deleting my work on this account and moving to pengi was a giant mistake and I still dont really know why people move accounts. I dont know about now but artists moving was a common thing. I dont know why they moved accounts and closed old ones but I mostly did it because I had tried several times to 'reinvent' myself, gain a new artistic mascot of sorts and essentially "start over". But as a friend said, that was a mistake and I agree with him. So I closed off pengi and returned to this account and unless this entire website is going to get shut down, theres no reason to leave.

I guess some people move just to see how many people would follow them but that seems stupid to me. But I guess I shouldnt be surprised after what I've seen in the community over the eons.

I guess if you smack a tablet hard enough times it'll work again....sort of. pressure sensitivity is still shit. had nothing but problems with it anyways a few months after I bought it. cant ink or shade with it properly.

Intend to buy an Intuos Pro Medium but (roughly) $300 is out of my reach for now.

My shitty tablet is finally dead and its replacement is roughly $300.

some people had unwatched me due to some "fetish" artwork I did (like Ono). I will put a label on the pic title to say what it is so those who dont care for it can skim past it.

Herms are about as far as I go with fetish art types, even then its incredibly tame. I dont really like or care for anything outrageous or...gross.

I'll be uploading some very old artwork for the hell of it. I censored out my name in them because well back then everyone used their real name and not an alias like everyone should be doing nowadays (unless you are a known professional artist).

Actually I've been without internet for more than a month but wow, it sucks.

More or less saying I'm still around, barely. can only get internet by leeching off of hotel wi-fi and some cafe hotspots. I'm still working on my new mascot. Once she and a bunch of other images are fully finished (inked and colored, hopefully well enough) I can move to my new account and stay there. I wont be deleting any art from here. but finished versions I'm sure will be on the new one. I dont really intend to move again after I do. Maybe it will help get me wanting to draw more. I've been sort of on and off drawing and it does hurt skill-wise.

If I dont draw for a while I tend to do really bad.

I've never really made a new page. only time I ever did was to split my human art and anthro art. Moved to FA in the end because it allowed both.

The reason I want to move is just to get rid of the metaltron name. Not really a good enough reason to move and inconvenience people to add a new one.

I've tried to make a better name for myself/art so people would know who did it. I was known as ZeroDL (The Lost Artists, TeamArtail), Moriyasu (DA, SA), and metaltron (FA). They arent really all that great.

I'm making a wallpaper for myself of Sayaka. though I was just wondering what resolutions you guys have cause I might make multiple ones for a few people.

I ask because I dont have a widescreen and I'm sure most people by now have one.

most of my friends had it easy and could leave the state to get work. only me and a friend are stuck here so he comes over once in a while and we play games and watch old anime all weekend. My current excuse for no art :P that and I had to reformat my system and it still lacks wacom drivers and I'm lethargic when it comes to re-setup OC brushes.

I have been working on the mech-to-androids but they somewhat look like megaman characters. as I retained their gauntlets and lower leg sections from the mechs themselves. Especially for the Mazinger and Gunbuster versions. Getter Robo doesnt really need them.

I also decided to give them more casual names. so I'm using their respective series' lead female roles' names.
Mazinger = Sayaka
Getter Robo = Michiru
Gunbuster = Noriko (given this characters personality she prefers gunbuster)

Havent drawn anything down or modified the getter pic from earlier. just like to work on characters in my head, really dont want them to look stupid.

I am also working on an Amy Rose wallpaper. just for the hell of it but it doesnt look quite as good. I'm using another style and not the original monoeye type. unfortunately many sonic fanartists use this alternate style I'm using for it but eh.

thought about actually finalizing that character I made. she still has no name but her design is based off of Getter Robo. she uses the same moves as the mech and takes various moves from Go Nagai's other mechs (most notably mazinger z, great mazing and steel jeeg).

I thought of making a sister android/rival to her if I can come up with something nice. this one will be based off of a mech called the Gunbuster. only worry is that she wont have nearly as many moves as Getterdroid. though she's awfully powerful.

also had thought of making more androids using Kirchewasser's frame but dunno. only thing i could think of is possibly a more organic android that mimics one the Eva units. Or an over the top, brash natured Lagaan-type.

would be more interesting to me than the android set I was going to make for my story (not like I draw Kirchewasser all the time).

I'm trying to redesign a default hairstyle for one of my flagship characters, Krugar. her current one is annoying and dumb looking.

can barely play TF2 on this laptop and the pre-E4 grind on pokemon gold is really boring and the tablet seems to hate this system as well.

Found the actual problem to the system. the PSU was going bad. No doubt from the horribly large amounts of surges around here. worst I've ever seen in a single year.

PSU is getting RMA'd but I'm stuck with a laptop (which I dont want to leave on 24/7).

....and my last PC, which is slow and only useful for web browsing (which I am using now). It was dead too but it was just a dead BIOS battery. Bothered to just re-install Debian 5 on it since there's not much to do with it.

no stalker or chaos rising for me. going to be horribly bored until the PSU comes in. which wont be for a week or two.

I sure did for 3 years. Me and a friend were talking about what we used before getting tablets.

Before I had gotten my first tablet (and was able to use it), I used to scan sketches and inked images then color them on the PC with PS 5.0... With a Logitec trackball mouse.

Eventually I got a standard mouse but that was until like 2003.

Looking back on all that I honestly wonder how I managed to do all that. And had the patience :T

I'm still trying to readd people after my purge a long time ago, so if I readd you that's probably why. Though I lost the list. It seems I was watching a lot of dead accounts anyways. so I guess one good thing came out of that.

I guess my fears were unfounded, makes me a bit happier.

I'll try to start drawing stuff again, I am getting rusty. Though I am out of ideas for pics. Usually when I'm out of ideas I draw bust images :P

I guess I can take some ideas from pixiv. there were some methods and poses that I saw that I think I can try.

Still unsure about inking. They say that the better your handwriting, the better you ink. I have horrible handwriting and my other attempts at inking show how wobbly the linework was. Also doesnt help that I draw pretty big :P Also the pen tool is the last thing I want to use. it's a bit too "clean", if you know what I mean.

As for coloring, on other images I've "cheated" and chose colors from other images I saved because I liked them. A friend tried to help me understand color theory but it's almost like calculus to me. I think I understand some of what she told me. But I still cant pick colors on my own and they are exactly what I want...you know?

Often wonder what people think of me. I never used to but after that outburst a few months ago it bugs me now. I keep thinking that most people now see me as another "dramafag" even though I've done well enough to avoid drama for a good decade or so.

You probably notice that I dont get many comments. Honestly? I dont know why. But probably I assume it's because I dont say much or comment much on others (I used to apologize for it in a journal nearly every month). I have a hard time commenting on art, I'm really not much of a critic and I feel that my own advice isn't all that great.

(also please dont think this is some pity journal, at least I'm above that but I haven't really said much of whats on my mind)

Most comments though are of people egging me on to "finish" my art. Honestly my sketches are the finished product. I'm really bad at inking and if you have seen what I do for "coloring" then you know I cant really do that very well either.
I really dont want them to stay as sketches. I have turned down a lot of people who wanted to draw my characters because I never had a color ref for them. any character refs with even flat colors look so ugly.
I've tried for a few years to try and "darken" my sketches so they look or gave the illusion they were inked but they were still too transparent.

I'm not really having too much fun. I'm actually drawing better than I have ever done but it's only "half" of the picture, and I suck at the other half. also I lost a person who was patient enough to egg me on to do as good as I am now over the years. I feel a bit lost without his encouragement.

Sorry for the long post, if you read this far then thank you for hearing me out. And sorry if I had given you the impression I was a bad guy. A lot of people I know arent having a really great time as well and I guess not even I can keep in high spirits.

As for my art I really dont know what to do or where to go from here. All I can do is sketch, it would be nice to see others draw my characters for once and not turn people away or down. But sketching alone is considered boring to most people and I can understand why.
