General | Posted 13 years agoThey want me to be scanned for MS quickly, which I cannot afford until I have insurance again through Disney (in 90 days.) I also have a disease that is destroying the cushions between the vertebrae in my back, one of which is pressing into my spine and shall do more pushing as time goes on.
It would appear that I am severing my own spine, in addition to possibly having some complicated sounding neurological disease. Whoo.

So here's to you those who promised they would be there, those who said they wouldn't forget me, to those who I paid for art that never was made, to creepy roleplayers trying to rape my eyes, to masters who abandon, to people I've blocked making new names to trick me, and to the drama as well as the poison that I seem to sow with my very presence.

General | Posted 13 years agoIrony is a job that you've wanted all your life, applied for NINE times, been turned down, accepts a whimsical random application (instead of a loving and soul-poured-into masterpiece) and wants to set up a phone interview tomorrow.
I am unsure if I could even take the job if they offered because I'd be three months or more without benefits. But it's DISNEY so how can you say no?

Why I don't roleplay with strangers anymore

This is why I don't roleplay anymore, people like this moments ago (drama ahead via Facebook):

This will be my first convention. If anyone is going and is interested in sharing a room, please let me know. I don't have to stay but it would allow me to drink and have a bit more fun. I'd only be looking for one roommate, not to have like six to a room. Even if you don't have a need for a room let me know if you're planning on going so we can meet up.

General | Posted 13 years agoThe last time I was in a funk and depressed, I held my last contest to get out of it. After all if spending a thousand dollars doesn't make you feel better what can? TWO THOUSAND Seeing as I am on medical leave and haven't worked for four months I cannot afford to hold a contest, but I started to think: What about the contest got me out of the mud? It was the planning, the distraction of having something to think about and consider the angles on. With that in mind I am focusing on the future in a few ways.
1. Fursuit:
- Shall be of either my Turian Quiin or of my krogan Ral.
- Of the ten suit makers, four have gotten back to me. One said no can do, another needs more experience before attempting such a thing, and two have expressed an interest.

- Would have working mouth, muscles, possibly armor and weapons too.
The base suit for each is around $4000, I figure that I should aim high. After all, people told me I was crazy to hold contests like I did and look at them now. They're still right.
2. The first convention: Megaplex
- Should be far enough away time wise for me to save for it. Near enough that I could drive to it and if I had a roomie, could likely stay there.
- I am so shy in real life, so I'll likely be one of those alone fat kids hobbling around on a broken body, but I want to go. They always looks so much fun.
3. A house:
- My grandfathers house appears to coming into my possession at least for the short term, I never expected such a thing yet it is still a fragile kind of thing. If my grandmother needs care we would sell it to pay for that. It is a nice thought that I could do away with most of my bills however and might even be able to charge rent on the extra room.
4. Possible new job: Disney call center
- Local place I've been trying to get a job at for most of my life. It would be amazing in many ways: sitting down, good pay, and wonderful perks (many free tickets, discounted hotels and meals.) Geek Squad has been great but if I do not get better, I will never be able to work there walking and bending so much.
I'm focusing on moving on from the worst week and am doing better, the last hurdle with be Papa's memorial service in early March. After that I should be able to continue to make strides into the future, whatever that may hold. Any prayers, well wishes or the like are greatly appreciated and I thank those here who have already offered such thus far.

General | Posted 13 years agoDrunk. Came home from the doctors and got drunk. For those of you keeping score, the procedure to fix my hip and back seems to have made it worse. The medication they injected should have stopped any and all hip pain, not send it shooting down my leg as it does now.
So now the doctors start throwing words around like "multiple sclerosis." Not knowing much about medical stuff I ask, "What's that."
Now I'm drunk and wishing I hadn't asked. So they now want me to go to some mayo clinic in MN to test more. Worst week of my life, confirmed.
I just don't even fucking know.

We admitted him to a hospice center because he was fighting us, having hallucinations, unable to swallow and not taking any of his pain meds. All a change we see in one day. So worst day of my life thus far and likely his last worst day.
I'm back at the apartment but very volatile, going from highs to low lows. Trying to keep chin up and I beg the forgiveness of those whom I owe responses to, this plus medication is wiping me out. Thanks for the well wishes.

General | Posted 13 years agoProcedure went okay, though now the pain is running down my leg so I'm hoping that its just the injections into my hip causing it. Sore still and quite doped up, just wanting to let everyone I'm still alive. I'm going to at the parents house for a few days. I love you guys and thank you all for your well wishes.

Case and point: I would be willing to talk about selling her, discussing what you want and why, as well as a price but for her as is you're talking thousands. If you want all of her artwork up until now, web pages and full control you're talking a serious chunk of change if I am to come close to breaking even, lets just say ten grand.
I am confident that nobody is going to pay such amounts unless they absolutely have to have her and would take good care of her. To answer those who noted me, I would only auction her off if there was a serious reason I needed to.
TL;DR Nobody is going to pay such a stupid amount of money for a fictional character so I'm safe. But hey, note me if you have an offer lol

General | Posted 13 years agoAn odd thing just happened. Someone offered to buy the Liara character from me and caught me completely by surprise. I have never sold adoptables because I cannot create artwork, so the idea of selling anything is new to me. So I ask all of my watchers and random people alike...
What do you think:
- Is selling the Liara boa character a good idea?
- Considering how much money I have spent commissioning stuff of her, a facebook page designed to 'market' her that is now about abandoned, not to mention time and love invested in her... what should I ask for price wise?

General | Posted 13 years agoGreetings everyone, it has been awhile since I've gotten an update out to the few people who care. You may have noticed a dramatic slow down in commissions that I've been getting and me being more quiet than normal on every sort of communication. The reason is that I have been having crippling hip pains that prevent me from walking or even laying down. MRI's and X-rays have been done as well as blood work and the doctor is thinking that it might be something with some vertebrae not being where they are supposed to be. Pain meds are knocking me loopy but not helping with pain, it has taken me about three attempts to write this so where it makes some sort of sense.
Surgery might help but there is also a chance the doc says that I will have to live like this, unable to walk or stand for any length of time. Fortunately United Health Care seems to be on strike in the state of Florida so just about everything has been out of pocket and is leaving me just shy of destitute.
Thank you to my friends for making my life bearable this last month that I have been on medical leave; you guys as well as a certain black and orange orca have kept me sane. There should be some new art soon, but sadly my focus shall have to shift to the thousands I now owe for the few answers I've gotten.
Have a merry Christmas and if you drop me a line, the medication I am on makes it difficult to focus and sleep at very odd times, so I ask you be forgiving.

General | Posted 13 years agoHaven't updated in a while, so I figure I should. My health has been on a bit of a decline with an old issue coming on much stronger, I have often had hip pains for years but the last month or so has been wrecking me. Worst pain imaginable shocking as I walk or sit, unable to see a doctor before october 1st because that is when it would be covered. Not sleeping much as a try to remain still and not cry out in pain all night. Shit sucks man, sitting down after work in my car is the worst, takes me twenty minutes to stand up and make my way up the stairs to my apt.
New job going well and just like I remember it. Except now I hobble along like a cripple, cause I'm quickly turning into one. It would appear that big changes are on the way and it will be interesting to see where it goes.
Hard to type or think straight as I just got home from work and I'm hurting, but hope you all are well. Also RIP Neil Armstrong. Cheers.
