Oh yes, it's coming, and it's chopped full of awesomness. The beta version just released on steam and it is downloadable for a discount of the full retail price if you get it now. I have noticed there is lots of features diabled in the beta but I kinda expected it. BUT it's still amazing and I can't wait till the full version comes.

Life takes a new direction
Posted 11 years agoSoooooo, I know its been a really long time since I've had any activity on here, but I AM still alive, lol.
As a lot of you know, I had been working for bestbuy geek squad for the past three years. When I first started working there I was pretty happy about it and enjoyed it. But as the years went by the days got longer and more monotonous, and the managers became more and more assholes. So I decided that it was time to move forward and relieve myself of such hell...and I did so without looking back.
Anywho.... I sent my resume in to a local school for a technology specialist position and to my surprise they called me in for an interview just days later. I went in and nervously answered their questions hoping that I didn't screw anything up, then they said they would call me by Friday after they had interviewed the others to let me know whether or not I got the job. So I went back home and anxiously waited for the call. Of course I had to keep working bestbuy until I got that call...so yea...it sucked.
well, they finally called me back and they offered me the job. I was at bestbuy when they told me this and I screamed to the top of my lungs, "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"
So Long story short, I got a new job...Scratch that...CAREER!! This job is for the Maize school district as the new Tech Specialist in the Maize South Middle School. I have my own office and I have the whole school to my self, so I don't have to worry about working with anyone up my ass all the time. I do have co-workers, but they all have their own school to worry about. And if I ever need any help I have a plethora of admins at the main building on hand.
The other bonuses are definitely the pay raise, the steady 7-3:30 Monday to Friday. and of course the fact it's less than 10 minutes from the house.
I would have to say that I fricken love it. I have been given the awesome chance I needed to go forward with my life, and I couldn't be happier.

CPFM 2014 Lake Afton
Posted 11 years agoWe are done taking pre-registrations.... So if you are thinking about coming, PLEASE PLEASE let me know this now so that I can get your stuff printed and I have a better idea of what amount of food to buy. It really helps us out so that we don't have to make extra trips into town. I will have change for those who will pay when you get there.
Don't forget to bring extra cash to pay for your tent fees at the bait shop.
Last Minute Check lists:
Camping Gear- Tent, Sleeping bag, Pillow, bug spray, cooler, lawn chair, flashlight, small Grill
Swimming Gear - Swim suit, water shoes <--A MUST , towel, sunblock, earplugs (if you need them)
Extra Food - (We do feed you all, but it's always nice to bring extra) Chips, snacks, hotdogs, brauts, hamburgers, pop, water (we can never have too much water), etc. (Plus town is only about 10 minutes away and it's got a grocery store and lots of restaurants. Not to mention the "Red Barn" BBQ restaurant that is right next to the lake.)
Optional items - Bikes, fursuits, Games, RC Planes or cars, hookah, booze (no glass), Fishing Equipment, Small Boats or kayak, etc.
Optional things that would help us out - Portable Gazebo canopy thingy for extra shade, extra foldable tables, extra chairs, Water.
Oh, And did I mention WATER WATER WATER...It's always a good Idea to bring a case of water to drink. We will have some to offer, but it helps us considerably if you bring some too please.

We are going to stop taking pre-registrations on Tuesday evening (the 20th). So if you are thinking about coming, PLEASE REGISTER A.S.A.P. If you are definite you are coming but need to pay at the registration table PLEASE let me know this now so that I can get your stuff printed and I have a better idea of what amount of food to buy. It really helps us out so that we don't have to make extra trips into town.

Lake Afton Campout 2014

**Please keep in mind that registration does not include the nightly camping fee which is $7 a night, that goes directly to the Lake Afton Park. We tend to share tents with friends to significantly reduce the cost for each other.**

The winner will receive a free Sponsor level registration to CPFC 2013 and the winner’s design will be used for this year’s con t-shirt. All the appropriate entries, including the winner’s entry will be featured in the con book and on the CPFC website.

Central Plains Fur Meet 2013
Posted 13 years agoIt’s almost time for our 4th annual Central Plains Fur Meet! ....well....sorta. It's still 4 months away, but anywho...
Our camping fur meet this year will be held on May 16th to the 19th. Which is basically the same weekend we had it last year, And we are also having it at Lake Afton Kansas at the same pavilion, but this time it will be bigger and better!
Also,
zahzu is our guest of honor this year! WOOOT!!

Who is invited: anyone. RSVP is a must, please do so even if you already know where our home is.
What time to arrive: PLEASE don’t come before 6 pm, the exchange will be around 8-ish.
Where it well be held: Merk ‘n Dale’s house.
What to bring: A $10 to $15 wrapped, unmarked gift if you want to participate in the gift exchange.
We will have some snacks, but if you want to help out, you may bring some snacks or pop to share. Responsible drinking only (BYOB), no underage drinking, and no crashing unless it is prearranged for out-of-towners. RSVP by contacting me or Dale via phone or FA note. We look forward to seeing you there! ^_^

Posted 13 years agoSo it's finally here, the day me and dale have been planning for almost a year. And so far its off to a rocky start. We arrived at the airport at 5am to find out that our flight plans are changed due to the original flight out of Wichita not making it in on time. So instead of making it to the resort in Florida at roughly noon, we now have to waste 2 hours waiting in Chicago to catch a different flight. The only plus side of this is that they checked in our bags for free.
But any who, we are super excited and can't wait till we get to that nice 70 degree weather. Woot!!

I know it seems a bit early for us to be opening registration. But we feel that giving everyone plenty of time to get registered will help out with our numbers and planning things around our attendance properly.
We added the Limited Lifetime Membership option to the registration just until we fill those ten slots, then we are removing it leaving the regular choices for the remainder of pre-reg.
So if your interested and want to come out next year come register with us.

birthday gathering
Posted 13 years agoFriday is muh birfday. Aaaaaand I guess we decided to just have a small gathering here at the house since we couldn't find any pavilion to rent this late. So if ya wants to come just send me a text or a reply on here. We were thinking about gathering at the keeper of the plains for a small fursuit outing at about 3 just for fun , and then making our way back to the house for the actual party at 5ish.

Posted 13 years agoSOOoooooooooo....I took a bunch of my 360 games to bestbuy to trade them in since I don't play them anymore, (Which they are giving a 100% credit on top of what they offer you right now...so in other words they will double what they offer you if you take it on a store gift card. and they are still doing this till the 30th if anyone wants to take advantage of this offer)
But anywho, I took about 17 games in and got 200 bucks credit. And since I work there I get a pretty awesome discount. So with that being said, I took advantage of this and bought myself the intuos 5 Drawing tablet. And I would have to say, IT"S FRICKEN AWESOME!! I LOVES IT!!!
ok, that is all I wanted to say. WOOT!!! ^_^

Wichita Furry Picnic
Posted 13 years ago -drago- and skippotter wants to invite everybody to a cookout at Pawnee Prairie Park on Saturday, June 23. No special occasion, just furries at the park, With frisbees. I think 1:00pm should work, but if that won't work out for you just let them know.
they will provide stuff like hotdogs and hamburgers, but if you want to bring
chips, potato salad, cookies, etc that would be much appreciated.
