Its been a long time but I'm back but with significant changes. As soon as it can be done here my new identity will be Mike Cyberlynx. He's a simplified version of my old character and he's all Canadian lynx, no longer a hybrid. Im also introducing a character based on my girlfriend Missy Cassilynx. I'm following the way we actually look in real life with only very minor changes. My girlfriend and I have scars and our characters have them and I'm going to be truthful on our figures. Personalities will be true to life too. We both have our share of mental and physical issues and our characters have them too. Even our jobs will be real, me an amateur meteorologist, artist, photographer, musician and technician and Missy an artist, photographer and theologist. Ill be cleaning up my page but expect new art very soon.

I just realized I've been posting only once a year here but thanks to a good pair of friends I decided to move on and get back to drawing. But this time I'd like some help. If anyone would like to help me with my art I will appreciate it greatly. Sadly I can't afford to pay anyone but I firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due. If anyone has the time you may comment or note me. I'm usually very prompt in replying.

I just realized I havent done much here for quite a while. I hope I didnt hurt anyones feelings though, I treasure all my friends both on and offline. So many things have been happening both great and bad but Im focusing on the happy things. Im still in an art slump but I still have the drive to draw. I cant promise Ill post anything new but Ill try. I do have some possible recording jobs lined up so I may post recordings that I engineer, if its okay with the client.

I didnt realize how long its been since my last journal entry. I haven't given up completely on art yet. Ive been busy building and learning to use my own pro sound system. Plus Ive been trying my hand at some serious keyboard music. Its been very complicated but I feel like Im really becoming a great sound engineer, there are just some aspects of digital audio editing that can I just cant understand yet, at least I have a great mentor. I havent been inspired to draw lately but I respond well to encouragement. A few kind words always go a very long way with me. Well time to hit the books and console, I love audio mixers.

Today I finally got baptized in the church that I've been attending for fourteen years. I was really scared but my friends were there for me. The feeling I have now is indescribable. For the first time I really know what peace is.

Well I found out the management of the apartment complex where I live is insisting on putting new carpet in my place so Ill have to straighten up my place big time in one week. Bad part is Ive been living here for six years so I got a lot of work ahead of me. At least Im finding stuff I thought I lost and its nice to see my place nice and tidy.

I know Im a week late on posting this but better late than never. My main things are to become a better Christian, artist and sound engineer. I'm going to try my hardest to stick with it. Any help and encouragement will be greatly appreciated.

A few weeks ago the radio in my truck died so since I couldnt afford a new radio right now the only replacement was an old automotive 8-track player I bought a few years ago. Thankfully it not only works but works great after a few minor repairs. It got my passion for 8-track tape going again. The tapes can be tricky to work with but I like them. Newer isnt always better. A nearly 35 year old tape deck outlasted a 10 year old CD player radio. There's some real truth to "they dont build them like they used to".

In my volunteer job I do quite a bit, and that even means learning Pro Tools, Finale, and a bit of Final Cut plus a few more programs not sound related. Pro Tools was pretty easy for me but Finale is a bit tougher, but I'm getting it. I even have to use Photoshop and Illustrator sometimes. I'm really glad I have friends that can help and encourage me.

Despite the tragedy at the Indiana state fair, its so refreshing to see how many people stepped up to help the injured. Even the governor Mitch Daniels was impressed. God was really moving there. They always said God is strong in our weakness and that was really true Saturday night. I hope everyone injured recovers nicely and remembers all those who helped them.

I know I havent been very active here, but adapting some words of a favorite song. I'm still here, its just that I'm out of sight. Yes I am a Barry Manilow fan. I plan to step up my art a bit more when I can find the time. Being an assistant technical director isn't easy, but I love the work. Until next time.

Its that time again. I've always enjoyed making ornaments, usually I start with a kit and then add my own ideas to it. I just have to haul out my 30 pound craft box again. That much beads and tools can get heavy, lol. Id be happy to exchange ideas with other people who are into beaded ornaments. Some of my ideas go from simple to pretty complex. I just have to figure out how to photograph ornaments. Half the fun is the challenge.

At the advice of  dingbat I decided to get me a page here. Thanks to everyone thats given me a welcome so far. I think Im going to like it here.
