plenty of modern designs and functions. The website is pretty responsive for all browsers on your desktop, tablet and phone. If you enable Dark Mode on your operating system, ‘Meow’ will automatically switch to Dark Mode. The commenting system on ‘Meow’ allows Disqus, Facebook, Google, Twitter, WordPress.com users to log in and reply. Moreover, you can subscribe ‘Meow’ and read the entire posts on your favourite news reader.

Chita is now completely separated from Meow’s contents, including the cover photos. They have been replaced by other five artworks drawn by Link2004 whom Meow has met several times. Chita will continue functioning as a collection for the best furry and some non-furry artworks that their artist do not prohibit sharing.

Meow (the commissioner from Taiwan) paid  hyhlion (the artist from the Hubei province of China) 179 USD in late August 2019 for an artwork featuring 3 characters, and an outline was sent in late October 2019. Originally, the commissioner commissioned to the artist in July 2019 and the artist promised it would be completed in August 2019. The commissioner contacted the artist for the last time on 23 January 2020 but lost the connection with the artist since that day. The artist never replied to the commissioner’s any message since then.

Fur Affinity shows the artist’s last activity was on 4 February 2020, but QQ Music reveals that the artist has remained active until now. In December 2019, the artist also revealed that there are 8 unfinished commissions. The commissioner and the artist had a long-time partnership regarding to artworks since 2008, and the relationship was stable until this event. Since it is uncertain whether the artist cannot continue the artwork or does not want to finish the artwork, the commissioner has to make decisions regarding to the artwork and the involved characters.

The commissioner will suspend all 3 characters (Céline, Fahada and Nekoneko) featured in the commission indefinitely, and all previous artworks done by the artist will not be promoted indefinitely. These two decisions will be reviewed if the artist returns and finishes the commission in the future, although the possibilities should be very low. A new character for succeeding the 3 characters is also officially initiated today.

I finally retook the Facebook account which was originally registered by someone in Bahrain with one of my email addresses four years ago.

My website uses Twenty Fifteen theme which can present images randomly on the left side. There are currently three pictures, but they should not be enough for my website.

I want to have at least three well-drawn artwork from other people. They should all include a standing female mammal furry. The width and height should be at least 954 and 1,300 pixels. I feel very unsatisfied with my first artwork for Nekoneko, as it shows that I have no skills on drawing at all. I finally realised that I need to learn to draw step by step.

I will buy some books and practice drawing from them in the future. Once I feel satisfied with my drawing skills, I will release my own artworks again.

I am not good at drawing. I want to participate in furry fandom so I had to purchase commissions; however, I haven’t had enough money since the second half year of 2014, and now I even don’t have enough money to swim every day.

Furry fandom is not a pure furry fandom; it is the fandom of furry artists and wealthy furries. I will still try my best to have two commissions I promised in 2015, but it is time to think about if I should stay in this fandom.

The winner is a dog character named 'Pickles', who meets all requirements and suits Nekoneko the best. I will write a story in Chinese featuring Nekoneko and Pickles initially, then the story will be translated into English by myself.

To promote them better, I will seek an artist to paint a drawing for the two characters. Nekoneko may still wear a swimsuit under the same colour, yet Pickles' is still being brainstormed. People will be able to see the artwork in this year.

There are other seven nominated characters conforming the requirements. They are good enough to be chosen, but they may not suit Nekoneko the best. For example, some have spots or stripes, but Nekoneko has already had both of them. I would also like to choose a character which is not very popular.

The owner of Pickles must reply on my private message within a half of month, or I have to hold another contest.

There are still fewer nominated characters than I originally expected, so I will choose the final character directly in several days. She will not only follow all requirements but suit Nekoneko very well. I will also write down the reasons why I would like to choose her.

It is really disappointing that there are still very few people joining the contest, which offers a chance to make one’s character featured in a story and a drawing with Nekoneko. I do not understand why people do not want to win a drawing which is worth about 100 USD.

The nomination of featuring your character in Nekoneko’s story has begun on 31 January, but there have been some issues that I have to make notes to explain. Firstly, if your character does not conform the five requirements, it will not be chosen. Moreover, if you do not provide enough information such as height, I will decide the other details of your character. The satisfied nominated characters are still very few. If the situation continues, the deadline will be postponed.

The bonus for both Nekoneko and your character is precious— a commission of a well-done coloured artwork that I will design and pay in mid-2014. You have to nominate your character on the page before 24:00 on 14 February (UTC), if you want to make your character featured in the story and the bonus. I will begin to write the story in March.

Since January 2013, I have posted several new artworks for Meow, Céline and Fahada, and they look so incredible. However, it has been over three years since the latest artwork of Nekoneko, who is also an Egyptian Mau but has a more ordinary figure. She also looks significantly different from Meow, my own exclusive character.

In the near future, I want to write a story for Nekoneko, expanding from the artwork Nekoneko’s Summer. Yet, I hope there will be another character in the possibly adult story who is not mine. To match Nekoneko’s looking, the character must conform the following requirements:

• Female
• Well-known mammal
• 150 to 170 cm tall
• Not so thin or chubby
• Cup size of a pair of breasts between B to F (US)

You only need to post the link of your one character in the comment below this journal, or you can describe the character by texts if there is no image of her. The nomination will end at 24:00 on 14 February 2014 (UTC). After that, I will select ten characters and choose the final one by a fair method in several days later.

There will be possibly a bonus for both Nekoneko and your character after the story is completed. Do not miss this chance.

Fahada is not an entirely new character; she is actually renamed from my first character under original settings in 2008. I am going to release her four past images in the gallery in following days, yet the fourth one has been partially redrawn by its painter for correction.

My birthday comes, and I am getting older. There were so many challenges in the past year, yet I will get more in my next year. I hope when my next birthday comes, I have reached the goal I want.

Regarding to the next commission, I have to postpone it. The date when I will really release it remains uncertain, but I would like to release another artwork in January, which is being revised.

Until December 2014, Meow will be very busy for training, working and preparing for an exam, so there are some new promises on the Internet.

Meow will post things on Google+ and Twitter at least twice a month.

Meow will post at least ten translated pages of Better Late Than Never with at least ten forwarded artworks each month.

Meow will purchase a commission every four to six months.

Meow will continue providing important articles of tropical and extratropical cyclones occasionally.

Meow will not post and read anything on Facebook except messages.

Meow will be still alive.

I hope everything related to that commission is now over. I will seek another artist to draw my new character in April.

The British artist offered a refund and insulted to me just now. I finally realised that she just does not want to draw for me at all.

Sorry, the planned third artwork of my Meow character is canceled.

If you dislike my Meow character, you should tell me first. The British artist didn’t, and she accepted to draw under full discussion.

After delaying for 3 months, she wanted to draw, then she suddenly denied after a half of month, by feeling frustrated. How can an artist be so selfish?

She is the worst artist I have ever seen.
