Hiding Comments/Pulling out? Blacklist?
Posted 7 years agoIt gets my hopes up when somebody comments asking for a commission slot or adopt and when I finally go to reply, the comment is gone. Yes, I remember who it is when it happens. Please be sure you want to commission me before you actually post your comment, there have been a weird amount of people commenting saying they want an adopt/commission lately and then taking forever to finally send their payment, if they do at all or just hiding their comment altogether. This is honestly getting on my nerves to the point that I may start blacklisting people that do this, even if it’s a first offense. I’m sorry if that sounds harsh but I’m trying to run a business and make money for the things I need. It’s nothing personal, and I don’t dislike the people that do this. Like I said, it just makes me feel like I’m being messed with or something since it’s happening so much lately. Thanks for understanding.

Change In Policy - Payment Time
Posted 7 years agoFrom now on I'll be shortening the time people have to pay their invoices. I think giving people ten days to pay allows them to forget (even sending reminders doesn't seem to do much) and they never end up paying. Sorry that the bad behavior of a few has to affect everyone. :\
Adoptable invoices will be given two days to pay and regular commissions will have four days to pay. It kind of messes up how I get to use my money if I have to hope somebody is going to pay their invoice on time.
I need you to pay your invoices on time or you'll be warned through a note first, then if it happens again, blacklisted/blocked. PLEASE don't commission me or adopt characters from me unless you're ready, with money in hand. And if you need time to pay, let me know BEFORE I've sent the invoice! Posted 8 years agoSOLD I've decided to sell my character Tyson the black bear as I don't connect with him anymore and the head is just sitting around my house. I'm selling the character AND the suit together so if you only want one, gift the head/tail to somebody who will refurbish it or let somebody adopt the character while you work on the head for your own character. DO NOT RE-SELL THIS HEAD, PLEASE! Not unless you've completely refurbished the head to make it wearable and comfortable for a customer. You MUST note me before you decide to re-sell it because I want to know who his new owner will be and what it looks like before it goes to the new owner.
Comes from a smoke-free home BUT I have cats and a dog and a bird. Please keep that in mind when buying! I'm not responsible for any allergic reactions you may have to my pets!

Includes:
-Tyson fursuit head, no eyes, built on balaclava base. This head was made around 2015.
-One pair of toony eyes made with plastic canvas and colored with paint markers. Unsealed.

-One salmon prop made of felt.
-One 12 in. black zipper.

Info about the head:
-One of the first balaclava heads I've ever made, therefore it's going to be a little wonky in places. There are seams that are still together but risk being popped if stressed due to hand-stitching everything.
-There is a large area on the back of the balaclava, inside of the head where I removed a large panel of foam so it would fit better so there is dried hot glue left there.
-Has clay teeth, hot glued in.
-There is a small spot on the left eyebrow where there is some cut fur where I removed the eyes.
-I've removed the old eyes but will include a pair ready to be glued on if you want them. I was going to refurbish the head but lost interest. Made with white plastic, plastic canvas (painted with paint markers, unsealed), black plastic canvas on the back of the colored part (for vision) and black fleece for the eyelids. You can see on the head and one of the eyes that I tried gluing it on and took it off so there's some glue on the back of that eyelid.
-On the front of the face, near the upper lip there is some fur that is a bit wonky from gluing it down crooked.
-The neck is pretty lousy looking and I tried making the pattern for it after I furred the head. It's very large. The zipper is included in case you want to try installing it in the back of the head (or use it for another project).
-There is no tongue, only a small velcro patch in the very back of the mouth. You could try to remove it or cover it or add another tongue to the spot with another piece of velcro.
-Ventilation isn't great and the eye holes are pretty small. Could probably be stretched out though. This is part of the reason I don't wear the head much anymore and tried refurbishing.
-There is a small spot on the nose where hot glue is visible between the fleece lining and vinyl of the nose.
-The head is now tighter on me since I've started growing my hair out but it's always been a little snug. I don't know any exact measurements but my head is about 23 in. around. Smaller heads fit better.
-There are a few hard spots on the inside where hot glue dried so you may feel it against your face. Another balaclava between your skin and the costume is recommended.

If you're going to review this head, you MUST link back to this journal outlining the things I listed as wrong with it. I will not be held responsible for you not reading the entirety of this journal and then being upset with me over a miscommunication or the head not living up to your expectations. I will state again that this was one of my first balaclava based heads and the quality will reflect that!
I made this as a personal piece to wear on my birthday and now that that's passed I want to let somebody else enjoy him. He is not professional quality whatsoever and there are flaws! If you're okay with all of this feel free to note me!

As for updates, we're moving again. Our living situation has become complicated.. For anyone that remembers my boyfriend's car/the garage getting broken into during the weekend of MFF, you'll know that the garage door wasn't fixed and it wasn't able to be locked after that. WELL, someone broke in two additional times after that and when we asked the landlord to do something about it, his grand idea was to put up a trash barricade to block robbers (and in turn, my boyfriend) and blast music from the garage (angering the neighbors, of course). Anyway, we're trying to find somewhere safe where we can be close enough to some stores for me to walk to and have all of our animals.

Posted 8 years agoHappy New Year everyone! I'm getting back into the swing of doing digital art regularly again and I recently started a Youtube channel for speedpaints and general art stuff. Instead of using my time this year working on fullsuits like I planned we're going to be focusing on starting an etsy and doing a lot of art/designs. I will of course be finishing modifications on the base for that I have right now and possibly finishing up the crow/gryphon head I'm working on. But I already have the black fur and vinyl for that so I wouldn't be worrying about ordering anything.
As for the store we're thinking of selling art prints, buttons/pins, stickers, custom sketchbooks and more depending on what people are interested in. I'm also really hoping to get a table at an anime con and possibly MFF next year to sell some stuff!

6 Months On T!
Posted 9 years agoHaven't made a T update in a while but things are going well. Lots of hair, my legs and belly are getting hairier every time I look at them. My voice is consistently deep and not really cracking much unless I get really excited and loud lol. It's really hard to find a voice to sing in now. My face is really different looking, like more square. My chest/shoulders/arms are getting broader, I went in for my six month check up and my doctor thought I'd had top surgery. I'm letting my hair grow out too. I think I've already mentioned in another journal that I got glasses. I can totally feel the beginning of an Adam's apple.

Yesterday was my birthday!
Posted 9 years agoI turned 23 yesterday! Allen and I got to see for an awesome day at Brookfield Zoo (where we got to pet and feed goats!) followed by dinner at Portillo's. We also celebrated with family by eating at Rolls and Bowls (they're great, if there's one near you and you like sushi you should check them out). I got a bunch of awesome movies and star wars stuff and a really cute tapir stuffed animal at the zoo because it was like, the one animal that wasn't out that day that I really wanted to see. :P I'm also about 4 months on T (I think) so I'll probably be doing an update here soon. Posted 9 years agoGoing to my 3 month check up on the 15th! I'm pretty sure my voice has dropped again, my throat feels really tight and like there's a lump in my throat. I was recently sick with a sinus infection and was coughing like crazy and found that the only way I could feel like I was getting anything out of my lungs was to lower my voice when I coughed? It feels way different when I cough in general too, if that makes sense. My stomach and legs are getting more and darker hair, my facial hair is still coming in (getting blonde and black hairs, I think the blonde ones are getting darker too though, idk). My face is getting thinner and I'm losing weight and putting on muscle still. I get really, really hot after every shot like, consistently now. It's really hard to take naps and not wake up boiling anymore lol. Sex drive is going up every month it seems. I can't wait as long as I used to be able to wait between meals anymore, I get really hungry really often. Sooo much energy, I can run on a treadmill at the gym now and don't get as tired lifting anymore. I'm even finding that some of my clothes don't fit me as well. :P

I was able to get my fee waived and I have a hearing on June 23 (six days before my birthday) for the 'name change petition' to be granted. :3 I just have to order a new 'long form' of my birth certificate because apparently they don't accept the small one my mom got when I was a kid? I dk. Everyone was super nice, they offered us donuts like four times it was so sweet. OH and we met the most awesome lady there, she's also trans and we ended up having our hearing on the same day (hers is right before mine) so we get to see her again. :D
Either way it's happening! Oh, and the gender marker on my ID and everything else will be changed too, I just need a 'letter of safe passage' from my doctor (who helped me get my T prescription). This is all turning out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be.
If you're in the Chicago area and are looking to get your Legal Name Change and GM taken care of you should definitely have the Transformative Justice Law Project help you. They filled out almost all of the paper work (which is great, because I didn't have to keep writing my dead name over and over) and they talk to the judge for you and everything. It really is helpful and everyone is genuinely caring and wants to help. :) Note me if you need more info!
