COMMS Delay/IRL thing
Posted a year agoIll be brief, Im running slow on my current queue of commissions. For that I can only apologize for my tardiness and health causing delays.
I also will not be able to take commissions in the coming months due to something IRL that will be eating up some time legally near end of september.

Posted a year agoThe conversations were short and scattered over our time of knowing each other on an online aquiantanceship, damn spelling, but you were friendly and we had fun talks. The head of the pack liking my work. It was a real honour. Thank you for the pages of your story I had the priviledge of being written in.

The Latest Love you all have given me has absolutely shot my self esteem to the highest its been in years.
I wasnt always a good boi, infact a few years ago I was a mongrel. I was; snappy, egotistical, depressed, I lashed out when my emotions were bad, I caused terrible scenes, and I did this for years.
While there were many friends I still have today, I lost many due to my own anger and emotions and self loathing. I didnt even like my own art. I regret the bridges Ive burned and I regret my past failures in letting my emotions and neurodivergency get the better of me but end of 2023, the last few months of that year have been a complete turn around.
I got counseling.
I finally found medications that have helped me body and spirit.
I even started drawing again and have been on a non stop streak.
I some how, and better at all than never, found that headspace Ive been searching for and am sorta finally moving in metaphorically. I hope to stay here a long time.
You all these past months have been amazing. <3
I am forever grateful.

Slowly and Steadily coming back
Posted 2 years agoIt's been a while everyone. Thanks for stickin with me for so very long. I am working on new pieces recently in the past month as I have finally managed to get my mental health more sorted and finally at 33 years old, Im in a happy mental place.
So I started drawing again, and then offered to draw for folks for tips, and got such strong support that I have been able to re-define what I wanna do business with in my artwork.
The generosity and the caring words has been unreal, and ive been able to give all my proceeds to me mum for all the help she's given me.

As always I wanna open up by giving my sincere thanks and gratitude for all of you whom are with me and have been with me over the many years. Between fans and friends, Im still breathing and a big portion is thanks to you guys.
First major thing I wanna post as an update, I moved! Me and the family found an amazing house in a neat little town in Wisconsin (Sorry Vikings fans) and have been settled in for a week or two now. It put a bit of a slowed and stressed pace on me on the weeks leading up and the week or so afterwards but I got through it. Im working hard with out a job, to spend as much time as I can on my artwork and my entertainment skills.
Major thing about that? MORE STREAMS! Between being settled and now having a stable internet (Thank you Spectrum) I can now get back into the field that I feel I really flourished in and that was art streaming. Thanks to Picarto's change in policy a long ways back, I can add gaming to that and there are a hand full of games I plan to play and Rage Quit to. So stay tuned to that.
Second big thing, the ugly F word of finances. My prices will be experiencing a shift and an increase soon, I want this to be a FAIR and UPFRONT notice so no one goes, BY GAWD.
Ive started getting the calls on my bills from debt collectors and that's no ones fault but my own. I dont ask for free money on principle even in hardest times, so that means that even though my prices will go up, my commission slots and quality of work will increase as well. Instead of doing my best to give the best quality I can, Im gonna push above and beyond that. Ive broken my artistic comfort zones before and dammit I intend to do so again!
Another big announcement is that once I can get back on my feet, I have a pet project I will be going into as well called OGPW (Omniversal Grand Prix Wrestling) which will be a comic I plan to make in a format and style i have been privately tinkering with here and there and I think Im ready to start working on a pilot edition.
That being said and what it means for you guys; A. I will be approaching some of you to request permission to enlist your OC in the roster, and B. I will be holding auditions for folks that want to try out for the OGPW League. There will be more information once I get that going and get back on my financial two feet, so stay tuned.
Finally, a bit of comedy. For those of you that have seen me IRL or pics of me IRL, well now pics will make me look like a Hockey Player or Chris Benoit. During the move I was carrying some heavy metal frames for beds and such, and when I went to set them down, I thought "SURELY! This spot on our floor, propped against the wall will be enough to hold them steady!" Boy was I wrong as one of the bed frame sections slid, and the little smooth foot/leg of it used to keep the bed off the floor, swung down and caught me in the mouth lol. While I am 100% fine, A tooth of mine has departed into the great beyond as it was knocked from my face. Didnt hurt, more just shocked me a bit but hey! We roll with the punches.

So I have a few new small updates for this journal. FIRST THINGS FIRST!
*I HAVE UPDATED MY ARTISTS OF THE MOMENT!*
Second of all I have changed the status of my commissions to open as well as updated my current commissions information on my FA tab here.
Third. The owner of the home I live at with my family has decided to sell. At this time because I am unemployed, I will have a greater abundance of time for working on art,
but know that there may be delays because I either have to leave during a showing, or because of packing. I have no information as to when the house will sell or if we are even going to be forced out. I will let you all know though that I will be okay during all this.

I was just wondering; I may have found a reasonable method to switch from flat commission rates, over to hourly commission rates which would allow me less restraint on what I put out and an easier flow of time for the pieces. With that said I am very curious as to what you all would honestly consider an hourly rate that you would be willing to pay?
Please note I not only am going to take all input to heart but also save every single response I get so I can do the mathematics and ratios in order to average out and offer the best price for both myself and more importantly all of you that want more of my work.

UPDATES FOR DECEMBER!
Posted 8 years agoHey everyone!!
There's been quite a few changes lately in these past few days over the half of the month of december. First the obvious one I posted earlier about my birfday!! Well there is an addendum to that that's a surprise.
Secondly I finally got the balls to take a look at the job I was at, and all the better paths that were passing me by, and I wrote up a letter to my bosses and walked out. Even a punching bag like me has some wear and tear limits and when it got to the point that these people were planning to charge me with sexual harassment charges over textmessages that didnt exist and yet even though they felt uncomfortable, they never went to the boss, or called the cops.
So that shit is behind me. Im done spending my nights suffering and being furious after every shift. I used to love that job and now we're past that. I got a tremendous amount of love for well wishes from my customers whom were the main reason I stayed so long and majority of them knew what was going down but just wanted to see me get out.
I felt immediately better.
Finally, I have a new job already lined up and the time in between will give me a chance to make more art! So far so good, the year is ending strangely positive for me.
