I got my PC back, but I'm having trouble getting SDL to work. SO! Until I fix it, trying to remember what I did right the first time, Game Maker is all I have.

I've kind of been stressed about that lately. A lot of developers regard GM as a kiddie toy, and kind of for good reason. It does simplify a lot of things that pros would have to impliment themselves.

So I want to know, would you guys think any less of me if I kept it? At least for the time being. I fully intend to keep studying C++ and C# to keep my options open, but if I finished Cloud Chasers in GM, would anyone dislike that?

I've been playing the Android game that's 20% cooler than the rest: Rainbow Cloud Attack.

You play as Rainbow Dash, and you have to clear all the white clouds as fast as you can. If you hit a storm cloud, you lose a life and your score multiplier goes down. A cotton candy cloud slows you down, and the more you hit, the slower you go.

So far my high score is over 559 THOUSAAAAAAAND! *smashes cupcake in hoof*

Heehee. So yeah, anypony with an Android, look it up. You won't be disappointed.

I'm not going to jump right back into CC just yet. I'm going to do some studying, and then I'm going to do what I should have done long ago: start small.

Before I start any big games, I will make small mini games to practice different fields of game play and prepare myself for larger projects. Then I will slowly work my way up into greater complexity. When I feel I am ready, I will tie all the games together into a multicart which will be my first nD release.

THEN I shall resume Cloud Chasers. Sound good?

Also, I'm open to suggestions for games you want me to try to make.

I'm NOT cancelling Cloud Chasers! NEVAR! Instead, I will be recoding the entire thing on my phone in SDL. This is because, one, there is no Game Maker editor on Android, and two, I'll be able to port the game to the nD.

Since I have been forced to start over anyway, I've decided I'm not going to make it a strategy RPG. Just too slow and boring for me. If I can't even play the game, how can I be expected to finish making it. Thus, I shall instead do it Zelda style.

So, details on how this will work will be posted later on. Just know that the game is still on, OK?

OAlong with every fucking other project I have ever started.Also no more art again, ever. Oh and no comic either. No stories or songs. Nothing. I don't have a computer anymore, and I might not have a phone much longer either, so yeah, I might as well not even fucking exist anymore.

Once upon a time, in a magical land far far away, there was a king who ruled with chaos. It was a good chaos, fun and lighthearted. Everyone was happy, because each new day was something different and exciting. Life was never boring. But one day, two magical sisters who detested the chaos rose up against the king with six magic stones to create a new order and imprison the king in stone. Over the years, the magical sisters ruled as princesses of the land, spreading order as their empire grew. However, the younger princess thought her elder sister was becoming too strict, and tried to change things to balance the amount of order and chaos. But the elder sister refused, and used the stones to banish her sister. With this act of betrayal, the stones rejected the elder princess. Knowing her sister would return someday, she rewrote this history books to villainize her while searching for a student of great magical talent to fight in her stead when the princess of the night would be freed from her prison in the moon. A year after the fight, the princess of the day's student would do battle with the resurrected king of chaos, losing her friends in the process, but prolonging the white tyrant's reign in the end.

So far, I have yet to find a desktop recording app that can record sound on Windows 7. They have an option to record sound, but none of them work. I think it's connected to Audacity not having the wave-out recording option on 7 as well.

Does anyone know why this is? Or if there are any programs like Cam Studio that can get sound?

First off, no more game updates for a while since I'm taking a break from coding to work on some more graphics.

Also, my tablet is definitely fried. I'm going to have to buy a new one. No more vector art unless I draw it with my touch pad. Sorry all.

I just can't get my comic going because I'm stumped about the panels. How do you guys decide what size for each panel and how to lay them out? I've tried putting panels down first amd running out of room. I've tried drawing first and then laying panels over them, only to get a bunch of wasted space. So how do you guys do it?

I'd like to do a full page graphic novel style, but if I don't get this worked out, I'll have to use the newspaper strip style, and I don't think that'd be good for an action/adventure story.

My CD cracked and now it won't install the game on my new computer. Does anyone have a copy they'd like to get rid of? I can't pay, but I could do some art for you. I'll do more if anyone can also provide the expansions. I'm willing to give either a full body character image, fully colored and shaded, or an RPG sprite in any style.

I've gotten to that point again where I open my game file, look at the code for a bit, then start playing the little bit I have done again over and over hoping for inspiration, and nothing ever comes. I'm I just doomed to never be able to finish a project? I'm sick of getting nowhere with my games. I WANT TO FINISH ONE!

Also, since I take so long for commissions, I've decided to stop charging for artwork, and just do free art for everyone. This way I can do art on my own time and not feel guilty about taking forever because I'm not charging anything for it. Just so you know, though, I'm still only doing clean/mature yet tasteful art. No outright porn, and nothing that I personally do not want to look at. I don't mind taking tips for art, but only pay whatever you feel it's worth. There are no set prices.

Everything from a coffee machine to a gumball vendor. Gimme ideas for set pieces. If I sprite enough props to make more interesting scenery, I may get my drive to program back as well. OK, so I found out I already have some larger sprites I can use.

Now, if I use the larger sprites, I have Midi completed 100%, and also have most of the pengrunts done. The downside is I have to start everyone else over again, as well as making new scenery, but larger would naturally look nicer.

So, what do you think? I think both of these work at the current 400×240 resolution, so it's more a matter of style.

Some people, well a lot of people, have complained that my sprites are too small. They want me to make my game have bigger sprites.

Now while I do agree that they are rather small, making new larger graphics would take a lot of time. I mean, a LOT of time. However, quality is worth waiting for, as they say, so I am taking a vote.

Do you guys want me to make larger sprites and delay the game or keep the current itty bitty tiny sprites and just get on with it.
