Finally got a job, relocating, and general update!
Posted 6 years agoOk so it’s been a super busy month for me and I haven’t been able to do much practice, so here’s what’s going on.
I finally got a job! I’m actually super nervous about it since I kinda actually got my wish. I’m literally right now on a cross country road trip to California cuz I ACTUALLY GOT A JOB IN THE BAY AREA! I’m literally moving across the country to a place where I don’t know anyone so if anyone here has some suggestions I’d love to here it. I’m gonna be either in Contra Costa County or Sonoma county, though it’s looking like Santa Rosa. It’s still expensive but it’s much cheaper than San Francisco proper and not totally gentrified beyond recognition (yet) so it’s doable with my starting salary. I’m actually really nervous about this so I hope it works out.
Once I’m settled in an apartment I’ll be able to get back to the gym and hopefully back to art practice!
Wish me luck guys. I’m gonna need it.

Requests and stuff
Posted 6 years agoHey so I am taking requests. You don’t have my permission to post a requested pic on your profile unless I state otherwise. I’ve gotten a few requests from friends I’ll be working on this month, but if anyone decides to com me they get priority. These requests include some stuff I’ve not tried before, one of which is going to have an emaciated build and one of which is feral. Not promising they’ll turn out well but I’ll give it a shot.
My first Comission and comission info
Posted 6 years agoSo I've actually done my first commission which I guess technically makes me a professional artist. thanks to
coldgemini for the omission and his lovely character Gino for giving me something new to draw.
Here's the game plan
Line art: $10
Flat color: $15
Shading: $25
Things I plan on specializing in:
R34
Muscle
TF
Rubber/Latex/Goo
Hypnosis/MC/Possession
Null/Chastity
I'm currently very unpracticed with TF, Rubber, latex, goo, and the like, so I wouldn't recommend commissioning that quite yet, give me another month or so of practice. If you really insist I can give it a shot, but buyer beware for now.
Things I won't draw:
Vore*
Death*
Gore
Scat
Watersports
Gasplay
Scentplay
Torture
Cub
***** Exceptions include absorption vore and identity death (mc, brainwashing, possession, and such).
I'm not setting up a patreon just yet. I don't really consider myself practiced enough to be able to offer anything in particular for patreon benefits, so I'm not going to do it yet. In the future, maybe, but not now.
Also, if anyone know of any geology jobs on the west coast hmu. Still job hunting.

Turns out construction shapes are good + Job Search
Posted 6 years agoand that artists know what they're talking about.
I'd been just free sketching more or less without construction shapes, but shits a lot easier when you actually use them. Saves me a ton of time on sketching and actually really helps make your art look better. Cannot recommend enough to actually listen to artists. I tried doing my own bs unique construction shapes but they didn't really work. I might revisit that concept when I'm better, but generic construction shapes for now!
Hopefully I'll be able to meet my March quota and get more and better art out there!
ALSO if anyone happens to know any geology jobs in California, especially the bay area, lemme know. It's a dream of mine to move there bow that I've graduated.

Everything I knew was a lie! (Also commissions I guess)
Posted 6 years agoSo I asked for advice from a ton of artists I follow and holy hell I learned a lot. Apparently I’ve been doing cel-Shading wrong my whole life but whatever it’s fixed now and my art is already looking better.
Also if anyone wanted I guess I can take commissions? 10$ for line art, 15 for flat color, 25 for shading. I’d usually charge less, but seriously I’ve put literally hundreds of hours and several months into developing these skills so that’s gotta be worth something. Really put into perspective how much work artists have to do to develop these skills. Also no backgrounds since I’m not practiced enough in them yet.

Posted 6 years agoFirst piece(s) up
Posted 6 years agoPublished my rocket Raccoon piece I’d been working on in my main page while my Wrex/Grunt WIP is currently in scraps while I finish it. Comments and advice are welcome of course. I did say my resolution was to start posting art so here we go. Ive been practicing for over half a year so I guess it’s time to get serious.
New Years Resolutions
Posted 6 years agoWell nerds, now that I’ve finally graduated and have some time I’ve decided I’m going to try and start posting art I actually draw here. I’ve been practicing hard core since June/July and I think I’m about ready to make my first few attempts at art I’ve drawn myself rather than copying other artists. I’ll be posting some here hopefully starting this month, the first theme I’m going for likely being Pokémon Gyms, where I’m going to attempt to be drawing various Pokémon (and potentially other r34 characters) working out at a gym. I’ve been practicing muscles and art for a while so we’ll see how it goes and feedback will be welcome. Should be nice practice at the least and I’ll finally be able to contribute some original content.
My current plan is that I’m going to do the line work in pencil on paper, and then scan it somehow and do the coloring, detailing, and editing on my iPad using procreate. Should go well I hope! Pokémon are “simple to medium” on line detailing since they’re meant to be animated, so that should let me do this and add my own extra detail while not overwhelming myself. That being said, I’m gonna be mostly staying on model.
As a quick aside, I’m not taking requests yet or anything, but we’ll see what happens as I improve.
In the meantime, I’m officially a geologist now so the job hunt begins! I’m hoping to get out of the middle of nowhere as soon as I can get a job in my field. I’ll akso be working on my other resolutions, which will be to up my bench press weight to 200 pounds (currently I’m at 5 sets of 5 reps of 150lbs, followed by 5 sets of 5 reps of 135lbs). I’ll akso be upping my other fitness goals as well, though I have nothing concrete as a set goal (currently I can squat 325, or do 1000 squats in 200 squat intervals, run a sub 30 minute 5K once I work off the holiday weight. Im also hoping to up my curls to get back to 40 pounds and hopefully I can get up to 50. Triceps are a bit tougher depending on the exercise, but I’m hoping to get similar levels in increase. I already can do 50 pull-ups in increments of 10 at around 200lbs, so I’m hoping to up that as I lose some of my holiday and bulk weight while increasing my vertical pull ups up to 150 from 125 among other fitness goals). With any luck all this works out. It’s looking to be a pretty ambitious year, so we’ll see how it go’s.

Last Semester at College (I hope)
Posted 7 years agoWell this week marks the start of my last semester at college. Drawing practice might drop a little, but I'm hoping that it'll be worth it and I can finally graduate and move out of Indiana. I'll be trying to draw in my free time and I'm still hoping to be confident enough to start doing stuff by MFF.
In other news I managed to get a commission from Kiryu, so here's hoping that turns out well!
Also thanks to all the artists I contacted who gave me drawing advice! I really appreciate it!

Bara anatomy help request!
Posted 7 years agoHeya everyone who actually watches and/or reads these!
I've been practicing profiles and head shots every day for about 20-60 minutes a day for the last 2 months to practice my line work. I'm looking to move on to practicing anatomy and body sketches next! I'm a huge fan of the Bara aesthetic, but most anatomy practice I've seen has more realistic body proportions, so if anyone has any good resources or advice so I can get good at drawing bara bodies, I'd really appreciate it <3

Does anyone actually read these?
Posted 7 years agoWell, finally back to getting some commissions. Updated all my info to be current. Agh college keeps you so busy but this fall is my last semester. Been practicing 20 minutes to an hour for drawing every day! Finally can bench up to 8 reps of 135 pounds and squat 12 reps of 300 pounds. Ran my first 5k, but the summer got me sloppy in my diet so I've gained some weight which should be back off for mff. Bulking ugh.
Anyway, finally gonna work on getting more involved this year and gonna be attending and volunteering at MFF2018.
Does anyone actually read these? I've never bothered to much, but idk about other people :p
