I've been struggling with this for a couple weeks now. I thought clearing my schedule up at school would allow me to have more time to buckle down and get ahead for once. But - unfortunately I've just become lazy. Senioritis I guess is what everyone calls it? Whatever it is it's got me. I'm unmotivated to work on my school work because it's a mixture between hard and super easy. There is no real medium ground. If I could get over this I know I would be able to get ahead and not worry about deadlines and actually prepare for things properly and not lose the ball on stuff. But until then.. I wonder if anyone has some suggestions for overcoming this? I can't change my classes. They are the way they are. But any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm not one to enjoy being lazy and downright unmotivated. I like being productive.

Hi guys, just a quick update on everything.

To my commissioners, I have your money and it is not going to be spent or anything of the sort. I have another commission done but I haven't released it yet. I will continue to work on them. I got really busy right after getting these commissions. Tomorrow, I start my senior year at my high school as well. This weekend depending on if I go down to Medford to see family or not, I will work on commissions. I hope this wait is doable!

So yeah, I'm starting school again. Erk. Though I'm naturally nervous about the first week I'm also kind of indifferent. A lot of personal stuff has been happening to make me just not care for people that don't have my best interest at heart. So this year will be interesting, and I'm going to try to enjoy it as much as I can and make new friends. Other than that, nothing much is going on. I took my senior pictures today with my close friend and all went well there, haha.

I am so happy right now words can't even describe.

My aunt is amazing. I went up to Seattle to visit her properly for the first time ever, sadly her husband passed away and she really wanted the family company. Upon arriving to her house, she shows me the tablet and tells me it's mine for $400 LESS THAN IT'S ORIGINAL PRICE. PLUS. I have two other $80ish dollar pens with it; the air brush pen and the marker pen. I just... ohgod. I am so thankful.

SO. A lot more art will be coming along. And I have to decide what to do with my Bamboo Fun tablet I've had since I was 14 years old. ;; Ohmygod just...gkjfkjhfk This thing is amazing.

Well, not really. I'm hardly active on here anyway but I figured I'll just make it official.

The internet in general is far too distracting for me to the point where my grades in school have suffered. Because I have no self control, for the remainder of my Junior year in high school I am taking the internet away from myself so I can finish the year strong. I will be back around the middle of June, I'm actually out of school June 13th to be exact and that is not very far away. SO, haha. So, this will be fairly short because I am exhausted and it's already about 11:30pm so my brain isn't functioning to its fullest. But I feel like I need to just talk after a long time of silence and half ass check ins.

First off, to my point commissioners and the person I have an art trade with.
I can not express how sorry I am for not having your pieces done sooner. As a teenager, I should be able to get out an actual minimal amount of commissions compared to artists that live off of commissions. I should be able to take some time out of my day and work on them. But I will be very honest in this, I have had neither the time due to school or the desire to touch my tablet and work. Occasionally, I do. And I just doodle or work on something that I shouldn't but most of the time I avoid my tablet. For some reason I have put up this mental block and my anxiety towards my work has worsened. I also to a certain extent feel unappreciated on the internet, at school I have a couple people that watch me do my art work and critique, praise, and love or hate it. Here I do get some praise, (which I am very grateful for, really, who doesn't love praise?) but hardly anyone ever really looks at my stuff and that is 95% my fault because I don't have anything recent or something I feel worthy of showing you. There is not a piece that I have submitted on here yet that I put all my effort and full potential into. And for that, I feel horrid. Because that is what an artist does, they put a part of themselves into their work. That is true with me again to an extent but it's not.. fully there. I just feel this..piece missing in the work I do. I know my full potential is not there and it irks me so much. I will get the things I owe done, I promise that. But I have come to the conclusion that until I feel comfortable enough to have an actual pace with the production of my art and not this bull crap I'm showing now I will not be taking any commissions unless someone really wants one. I am utterly shocked someone hasn't grilled my ass for being so late on my work. And again, I am deeply sorry for it being so late and eternally grateful for my commissioner's patience with me.

In regards to everything else.
I am a junior in high school, I just turned 17 years old in November. This has been one of the oddest school years so far and I know the reasons why, it's just hard to deal with them sometimes. I am in that awkward stage in my teenage life where all my friends are separating and doing their own thing, as well as I, and I'm also not very happy with my friends anymore. We're all growing apart, sometimes back together but so far it's just apart and I don't know really who to turn to because they just make me so mad with all their drama that I want nothing of and...yeah. jfk I am changing and it is a very hard change, and I know that everyone goes through this in their life and it doesn't just happen once, it happens through out ones whole life. But that doesn't make it any easier on me. I am an excruciatingly sensitive person, I kid you not. So for these..changes that I'm going through to be happening my feelings about anything and everything are just... good God I don't even know how to explain, haha. GUYS. MY FEELZ GUYS, HOW DO I FEELZ? ksjdhgjkd eue
Butuh-It's effecting everything I do and impacting my art especially. More then anything I want to do well in anything I come across and as I'm thinking about taking art as a profession that is one of the hugest things I want to do well in. So I guess what I'm trying to say is it's just a very awkward is the word I could use I guess... kdfjdk.. time for me. And I'm getting through it. But I also have to be practical and the most practical thing for me to do right now is focus on graduating high school with the highest GPA I can manage because to tell the truth, I screwed around my freshmen and sophomore year and it hurt me a little with my GPA.
So I'm finally getting back on my feet and really trying to just set myself up for a good future. I worry about my future so much.. more then I should. kjfdk Gaah. And why I'm even submitting this to the world for people I don't even know to read is very idiotic but I recognize it as a small cry for understanding..? help..? I really don't know. I guess advice would be great.. Especially with studying methods.. yeah I've always hated studying and when I need to I really don't know how to handle and/or go about studying so if you have any study techniques that seem to work pretty well that'd be.. cool if you shared that.. Among other things?.. Gah I just don't know.

Hey guys!

I'm sorry for the absence again but I have good news! I just finished school and have about 3 weeks off now so I will be a lot more productive for you guys. School has taken over my life and I only have been able to focus on my art projects for school, essays and homework. You guys already know the basics. haha So I haven't been able to open SAI or Photoshop, I only recall a few times so yeah. But now that I have some free time I can sit back and finally relax. ^^

I will be getting back on the owed artwork and such and I thank you all so much for being so patient.
