9 Months Later...
Posted 9 years agoI wasn't really sure if I would login here for a good while longer, but after a little reminder, I figured I could drop in to this old account and have a peek at everything and see how it's going. Most of the artists I follow here are still active and I was surprised to see people having added me to their own watch list during the months I've been away, despite my inactivity.
Even back when I first made this account to get a fresh start from my first, I wasn't around too much. Although I was originally planning to post art more often and maybe focus more on finished/detailed drawings. I'm not really sure what happened, but something made me steer away from that and I suddenly stopped logging in 9 months ago.
But here I am today, seeing that there is still a tiny bit of activity left over here. A part of me do miss the community on FA. Compared to other sites, this place always seem to have that extra heart and dedication, while putting a bit more value in originality. But as someone that's not part of the furry community, or even make/post furry or anthro related art, I never felt like I belonged here in a way. There were always those who seemed to like the art I made, despite it mostly being human/fantasy themed things, but I never truly managed to shake off that feeling.
But most of all, the main reason I'm mostly struggling to post my art anymore on sites like these, is because they are nothing but sketches nowadays. There's this pressure to present something more serious and finished on sites like these, that you should post something that feels worthy of being put in your gallery. But since I'm restricted to make sketches only due to various reasons, I never had anything to show you guys.
Then again, if people wouldn't mind seeing those, then maybe I would get back here someday. I have 9 months worth of art and sketches tucked away on other sites and my files that I could try to slowly post here over time, simply to see how they'll be accepted. I dunno, there's no harm in trying and a part of me wants to see if FA can be a place for me to return to, despite my limitations within art.
Either way, I hope you're all doing alright and that you have a great start on the new year!
