So I haven't "came out" as a furry to my parents, but I gave them a little hint. There is a furry meetup at a bowling alley about a half an hour away from me, so I decided to ask them about it. I said, "There is this meetup in Greenwood, and I was wondering if I could go." She said, "What kind?" So I said, "A little cosplay thing." She was like, "What's cosplay?" And I was wearing my wolf snood and said, "Like I'm doing now." And she said, "Dressing up as animals?" And I said yes.

This all seems like normal conversation and then she asked "Like adults?" I didn't know what to say, so I was like I don't know the age group. Then she said you are a bit old for that."

I'm 13


So great, I don't know how to "come out", because if she thinks a small meetup is for children that are six. Easily one of the most awkward moments of my life, and since I want to go to Indy Fur Con , which has about 1000 people in it, I'm gonna have to tell them.
This is a little rant just to say as a littler journal thing.
