My guess for Blaze The Cat's BWH is 53/40/56 - 20A
Posted a year agoMy guess for Blaze The Cat's BWH is 53/40/56 - 20A.
But, getting there was another tale...
When you work with fictional characters, you often find that taking measurements is only as good as the proportions the artist used. Which means everything is part science, and part art. The more liberties the artist used, the more we must play with our numbers to achieve something believable.
We saw a bit of that with Amy, and we see even more of that with Blaze.
Our process began as the others did. I found promotional art for Blaze the Cat. This was on one of the Sonic wikis. But, I believe this was the same art that appears in the title screen, and manual... just for reference.
Likewise, we grab her numbers off one of the wiki results in a quick web search... 95cm and a range of weights (it says between 24kg and 29kg.... Well... that's less helpful... ... ... I just decided to go ahead and move forward and worry about that part later).
So Anyway, we took her measurements:
- Height: 1392 - 95cm
- Bust: 188 / 1392 X 95 = 12.83 X 3.14 ~= 40.28cm ~= 15.86”
- Waist - 158 - 158 / 1392 X 95 = 10.78 X 3.14 ~= 33.86cm
- Hips - 182 - 182 / 1392 X 95 = 12.42 X 3.14 ~= 39.00cm
- Under-Bust: 180 / 1392 X 95.= 12.37 X 3.14 ~= 38.85cm ~= 15.30”
...
...
...
Uhh … AA?!?!
...
...
...
I suppose... She is described as small chested... But, I don't think so.
So we grabbed a different piece, and tried to see if we could make a ratio to find her chest . In this case, I found a picture of Blaze in her Ice Skating outfit from the Tokyo Games. And get our ratio and new measurements:
- Ratio: 69 / 78
- Under-Bust: 40.28 X 69 / 78 ~= 35.63cm ~= 14”
It's not great... I mean it makes her Bra a 14B, which is a bit big, in my opinion.
Still, With all those measurements, we scaled everything up:
- Scaling factor: 1.442105263157895
- Scaled Height: 137cm
- Scaled Weight: ??? 24? 35kg?
- Scaled Bust: 58
- Scaled Waist: 49
- Scaled Hips: 56
I punch the Height and BWH into the body visualizer... and immediately get treated with nothing but a massage chasting me for using an unhealthy BMI.
That means my numbers are too small... and so are probably not correct.
Well, we just try out fallback from when we did Amy. Blaze is 15, so our 6.5 factor should, in theory, work even better.
It didn't... Behold:
- Height: 683 - 82cm
- Bust: 188 - 188 / 683 X 82 = X 3.14 ~= 22.57 X 3.14 ~= 70.87…. That's bigger than Rouge!!!!! No blinking chance!
Well... We backtracked, and grabbed one of the pictures of her from Sonic 06 (pulled from the wiki). And measure it out:
- Height - 679 - 95cm
- Bust - 93 / 679 X 95 ~= 13.01 X 3.14 ~= 40.86cm
- Under-Bust - 87 / 679 X 95 ~= 12.17 X 3.14 ~= 38.22
- Waist: 79 / 679 X 95 ~= 11.05 X 3.14 ~= 34.71
- Hips: 104 / 679 X 95 ~= 14.55 X 3.14 ~= 45.69
And fail in the exact same way. It's basically the same numbers we just got.
I then scratched my head for quite some time. And finally came up with a plan B (or C, depending upon how you count it).
I would just make a ratio of Waist to Height using one of the samples, and then multiply that by 137 to get the waist we will punch into the Body Visualizer... And do something similar for the other numbers (Bust / Waist, and Hips / Waist):
- Waist to Height Ratio is 0.368. 0.4 is minimum healthy. But, it’s close enough. -- So let’s make the modeler say 50cm.
- Bust should, therefore be : 41 / 35 X 50 ~= 59cm
- Hips - 46 / 35 X 50 ~= 66cm
I saw the numbers got bigger, and then felt my heart drop, when I saw BMI message again.
Considering this was my plan B, I just tried the same approach but factored out her head:
- Waist-to-Height Ratio - 34 / 82 ~= 0.415
- Scaled Waist - 137 * 0.415 ~= 57cm
- Scaled Bust - 41 / 35 X 57 ~= 67cm
- Scaled Hips - 46 / 35 X 57 ~= 75cm
Everything is going good, even the weight... until we lower the hips to 75. Then, it immediately gives up.
Which means her hips are too small. I, then, decided to just raise that number up till we hit the minimum scaled weight of 35kg.
Which yielded a result of:
- Scaled Bust - 67cm
- Scaled Waist - 57cm
- Scaled Hips - 83cm
The Bust and Waist looked good. But, the hips look too wide. Blaze is definitely more of an Hour glass, than a Pear.
And now, I hit the point where I had to get "artsy"... Specifically, we are going to use the, good old, "guess and check" method.
Looking at Blaze, her waist is pretty comparable to Amy Rose (possibly a little smaller, but not that much).
So, I choose to hold that number as is, and play with the other numbers until I get a weight in the 35kg to 42kg range (a scaled version of 24 to 29kg).
And I arrived at a new scaled number:
- Scaled Bust: 76cm
- Scaled Waist: 57cm
- Scaled Hips: 81cm
- Scaled Weight: 37kg
So we Scale that back down:
- Bust: 76 / 137 X 95 ~= 53cm ~= 21”
- Under-Bust: 21 - 1 = 20” ~= 50cm… bumping up to 51 as it was -2 before.
- Waist: 57 / 137 X 95 ~= 40cm
- Hips: 81 / 137 X 95 ~= 56cm
- Weight: 37 / 137 X 95 ~= 25.66kg ~= 26kg.
And we arrive at my final guess for Blaze The Cat's BWH, which would be 53/40/56 and a Bra size of 20A.

My guess for Amy Rose's BWH is 52/37/55 - 18B cup
Posted a year agoSo, my guess for Amy Rose's BWH is 52/37/55 - 18B cup.
This was the hardest to get so far, and a lot of it seemed to do with the screen caps I used for the measurements. But, before I share that tale, let me make a shoutout to the late "icetpdaysseries.fandom.com" wiki, which had measurements of their own for a handful of characters from the Sonic franchise (I think it was only Amy Rose, Marine the Raccoon, and Cream the Rabbit. But, I cannot check now to verify)... Just for completeness, they had Amy at 42/31/43 and 90cm tall. (I have no idea how they arrived at the numbers, although I suspect they found them the same way I did for Rouge. However, I had a trouble with Amy specifically using that method.)
I can hear the reader ask "why didn't you just use their numbers?". And my reason is only: their numbers don't scale up to that 137cm body visualizer, so I wanted to try my hand at calculating those numbers.
As before, we find a number on the internet. In this case, the Sonic Universe wiki has Amy as 90cm and approximately 25kg.
Then, I made some screen caps of Amy in her Swimsuit from Sonic X episode 9 and 16. I chose to use a screen cap from episode 16 of Amy posing next to Cream to take my measurements on. I also grabbed a couple of screen caps of Amy siting in a chair trying to hide a necklace of seashells from Cream, from episode 9.
Now, I tried the same methodology I did on Rouge and Vanilla. I carefully took measurements of Amy's Bust, Under-Bust, and Waist from the first picture -- no problem... And then I found that somewhere near a quarter (or a third) of her hips were covered by her hand. Which meant that I would either need to guess her hips, or find a different screen cap to measure.
This is where the two screen caps from episode 9 came in. Since she was sitting down, you can see the contours of her hips from under her skirt. Obviously, this couldn't be used raw as I didn't have a reference for her height for that screen cap. But, I could make a ratio between her hips and her bust. And from there, I could multiply out to get her measurements for the posing screen cap.
So, I carefully did my math. Smiled big and wide (to be fair, my measurements were close to what icetpdaysseries had ... except about 2 cm smaller on each), blew it up to 137cm to check in the body visualizer... ... ... and found Amy looked positively anemic if I scaled up from 90cm to 137cm.
After much head scratching, I came up with a hypothesis on why it didn't work. My suspicion is that in these early episodes Amy's head is much bigger proportionally to her body than Rouge and Vanilla's were to their bodies. This caused all the numbers to skew small.
So first, I factored out the size of her head by taking heights from her neck down, and reduced the height accordingly. (To be more specific, Amy is 12 years old. So, I used an artists reference for drawing 12 year olds ... well technically 15 year olds... which says that a girl should be around 7.5 heads tall. meaning that from the neck down should be 6.5/7.5 the original size -- or 78 cm).
And, we do the new math:
- Height : 3191pixels - 90cm
- Height from neck : 1987pixels — 90cm / 7.5 X 6.5 = 78cm
- Bust - 422 / 1987 X 78cm ~= 16.57 cm X 3.14 ~= 52.01cm
- Under-Bust - 336 / 1987 X 78cm ~= 13.19cm X 3.14 ~= 41.42cm
- Waist - 300 / 1987 X 78cm ~= 11.78cm X 3.14 ~= 36.98cm
- Hips - 522 / 1987 X 78cm ~= 20.49 X 3.14 ~= 64.34cm
And then we scale:
- Weight: 38kg
- Scaled Bust: 79
- Scaled Waist: 56
- Scaled Hips: 97
And we scale and verify the numbers.
First, we see her weight is kind of high, and, second, her hips are kind of large. I mean, she looks like more of an hour glass to me (which seems to be what icetpdaysseries found as well).
As with Rouge and Vanilla, we will just modify that outlier, until the weight matches the expected value.
Which gives us scaled values of:
- Scaled Bust: 79
- Scaled Waist: 56
- Scaled Hips: 83
I smile, and begin to convert to inches to get that Bra number... only to hit another issue....
the Bust and Under-Bust above would give Amy a Bra of 16D.
I don't mean to downplay Amy's "assets" but, D cup seems a bit large. I would expect no more than C, and probably closer to a B cup. (Obviously, the reader is free to disagree. But, this was my thought process).
So we go back to the picture of Any seated from episode 9, mostly because she is facing Cream and the camera is pointing (mostly) at her side, and that means we should get the most direct measurement of her profile.
And we get some new numbers... Obviously, we cannot use them directly because we don't know her height in that screen cap. But, we can create a ratio of against something we are confident in, and multiply.
Or more briefly, we get these numbers:
- Bust: 296
- Under-Bust: 250.
- Ratio: 0.8446.
We then multiply the ratio by the Bust we will be using, giving us a new set of numbers for her Bust and Under-Bust:
- Bust - 52cm ~= 20”
- Under-Bust - 44cm ~= 17”
OK, according to Bra rules, round band up to nearest even number, and do the different.
So that’s 18 (20-18)=B …. 18B
This, I'll buy.
Which causes us to arrive at our final numbers:
- Bust: 52
- Waist: 37
- Hips: 55
- Bra: 18B

I think Rouge The Bat's BWH is 68/45/68 - 22DD bra
Posted a year agoI think Rouge The Bat's BWH is 68/45/68 - 22DD bra.
This one was harder to measure than Vanilla's, but I think it's fairly close (but more on how I approached that in a minute).
As I've covered before, I don't know how to include images into these journals, so you will probably need to do your own homework, sorry.
Basically, I started with what I can find. Specifically, I picked her height and weight off of the Video Game History wiki (not the from the horse's mouth, but a fairly believable number, considering what Vanilla was). They are 105cm and 36kg respectively.
Once again, we find an image off of the internet. This time, it's one of the promotional images from the anime (If memory servers, it was also on the Sonic Wiki for a long time... it may even still be there, I got to check). Rouge isn't standing perfectly straight, so I found lining up the sizing tool tricky in my favorite image editor (I know it hurts my case, but I still think my answer is close... but I already said I would cover that later).
We then get our measurements:
- Height : 872 pixels (the tip of her head, to where her heal meets the curve in her high heels) = 105cm.
- Bust : 180 pixels / 872 pixels X 105cm ~= 21.67cm X 3.14 ~= 68.06 cm (rounded down to keep the BWH clean) ~= 26.80 inches (rounded up to 27 inches for the bra calculations)
- Under-Bust : 146 pixels / 872 pixels X 105cm ~= 17.58 cm X 3.14 ~= 55.20cm (rounded down to keep the BWH clean) ~= 21.73 inches (rounded up to 22 inches because bra bands must be an even number... Also, our measurements aren't perfect, so 22 is a more believable number than 21 in this case)
- Bra : 22 band. (27 inches - 22 inches) = 5 inches (DD) cup. == 22DD.
- Waist : 119 pixels / 872 pixels X 105cm ~= 14.33cm X 3.14 ~= 44.99cm (rounded up to keep the BWH clean... also, anything ending in .99 is basically the next number) ~= 17.7 inches.
- Hips : 179 pixels / 872 pixels X 105cm ~= 21.55cm X 3.14 ~= 67.68cm (rounded up to keep the BWH clean). ~= 26.64 inches.
Now then, verification. The difference in height between the minimum height on the body visualizer (137 cm) is too far from Rouge's height (105 cm) to use it . So, for verifying this, we will scale her height, weight, and all other measures by 1.304761904761905, and then we can make adjustments in the body visualizer till her weight matches the scaled value of 47kg.
Punching this in, we get the following numbers:
- Scaled Height : 137 cm
- Scaled Weight : 47 kg
- Scaled Bust : 88cm (this is pretty close to the visualizer's initial guess anyway, so we just keep it).
- Scaled Waist : 59 cm (this means she lost weight from what the Visualizer estimated, but Rouge is thinner than the visualizer's model, anyway).
- Scaled Hips : 90 cm (this is the number we find by moving the slider until the weight lands on our scaled value of 47kg).
If we scale the numbers back down, we get the numbers we measured above... not bad...
Likewise, we can then use the generated model to compare with our favorite bat. And, it's pretty close, although the Butt on the model is a bit smaller... But then again, the source image has Rouge bending over a tiny bit, so it's likely correct.
- Bra : 22 band. (27 inches - 22 inches) = 5 inches (DD) cup. == 22DD.
A bit about those Vanilla measurements.
Posted a year agoSo, I was looking back over my previous post about what my guess for Vanilla The Rabbit's measurements were, when I realized I hadn't shared any of my methodology.
So, I'd like to take a moment and just share my math. Obviously, it would help if I knew how to add pictures to this post. But, I am not sure how to do that. So, you will probably need to find the page yourself and measure it to see.
For reference, the image I used as a reference for the measurements, was a scene from Sonic X season 3, where Vanilla stands next to a age regressed Christopher Thorndyke and holds up a hand stitched replica of the shirt he wore when he was a child.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I have the following information gleamed from a random wiki online (so feel free to take them with as little salt as you desire):
- Height : 130cm.
- Weight : 34kg.
Now then, here are my numbers.
- 712 pixels high = 130cm
- Bust (Over-Bust) = 119pixels -- 119pixels / 712pixels X 130cm ~= 21.72cm X 3.14 ~= 68cm ~= 26.77 inches (rounded up to 27 inches for calculating cup size)
- Under-Bust = 109pixels -- 109pixels / 712pixels X 130cm ~= 19.90cm X 3.14 ~= 62.49cm ~= 24.6inches (we will be rounding this down to 24 inches, for consistency, and also brevity of our results)
- Cup = 24 inch band. -- (27 inches - 24 Inches) cup = 3Inches (or C cup) = 24C bra.
- Waist = 86 pixels -- 86 pixels / 712 pixels X 130cm ~= 15.70cm X 3.14 ~= 49.3 cm ~= 19.29 inches (rounded down to 19 inches, for consistency, and also brevity of our results)
- Hips = 169 pixels -- 169 pixels / 712 pixels X 130cm ~= 30.86cm X 3.14 ~= 97.5 cm ~= 38.4 inches (rounded down to 38 inches, for consistency, and also brevity of our results)
Now then, I mentioned the body visualizer. Here is where it comes in. You see: the number for the hips seems unusually large.
So, we attempt to ballpark it to something more reasonable by using the smallest height the body visualizer will let us use (in this case 137cm), and the recorded weight of 34kg.
We then enter in the numbers we are fine with (bust of 68cm, and waist of 49cm), and we see what waist the analyzer estimates. In this case, it gives us 83 cm (or about 33 inches).
But, we don't want to take it at face value, so we look at the image on the visualizer and try to eyeball if it's close to the original image (at least to my eyes).

Vanilla the Rabbit - 68/49/83 24C
Posted 2 years agoSo, I believe Vanilla the Rabbit has a BWH of: 68/49/83 - Bra 24C.
Finding her number is a bit easier, as you can find some fairly good images from the wikis, and the anime.
There was still a little finagling. But, it helps that her height and weight can be found on the internet (one of the wiki's has it at 130cm and 34kg). Which we can find some numbers that are close to the image proportions, and fit within that benchmarked height and weight.
It's fair to note that the body imager on the web wouldn't allow us to go down below 137cm height, but I believe using numbers as if she was 130cm will yield similar enough weights.

Sabrina Conrad's BWH is around 92/43/113 - 32D
Posted 2 years agoSo, I went and bought all 4 volumes for Sabrina Online from Amazon. And, I adored it!
Well... I got about 10 years in, when I had one of those manic moments. And, I found myself asking: what are the BWH (Bust, Waist, and Hip) measurements for these characters?
... It's a dumb question, I know.
Well... Google utterly failed to provide an answer. So I told myself: I'll just calculate them. "It shouldn't be hard," I told myself.
So, I got about 2 characters in. And found: It's a lot harder than it feels like it should be.
So to tell the tale:
Things started out promising enough. I found some character reference sheets on the web, made by Mr. Schwartz himself.
Take 1:
So, I looked up the height of Sabrina (it's listed in the first volume as 5'5" -- or about 165cm for you sciency types).
got out an image editor, and took some measurements (obviously, since we're taking the numbers from the front, we will treat all sides of the character as circular ... even though humans are more ovular in shape)
And got some measurements:
height: ~424px
bust: 59px(23cm)x3.14=72cm/ 28inches
underbust: 46px(18cm)x3.14=56cm/ 22inches
Waist: 38px(15cm)x3.14=46cm/ 18inches
hips: 93px(36cm)x3.14=113cm/ 44inches
Bra Size: 26C
At this point, I'm feeling pretty confident in my work. But then...
I put it in a Body Visualizer only to get an error telling me that the shape wasn't healthy (a good sign it wasn't a reasonable number, either).
... shoot...
Take 2:
Maybe if we tweak the numbers just a bit:
90?(35cm)x3.14=110cm/ 43inches?
Well... it gives me a shape.. But, the hips look odd, and the rest of the figure is way too scrawny.
... ugh...
I scratched my head for a while, and then came to the conclusion that one of the following things must be going wrong (or maybe all of them).
1) Sabrina has one foot roughly in front of the other. She likes to show off her curves, it seems... This means that one hip will appear bigger than the other.
2) Sabrina is a cartoon character. Because of the volume of work necessary to draw your average cartoon, simplification and stream lining in the designs are basically a necessity... as such, the model is "not to scale", if you will.
3) I'm measuring all the wrong points (doubtful, I got some articles on line about how to do this... but it cannot be ruled out.)
Well... Let's try re-measuring with some of the above in mind...
Take 3:
OK, I think Sabrina's right leg is the one stepping forward... I'll take the distance to her left hip, and multiply by two... Also, I'll try to be VERY careful as I measure the pixel values...
And we enter our new numbers into the visualizer:
Height 442px (165cm)
Inseam 175px(65cm)
B 60px(22cm)x3.14=70cm
U 47px(18cm)x3.14=55cm
W 37px(14cm)x3.14=43cm
H 88px(33cm)x3.14=103cm
... She still looks scrawny, and the visualizer is making her hips look rather oddly square...
... arg...
Take 4:
Time to use trial and error, and pray we are in the ballpark.
But first, we need to try to get a ballpark...
I'm fairly confident her hips should be somewhere between 100 and 110 centimeters (So, I'll hold that number). And, I'm also confident her Bust should be about 4 inches more than her underbust (about a D cup... although not all manufacturers are consistent about this).
"But what should her underbust and waist be?" I asked myself.
Looking up Waist-Height ratio, I see that underweight would be anything below a 0.4 ratio. Since Sabrina does look a bit petit. I think her waist should be somewhere in the ballpark of 0.35 to 0.4 (58cm - 66cm).
As I scale down her waist to the 0.35 ratio, I see the visualizer guess a Bust of 82cm... that looks -- close -- I think I can use that for the underbust, and I can experiment within the range above to find a waist number that looks close (to my eyes).
... ummm... I don't know if I trust this methodology....
... It looks...
... believable...
So my guess would be:
Sabrina : 91/57/110 - 32D
.... But wait, there is a 3D model up here...
Too bad I can't figure out how to actually use it....
Still, I can use it to check my answer.
... nope...
Take 5:
Let's go back to our first numbers, and guess and check...
OK. I think this is pretty close...
Final answer:
