I was wondering, if anyone was interested in adoptables if I were to create some? I was thinking of maybe doing mostly dragons, cuz a lot of you seem to like my dragons :P But of course I could do other creatures, I might look into critters/ species from my world. I have different types of creatures, a majority are ones I created back in high school days that are going to be appearing in it.

Also I have started doing the sketching for the comic, so it is on it's way toward becoming the comic finally! We have the pilot and first chapter written. I am going to be releasing the pilot first. The pilot will just be a very brief introduction to a couple of the characters who will be in it. I was going to put in the first couple pages of chapter one down for the printed copies I am going to have made in October but the pilot itself already goes to 20 pages, after we edited it down, we havn't edited the first chapter yet but it is long so far lol. I am super excited about getting this started finally! I mean my friend and I had been planning it out off and on over the past 5-6 years. It is based on a world I created in High school for a D&D game I ran ( over 10 years ago now)<.< SO it is heavily based on my D&D game, tho it takes place a few years after the game took place.

I am so excited, I will be getting a table at Hal-Con this year, so freaking excited! I will be aiming to have the pilot of my comic ready by then for sale :) Some new art in store, more prints to make. I am hoping to get a better looking display and various size prints plus a couple posters hopefully :) I am also going to go digital again for the comic. I am going to sketch everything out in pencil and then colour and ink it on the computer. ^_^

Well, just letting you folks know that I am sorry I have not been very active on FA lately, I have been going through a phase where a lot of the sex art is just boring to me right now and that is almost all anyone is posting now. I also have not been drawing anthros for a while, I've been more in the mood to draw my comic which does not involve furries. I also went from working every single day for two months at 2 different jobs to nothing at all so I have to look for work again which is a tiring and frustrating process considering I have had the worse luck getting good jobs... Also not many people have been interested in artwork of mine, I know the last few things have been MLP stuff but I haven't drawn that since the first weekend in December, but i never scanned or posted the last two I did.

I am not leaving FA I just am not sure when I will post anything again. I won't be removing my gallery or anything either. I do pop on FA to clear journal and submission posts but lately the art work just has barely interested me and I only ever full view a few now just because so much is the same kind of sexual art. I am not against that kind of art, I am just bored of seeing nothing but.

Anywho I may be posting stuff later on, links to the comic if anyone is interested and maybe a couple samples of it once I get it going :) I think I will be able to put more time into making it now that I barely have any hours between two jobs -_-

So I just got hired at an art and craft store here in the city. I get discounts on the art supplies YAY! Cheaper copics for me! Also I might have a chance to get some art teaching experience here, which will be super awesome! I always wanted to be an art teacher and if I can get in on it here even better, they even give me a place to go to get the say so for teaching :D But I dunno for sure, I will have to pester them about it <.< The main job is still just min-wage retail but at least it is something I am passionate about :D

I went in for the interview and got along well with the one interviewing me, and after the interview I said that I was just going to look around, and then a couple minutes later she found me in the marker section <.< and said "You can get a discount on those, so why don't we get you set up! I decided to hire you!" and I was like YAY! and she was all happy too XD so looking forward to this. It is mainly for Christmas but I could stay on afterwards <.<. I hope so cuz then I could get some teaching experience in ^_^

The other thing that happened is that I got a call yesterday afternoon by a fellow who was responding to my Kijiji ad abotu being a freelance artist... He was suspicious from the start especially when he phoned me up later in the evening while I was out and was talking to me and he was high... He claimed to be working as an artist with a s'posedly popular tattoo artist and that he was looking for someone to help with the art design. Y'know, at first it sounded interesting but then when he called me up later that night he was either high or drunk and that is very unprofessional. He would not shut up, kept repeating himself and even asked me a personal question... Anyway I started getting impatient because I was out and he was high and I was on my cell phone. Eventually I arranged a time for him to contact me earlier today and he never called... I also did some research last night on the guy and he was claiming to be someone working for a tattoo artist that just opened up in Halifax, but when I did the research there were two webpages that were identical but with different titles and email addresses, so I decided to contact the one located in Fredcricton, I never hear back from the guy but the other one never called me today so maybe he was just messing and that is fine by me cuz I don't care, I am not going to risk myself or my art for a sketchy possible proposition.

Well I am going back to the movie theater, not overly thrilled about it, but desperate matters call for desperate measures... I like to say that I guess it is better to be unhappy and making money rather than unhappy and not making money...

Also as you can tell I have not been much for posting art lately, I did a few more MLP stained glass style postcards that I will post and I have a Ceres pic that I am trying to colour digitally but OMG I have no patience for digital art anymore >.< I also am finding lately I have been a little bored with FA so yeah, not much going on.

So the past few days I have revisited something I enjoyed when I was a child and I have been watching it. Youtube has full episodes! "Little House on the Prairie". That show is so nice and it helps you forget about all the shit that is going on, even if it is only for 45 minutes. The show is just so heartwarming and some of it is so cute! it's funny when I re-watch these shows I realize how much of an influence it was on me growing up. Some of the things Laura or her father talked about, I hear myself saying to others. XD


Also I have started writing Ceres' past story finally.Tho it is more for my reference and my friend who is helping me with the comic so I don't think I will be posting it here, at least not until the comic is published. It will be in the special edition copy XD

I have not been updating anything for a while because I have slipped into depression pretty badly again and it's been a rough month for me. I got a job around the end of August that I was so proud of and everyone of my friends and family were so proud and then I lost it only after being there for 4 weeks. I have been avoiding many of my friends and I have not been able to draw because it upset me so much. For the first week of loosing the job I was crying almost everyday, I HATE crying. I had no motivation to do anything, the only thing that got me out of bed in the morning were my two little birds (I have decided to call them Houdini and Dusty). Those birds needed my attention every morning so I made myself get up.
I have been getting help with some specialists that help me find where I want to take my life and they all seem to like my art so they are going to try to help me with that. I am going to be looking into self employment and they are going to set me up to see if I can do it.
I am tired of being the pee-on, I want to be my own boss, I am sick of being let down by people and employers because I learn differently then your average person, I have anxiety and most jobs I have worked were no good for my anxiety. I am not saying I am giving up completely with working under people but until I can get a steady income from whatever I end up doing, I will have to deal with the shit in the workplace a little bit longer.
If you are wondering what it is that caused me to loose this job is that the lady who hired me on, even tho I told her I had no training in doing design for print, but I could learn. So what she always said was "Google it" and that really ticked me off. I learn better when someone sits with me and shows me how to do things; reading things and watching tutorials do not work for me... I would have still had the job if she sat down with me on the slowest days and showed me how to set things up for print, and I was not great with the math that was all, but instead she would run off or sit and play Plants Vs Zombies at her desk... So now I am starting to get mad and feeling less sad.


I am still feeling pretty depressed but not nearly as bad as I was earlier this month. Watching copious amounts of Family Feud, Little House on the Prairie, and going to the people who are helping me out has definantly helped to lift me out of this gloomy mood, but until I have a good job settled I don't think I will be truly happy. I want a good job, a good mate and I want a little one of my own. :(

So I made 5 new furry friends tonight :) They are adorable! There has been a family of raccoons around the area and tonight I saw them in our back yard. It is a good sized mother and she has 4 babies and one of the 4 is the runt of the litter and has a limp. So anyway because I love animals and wanted to get a good look at them, I threw an old peach and chopped up an old hot dog for them and about 5 minutes later two of the young ones came out and gobbled up the hot dog pieces. Then later the other 3 came out looking for some so I gave them two more hot dogs and they happily gobbled those up. So then they hung around for a while and momma was watching me expectantly to give her something. But I was worried because the babies were trying to eat an old piece of steel wool I left out there after I cleaned out the bird cage with it, so it had like bird poo and some remains of food that was left in it from cleaning the sink and dishes. Well anyway I was sitting at my computer and I could hear a scratching sound and I looked outside and there was a couple of the young raccoons pawing at the screen door. When I opened the inside door they only shied a little bit but they were watching me and a couple of the little ones were sniffing at me from behind the screen door. Oh they are so cute! And I keep hearing them returning XD
I think they got in a bit of a tussle with the neighbor's dog, hopefully the dog was ok, it is only a little Pomeranian I think and the momma is a bit bigger then the little dog o.o

Ok so I have been trying to get my green bird used to me and eating out of my hand and perching on me and so on. The Green one has landed on my head a total of 5 times, has taken millet out from my fingers more often now. Today he bit my hand and finger a few times and it was a little painful but then just before they went to sleep we had a little battle of wills and every time he tried to bite my finger I would move it away and twirl it out of his reach and then finally he gave up and let me touch his beak twice so I would say that was progress. So I am thinking if we have this little battle of wills once every day eventually he will let me touch his feathers and maybe eventually it will lead to him finally perching on my hand. The white one (who has feathers that are kind of like Ceres' feathers (makes me happy) is still waaaaay too scared of me so I figure I will just work with the green guy everyday and not worry about the white one until the green guy is comfortable around me. Then I will work with her. The white ones feathers look a dull gray but when light hits them they shine a pale green and blue :)

Also week one of my new job went well, I finally figured out what buses I need to take that get me to work on time.

Yay good news! I got the job and I start Monday, so excited! Finally I will have a real job where I can put my creative skills to use and get paid good money for it! Starting me off a dollar less then I was told just for the first 3 months, then I am going to get the offer I was told after the first 3 months are up. I will be making enough money that I can start to pay off my loan (eventually) and I can get new glasses, I can get that Macbook Pro I have been wanting the last few years and still have stuff left over for rent, food and other important things eeheehee!

Also I got a pair of lovebirds from a lady last month. I have had them for a few weeks now, they have been really nervous around me, but they have been getting better with me. They are still scared of my hands but they aren't fleeing from me in absolute terror anymore. One is 100% female and she is a less common white masked lovebird, pretty thing she is, she has a light grey brown dusting of colour on her face and wings and her tail feathers and belly are a pale blue that when the light hits her feathers, they shimmer with a pale green iridescence(she is more nervous than the green one). The green one is a little younger and might be a he so until he lays an egg, I am calling it a him, he's a peachface (or rosy-face) lovebird who is super loud but he also is the one who is semi hand tamed. Tho they are like one entity so whenever I am progressing with getting the green one used to me, as soon as the white one freaks out all progress gets lost. I managed to get him to take some millet from my fingers a few times but he still freaks out especially if the white one is close by. So today I let the green one out in the basement and the white one stayed in the cage so I separated them and took the white one to another room. The green one actually calmed down a bit after a few minutes and landed on my head twice not my hand but is is progress of a sort. We even bobbed our heads at each other XD So I think from now on until the green one is tame I am going to separate them for about half an hour each day to try to tame the green one. I need a good name for the green one lol I am going to call the white one Dusty I think she seems to look at my when I call her that XD

I have been looking for a job and can't find one, and the place I had an interview at seemed like an awesome place to work pays well and it looks like it will be a fun job, but it has been over a week since I had the interview... I know she said she would get back to me this week but I am starting to loose my little spark of hope that I would get a good job that pays well and I like... Maybe I am just destined to be stuck at the worse jobs for me possible -_-

I have been unemployed for two months now and now my funds that were left over from my last job are drying up... I am getting restless and a little depressed because I have not had any luck getting work at places I want to be so nothing else is appealing to me... I barely leave the place because I am too poor, I have 9 bus tickets and less than $60 to my name... I would really like to take on a handful of quick commissions again I miss drawing other people's characters, I get bored after a while of drawing only mine. I mean I could do concept sketches of the other characters in my comic, I really need to practice males @.@

Also I am finding the thing I liked best about FA just doesn't happen anymore...

Also we currently have a mini zoo here, watching a pair of rats for one of our friends, we have a pair of love birds here that are scared of everything, and the two cats. It's really funny that we have cats, rats and birds living together. I am happy my cat has no interest in hurting the little ones but we have to be cautious about my roomate's cat so we never leave him alone with them.

Anyone interested in me doing any quick $10 commissions again? Kinda like the ones I did last time with the steampunk theme or whatever theme you want? I will open 10 spots.

I am waiting to hear back from a lady who said she would bring me two lovebirds that she was selling real cheap and the job market is really bad right now, none of the places I applied to have got back to me yet... I also did stain glass style postcards this weekend which sold well. But I didn't make enough but I still have some cards left.

I am so excited, t'morrow my friend and her father and myself are going out to get a freaking awesome skull, well I claimed the skull, my friend wants the jaw and her father wants the vertebrae, not saying what it is yet but I am so excited about getting it. Let's say is really smelly and kind of a very uncommon thing to come across, so I am excited! I will post pictures t'morrow! Also even tho I washed my hands like 2 or 3 times I still have a slight decay smell lingering on my hands blech...

Down in Yarmouth for a few days visiting my parents. I got them a Kobo and did not realize until I gave it to them that we need a micro SD chip for it so it will run -_- so mom and I are heading to town t'morrow anyway so we are going to see what we can find, Yarmouth is a small town and there is not much here, so I hope I can find what I need here.

I never do these things but I decided to give it a go just to see what happenes :P Her art is fantastic and she doesn';t have many pageviews yet she is a really good artist! I am puzzled!

Leaving Calgary t'morrow night, making my way back to NS. I have a drawing I did of Res that I like, but I won't be posting it til I get to Ontario or back to NS, it still needs to be coloured! In the meantime, I am leaving you with a drawing I did for fun for the friend who has been letting us stay with heer while we are here in Calgary, so as a thank you I drew her El Zorro, in fox form! As the title states, there is much flashing of lightning and rumbling of thunder and it sounds amazing! Also Ana and I are heading back to NS in less then two weeks.
I have not told my current boss that I am leaving soon because the main boss who owns the company is a real asshole and I need to work the full two weeks to make sure I have enough money to get me back. You see this boss of mine is like a loose cannon and he can blow up at any given second and then the next moment he would be fine and friendly. You see I havn't told him yet because knowing his personality, he might just say "Oh you don't want to work anymore? Well guess you don't have to come in anymore!" and then he would fire me and not pay me. I am still in probation period. but I feel kinda bad leaving my supervisor like person in the dirt because this is s'posedly their busiest time :/ and I like pretty much everyone there more or less except the one who owns the place.

Ok so I realized it's been almost 2 months since I last updated my journal here. I have been working in a print company for almost two months, the pay is fair and I get many hours, sometimes too many @.@ but at least it beats working retail or fast food! I also have been sharing a livingroom with my friend and let's just say that I REALLY miss having my own bed and room and my cat.

We went to Banff yesterday and it was gorgeous, and I actually got a very red sunburn it doesn't hurt or anything at least. I got it on my cheeks, nose and shoulders. Lots of beautiful scenery there. I also made a visit into an awesome store there called Rocks & Gems Canada and they had AMAZING rocks and minerals for sale there so I got me a piece of labradorite with a pink and purple sheen as well as the usual orange and blue and green, so it is very pretty. I also got this interesting shiny metal with rainbowy colours and funky shae to it and it is called Bismuth, the kind I have was grown in a labratory so it is not as cool as it could be, but it is still pretty and funky and I also got myself a pretty piece of ammolite, I have been wanting a piece of that for like 7 years now, I finally got one! This one is red and shiny and has some orange, yellow and a little bit of green and purple in it, it is very pretty. Anyway that is all really I have to say for now.

OK so I have been in Calgary for a couple days now, have not applied for work yet but I need to update my resume blargh... Been pretty busy here hanging out with some friends. Today I was hanging out with those same people and I helped them prep some stuff for a party they are having tonight. I made some nice veggie and fruit trays for them. I am not at the party tho cuz:
A) I don't know their friend and it is her bachlorette party so it would be a little awkward.
B) It is an overnight party in an area that is like half an hour, 45 minutes away.
C) I hate parties in the first place.
It is nice to have some quiet alone time right now *purrs* I am going to mess around with my markers and try to get used to colouring BG's with marker, I am thinking I am going to colour the comic with marker and watercolour pencil so I want to get better with markers!

I am out in Sault Ste Mari Ontario, hanging out in a motel with my friend and we got the first draft typed up for the sample comic we are going to pass out as a free copy for Hal-con. It is very short but gives you an idea of a couple of the characters :)

Also for some reason since I have left Halifax I have had a very scratchy throat, it does not hurt so much as feel agitated, but it has not progressed into anything or digressed... Will it ever go away? Like WTF? But otherwise all is well besides my lower back not enjoying the long hours of sitting in a car.
