Well, i just wanted to inform you all that i have halted most of my activity here on FA almost completely, as well as working on remixes. That has several reasons, most of them personal and technical. I might continue with it as soon as i find the motivation again but right now it seems all pointless to me and i haven't even be able to finish or restore most of my unfinished stuff.

You know, i've been using lots of different audio equipment over the years but i still love the MiniDisc. Why? Because i love the colorful little discs, the recording function, the possibility of doing your own mixes and storing them like regular albums or tapes. It's a lot sexier than juggling with digital files all the time. And i still think that ATRAC sounds heaps better than MP3 and company.

I also still enjoy doing my fieldrecordings with this little MD walkman and my stereo electret condenser mic. The soundquality of the DA/AD converters are awesome and ATRAC even allows 16, 20 or 24 bit recordings while MP3 and other lossy formats are bound to 16 bit only.


But now.. in 2013 and after Sony announced to stop producing MD walkmans.. it seems they have also stoped the production of blank discs as well. From one moment to the other i cannot get new blank MDs anywhere anymore.. The shelves are empty and there are not even rest posts being sold. At the same time the prices of remaining blank MDs and even used MDs on ebay and amazon are rising and EXPLODING!! It's insane and complete madness and it really pisses me off. I wonder if this is really only in germany or anywhere else?

And how's the situation in japan? I bet you can still get them there. But i don't know any japanese store that sells and ships them to germany. Are we MiniDisc users doomed to pay 40+ Euros for a handfull of used MDs? Are they really becoming a little fortune? I don't think it's an obsolete format. It has aged very well and shows even today what an awesome concept of a digital audio medium it is.

There is really a question that is bugging me for many years now. How much popular is the german soundtrack-version of the Captain Future anime around the world? Anyone who's keen on that soundtrack? Especially, how popular is it in japan?

Seriously, THAT is what i have been waiting for a long time now. An effordable true analog monophonic synthesizer WITH MIDI and USB. The only thing (and really the only thing) that bugs me is that is one oscilator only. 2 would have been even better (or even 3 like the MFB synth II). Still 500 bucks is a far away dream at the moment :P

Well, let's hope this will start a new wave of true analog synthesizers.

I'm sorry to inform you that my output will be slowing down a bit due to unforeseen problems regarding my external 500GB Hard disc which decided to stop working properly and eventually took all my precious backups with it into the cruel data-death.

Well, i am actually someone who REALLY takes care of backups and i do backup up every shit anyhow possible, mostly using DVDs. But i always find myself getting trolled by some fucking hard discs who always seem to fail when i really don't need it (well.. when can you really need a failing hard disc at all?).

Many of these backups were stored on an external HDD simply because it contained a few things that were simply too big for normal writable DVDs (and don't tell be about dual layers... i don't trust them, ok?).

It's really sad that everything stands or falls because of a few fast spinning fragile magnetic discs and a couple of reading heads.... the true bottleneck of digital technology.

If SSDs wouldn't be sooo expensive i would have switched already.


Anyway... let's end this rant now and just finish my sentence by saying: Sorry for the upcoming delays. There are no submissions harmed by the HDD issue. But it is slowing me down a lot because of a few other projects i'm working on.

Well, i was thinking a lot over the years and wonder why is it that you cannot find a girl in Berlin (my hometown) that is not a complete bitch?

I mean, this is not a rant but as someone who lives in this town since i was born and who goes through the town from time to time... i really find it hard to find a girlfriend. Especially a one who likes furries. It cannot be that completely difficult, right?

I mean i'm 26 now and i have no girlfriend. That isn't really much helpful.


And if money wouldn't be a problem, i would seriously leave the country once and forever. Because many of those fellow furry friends that met over the last few years are ALL living outside of germany (and 99% of them in the US of A).

So, do i really have to die alone and as a vir... i mean alone and sad in this town? Because in this town, i really feel alone, even though i am among a lot of people.

I'm not sure how many of You are familiar with russian cartoons.
As someone who was born up in the former german democratic republic (the former sovjet controlled side of germany) i often watched these great "bunny and wolf" cartoons which were called "Nu pogodi".

Yes, old russian furry cartoons from the 70s.

After the fall of the sovjet union many of these animations got forgotten, except a few reruns on TV here and there.

Hello everyone!

Actually i had no further motivation of writing another journal but today a journal made by Kinomi Hedgehog got my attention which made me write down some personal thoughts about reading other peoples journals.


Well, i actually do enjoy reading all your journals (at least most of them which means in numbers 95%) because i like listening to what people have to say. No matter what it is. No matter if good or bad. Emotional outbursts or just an announcement. And sometimes i even do comment those.

I have a huge understanding for you people that You put a lot of emotions into your journals. And inside a lot of your journals i really recognized the honest, sweet and unique persons behind every word of yours and began seeing the amazing people that you are. (i barrely dare to use the word human, since we're mostly all furries, aren't we? :P) So, i just wanna let you know that my ears and my mind are widely open for what you have to say. Don't feel small or stupid because some of you don't get the response to your journals like you might get for your drawing or poems or any other things you do.

Consider most of your journals being read, if i have you in my watch list.
They are equally important for me like your drawings, poems, music, photos, flash-animations and anything else you do.

You are ALL amazing humans and furries and i apreciate being part of your life and your art.

Oh, did i tell you that my english sucks? o.O

Ok, now it's official.

My trip is cancled and booked flight is aborded and i lost 691 Euros for that flight since the Airline is not paying back the money for it...
And now i even loose another 300 Euros for the Abortion of that flight.

So, i simply lost around 1000 Euros for nothing! And that was the money i was saving up for a whole year now.

Sorry but i cannot even put into words about how i feel right now.

Now... my life is kinda ruined and i have no idea what will happen next to me.

It is hard to calm down but i try....
Eventhough no one will comment my little rant, i'm cool with that. I just had to write it down to let it out.

It looks like that i'm not going to flight since the person i'm going to stay at is not responding anymore and i have no other way to contact her.
The problem is that i haven't done the ESTA registration to make sure the US Bordercontrol officer will find me in his databank as a registered USA tourist.
And that precedure needs to be paid with creditcard only and i have no freakin credit card.
Yes, i am a little bit shorttimed and i could have make this done earlier before, but i didn't.

So, now i'm sitting here, with flight allready booked, not registered for entry and the flight will go this friday.

I have no idea about what is going on.

Did they blasted Miami or what happened there?


All i can do now is hoping that after i cancled the flight i will get my money back.

Well as the title allready said i'm going to the states for the next 3 months and i'm really nervous at the moment. It will be one week from now.

For me it is the first time EVER leaving the country at all and beeing away for a certain time. But at least i'm not living with total strangers since i am actually invited to stay at a good friends place.

I am not quite not sure how it will be since i'm not going with the slightest expection. All i can hope for is that they will let me enter at the airport. I've heard stories about families beeing sent home again after they landed in the states...

So... yeah. I am nervous now..
