Ugh, I don't know what happened, but post-Gnollvember, I don't have any energy or drive. The idea of doing commissions completely kills my desire to draw, and I don't know what to do.

The holiday season always kind of does this too me, but this shouldn't be normal. I don't hate my family or anything, but I do feel incredibly shitty and guilty around the christmas season because I can't really get anyone anything, and I feel like a garbage freeloader.

I've been meaning to do this for quite a while, but I'm kinda stuck on what to rename Sketch to.

So, as it goes, there's quite a bit of confusion as to what a 'Sketch" is, from me. What I call a sketch isn't a sketch, any more. It's, like... Rough lines or something. So I'm gonna be, some time in the future, changing some names.

Doodle will soon be called Sketch, that should make it less awkward.

The question, now, is, what do I call Sketch? Rough Lines?
I used to call it a Clean Sketch, but the word "clean" is also used to mean SFW, so that feels confusing.
Tidy Sketch? Sub-Par Lineart?

IDK. Heck.

I'm trying to find these weird fucking werewolf guys. It's a page of concept art that looks like it's for a fighting game.

Normally they have a wolf mouth facing upward around their waist or chest or something, and when they turn into a werewolf the mouth bites up over their torso and they push out big wolf arms and the werewolf head becomes their head

and they might be kind of elastic? I can't fucking remember. I just know I can't find the art, and I'm getting frustrated.

I think it was concept art for a potential fighting game, or something? It was a bunch of colored pictures on a white background with some landscape art or something? If anyone's seen it, let me know.

Hey, I know I haven’t said much about it on this account, but I’ve been working on a pen and paper RPG.

The premise is that Human colonists have crash landed on a strange alien planet made of floating landmasses. They're too far from home to call for help, their ship is stuck in orbit and the escape pods containing colonists and supplies are scattered across the world. They form a coalition with one of the local peaceful alien species, the Mikwa, to help them fight back against an expansionist alien empire, the Fulgori. both Humans and Fulgori want the technology contained in the ruins of an ancient alien civilization. Humans hope it can help them help them repair or replace their ship. The Fulgori want it to further their military might.

As I mentioned earlier, it uses Savage Worlds Deluxe as a base and will build onto it with island/terrain generation rules and gear modification/crafting rules, as well as new Edges, Hindrances, Races, Gear, and a full bestiary. The game's focus will be on adventure and exploration. The core book and planned supplements will focus on wilderness survival in the environments and delving into those ancient structures.

We keep a weekly blog that updates with information on the setting, artwork, and concepts for things to come.

We're still early in production, so it's nowhere near ready to purchase, but we're hoping to be on Kickstarter in April, so we're pushing to raise as much awareness before then as we can.

I managed to get the cam shaft sensor and install it, and after that it ran fine, so I suppose that must have been the problem. I'm glad it didn't decide to suddenly stop running when I was out of the house.

I'm going to get a front-end alignment on tuesday, so that should hopefully end my car woes for now.

I need to seriously start thinking about getting a new car though. I just don't know how I'm going to do it. I'll be working off these commissions for a while, I'm gonna owe taxes in about a month and I don't know if taking a loan out is a good idea.

but whatever. Car troubles should hopefully be over, at least for a while.

The check engine light didn't come on today when I started it up and drove to an auto parts store to pull the error codes.

Arte told me that it's likely a cam sensor. I was getting ready to go drive to O'reilly's to get one, and my car decided it's not going to start. I'm going to wait for my dad to get home and then get him to take me up there so I can get one.

I hate this fucking car.

I want to drive it off of a cliff.

So, I got my car serviced yesterday. The repairs went just fine, he got it done nice and fast. I picked it up and went to Discount Tire to see about new tires. Turns out the car had basically had top-of-the-line tires put on it that shouldhave been fine for a couple of years, but because I was a dumbass and didn't get it realigned when I should have, it fucked up the tires, and their warranty covers everything except alignment damage.

Whatever. 300 dollars for a pair of new tires. I didn't want to go cheap on the tires because I live in Minnesota and I can't afford to not get traction when it gets icy. Not complaining about that.

Everything is going great. I drive a city over to pick everyone up for gaming, then head back to where we're meeting, everything is fine.

Get in the car and head home. A short while after I hit the road, my Engine Error light comes on. It's come on before but basically amounted to nothing. When it happened before, I'd called a dealership to ask if they had any idea what it could be, since they sell (and repair) PT cruisers. They told me that it was a catch-all. The error code it gave me just means "Something is wrong". so that's helpful.

I had resigned myself to taking it in to get it looked at, but a couple days later I got in it and the light didn't come on. I figured it was just a loose gas cap like some people had mentioned it could be.

This time, though, while I was on the highway, my car started like... sputtering. Like I'd hold down the accelerator consistently, but it would act as if I was pumping the gas pedal. It happened a couple of times on the way home, but now I'm scared and I don't know what to do.

I just threw down 1100 dollars on this damn car, 1100 dollars that I didn't have - that I still owe people for, and now there's immediately another problem. I feel like I might just need to get a new car, but I don't even know if that's viable. I don't know if I can sell this thing, or how much, and just.

Guh.

Anxiety.

I'm going to be doing a stream in a little bit to start working on the commissions I took a couple days ago.

I need to figure out what I'm going to do. Maybe take a look at some used cars and figure out how much money I need. Maybe take out a small loan. I dunno.

I finally had my car looked at today after it started shaking side to side whenever I would drive. I found out that the reason it’s shaking is because one of my tires is pretty much fucked. The treads on one side of the tire are tall and the other side are almost completely gone so it rocks the wheel side to side every time it goes around.

I found out that it’s doing that because my alignment is off. I found out my alignment can’t be fixed currently because my control arm bushings are completely shot. There’s no more rubber padding on them, so they need to be replaced.

Currently my car is at the Mechanic’s. I’m going to be picking it up tomorrow with some help from  triprat (He’s a real life saver), but I need to raise an extra 300+ dollars to actually pay for the repairs.

I really don’t like asking for donations, but I could really use some if you’re feeling especially generous. I’m going to be taking some emergency commissions to help with it as well.

I need, like, 10 sketch-level commissions or like 17 doodle-level commissions to have enough for the bushings, then I’m going to need apparently another $300 or $400 to replace the tires, since I was informed that they could burst if I “hit a pothole the right way”, and I live in minnesota, where our state animal is the Pothole.
