400 watchers?! Raffle time? β₯
Posted 18 hours agoo HECC when did I go past 400 watchers?! Damn, there's a lot of you now, heeeyyy~! (β ββ’βΟββ’β β) β₯β₯β₯
This definitely needs an art raffle! I just need to figure out a good schedule so that I'll have a lot of time to draw.
Luckily I'll have a week-long vacation in October, so I might just use that as an end date.
Further details will be posted later, buuuttt I'm thinking of starting the raffle near the end of this month.
So keep your eyes open! β₯
Also, a question!
I *was* thinking of making this next raffle end when I reach 500 watchers here in FA, but since
that number is 86 watchers short, that'd mean the raffle would be open for a loooooong time. xD
What do you think about raffles that only end when a certain follower count is accomplished?

π Internship + Art Fight 2025 π
Posted 2 months agoπ I will be starting my internship 1st of July and it lasts until 30th of November. This internship is the final part of my school to finally have the Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration education done, after which it'll be easier to find a job. The internship makes it so that I'm basically a full-time trainee, meaning my free time per day will significantly decrease, and I will be a lot more tired/exhausted, as these kind of things drain my batteries super fast.
Because of this, I don't know how it will impact my motivation to draw. Maybe it'll give me a boost and I'll draw more, or it might completely drain me and the arting will be slowed down a lot. We'll see.
I know for a fact that I'll be less social, so if I don't reply to dm's or conversations, don't take it personally. β₯
π Art-wise for the whole July I'll be focusing on this year's Art Fight. So expect to see a lot of art attacks/revenges from me, aka other people's oc's. x}
(I already have 12 characters in my bookmarks lol)

Adobe Photoshop alternative? ...or not?
Posted 3 months agonow I finally got the e-mail from Adobe informing me that my annual subscription is about to automatically renew next month. I've had the same monthly sub of 11,28β¬ for 10 years. so I logged in and checked their current available plans and...HOLY SHIT. the cheapest Photoshop sub starts from 27β¬ per month. the sub that I have no longer exists, and haven't existed in a looong time, yet I get to keep it as long as I don't cancel it. so now I'm just tempted to keep it. ain't no fucking way I'd ever re-sub to pay triple that I am right now.
on the other hand I could remove my PS sub and switch to Photo Affinity, since it's basically the same as PS or even better, and you only need to buy it once, no monthly/yearly subs. the bad part is it costs 75β¬ and I don't have that kinda money as unemployed blob. I could open up one commission spot to reduce the amount I need to pay for it, bbuuuuttt I dunno. I was really hoping there was at least a free trial to test it first to see how it is...
any recommendations/thoughts of this matter?
(no GIMP recommendations thank you)

AI Depression
Posted 4 months agoI'm feeling less and less motivated to draw each day. I read Teranen's journal a while ago here in FA and I agreed with a lot of stuff in it. About AI.
It just feels pointless to draw at this point when AI slop is being made more and more and slowly it's getting better and better, making it more difficult to recognize each day. I'm a slow artist. I might take up to a month working on a single piece, because I want to fix all anatomy errors or anything other that looks wonky or weird in my eye. A person generating AI images can make 300 pics in a couple of hours (or less, depending whether their quality standards are high or not).
There are also plenty of people generating AI content on Patreon and making hundreds, some even thousands of dollars per month. Imagine, fucking IMAGINE, paying to see AI generated slop which you could find online for free. But I guess that's where we're at. People with zero understanding what it takes to create a piece of art just want mindless, endless porn on their eyes, no matter the quality, as long as it's a couple hundred AI pics a month..
It's also super disheartening seeing so so SO many "artists" on this site alone, who sell YCH works which are clearly traced off of an AI image, who make easy 100$ per such work when people don't see/recognize it's a traced slop. Usually the finished works have very wonky linearts and horrible shading/coloring, sometimes even clearly blurred AI background on it. Yet people don't see it or *care*. I've noticed it's a lot easier for us artists to recognize if some noob is tracing AI, but for non-artists it's more difficult.
I contacted the FA staff of a one individual on this site who does this, who clearly, poorly, traces AI images and sells these as original YCH's (one of the images even has a male character with 6 fingers lol). Unfortunately, there's nothing the staff can do. They don't
a) accept 3rd party notices of traced images
b) they do side with the artist in unclear situations.
So even for them it's totally OK, when even a blind person could see what the "artist" is doing. So basically I should find the original AI image first, contact whoever made it, and ask *them* to ask FA staff to remove the traced works. But... what if the "artist" in question is generating those AI images themselves and then tracing them? Especially if they are using an AI that let's you create private galleries, there's ZERO chance of them ever getting caught.
Yeah it's just.... I dunno man. I'm tired. Angry. Frustrated.
I'll try to get back on my feet and back to drawing. It's... difficult. I'm sorry about this. Just wanted to let you guys know what's going on in my head atm and why I haven't posted any new art in over a month. I already have plenty of unfinished sketches waiting for me to finish them. I'll get back to arting slowly, trying not to let all this AI shit get to me.. :')

β¨ 26 Emoji pack / Ask my OC's! β¨
Posted 5 months agoI've added the first item in my Ko-fi shop. ^^
It's all of my self-made emojis of my Discord server. Thought I'd place it in the shop
in case there are people who'd like to use them as well.
β’ The whole pack of 26 emojis costs 3β¬, but there's an option for you to pay more if you'd like!
>> CLICK HERE TO SHOP <<
I also have a p2u base in the works, which will eventually find its way to my Ko-fi shop as well.
I have also revived an "ask my OC" area in my Discord server.
There people can ask questions from my OC's, and they will answer. Remember those OC ask blogs? Yeah like that ^_^ β₯

Verification captcha (Discord server)
Posted 6 months agoHello luvs! β₯
I've noticed some people joining my Discord server then immediately or later either leaving or being kicked out by my server bot.
There's a reason I got my server an automod bot; for safety. There are times when neither me or Zen (the only mod) are online,
and I want to be certain my server won't get bots/spams/etc during that time. My server did have a rather shady
individual about a month ago, and a couple of members, myself included, were suspicious if they were a bot. So I don't
want anything like that again on my server.
That's why I have this server bot verifying anyone new who joins; the bot automatically sends an individual a captcha to
verify they're a human, not a bot. The verifying has 30 minute time span, after which the bot will auto-kick the person
who hasn't verified themselves. The bot sends the captcha only twice. Once immediately, the second time after 15 minutes
if the person hasn't verified themselves yet. After 30 minutes, it boots you off of the server. You will NOT receive the DM
from the bot, if you don't have your DM's enabled in the Discord settings.
The verification also works if, for some reason, someone would get banned from the server, and then would try to
re-join with different Discord account, they can't. Because the verification bot would recognize the banned ID and
auto-reject them from entering the server.
Just wanted to write this here, in case some people get confused why they got kicked out.
The bot should send you a DM for the reason why you were kicked, but again, if you don't have
DM's enabled, you'll never receive the message either.

March commissions OPEN!
Posted 6 months agoAiggghhtt, here we go! Last batch of commissions are open, before I close them for a longish period of time.
The form stays open until the end of this month, and then will be closed again. This time for a long time.
There might be some random YCH's popping up at some point, but other than that, commissions will be closed after March.
β’ closed β’
I will start working on these commissions in March β₯

Commission hiatus after March!
Posted 6 months agoJust a tiny announcement that I thought might be good posting here too:
I'll be working on commissions in March, but I'll take a little break on commissions after that.
I have a couple of YCH's planned for March as well, in case my commission list stays otherwise empty/only has small works to do.
Especially in April I'll skip commissions entirely, cause it's my birthday (15.4.), and I want that month to be as stress-free as possible. β₯
I will be hosting some art raffles for all my Discord server members for the celebration~ *giggle* β₯
I have no end-date planned on the commission hiatus as of yet, but it'll probably be quite long, as I want to
focus even more on my characters, creating bases, and probably....after years, drawing a new nsfw comic.
Cheers, luvs! β₯β₯

Commission announcement
Posted 8 months agoNow that I have figured out a different payment method instead of PayPal invoices, I will be opening a couple
of commissions slots early next month! The "new" payment method will be simply my PayPal.me link.
For trusted commissioners I can create PayPal invoices if preferred.
-> Since I'm currently studying and I'm unemployed, my financial status really doesn't give much room for possible scams;
this is why the PayPal.me is safer for me as an artist. I do understand if this makes the client feel uncomfortable, and that's
why I'm willing to create invoices if the client is a trusted member of FurAffinity/art community in general.
I will create another announcement for the members of my Discord server when I open the commission form,
so the members will have a head-start on filling the form (= better chance to snatch a commission slot).
Members with the SuperStar role will have a -10% discount on all of my commissions! β₯

Which payment method is best for commissions?
Posted 8 months agoIn the light of the recent big scam incident, I've been thinking about the payment methods of commissions.
I have been a client myself and I've also offered commissions years before I came back last year.
Now I'm trying to figure out which payment method would be the best for the client and for myself as well.
PayPal invoicing system
This is the default option that I've been using for years, and luckily I've never been scammed.
This option is very secure for the clients, but not as much for the artist.
In case a client wants a refund, they can just issue one with a click in their PayPal, without
ever telling the artist. This is also very easy method for scams, since PayPal is known to
side more with the client than the artist.
-> So this method is in favor for the client, but leaves the artist to just trust and hope they won't get scammed.
PayPal.me / PayPal donations
As an artist offering commissions, I would steer away from this option, but it does give better
protection from scams. As per PayPal's policy, any donations/tips are non-refundable unless the
receiver hasn't used/transferred the money after 30 days, end even then PP really doesn't like refunding those.
-> So this method is in favor for the artist, but leaves the client to just trust and hope they won't get scammed.
What are your opinions on this matter? Which method would you trust more, or feel more secure about?
Or is there maybe a better option somewhere that hasn't crossed my mind?

Help artists who got scammed
Posted 8 months agoAs there are over 30 artists who got scammed by the same person, some of these artists
need urgent help with either legit commissions or donations!
Sadly my financial situation is too low to help with donations, but I'll help by spreading the word!

Dodged a scammer
Posted 8 months agoOh. My goodness.
Sometimes being unproductive is a blessing. I just dodged a scammer:
TP1 [name redacted cause on this site it's considered harassing for warning artists about scammers lmao]
For my luck, I got an explosive artblock in the beginning of December, and I didn't
even get to send them an invoice. Today I saw in my Discord that their account had been removed,
so I jumped here and BOOM saw his profile filled with artist saying he's scammed them.
Gawddang I feel so bad for all the artists, we're talking about 10,000$ and over 30 artists...
I hate how easy it is to scam people with PayPal invoicing system... Unfortunately PP is way more
on the side of the buyer, not the artist. So in worst case scenario those artists will never
get their money back.
Because of this reason I cancelled all my commissions. I need to rethink of a safer way
of payment, I'm dropping the invoicing system away. I was thinking of asking future payments
via PayPal but as a "gift"/donation. At least that way I'd be more protected against scams,
since PayPal doesn't refund gifts/donations unless the receiver hasn't used or moved the
money after 30 days.
Stay safe out there yall!

money after 30 days.
Stay safe out there yall!
β Creative blackout
Posted 8 months agoI'm finally starting to recover from the flu I had, so I've tried to do some artsy stuff.
Keyword, tried.
Seems like my head has completely blocked my will to draw anything. This is difficult to explain..
I guess it's the stress of "owned art" that just completely numbs me. I feel guilty if I try to draw anything
other than commissions or the raffle arts. The commissions and raffle arts on the other hand only feel
something I "have to" do, thus making my head go "I don't wanna". Even though the characters/commissions
are motivating and cool, somehow my head just...I dunno. Refuses to enjoy it? Or something?
Like, I open the obligatory works, try and do something, but all I can do is blankly stare at it and I get
nothing done, even if I'd really want to.
And if I try to draw something else (other than the owned art) I just feel too guilty to draw, and the circle goes on and on.
Today I just tried to paint a background for one of the owned works, but...that didn't help either. Nothing happened.
After an hour of just staring and feeling horrible, I felt so frustrated that I just shut down the Cintiq and
went to my living room to play on my phone instead.
I really don't know what to do.
I do have the option to just cancel all the commissions and then my workload would be halved,
but I'd hate to let down my clients, but I also hate to have them wait for so long. If everything went
according to my plan, I would've already finished all the commissions two weeks ago, but alas, irl stuff happens sadly.
And now, because everything keeps piling up, I feel more stressed and anxious.
It's mainly because I'm used to getting work done fast, I don't want to make people wait for long times.
And now that it's taken "too long" in my mind, I feel horrible. Even though none of the clients have paid yet,
because for stuff like this I always send the invoice much later, and I'm glad I do. Ofc I have contacted
the clients of this delay, and even when they say "it's okay take your time", I can't take my time, in my mind.
If I take "my time" it'll be 6 months before the work is done, and I want to keep a good schedule.
So.. Now I'm stuck here. Can't get anything done art-wise, and I'm pouring my anxiety and stress
on mobile games or watching TV, just escaping my computer and Cintiq all together.
If anyone has any good advices, I'm ready to listen. (γ£Β΄Ο`)οΎ(β₯Οβ₯)
I dunno, maybe I'm making this more of a problem than it really is..

Commissions closed
Posted 9 months agoCommissions are currently closed until further notice.
I have some sort of depressive episode going on, and I'm really struggling to do anything at all.
I will finish the remaining commissions I have on my list for this and next month, and ofc
the upcoming art raffle winner works! But after that I'll take a break from commissions to focus
more on personal artwork, maybe even a possible adult comic before opening the commissions again.
There is a slim possibility of a few YCH's, but still not sure about that.
I was thinking of keeping the form open and accepting commissions to be on hold until I feel
strong enough to start them, but then I'd feel horrible to make someone wait in line for who knows
how long before I start working on their commission. I already feel horrible making people wait
more than a week, so placing people on hold for months just sounds very off-putting to me. (; Ο ; )
A huge thank you for all who have taken a commission from me so far, and for those people
who have told about their eager interest to commission me at some point!
This has really surprised me, as I'm not used to being this asked for commission work.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone. β₯β₯ You make me feel warm and humble β₯ (Β΄,,β’Οβ’,,)β‘

Check them out, there's plenty of cool open YCH's still waiting to be claimed!
I'm honestly surprised how they aren't claimed yet, their art is very pleasing to the eye. β₯
A small commission price increase
Posted 9 months agoHeyall!
I want to apologize for a slight price increase in my commissions.
Years ago when I did commissions, PayPal had the option for clients to pay the extra fee (ranged from couple of euros),
but seems like it has since been changed, and it's now so that the seller (me) pays the fee instead.
I read through their terms as well, and it seems it's actually against their rules now to add any other
fees for the client to pay. I'm not really sure how to feel about this.
So the only change I could think of was to add that fee directly to my prices,
even though I absolutely hated it. But only this way it's "legal" in PayPal's terms, and I actually
get paid the amount that I should. The fee is "only" 5β¬ but it still felt awful to edit
that number to my commission prices. I'm so sorry for this! It's the only solution for me to
receive a full payment for my work. (e.g. if a commission costs 90β¬, I receive 85β¬...)
This change has been edited to my commission info & ToS.
(doesn't affect the people who are already on my commission list)
Sorry for the inconvenience! m(_ _;m)
