And to place BLFC within a week of Califur? Ugh. That just stinks royally, totally and completely. <:P *sigh* So...we're now worried most of our business won't be at Califur,. More added stress we do NOT need. Hence the call for pre-convention commissions. >.>! But...only three days to go so....*shrug* Here is hoping.

Califur is in a week and a half. So, in an effort to make ends meet and not have the disaster that was LAST Califur, if you are going to the convention, and would like to purchase a commission from Nynaeve, we are accepting a half-dozen before the convention, which will be done before or AT the con itself! Turns out I've got a rather nasty tear in my deltoid muscle of the right shoulder. Thought it was tendon or cartilage or bone issues. Nope. Just a torn muscle. Worse then a strain, better then a sprain, and certainly better then anything else. I just need to take it easy for a week or two, and ibuprofen as needed. Joy and rapture it's actually GOOD NEWS. >.>!

So Califur is a month earlier then I thought. May 19th through 21st...Ugh. Nothing is ready. Still have time, but...just ugh. And BLFC moved to two weeks after Califur. Well at least Nynaeve and I won't be there. Didn't get a table in time. Or make travel plans in time, or even have enough money to even get there. >.> But still...so many plans, so little actually done courtesy of a fucked up year already. And NO support for our artistic endeavors from either side of us. So much fun. So much irritation, depression, angst, emotion. Wheeee. I;mma go crawl under a rock. -.- And we still need to get some Patreon banners n' stuff going. I haven't a clue how to set one up. We're in dire financial straights, and need the help for cost of living, as well as possible expansion of the computer into animation. And to renew the scanning and digital arises we want to do over here...but...Nynaeve and I aren't writers. Artists, yes. Writers? Nope. And no clue how to even set the damned page UP. Banners, blurb art....or anything. We're gonna work on a basic couple of patreon images we can splash in here to remind people, and maybe a banner or two, but still...I have no clue what to do, and the only thing Nynaeve knows about Patreon is that it has a website and sucks a tiny bit of cash out of his wallet once in a blue moon. So....HALP! Just want a basic one to start with so that we can set things up and later expand. We have tier rewards, and goals, pretty much figured out, but again....no clue how to set this all up. >.< And we need the funds ASAP.

Managed to save and scrimp and struggle to get enough to hopefully pay for a large-bed scanner...and our bathroom faucet, over 20 years old, craps out, and needs replacing. And thanks to family, guess who is the only one with available cash to replace/repair it? <:P *sigh* No scanner. Yet. And May is when FC con reg opens for dealers...on or abouts. And I wanted to try for that, and get new prints and webcomic stuff started so I can get Patreon going. ARGH! *goes bald tearing hair out.*

He always had a smile. Always had a kind word. He was one of the artists who inspired Nynaeve to even get into the furry art scene. And now, he's passed away. Gene Catlow. Passed away way too young. I've only met him once, and yet even then, I could see why Nynaeve always enjoyed his company at cons. I'm deeply saddened for his loss, and Nynaeve's really broken up over it. I think the fandom is a little less, for the loss of one of the true Old Guard.

Just a fair warning. It's one of THOSE posts. A nice gripe.
Birthday came and went. Had dinner n' a movie with Nynaeve. Mom was unable to do anything. Other family remain as always a bunch of douchecanoe a-holes of epic scale. I'm kinda grumpy right now, as well. Gotta wake up super early on a work day to get to the eye doctor for an appointment. Good news is, I can get some new glasses and check these ground-down scratched and achy lenses. They lasted two years to the month. Then all the coatings failed within a couple weeks, scratches accumulated, and now I get headaches from my own corrective lenses. OYE. Least I am drawing a bit more. :) So there's always a plus, somewhere out there.

# Anyone know where a good 11"x17" scanner useable on Macs and with Manga Art Studio can be found? I got funds enough for it. And I'd prefer a dedicated scanner, not a printer/scanner combo. Those things give me headaches. >.>!

EDIT: I only have at most, between $100 and $200 to spend on said scanner, so...yeah. >.<!

Flash version 24. Newest version of Safari. Macintosh OS. And TITS, one of my favorite guilty pleasures, is NOT WORKING. I am a backer, and I haven't been able to play the darn thing since 6.93. getting a new browser is OUT OF THE QUESTION. Right now, Macintosh OS isn't even recognizing the .swf format as something useable on this machine. Anyone else out there know how to fix this issue? I don't want to cancel my backing and ask for a refund for several months of donations. >.<!

Flash is still fully supported on Safari. Which I think is just a better browser. I've had issues with Chrome all over my phone and tablet, and every new version seems to break something. With Safari, it's only been the last two new versions that have had any issues with flash, and both times, I was able to fix it simply, using Safari Preferences to re-enable the flash for particular websites. This is a problem, it seems, with the .swf files....*sigh* I miss the days he had a nice little folder with four formats...the HTML always worked beautifully. Then he integrated with Patreaon, and only the .swf files are now out n' about. I know it's simpler, but still, it sucks royally.

No art, no gaming, no nothing.
Mom fell today. Broke one ankle, sprained the other. Very minor break. No need for a cast, even, but she'll be in orthopedic boots for a couple weeks. And for at least one weekend, bedrest. Which means of course, I get to take good care of her. No spoiling, as SOMEONE mentioned. Just good solid wellness. It's gonna take all my time and effort, and leave me way too knackered fro anything else. Story of my life. I tell her to take it easy, she doesn't, then injures herself. No one ever listens to the quiet girl in the corner. UGH. My head hurts.

Less said about today, the better. All the bullshit that happened overwhelemed the few good shining things in my life that make this day special. -.- If I see one more peep, one more card, flower bouquet or anything, I'm gonna go cry. Apollo from the original, and IMHO the best, BattleStar Gallactica passed away on the 7th. Only 71. Now I am going to go off and be sad for a bit. That's my childhood disappearing. Rushing home from grade school to watch it at 3pm Weekday afternoons...then Wonder Woman, Knight Rider...and then the 5pm cartoons....*sigh&* Good memories tho'. So that's what Im gonna focus on.

Yeah caught a nasty cold from someone. And the weird thing is, NOTHING I took had any effect for the first few days. Nose just kept on gushing, congestion, itchy cough. Typical cold symptoms. But NOTHING is having much of an effect in dealing with the symptoms. Nyquik, theraflu, Benadryl, Alka-seltzer cold and flu, robutussin, cherratussin.....I'm a damned pharmacy over here.

Turns out, he's really quite the intolerant, disrespectful, rude, bigoted jag-off I've always believed him to be. He's turned this house so upside down that the pup is refusing biscuits, and whenever he's in the room? She runs into one of our rooms or wherever the rest of us are, for protection, And a dog's reaction to a person is seriously telling.

*SIGH* Can't get anything done with him here, and mom is too...I dunno. She's terrified of letting him go, or kicking him out, or of even having him here. She's trapped. And will not listen to reason. EVERYONE is telling her to get rid of him when he's healthy. But she won 't. *sigh* And I'm too broke to even consider moving out, and I've too much here in state to really leave and risk starting over from scratch. With nothing. Cause...that's what I'd have. Literally nothing.

SO....Stuck right now. Nynaeve and I are trying to make plans, at the very least, try to keep things sane for ourselves, but we've also go to work on Black Sunday plans. If the shit hits the fan, we've got to have some way to survive. Oye vey.

As the subject says, I'm late on a couple gifts I want to get out to certain people for Christmas, but I will at LEAST have my Christmas Sketch up, so that's something. This year has just been utter SHIT. My poor little 2' fake tree is up, and shining, an bringing just a little joy into my life. It's what I need. No real gifts this year, for me, or given. I just don't have any funds for it, and that makes me sad. I LIKE giving and sharing. And this year I can't, and it's painful. I just lost the majority of my holiday spirit. and what's left, I am sharing with family and friends, here and IRL. So....for what it's worth, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, everyone. Nynaeve and I now are the proud owners of Clip Art Studio Pro. Only one small hitch...it's a physical copy. And newer iMacs do NOT have disk drives so....help? >.>! We need a good USB external DVD/ROM disk drive capable of reading and writing DVD's, prolly in the 32x speed range...
Anyone have ideas? I've contacted one or two people I trust implicitly about computers, but, any and all advice is needed. And help too. Money is ridiculously tight, but we desperately need an art program to get with the coloring and comic-ing!

Pressure regulator blew out today. We lost half the lawn. City isn't going to fix it without a lengthy lawsuit. We also had to pay the plumber to fix it. Caused by apartments being built locally, asking for more water pressure in ancient water mains to cope. It's horrid. I am not happy. Christmas is pretty much trashed. Thanksgiving...Not looking forward to it. Not fun. Not at all.

We just let a mysogynistic, rasicst, molesting, putrescent piece of hunman detritus into the White House. We are the laughing stock of most of the Earth.

I need a new scanner on this machine, and a Time Machine backup drive, and a decent art program STILL. Money is way to tight, and I just don't know what I can do. <:( It's quite a blow, losing an old friend of 18 years like that. But I smile, cause that machine saw some legendary service. Thank you ol' Grand Mac Daddy. You will be missed.

Been getting a lot of fake alerts to upgrade my Flash Player. Fell for one, and it downloaded some weird Mac space maintenance programs, and weird file checking apps. From ADOBE. And from the App Store. Fair warning, it's a load of crap. I'm contacting apple tech support tomorrow to see what the hell is causing that in particular, if I had a piece of malware or code stuck on this machine making those pop up, or if it's just random crap on the net. So be careful. hell, even the first link when you google adobe flash was a malware program dump site...*shakes her head* The years of mac immunity to this crap seem over.

So far these two are two of these annoying pop-ups and self-downloaders I've had to deal with. I could use some help as to how to block this stuff on my machine. As well, I keep getting re-directed to various app sites whenever I am using Furaffinity. Including those two.

and I just got redirected to Alibaba of all things, when I created and updated this journal not ten seconds ago.

It gets worse. I can't get anything done on Furaffinity because these stupid redirection pages fuck up my browser and lag FA's connection to me to shit and back. And even clicking them OFF doesn't help. I have to reload and start back at square one. FA better get their shit together and get rid of this annoying code.

Been Sick. Lost a close personal friend in the gaming community. Horribly depressed. SLOWLY working myself out of this funk. It's very very hard, but I'm getting there. Sill need an art program, still need a scanner...still need to complete these commissions but it's difficult. Every time I put a pen to paper, I either draw crap, or get monumentally distracted. *sigh*

My canoscan scanner that Strredwolf got for me a few years back, the one my brother decided to "borrow"? gave up the ghost in a rather spectacular fashion. The scanning bar stalled out, I could hear gears stripping, then the light bar itself...kinda exploded. It was stinky, messy, and rather hilariously entertaining...but it means that my best scanner is toast. Par for the course right now. >.> But it's okay. Still have the older dinosaur, so I can emergency scan if needed. But...well, with new art programs come new scanners, I guess. Need a nice large-bed document scanner for the line work that I color in programs. And still need that new program. ^^; Loads of work to do! Time to get on it. And yeah...feeling better today. Life...is pretty okay.
