There in cold satin skin she stood
The fog and gloom could not hide her raven hair
every other feature pale in comparison
but for the blood red lips that parted for breath

when approached she stiffened with anticipation
then gave way to tremors of delight and hunger
her eyes were silver like the moon, liquid and bright
she was just as haunting and addictive to me

smelling her musk, letting it fill my very being
I tiled my head back and let the howl rip from my muzzle
in a sorrow filled and angry song of betrayal
she simply smiled and looked coyly at me

in her hand a dagger of silver and blood red gemstones
She cut her hand and wiped the blood on my chest
when will this spell of the damned end
With the fog she vanished and left me to my pack

The hunger comes again, the hunt is on
and all i have to remember of her
is the long and cold nights
for i am forever of that night.

So as I sit here at 4 in the Am i realized going over my FA page that i never really submit any journal entries. So i figured what better time then right now. Things in this furry life of my are going well as can be expected. The holidays are over and i now turn my attention to FurIdaho. My first con....Oh so excited and at the same time i feel anxious and nervous. The con's first day is on my birthday, i will be turning 33. After reading posts in my local furry Face book page i find myself wondering if being a fur is a young man's game. Those close to me will tell you that i am and will always be young at heart. But the question of should one my age be involved in a group of young kids and adults, engaging in fur activities, still bumps the edges of my mind. Well after careful consideration i have once again realized that i don't care what others, even these "young" furs think of me. Being a furry means being different and i have come to realize that i do not fall under the full definitions of just what every other fur "thinks" it means to be a furry. For that I am thankful, it means that i may be something more then just a furry. I am not a fursuiter, a Second life player, nor am i trendy by any means. Fursuiters i love em, i just don't think i can be one. That's okay. Second life bored me after an hour of play, oh well. As for Trendy well...That is a relative term or slang as i call it. Same line of crap just a different time. it's a cultural thing. Being an older wolf yes i have seen my share of things come and go, so young ones you may be cutting edge but i did first. But i digress, it is not my intention to gripe of my age on this journal. My object is to point out that no one truly knows what it means to be furry, as it changes rapidly. There is no Fur manual to this life or any other. So I'll just keep on doing what i love when i want how i want. And i'll do it every day the sun shines on me with a smile on my face and my tail wagging. Kepp doing what you do animals, thanks for reading.
