Still hanging in there, it's been over 2 months since mom passed away and her memorial is coming up at the end of this month. I want to thank everyone who donated and purchased art directly and thru my auctions here, Because of that we were able to handle all the cremation/memorial expenses. You guys are the best! *hug*

As for drawing, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things but the depression I'm suffering with is hard to beat. I'd hoped to be taking new sketches and color work this month but I don't think that will happen. I still have existing work that was put on hold and I have to finish that before I take anything new. I plan to post here when I get thru the backlog and open for new work. Thanks for your patience.

It is with overwhelming sadness that I tell you my mother, Sherry Light, passed away Thursday evening (January 27) after a valiant four months long battle with the after effects of Covid.

It has often been said that a person lives on in the hearts and memories of all of those that knew and loved them. If that is any true measure then my mom is surely still more alive today than most. Her warm welcoming spirit touched and enriched the lives of so many over the years that it is impossible to overstate her impact on the all of those that she loved.

I love you mom….

Most of you know my mom as been ill since the family caught Covid in September despite being vaccinated. Today she will be coming home on hospice to spend whatever time she has left with the family.

I will be her primary caregiver along with weekly visits from the Nurse and CNAs. Because of this I will not be taking on any new work for the foreseeable future. For those who have art in progress with me I will be trying to complete them when I have an opportunity but I ask for patience, or you can contact me and we can work something out. I will continue to update my Patreon, sharing classic pieces and sketches during this period.

I appreciate all who have offered well wished and support during this difficult time. It means the world to me. I love you all.

Sorry everyone, there has been lots going on with my mom (still in either hospital or rehab depending on the day) so I'm taking a personal day for myself.

I be back to work on outstanding art tomorrow and will stream next weekend. I hope you all can understand.

I will be streaming this Saturday with my Cabal sisters but not taking any new work. I'm way behind on existing art because I've been a full time caregiver for my parents as we all recover from Covid. Mom is the weakest and sadly had to be readmitted to the hospital on Tuesday. This downward slide started on Sunday when we received news my uncle (her only brother) passed away. He had a terminal lung condition and while we knew it was coming, no one expected it to happen this fast. It hit her especially hard, and that along with physical complications due to Covid, forced us to send her back to the hospital.

The good news is she is getting better and we hope she will be sent to rehab or sent home with home care nurses so the full responsibility of her care won't fall to me.

I hope to be back to regular Sunday streams with Sara and more artwork in November. Thanks for all your support over the last 2 months. It's meant a lot to me.

The family is now covid free! We are all still tired but feeling much better and all have tested negative. Mom is still in rehab to regain her strength but we can see her now and hope she will be home in a week or so.

Thanks to all for your support and patience while we were ill. I appreciate it so much, I have the best fans in Furrydom!

We're into the second week here at home, and generally everyone is feeling better.
We'll be retesting soon to see if we've shaken this thing, then we'll get the house cleaned and in order.
Still no orders being fulfilled for now, unless you have ordered shirts, which are produced and shipped by a third party.

My mom had to be in the hospital for a couple of days due to other health issues being aggravated by the virus, but she is now in rehab and should be home soon.

Thanks so much for all of your good wishes, they have been very helpful to all of us as we negotiate this miserable virus.

Sorry I’ve been MIA but my entire household is sick with Covid (mom, dad, husband and me) 4 breakthrough cases since we were all vaccinated in April. Been fighting it for a while now and energy is in short supply. Mom has been in hospital for 3 days so far.

Website is up but NO orders will be going out until home is covid free (approx 2 weeks)

All sketches and commissions that should have gone out are also delayed.

I’m really sorry for those waiting for art or orders but I just can’t get anything done and don’t want to risk sending illness thru the mail.

Back to bed with me. Please stay safe everyone, you don’t want this.
