To all my friends and followers, over the past four years, I have managed to crank out at least one chapter of my "Survival of the Fittest" Pokemorph fanfic every week, and tonight we've reached the grand conclusion. Note, this is not the end. This is merely a "season finale", if you will. This has been a lot of time and effort and work, and I appreciate the chance to take a well-deserved break before beginning work on "Sophomore Year". In the meantime, however, I would like to thank each and every one of my readers for reading and commenting, and just generally enjoying my work. Additionally, MASSIVE thank yous to  skidd,  phuufy,  avencri and  upstairstudios for all the hard work they did on art that helped bring this story to life, along with quite a few other artists that contributed as well (albeit on a far less frequent basis, since none of them have been willing to break their hands drawing like poor Skidd has). "Survival of the Fittest" all started when I got my first real job and had some extra income with which to commission some artwork of my favorite Pokemon. But once I had those pictures, I didn't feel satisfied just having pictures of characters. I wanted to develop them and give them depth and personalities. And the end result is the story I hope you've all enjoyed, even though it got dark at times.

Trust me, I'm well aware of the darkness. Not to get political, because I don't really like talking politics in a forum like this (FA shouldn't have to deal with the red vs. blue divide), but about halfway through the writing of SotF, I started to have severe misgivings about some of the situations I put my characters into. This was around the time where we had Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court, and that just dredged up some stuff from my personal life (NOTHING that happened to me. This isn't a cry for help or anything like that.) Long story short, I started to feel uncomfortable, having created a world for these characters where they existed solely to suffer, often times in a sexual manner. So my solution to these feelings was to add an extra level of disconnect between myself and the story. This doesn't change anything about the story itself. That's the same regardless. But, in my headcanon, rather than "Survival of the Fittest" just being a story in our world, it instead takes place within a fictional world of my creation, where it is a television show on the Pokeverse equivalent of HBO or something. Basically, instead of Lavender Evans being captured and humiliated for human gain, an Espeon ACTRESS is playing the CHARACTER of Lavender Evans in that situation. The story is still the same, but it just helps me sleep a little better at night is all.

That's all I really have to say. I might, at some point during the downtime, post pictures of the individual characters and allow for a little Q&A with the actors/actresses, just to provide a little extra content. I turned thirty today and I remain a pure and innocent flower, so where are the magical Hogwarts powers the internet promised me?!

Today I turn twenty-nine. One year left before the big 3-0. That's a bad thought...oh well, that's still a year away, so let's just celebrate today instead!

Well, four days ago, but the thought still counts! It's been a year since I posted the first chapter of my Pokemorph story: Survival of the Fittest, and since that time, my gallery has literally blown up with all the pictures and chapters and whatnot. I'd like to thank everyone who watches me for doing so, and I'd like to thank all my readers for keeping my spirit up to continue this story. To those who watch me and haven't yet begun to read Survival of the Fittest, the first chapter is here!

Also, it is important to note that I recently reorganized my gallery folders, so just get acclimated to that if you're used to stuff being in a certain place.

But I'm 28 years old today!

Not much to say here. I'm finally older than Mira (the character), but still younger than Tracy.

It's been a long road, starting way back in 2003 when Massachusetts took the first steps, and today we as a nation can finally say that we've accomplished another breakthrough in civil rights. Gay marriage is officially 100% legal in all fifty states! There're still gonna be assholes who speak out and insult the decision, but who gives a fuck? People did worse during the Civil Rights' Era of the 60s, and our country is still standing (with some issues, but baby steps...) To all my friends and followers in the LGBT community, congratulations. I hope this inspires some other countries to follow suit.

One last time, say it with me: Fuck. Yes.

No, not me, But April 19th is the date I set for Mira's birthday, and this is the first time I've actually had a date on which to celebrate. Mira may not be as old as Tracy and Ginny, who are both eighteen, but in terms of her creation, Mira's around 10 or 11 years old herself. So yay, more reasons for unnecessary journaling!

I almost forgot to do this, but I've still got 30 minutes to make this relevant in the East Coast Timezone (yes, she's Australian so it's already April 1st there, shut up). But yeah, happy birthday to one of the first characters I ever created, and one of my main fursonas, Tracy Mombaro. No real change in age since she's fictional, but that makes an unofficial 18th birthday as a creation, so yay for that!

P.S. I know people have real problems and this journal is kinda frivolous, but hell, I never post journals, so why not do it once and have fun (and maybe for a few other characters in the coming months >_>).
