Posted 13 years agoSOOOooooooo....I stayed up late tonight finishing up the badge format and the conbook layout. Thank you for the art Wolfaya, I think they are going to look great. And thank you to keefur for taking the time to print out books this year, I can't wait to see them in physical form.
Now that all that hooplah is out of the way I can rest easy knowing that there are just that many LESS things to deal with....and only a week to go. WOOT!!

Pre-registration has been extended since they have a little more time before we start printing badges. It will now close at the end of Friday, April 20th, 2012. So if you have a friend you'd like to get registered, you have one final chance!
If you have not yet paid, please get your payment in as soon as possible. Payments have to reach us by April 24th to be sure of being counted.
If you know you won't be able to make it, please go to the website and cancel your registration. This helps them get an accurate count of those who will be attending. If you have already paid and cannot attend, then your payment will be added to your account as a credit for future years.

CPFM Update
Posted 13 years agoEverything is going according to plan and then some. ^_^
We are pleased to say that we already made enough from pre-registered furs to cover the cost of the pavillion and a good portion of the food. Of course there will be a sizable amount that goes down for the deposit, but I think that we will all be careful enough to get that back, so I'm not worried.
We are also trying something new this year by having a small raffle drawing. We currently have a few items that would make nice gifts, and would like to give a little back to those who have helped make this campout so successful. I will be giving everyone who pre-registers a free ticket. Anyone who registers at the event can purchase the tickets for $1 a piece, plus anyone can purchase more if they want too.
I would like to give Special thanks to those who put extra donations down towards helping the event along, we couldn't do it without your help.
**And a SUPER SUPER SPECIAL THANKS to FlawlessDog for his very size-able contribution toward the event. That kind of generosity is rare and we are more than greatful to have you as a friend. **

Posted 13 years agoSo we have run into a bit of a pickle. and I'm talkin the nasty "bread and butter" pickles, BLECK!!
We were wanting to rent this certain pavilion that we have had our eyes on for a while, but we were limited on funds till we got back from Furry Fiesta to know what we have to play with. SOOOooooo, when I get back and check the availability for the damn thing it is taken for the whole month of what we wanted to use it.

Not sure if this video was ment to be portrayed in a negative fashion to public, or if it is just a joke being put out there sarcastically saying, "OH LOOK, We're furries and SEX is what we are all about." But even if it is a joke, I can see many people getting the wrong idea from this.
Personally I think the video was made for the fun of it then used out of context by someone else on youtube.

The Lion King in 3D Update
Posted 14 years agoSo I finally got a hold of the updated showing times for this weekend.
It will be showing at 2:10pm and 4:45pm on Saturday the 17th. Since a lot of you who wanted to go said that you work till 2 I think that it would only be fair to go to the 4:45pm showing.
Tickets are going to be $10 per person for the 3D showing, and we all should at least try and be there by 4pm at the latest so we can all get our tickets and meetup with eachother.
Now for the super uber sad news...*sighs*....turns out they decided to not show it in the IMAX theatre...*sniffles* ...and it sucks. But they will be showing it in the stadium theatre which is the 2nd largest at this warren, so it will still be good.
Anyone who wants to go just give us a call or a shout out on here and let me know that we should be looking for ya.
Also, me and dale are still going to have a small gathering at our house after the movie for anyone who wants to come. We were thinking that if everyone had a few bucks to pitch in we will go down to papa murphey's to get some pizza for us all too.

Lion King in 3D
Posted 14 years agoMany of you who know me personally know that Lion King is by far my favorite movie of all time. And the upcoming release of it into the iMAX 3D theatre has got me all wound up and excited. And I am lucky enough to live only 5 miles away from the brand new Warren iMAX theatre here in Wichita. And according to wikipedia it is said to be the largest digital iMAX screen in the world. The only screen bigger in the world is the LG iMAX in Sydney Australia, but it's not digital. So needless to say I am pretty hyped.
It will only be in theatres for 2 weeks upon it's release starting on the 16th of this month. And lucky me has both the 16th and the 17th off. SOOOooooooooo...... What I am getting at here is that me and dale want to see if there is any furs that want to go to see it with us. We were thinking that we could all go to a slightly earlier in the day showing so that afterwards we could all head back to the house and hang out and such.
if everyone wants to bring a little somethin to munch on or what not, or maybe we could order pizza if we all pitched in. Just throwing some ideas out there.
We do not have an exact date or time set, so if your interested leave a message here letting us know what day would be best for you and we will try and get this thing set up.

CPFM Summary
Posted 14 years agoWell, I would have to say that this was a very successful weekend. I myself had a blast and it looked as if everyone else did too. I am fairly amazed at what we can pull off in such a short notice, and make it work out so well. I want to thank all of those who came out to the event. You all did such a great job of cleaning up after yourselves that we didn't really have to do much cleaning of the area after we all got packed up and ready to go. In fact we left the area cleaner than what it was when we had arrived there, and that's exactly the goal we want to achieve.
I also want to give special thanks all that helped out with set up / tear down, cooking / food preperation. I couldn't have done it without you guys.
I think that the meals were planned out very well, and I hope that you all enjoyed what we had supplied for you this weekend. And on that note, thank you to everyone who brought stuff to help contribute to the meals, every little bit helps. I know for the most part the meals were pretty basic, (hamburgers & hotdogs for the friday dinner, biscuits and gravy for breakfast n such), but we wanted to show you all how much we appreciate you all being there by supplying that great saturday evening feast. Which turned out amazing if you ask me. I was a little worried that we wouldn't have enough brisket or meat for everyone, but by the end we actually had leftovers. Everyone seemed to be very content after the meal and I felt relieved that it turned out so great.
We did have plans for hooking up the projector and having a movie night, but it seemed like everyone was having more fun just interacting with eachother so we just decided not to worry about it. So I hope it didn't disappoint anyone that we didn't put it up.
As for fursuiting this weekend, it was a little too warm for me. But we did have a few show up with theirs. I think there was about five of them that were crazy enough to try and endure the heat. lol.
So to sum it all up I think everything went exactly to how we planned it, and I can only hope it goes so smooth next year.
Which brings a few things to mind. I would like to get some feedback on whether you like this lake area that we chose, and should we have it again next year here at lake afton? And if so would you like it better if we had an actual enclosed shelter that we can rent?
If we start early enough on planning for next year we can make the meetup even better. So if you want to be part of helping us out with ideas or plans for next year, please go to our forum and stay in touch.

I would like for anyone attending to give me some music recomendations so that I can get that on my system before heading out there on Thursday evening.
I would also like to ask everyone to please try and bring your own cup or "Drinking Vessel" if you will. I will have some disposable ones there, but I figured this would help to reduce the trash consumption.
And I think I have enough paper plates and plastic cutlery, but if anyone would volunteer to bring a little extra with them just in case, it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, we have got a little issue with getting a ride for
luthien_nightwolf. If there is anyone that lives near her or can give her a ride, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Plus I will pay for your registration, and if you share a tent with her your tent fee for the weekend will be taken care of. She lives in the tulsa area, and if you might be able to help please contact her.

My Graduation Gathering
Posted 14 years agoWOOT!!! I'm done with school!! I ish a smart tiger now. ^_^
As some of you know my Graduation ceremony is on the 12th, and once it is over I would like to have a small party to celebrate. And so Me and Dale are going to be hosting the gathering here at our house that evening and those who want are all welcome to come. There will be board games, movies, snacks, and furs (possibly even fursuiters). Drinking is going to be kept to a minimum, (in other words drink responsibly if your of age, and you must have a designated driver cause there will not be any crashing on the floor. Sorry. [Except for any out of state furs that we might have come up, we don't expect you to have to leave that late just to drive back to oklahoma. Just let us know if your coming.])
Me and dale would greatly appreciate anyone bringing extra snacks and board games to help out. If you are interested in coming that evening please give us a heads up so that we might have some sort of head count in mind.

Fursuit Commissions
Posted 15 years agoHere's the deal. I am going to try this out and see what happens.

I will begin taking commissions for suits and anyone who is interested please contact me. I will only open 3 slots at a time, but anyone beyond those three will be put on a list. After I finish a commission and open another slot I will contact you and ask if you are still up for it to fill that slot. If and when that happens I will take your information and quote you a price based on the details we go over.
For me to begin work on your suit I will require a 25% Down Payment for materials. If you pull out of the commission after this point you will NOT get the 25% back as I have spent that money on materials and I would then be at a loss. If for any reason I back out of the commission myself then I will gladly refund you that money since it was my own decision that closed the deal.
After the suit is finished I will expect the remainder of the payment and shipping costs in full before sending it out.
Reference sheets are a WONDERFUL thing and I would be greatful if you supplied me with one along wih your measurments.

This will be my second year to enjoy it's massive furry goodness and fuzziness galore. ^_^

memorial weekend gathering

For those who don't know, me and dale are going to be reserving a spot at Cheney Lake just west of wichita. The event will be taking place on the 29th to the 30th, ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3891023 ), we will be out there really early on friday so come whenever you please.
Please keep in mind that there is a few small fees, $4.20 per vehicle per day and $8.50 for the night to pitch a tent.
We are going to try and start eating around 3-ish on the 29th, (hamburgers and hotdogs and what not), and for the most part me and dale were going to try and supply those for who all wants to come. But if anyone is willing to help us out by bringing a little extra, (chips, pop, paper plates, snacks, extra hotdogs, buns, etc.) we would greatly appreciate it. Just contact me via note or text me if you have my phone number and let me know what you would be willing to bring so that I may tell other furs what is still needed.
Bring frisbees and other such outdoor activities to help entertain us if you will.

suit commissions
Posted 15 years agoI am just curious, IF I am able to start makeing suits, or at least partial suits and what not, would there be an interest from the furry community?
I just need to know where I stand with this in case my job and I part ways any time soon.

The biggest problem I am having right now is that my work doesn't want to give me the time I need to do my homework and study time for my tests, and it's causeing my grades to drop a bit. when I asked for a change of availability to allow myself this time, they pretty much said no. So when it all comes down to it, I am affraid they are going to relieve me of my job soon cause I WILL be taking the time I need off for something that is more important to me, my career.
I just need to know where I stand with this in case my job and I part ways any time soon.
