A simple TOS of how I work with trades:

__BASICS__
• I accept art trades from anyone whose art skills are at least at the same level as mine, or close to, to make it fair for the both of us. If your art skills are lower (or significantly lower) than mine, we still might come to an agreement, so don't be shy to ask!
• Quality of the trade will be discussed individually. If you're offering a sketch, I'll do the same; if I'm offering a colored piece, I expect you to do the same. Remember to communicate with me clearly! "Surprise trades" aren't my thing, so we'll need to establish the quality of the trade.
• I will only show my half of the trade after I've either received yours, or you've shown me proof that your half is done (e.g. a cropped image of the full artwork). If I happen to finish my half first, I'll show you a cropped, watermarked image of it as a proof, and then wait for you to deliver yours. I do this because in the past I've been scammed and never received the other person's trade half.
• In case you're unable to finish your half, I still won't upload/give you my finished half. I understand that things happen or motivation may disappear. If you communicate with me it's all good; you won't be added to my blacklist. But there's a high possibility I'll reject your future trade request.
• If you have anything to ask/say, please do! Communication is the key to success. I'd be more than happy to answer if anything's unclear/you're not sure about certain things. I can guarantee you're not bothering me. ♥

__BLACKLIST__
• If your half of the trade is clearly done poorly/rushed/not in the same quality as mine/not in the quality we agreed on, you'll be blacklisted from any future trades.
• I'm very strict when it comes to other people drawing my oc's, so I will give you clear guidelines what's OK and what's not. If you ignore these guidelines and draw my oc's in any type of situation that makes me uncomfortable, you'll be blocked and booted to the blacklist.
• If you draw my oc's in a mockery way (e.g. drawing in a different style than usual and making my oc's look horrible on purpose), you'll be blocked & blacklisted.
• If it's been more than a year, and I haven't heard anything from you, I consider the trade cancelled. I will remove you from my trade list and add you to my blacklist.
➤ Conclusion: don't act like a dick and you're fine.

__GENERAL RULES WHEN DRAWING MY OC'S__
OK!
+ SFW only, tasteful nudity is OK
+ You can alternate the clothing slightly and/or add accessories as long as it stays in character.
+ SFW character interaction, respectfully and in-character (no kissing, hand-holding, or anything similar intimate).
+ Gore, as in; my oc being the one gutting/ripping someone to pieces.

- NSFW; Sexually explicit/adult themes

- Changing character's personality/looks

So. There it is. Something that I never thought I'd see.

I got an ADHD diagnosis today.

My entire life I've never even thought I'd have that. I've read about it, and sure enough many of the symptoms matched, but I still always thought like "nahhh, I don't have that". People have just always said I'm "weird". Sure, maybe 5 people have said "you definitely have ADHD". Autistic, sure, but adhd? Sounds too bizarre to me. Yet today I got an official diagnosis of it.
The psychiatrist even said "the points needed for ADHD diagnosis went way over in your case, and it is so clear that we don't have the need for a specialized medical care evaluation".

I was just sitting there, stunned. In disbelief. I was like "are you sure???". The psychiatrist just nodded and smiled and said it was so very clear, that there's no doubt about the diagnosis. She also said I had such severe traits of autism that she thinks it might be asperger instead. But since their department don't have the tests needed for diagnosis for autism/asperger, I was put on line for specialized medical care where they will be able to make the last remaining interviews and tests for both. The lines for those are long, and she said I'll be lucky if I get there within a year.

On top of the ADHD diagnosis, she updated my other diagnoses as well, and said I might need VKL (vaativa lääkinnällinen kuntoutus), which roughly translates to "demanding medical rehabilitation". So I also have severe depression, bad social anxiety, dissociative disorder, anxiety disorder, and something else but I can't remember what it was. The 5 other diagnoses after ADHD I already knew I had, since most of them I've had for 20+ years. It was just something she updated that, yes, I *still* have them.

I will also be placed on short-term therapy to talk about my past traumas, since I requested, as those are big heavy things I really want to move on from and leave in the past. She also suggested I'd try psychophysiotherapy, and I'll be put on that as well. I also have a doctor's and neurologist's appointments soon, where I get to discuss about possible medication for the ADHD.


I uhh... Really don't know how to react to be honest. I guess I'm somewhat relieved? That I have some kind of explanation as to what's "wrong" with me, and the hope that maybe the medication will help me concentrate better and silence my brain. Only time will tell. It'll take a while to digest this new diagnosis. I'm just....so confused and full of different emotions.

March is almost here, and I'm getting ready to finally start sketching the first pages of the upcoming adult comic featuring Miru and Nox. Commissions will be put on indefinite hold so I can better focus on drawing said comic. I might open few slots here and there, and my Dircord server members will be the first to get notified when (if) I do. My goal is to sketch at least one page per week, so that hopefully the coloring process might begin later this year. I will be attending this year's Art Fight as well, so that might cause a small hiccup in my comic process.

That being said, I've created a new google form for yall to fill. It's a poll to influence my commission prices, as I'm still not sure if I'm putting my prices too low or high (I really suck at pricing my own work lol). So I'd love to hear it from you guys! The poll is completely anonymous and doesn't collect e-mails or anything like that. I just wish to hear your two cents on the matter. It's very very short and takes probably less than a minute to fill. I'd be very happy and thankful if you'd have the time to fill it. ♥

Me and Zen will be leaving to his parents' place on Monday the 22nd to spend Christmas there. We will be surrounded by forests and fields (and the cutest doggo) with a bad internet connection, so we both will be offline for majority of the time. I'll be checking Discord every now and then but that's pretty much it. I'll bring my pen and paper with me in case inspiration hits and I'll get something doodled. I'm not sure when we'll be back, but we'll probably stay there for 3-4 days.

Today was my last day at the intern place, so it's finally over!! 😭🎉✨✨

I'm finally going to have my certificate for Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration!
It's been long in the making tbh xD I started it way back in 2019, but had to quit due to mental breakdown.
Now I finally got the last courses done that I needed, and got excellent 5's and very good 4's! (the grades go from 1 to 5)
I think this certificate will have the best grades ever, since it's only full of 5's and 4's 😁

So now I'm only missing the certificate, but I can officially say "Jesus take the wheel" and just chill. All I need to do now
is to wait for all the participants to sign the papers and that's it. I'm DONE. It's OVERRRRR~!

Now I rrreally seriously need a long time off of such things x'D
I'm seeing my psychologist every 2-4 weeks, we're currently running tests for autism and ADHD.
I also had a revelation about drawing today when I met her;
before I started using smart phones or playing video games, arting was smooth and easy. I could easily draw 5 new artworks PER DAY.
Nowadays I barely manage 2 per MONTH. And I realized; I started playing WoW in 2010/2011, and gradually I drew less and less.
I could only concentrate on one thing. I either played the game and didn't draw, or I drew but didn't play at all.
Over the years it turned more into me gaming and not giving a fuck about drawing. But there's one more thing.
In WoW you can choose to either grind your gold or simply pay 20€ and get loads of gold. Me, lazy as I am, never had the
mental capacity to start grinding for gold, so I always bought it instead. This soon turned into a need for instant gratification.

When I draw, I need to "grind" it before the "gold" appears on my screen. I can't just click a button to buy myself my own art and dodge the grind.
This creates a vicious cycle of desperately wanting to draw, to create, but being unable due to the mental and physical strength it takes me to do it.

But now that this school bollocks is over, I can finally rest, breathe and collect myself.
I need to explore these thougths further. I might've just found the reason I hate drawing so much nowadays and can't find any joy in it.

But hopefully I'll finally get some new art out in December. 💙

♦ My internship is almost over! Only 4 more weeks left, and then I'm finally (hopefully) free. -_-

♦ My constant headaches now also have a diagnosis; chronic tension headache.
I tried a preventive medicine, but could only do 3 pills until my heart decided it's a big nope. So I had to quit that.
Now the doctor will ponder if there's another option or an alternative for the preventive medicine.. ^^'

^ These are the reasons why my arting has been slow for quite some time now. It's always one of these options;
a) I'm too tired to draw after a full day at the intern place.
b) I had to leave home early because of a rising and worsening headache at the intern place, paralyzing my ability to do anything.
c) I'm too mentally exhausted to do nothing but watch Youtube videos/play Stream games.
d) No reason. Just don't feel like drawing at all.

-> BUUUTTT I really really really wanna start to draw a nsfw comic! I already have the characters and setting in mind,
been doodling out plot pages and refining the action scenes/dialogues. So I'm really hoping by the beginning of
next year, I will finally be able to start drawing the pages. -u- The comic will be free to read ofc, nothing's going behind a paywall.
I like to keep myself as an "old time" furry artist, away from Patreons and such, and just do regular commissions, YCH's etc. ♥

🎇 I will be starting my internship 1st of July and it lasts until 30th of November. This internship is the final part of my school to finally have the Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration education done, after which it'll be easier to find a job. The internship makes it so that I'm basically a full-time trainee, meaning my free time per day will significantly decrease, and I will be a lot more tired/exhausted, as these kind of things drain my batteries super fast.

Because of this, I don't know how it will impact my motivation to draw. Maybe it'll give me a boost and I'll draw more, or it might completely drain me and the arting will be slowed down a lot. We'll see.
I know for a fact that I'll be less social, so if I don't reply to dm's or conversations, don't take it personally. ♥

now I finally got the e-mail from Adobe informing me that my annual subscription is about to automatically renew next month. I've had the same monthly sub of 11,28€ for 10 years. so I logged in and checked their current available plans and...HOLY SHIT. the cheapest Photoshop sub starts from 27€ per month. the sub that I have no longer exists, and haven't existed in a looong time, yet I get to keep it as long as I don't cancel it. so now I'm just tempted to keep it. ain't no fucking way I'd ever re-sub to pay triple that I am right now.

on the other hand I could remove my PS sub and switch to Photo Affinity, since it's basically the same as PS or even better, and you only need to buy it once, no monthly/yearly subs. the bad part is it costs 75€ and I don't have that kinda money as unemployed blob. I could open up one commission spot to reduce the amount I need to pay for it, bbuuuuttt I dunno. I was really hoping there was at least a free trial to test it first to see how it is...

any recommendations/thoughts of this matter?

I'm feeling less and less motivated to draw each day. I read Teranen's journal a while ago here in FA and I agreed with a lot of stuff in it. About AI.

It just feels pointless to draw at this point when AI slop is being made more and more and slowly it's getting better and better, making it more difficult to recognize each day. I'm a slow artist. I might take up to a month working on a single piece, because I want to fix all anatomy errors or anything other that looks wonky or weird in my eye. A person generating AI images can make 300 pics in a couple of hours (or less, depending whether their quality standards are high or not).

There are also plenty of people generating AI content on Patreon and making hundreds, some even thousands of dollars per month. Imagine, fucking IMAGINE, paying to see AI generated slop which you could find online for free. But I guess that's where we're at. People with zero understanding what it takes to create a piece of art just want mindless, endless porn on their eyes, no matter the quality, as long as it's a couple hundred AI pics a month..

It's also super disheartening seeing so so SO many "artists" on this site alone, who sell YCH works which are clearly traced off of an AI image, who make easy 100$ per such work when people don't see/recognize it's a traced slop. Usually the finished works have very wonky linearts and horrible shading/coloring, sometimes even clearly blurred AI background on it. Yet people don't see it or *care*. I've noticed it's a lot easier for us artists to recognize if some noob is tracing AI, but for non-artists it's more difficult.

I contacted the FA staff of a one individual on this site who does this, who clearly, poorly, traces AI images and sells these as original YCH's (one of the images even has a male character with 6 fingers lol). Unfortunately, there's nothing the staff can do. They don't
a) accept 3rd party notices of traced images
b) they do side with the artist in unclear situations.
So even for them it's totally OK, when even a blind person could see what the "artist" is doing. So basically I should find the original AI image first, contact whoever made it, and ask *them* to ask FA staff to remove the traced works. But... what if the "artist" in question is generating those AI images themselves and then tracing them? Especially if they are using an AI that let's you create private galleries, there's ZERO chance of them ever getting caught.

Yeah it's just.... I dunno man. I'm tired. Angry. Frustrated.

I'll try to get back on my feet and back to drawing. It's... difficult. I'm sorry about this. Just wanted to let you guys know what's going on in my head atm and why I haven't posted any new art in over a month. I already have plenty of unfinished sketches waiting for me to finish them. I'll get back to arting slowly, trying not to let all this AI shit get to me.. :')

Hello luvs! ♥

I've noticed some people joining my Discord server then immediately or later either leaving or being kicked out by my server bot.
There's a reason I got my server an automod bot; for safety. There are times when neither me or Zen (the only mod) are online,
and I want to be certain my server won't get bots/spams/etc during that time. My server did have a rather shady
individual about a month ago, and a couple of members, myself included, were suspicious if they were a bot. So I don't
want anything like that again on my server.

That's why I have this server bot verifying anyone new who joins; the bot automatically sends an individual a captcha to
verify they're a human, not a bot. The verifying has 30 minute time span, after which the bot will auto-kick the person
who hasn't verified themselves. The bot sends the captcha only twice. Once immediately, the second time after 15 minutes
if the person hasn't verified themselves yet. After 30 minutes, it boots you off of the server. You will NOT receive the DM
from the bot, if you don't have your DM's enabled in the Discord settings.
The verification also works if, for some reason, someone would get banned from the server, and then would try to
re-join with different Discord account, they can't. Because the verification bot would recognize the banned ID and
auto-reject them from entering the server.

Just wanted to write this here, in case some people get confused why they got kicked out.
The bot should send you a DM for the reason why you were kicked, but again, if you don't have
DM's enabled, you'll never receive the message either.

Aiggghhtt, here we go! Last batch of commissions are open, before I close them for a longish period of time.

The form stays open until the end of this month, and then will be closed again. This time for a long time.
There might be some random YCH's popping up at some point, but other than that, commissions will be closed after March.

In the light of the recent big scam incident, I've been thinking about the payment methods of commissions.
I have been a client myself and I've also offered commissions years before I came back last year.

Now I'm trying to figure out which payment method would be the best for the client and for myself as well.

PayPal invoicing system
This is the default option that I've been using for years, and luckily I've never been scammed.
This option is very secure for the clients, but not as much for the artist.
In case a client wants a refund, they can just issue one with a click in their PayPal, without
ever telling the artist. This is also very easy method for scams, since PayPal is known to
side more with the client than the artist.
-> So this method is in favor for the client, but leaves the artist to just trust and hope they won't get scammed.

PayPal.me / PayPal donations
As an artist offering commissions, I would steer away from this option, but it does give better
protection from scams. As per PayPal's policy, any donations/tips are non-refundable unless the
receiver hasn't used/transferred the money after 30 days, end even then PP really doesn't like refunding those.
-> So this method is in favor for the artist, but leaves the client to just trust and hope they won't get scammed.


What are your opinions on this matter? Which method would you trust more, or feel more secure about?
Or is there maybe a better option somewhere that hasn't crossed my mind?

As there are over 30 artists who got scammed by the same person, some of these artists
need urgent help with either legit commissions or donations!

Sometimes being unproductive is a blessing. I just dodged a scammer:
TP1 [name redacted cause on this site it's considered harassing for warning artists about scammers lmao]

For my luck, I got an explosive artblock in the beginning of December, and I didn't
even get to send them an invoice. Today I saw in my Discord that their account had been removed,
so I jumped here and BOOM saw his profile filled with artist saying he's scammed them.

Gawddang I feel so bad for all the artists, we're talking about 10,000$ and over 30 artists...

I hate how easy it is to scam people with PayPal invoicing system... Unfortunately PP is way more
on the side of the buyer, not the artist. So in worst case scenario those artists will never
get their money back.

Because of this reason I cancelled all my commissions. I need to rethink of a safer way
of payment, I'm dropping the invoicing system away. I was thinking of asking future payments
via PayPal but as a "gift"/donation. At least that way I'd be more protected against scams,
since PayPal doesn't refund gifts/donations unless the receiver hasn't used or moved the
money after 30 days.
