By this time t'morrow I will either be in New Brunswick or someplace in Quebec! So Excited! Also Ana and I are going to have a lot of her and I time in which a majority will be discussion on the comic, I brought my comic paper to start on the drawings ^.^ Ana also installed a program on my computer that we can write scripts or comic scripts. My goal is to get the first issue done by the end oif the year and if I am lucky enough have either a free sample for Hal-con and/ or the first issue out! We have been working on and off on this for 3 years I figure it is about time to get it done!

We are going to Ontario for maybe a week and staying with Ana's mom then we will be making our way across Canada to Alberta. Going to go to Banff on my birthday hopefully! We will be remaining in Calgary til May or June, then either heading to BC for a little bit or heading back to NS. We are aiming to return in June.

One more day of work then I am finished!!! Then on Saturday we're hitting the road!

Til I am done my job and hitting the road for the spring YAAAY!!!! So now if only the buses would come back and my hip stop hurting then it would be even better! I have been sketching up maps and concept designs for the comic recently so that is where my art-ness is going these days but at least it is coming back YAY!

I am so full of "sighs" these days, and not the happy contented kind of sighs -_-

Ok nothing too exciting happening here, I am quitting my job in March heading out to Alberta for about a month or so, more if I end up getting some work there or in Ontario. I bought a specific sketchbook and a little journal for the designs and ideas for the comic. I already started doing stuff in them but I won't be posting anything from those for a while. One thing I have a hard time doing is perspective and designing buildings and machinery which both of these things exist in this world so many of the sketches so far are some really bad sketches of the main enemies' HQ, I am determined to figure out how to get this place designed to my liking, I only been trying to figure out it's design for like 6 years -_- Argh I hate trying to design buildings. I have an idea of how I want this place to look, it is just a matter of me transferring that onto paper. OMG I have to figure out how to design an entire city AAHHH! Well not just one city, there are a few, plus many little villages and towns scattered throughout the world. How will I be able to do it?? I have a hard enough time doing a single building, let alone, a bunch... @.@ Ah well, it will come. I also need to trim out and define the political systems and the laws, I mean I have ideas, I just need to sit down and ACTUALLY think about them and how they work, it is kinda fun to do the research. And reading "The Hunger Games" is helping me out some too, I think I may take those books with me on my trip to inspire me.

So yes I have been doing my planning sketches and writings for the comic lately so I have not been drawing much worthy of posting here or that I will post online right away. So there you go that is the recent stuff.

So yeah I still have not had any inspiration to draw anything worthy of putting up here. I have been feeling depressed which is no fun. I don't even know why I feel like that, but I just do and I have been playing lots and lots of Skyrim @.@ I love that game, but lately I have been playing it even when I don't feel like playing it, but it is because I have not felt like doing anything else -_- At all....

Also today I went to the grocery store and I sliced the tip of my thumb on a box of clementines -_- and when I brought it to the cash, I had to take them off because I didn't have enough for it -_-
Later my roomates were cleaning and one of them almost set our livingroom on fire. The place still smells like smoke after 4 hours. We have a nice black scorch on the base of our mantle and the outside of the fireplace and the brass screen in front of it. It was just an accident, luckily it did not spread beyond the fireplace and nothing got damaged beyond repair. It has been an interesting day.

So yes this is the last day of 2011, here is hoping that it will be a much better year for me. So far it will be starting off with me having a cold, which is no fun. But I am hoping to get back into the art groove I think it may be easier now that I am going to be finally leaving that godforsaken job I have been stuck in for the last 3 years.
To top it all off, Thursday evening a lady committed suicide in the main washroom at work, that was rather sad, I was not there when it happened fortunately @.@ but it was one of the teenagers that is usually happy and energetic that found the woman...

On a lighter note:
My plans for the year is to open another bank account to put money aside, an account that does not have monthly fees so that I can put money aside to save up, also I am going to be leaving the movie theater finally come March, I am heading out to Alberta and possibly BC with Ana this spring so I will be done, I know it is not a lot of time to save for but it will be a start. Hopefully I can get a job more what I am into rather than customer service min wage stuff. When we go out there, Ana and I are going to be auditioning for Cirque Du Soliel as singers, if I get a place, awesome|! if not, I tried and it was fun trying ;) Also I am going to try to get used to using Zbrush and hoping that if I can figure it out, then it will help me apply as a concept artist for a gaming company or whatever lol and I also am going to get working on the comic that Ana and I have been holding off the past 3 years we have been discussing it more frequently lately. Also hoping to be able to finish off my two digital commissions @.@ I think once I am freed from the bonds that is the movie theater, then I will be much happier and more inspired :)

So I realized I have not touched FA or DA for three weeks wow! Well been working a lot kinda annoying but at least I am getting money in.
Ana and I have started discussing the plans for revamping our comic that we started building a couple years ago (the one that will have Lyra, and Ceres and Anadyr) I am also back to visit my parents for the weekend.

I have been addicted to Skyrim the past week heh, my horse fucking rocks!! Tho it gets annoying when I try to leave it somewhere away from the enemies then it STILL runs off to attack and get itself killed *siighs* so I have to reload the game whenever it dies cuz I am trying to keep the same horse around as long as I possibly can. I know I can buy another one, but this is my first and it is awesome so I want to keep it as long as I can lol.

The only Christmas shopping I have done so far (as of this date) is some stuff for my mom and dad.
Anyway I am still alive.

I am going to get some design work done for the comic sooon prolly just rough sketches for now of the creatures and the buildings. I am feeling inspired to want to try to get some of those sketches done this weekend. I REALLY suck at perspective tho so I have to do my best and I think Skyrim is helping me with the inspiration. Maybe for inspiration I just needed to play a damn good game XD

Hey everyone. I thought I would just give you all a little update.
The past two weeks my best friend  cellel just got back from her summer long adventures and brought one of her awesome friends along. I was introduced to "Dr. Who" I have grown to like the series. I watched Dr.Who off and on over my life span but not obsessively so I finally know what Tardis and Daleks are XD. I have been working long hours @.@ so I have been pretty tired and when I get home I don;t feel like being on the computer so I have not tuned this on in a week.

Last weekend was when I attended Hal-Con and I met some neat people including the young adult fantasy author Kelly Armstrong, she was really nice and I gave her one of my prints and she gave me an autographed book in return. She really liked the print I gave her, it was the one of Lyra sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest. I sold a fair amount of art, not nearly as much as I did last year, but I did pretty good, all my gel pen post cards sold on the first day, I should have made more then 5 XD. Also I might get a comic opportunity soon with some local folks I also really want to get mine started. I also almost feel like getting back to doing some digital art again, just not sure what to start on. Still having an art block >.<


Also I heard from someone over at Hal-con who has an account here on Fa that FA banned MLP art? I still see it, did he mean the ones that were like the memes where someone just used a program to invent their ponies, something that is not their own art? I have nothing against MLP, I kinda like them but when he told me they banned it, I was liek "Why? They never banned all the other fanart of characters?" So I am a little puzzled by that statement.

So I get to set up the tabel for Hal-con t'morrow, I hope I can get there before too late cuz I work til 5:30 and apparently the place closes at 6 but I think that is only for pre-order registration so hopefully they will keep the place open long enough for the artists/ vendors! So I got a few new prints to sell as well. So I am hoping I will do as well if not better then I did last year. *crosses fingers*

Also it was this week my body chose to succumb to the cold that my roomate has had for the past 2 weeks UGH why did it choose this week to get me sick??

Still haveing a major art block, stil uninspired, still feeling very uncreative. I have been TRYING to do some work and I have been wanting to play with watercolours and try digital art again but I just can't seem to get the heart to do it the past couple years and it is really annoying... But yeah that is my story...

I am still having a terrible lack of creativity, this business has to stop, I have been in a terrible art jamb almost 3 years now! Three freaking years it is really irking me >.< It is because I am still working at that stupid movie theater and I just cannot leave! No one else will hire me... And I also wish I could land an awesome art-related job... I just do not want to work with retail companies anymore, I feel like I am getting too old to work retail... Anyway I hope to get out of this art jamb soon...

So if I can get at least 10 commissions I will have enough! I already paid half of it but my friend can't pay her half of it on time. I also will be practicing in SAI so I will make them digital! Being in the sci-fi comic convention again this year really means a lot to me considering I did so well last year!

Just updating again. I have been kinda bored of furries the past few months, so I have not been coming here frequently like usual. I'm not entirely sick of furries, I just go through these phases where I just get bored of seeing all the same kind of porn everyday lol. I will be returning to it at some point, just need a little break from it. I still am coming here to clear out the copious amounts of porn, I only have been looking at the really good non porn art out there recently and let me tell you, it is very rare to find. But anyway I don't want anyone to get offended at this, it is not a big deal, I went through this phase last year too, just a yearly thing. I am also going to be making a new webpage where I am going to post my really good work and start posting my comic (the Lyra and Anadyr one), and it will be that site temporarily until I get a real webpage. Once I get those sites up and running I will probably be posting less frequently on FA and DA. Once I get that set up I will post a link to it here and on DA.

I also might be apprenticing an artist who teaches people to paint soon which I am kind of excited about, ever since high school I have always wanted to teach kids art. SO I am hoping this will go through. I also need to get new work done to bring to sell at the local sci-fi/fantasy convention for November. Last year when I went I made $700 in a weekend on my work so I am also excited about that. I hope to do as well if not better this year so I am trying my darndest to try to get out of this bloody art block and get on with my comic and my art! So yes I am going to be kinda busy the next couple of months with more professional art stuff lol. I have that painting I started of Sorin last year to finish for the convention as well, I just have to finish all the black BG then he will be done and I will post the finished piece up here.

So yes I am at my parents' this weekend out in the nice quiet dark country and kinda annoyed I have to go back t'morrow and deal with the noisy obnoxious neighbours again and the noise and light pollution and the frustrating job that is giving me back and hip trouble. *SIGH*

Does anyone have any good tips on how to do pearly sheen with non iridescent markers? I have not been able to find any tutorials on it but wondering if anyone has any tips or knows a good tutorial? I really want to improve my marker colouring techniques. I Have up to 70 different copics now , I love em, but colouring my character is difficult even tho I love her much XD

Also in case everyone is wondering (which I doubt anyone is) but yeah I have been getting a lot of hours at work but it has been putting a toll on my back, hip and shoulders so I have been having a lot of back and hip pain lately -_- I Still have not been able to find another job yet that will help with my sanity and my health but I may have a chance with a company that hires people out for temp jobs. I have a primary focus on administrative/ office work... Hopefully not with call centers...

Also trying to get back into my art, lately it just has not been doing anything for me, but I want to do more cuz I have the comic(s) to work on and I want to get my bestiary done too! My art is just coming out so slowly lately, if at all, I have drawn a few things but mostly stuff for just myself so nothing worthy of being posted up.


I also have an art and craft show this Saturday here in Halifax so hopefully I can sell some more prints :)

Hiya folks. Just letting you all know my bro made it back safely, his treatment didn't give him any instant recovery except his balance is a touch better so is his speech. Bro has to take some meds for the next 6 months or so apparently it can take as long as a year for any major improvements.

I have been distracted by my new DSiXL the past 2 weeks, I just got Okami-Den on Thursday, cute game, I want Okami but they don;t have it for the DS. This is what annoys me, last Weekend I got a new DS it was on sale for $149 (before tax) and I see the wii's in Best Buy for the same price a week later, DAMNIT! I could have easily got a Wii -_- Ah well maybe next paycheck I can.

Still in a drawing rutt, have not been drawing much at all lately, I did a vulpix that I am going to post tonight but that is the newest piece for like a month... |Yes I am still irritated at my lack of interest in my art lately, driving me nuts...


Anyway that is all.

Well t'morrow (Sunday) my bro  neobesitz is going to Poland for his treatment that could bring back his sight, his balance and his speech (well make his speech better) his MS did a number on those things. Or he could not make it. It is a tricky and delicate procedure. He came in with both mom and dad for a visit, dad never comes here... I am anxious for his safe return and for a safe procedure.

My stupid flu thing is finally going away, it is just a lot of coughing and stuffy nose now thankfully, I am very happy the coughing has died down now too.

So yeah thus is the news for this weekend.

I am not sure if I got nailed with some strange flu or what, but Friday at work I had to go home early because I started feeling really shitty. I was walking around doing my work and then I get a headache, and I am like 'ok headache, kinda hurts but manageable' then about 15 minutes after that I got a wave of dizziness and hot and cold flashes, then about another 15 minutes or so after that I feel it in my back. I go for lunch break, I feel a little better then after I come back from break, BAM my entire body aching literally from head to knees, the pain was not lessening up. I go to the office and ask the managers if I could leave early because I felt like shit. One of them said Ok but after I get cash ups and send so and so on break so they could cover me. I ended up standing at the podium for the rest of the time before I could go home. I left about an hour earlier then my shift was over, which was ok, so I came home to take pain killers and to hope to sleep the pain off. But yeah I couldn't move a whole lot without having the waves of pain shooting through. At one point I was kind of leaning on the podium and one of the managers says "Fading fast." and I nodded and said "Oh yeah..."
But yeah body was so sensitive that I could feel everything that dug into my body, like the plastic piece on my tank top strap, and the coils from the mattress on the bed, all felt like they were going to cause bruising @.@ So I have developed a bit of a cough and some congestion and I am still getting the pains today, so I have been taking a lot of Motrin... So I slept a majority of Saturday afternoon.


I also have developed an addiction to sushi, yup sushi. Funny for someone who never liked seafood suddenly developed a liking for raw fish with rice and seaweed and the occasional roe.

Also I wanted to see Harry Potter bad enough that even tho I felt like shit Friday night, I just pumped myself full of Motrin and went to the movie. T'was a good movie =^_^=

I dunno people, I was hoping that going to the animaritime convention was going to help me get back into my drawing groove but, its a no go............ This artblock, this uninspiration business is really getting on my nerves guys.... I dunno what to do about it.... I am not happy with my art that has come out recently, it is a possibility I am unhappy with it because I am unhappy with my life currently. I think I am going to delete some of my pictures out of my gallery... Looking at some of my recent work just irritates me. I look at what I used to be able to do and now what shit I can only get out, honestly I have not liked most of my recent art, nothing looks as good as it used to, ticks me off... I have no patience with it anymore and I can see that in the shit I have put out lately. So sorry about the fucking shit I have been posting here, it's all garbage I hate it.................................. I want to draw SO bad, I want to draw like I used to so fucking bad and just nothing comes out how I want it, nothing looks right at all.

I'll move the commissions to scraps cuz it won't be fair to the commissioners if I delete it or something....

Ok now that I am kind of more awake just typing to say. Animaritime was a nice change of atmosphere. I am a little disappointed that I did not sell many prints but I am not very surprised because there were a lot of way better artists there plus the vendor shops. I sold my dragonair sculpture which I am happy about, I made more money off of on the spot quickie commissions. I also ate sushi there; I never thought I would ever eat the fish but I quite enjoyed it and it had two kinds of roe on them a lager red kind and a smaller orange kind. The roe was ok I just did not enjoy the popping feeling liek I was eating bugs XD. I tipped the cooks there both times and complimented on their lovely work and the really appreciated it and made me a little extra. I have no idea what the things were they made for me but they were tasty. I was surprised I even like eating the raw tuna on the little rice rolls (I think that is called nigirizushi) I think it had something to do with the fact I had been really craving sushi the past few weeks and there happened to be a very good sushi place next to the hotel I was staying at, the place is called Pinksushi. I also found a set of really pretty D&D dice, they are SOO pretty! They are primarily white with swirls of colours and a pretty pearly pink sheen on it, so PRETTY@
I met some really awesome artists thedre and I got to see Atuki from DA again which was nice. I also met some awesome artists I never knew exsisted in Halifax: Sonopants, M-T-copyright, Twinerism, CantoChi and Varethane. They are all on DA btw.
I am also happy that my plush Ceres came in on Monday, so happy! She is cute and soft :D thank you again Mistress-of-Air for taking on this commission for me greatly appreciated!

Now good night and I have to go to my stupid job t'morrow....

Got back from thew con it was neat, got to meet a lot of cool artists and I also met a couple of furries which was neat! I will post more later but right now I am very sleepy. Also I ate a LOT of delicious sushi this weekend @.@

ALSO anyone looking to draw a bunny guy? Just lineart? My brother wants to practice his colouring skills, also his birthday is on the 11th of this month! Anyone would like to do this for him, that would be awesome!
