Would anyone here be interested in ponying up, oh, say, about $50 a month for 12 months? In order to, by the one-year-mark of their first donation, receive a fully framed oil painting of the subject matter of their choice? I'm considering that for the final patreon tier on my page...

Sorry I haven't posted much new artwork the past few months. I've been dealing with some serious depression amongst all the rest of the crap.
And all of it's family related, to boot. I need to grab Nynaeve and just...leave. But we have nothing. Not even the transportation, really. *sigh*
What we need right now is a new art program, and a decent sized document scanner. And then to set up the Patreon page. And then...get the work that needs doing DONE. Clear the backlog. Argh. >.<! Just not getting any decent free time. Unless you count 2am to 4am in the mornings free time. And I have to get up at 8am to get to work. So...yeah. Stuff. And junk. And me wishing murder was legal sometimes. Ah well. Tomorrow I get to go to work, then do the shopping for a bunch of ingrates, and then, if I am lucky, collapse for an hour or two for dinner. Then maybe I can draw. Through the noise, yelling, screaming, worrying about the doggy who got another ear infection due to idiocy of mom and nephew....another $300 down the shitter...

In other news, still working on dealing with that crap with the City of Los Angeles and the California BoE. It's all traceable too a stupid piece of paper they mailed me, I mailed back once, Nynaeve mailed back TWICE...and it apparently never arrived. SO...He has to go in with a copy and shove it down their throats. FUN!

And more news! I think we'll be accepting commissions. Got art program to pay for, and eventual scanners, drawing tablets and other fun art supplies to plan for. AND a Patreon page still in the planning. Got rewards figured out, now figuring out how the total tiers (Like, if I get $100 in donations a month, $200, etc.) will work out. Like, what I will do in addition to rewards.

Other then that...I'm exhausted. Gonna go nap.

Selling crap for what I hope is enough money for a new scanner, and to cover the costs for a new art program at local gaming convention. Including a freshly stripped Warhammer FB Bloodthirster. Talk about heavy metal! As well, I got to get ready for Califur. Hopefully that goes well. Since we haven't gotten any commissions at all this year, there's a huge worry and stress. It's not fun. We really need the sales. Wish we had been able to get table space at BLFC...hell, even the lack of FC sales is really hurting. Ugh. Not good times. Not at all.

I am trying to get Paint Tool Sai for my Mac, running OS X 10.11. I can't find anything proper to download, and I dunno if anything else will work properly. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Please? I want to get back to digitally coloring, even if it IS with a mouse. And not a tablet. Gotta learn the program before I save up for the fancy. Anyhow, help? Please? Anyone?

Couldn't connect to the internet today...said the wire wasn't connected or the device on the other end wasn't working. Since that would be the router currently allowing me to type this message, I think it's the wire. Damned cheapass little plastic connectors for Ethernet cables. The dog got tangled and tugged a bit...and I think that was enough to damage the wire at the computer. I'm going to get a new wire Sunday, and hopefully, that'll fix the problem. If it doesn't, it's off to the Mac Store to get my computer checked. Thank gawd for Mac Care plans. And failing that....it MIGHT be the router, although it's still fairly new. Under warrantee I thnk since I believe we got it last YEAR. Gawd this sucks. Wish I had a computer expert living in house. >.<!!!! Anyhow, I have email and FA access, so I can still be contacted. Just...a lot slower.

Hand's been aching a bit. Did something to it the past couple of weeks and I haven't really had the ability to draw. That's changing now though. Ice and heat and ibuprofen are making the fingers fine again. And inspiration is striking too. But...there's frustration.

See, Nynaeve and I want to start a Patreon for our webcomic. We're supposed to have, but since I am the one working on it, I am just...rather overwhelmed. Where do I start with the levels? How do I keep it at a level I can handle, with my 40-hour+ work weeks and not get behind on everything? Nynaeve is definitely the biggest help there, and has several ideas...we have to shrink the levels offered in the Patreon. But we're still going' to be offering a lot. So...these are the following ideas we had...

$1-$2 = Access to the Patreon gallery of sketches, previews, layouts for the webcomic, etc.
$5 = Exclusive Sketch done for Patreon donors once a month. Exclusive of any other work.
$10 = 1 copy of the Twilight Realms Calendar, plus sketches of individual months sent as they are finished.
$20 = Personal Sketch commission of your choice. (Dunno if it'll be black and white, or full color.)
$50 = All of the above, plus one commission of your choice, done as a small painting, in cel vinyl and gouache. (9x12 or 11x17?)
$100 = All of the above, but either 2 small paintings, or one large (up to 18x24)

Of course, we're considering limiting the numbers of higher tier awards...but what should be the limit? See, if we get a LOT of income through this, more time can be spent on creating content...so...more award levels can open up, This is where I need advice, so...HELP?

Also, should add that with the new computer, I will be able to offer digital commissions as well...should I stick to those? Or offer hand-drawn and colored? I don't have a tablet yet. Ugh. So much to think about. ><! It's 4:30am on a Saturday. I need sleep.

Mind you as well, this is in ADDITION to commissioned work we also do, posted in earlier journals....

And for the first time in 18 years, thanks to the new way of doing things over at FC, Nynaeve and I will not have a convention presence. Which...pissed me off no end. The days of customer service, of loyalty to long-time paying consumers, is at an end, to be treated that poorly. And with no reasons given. And this new method of doing things...all under the guise of being impartial and non-biased? *shakes head* You can say whatever you want, but it's simply not true. Regardless, going to have our presence at Califur. And seeing how any other convention goes. I think it's gonna be a very very lean convention season.

UPDATE: Interesting news about BLFC though...made it onto the waiting list. Went ahead and applied for Dealer's Den space there. So...wish us luck? Califur is still definitive however. :)

Well, I need one. Was looking at Sai, but apparently there's some glitches with the new Macintosh OS? And I do NOT want to rent a program. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth no matter how awesome the program is. SO...Help? Advice? I need it all.

Plus, I need a Mac OS X El Capitan compatible large-bed USB Scanner? Something in the 11"x 17" range? 8.5"x14" would also work.

And...I think that' about it? For now at least.

(UPDATE) Got Tapestries and Furrymuck working on the new machine at last. :) Turns out the latest Atlantis was the one I used to have...and all I needed to do was click and drag my backup! >.> Yay! No stress! And then looked up the domains and ports. Easy as pie. :)

While out replacing a few sketch markers, I discovered a bad thing. Comic, due to manufacturing issues with their supply of nibs, doesn't expect to be able to resupply ANYONE in America...until 2017. Yep. An entire YEAR without being able to get stocked up. SO, if you have a supplier, stock up NOW. You might not be able to, later this year. Already, several stores in my area have MAYBE 25% of the stock they should? It's horrible. <:P I love COPIC.
