5k View Kiriban Reward
Posted 4 years agoJust realised I'm only a little over 100 views from the 5000 milestone! I realise a lot of the views I've had are from years ago and my watchers have either moved accounts, are on hiatus or permanently abandoned FA, but I'd like to mark the 5k with whoever can catch the count nearest to the exact number, as long as it's over 5000 (so not 4999). Whoever gets it, drop me a ref sheet and I'll do a practice colour piece for you!
Nuked
Posted 4 years agoSo it transpires that I stopped uploading anything here back in 2015... But I've remained logged in since so I can view and read comics. I've recently started another degree which involves a lot of illustration and to make things easier, I got myself an entry level screen drawing tablet. It spurred me onto wanting to do digital art again, after over a decades break from it. I can't believe how much easier it is to do these days - it hasn't taken me long to adapt to, but the old version of PS I was using was so out of date and restrictive compared to how good free apps like Medibang and Autodesk Sketchbook are, it's like night and day. Drawing comics is especially easier; I've never felt fully comfortable with colouring comics as my ink work tends to be more geared towards a manga style (no matter how much I try other looks lol), but I would like to try and do a couple of small limited page comics over the next few months whenever I get the time.
Anyway, I've nuked all of my old artwork to Scraps rather than delete them entirely. I'm still using watercolours and markers for sketch work, but since no one is really commissioning badges anymore, I've not had much of an incentive to use them for furry art. I've also cleaned up my shouts and journals to make make a fresh start of sorts. I know I could always just make a new account, especially because I'm planning on drawing a lot more mature/adult work that doesn't fit with my previous style but for now I'm going to stick with this one. Depending on what happens with doing comics I might set up another.
