Posted 2 days agoThe hamster is back from EF and it was a great mix of stress and fun!
The weeks leading to the con have been a mess in my real life. Still struggeling with severe mood swings and depression and losing my heart rat Amy didn't help with that at all. Two days before EF I was about to cancel it all because life simply seemed to be too much. I forced myself to go, just to take a break from my everyday problems and it was a good decision.
Spending some time with my dear

Keksfrosch helped a lot and I can't thank them enough for their support!
Anyways, enough with the negative things!
Thanks to Asche I was able to get a tiny table in the Dealer's Den which really reduced my overall stress! It was cramped but the spot was nice and I got to know
chubby-shark who's an amazing artist and a very nice person to have as a table neighbour!
I would have loved to spend some more time with my good friend
dolphiana but those hours we had to chat and catch up were great! :D
After feeling down for so long, it felt good to meet so many of you guys again and talk to you, even if it was just a quick chat! Getting positive feedback for my art is still not easy to accept but all those reactions were so genuine that it made me very happy. I can't express my gratitude for being so kind!
I would love to give a shoutout to every single person that made this convention great for me but I'm afraid I might miss somebody ^^;
So let me just say: Thanks for talking to me, buying silly stuff at my tiny table, commissioning me and bidding on my art show pieces! I very much appreciate you all!
Now I'll be working on curing my con crud and I hope to be accepted for the Dealer's Den at Nordicfuzzcon next year!

Eurofurence is getting closer, so here's some info for those who are interested ;)
I didn't get a table in the dealer's den this year but since the con is rather close to home, I'll try to get a table in the artist alley every day.
I'll also have some panels in the art show (regular and NSFW), so have a look at some traditional originals!

Someone on Discord stole my avatar and tried to impersonate me to scam others out of their money. By now they seem to have switched identity again and were reported but please be aware!
Just a quick info in general:
- 95% of my commission communication happens through FA
- I only use Telegram while I'm at conventions
- I only use Discord for commission work if YOU ask me to!
No matter which paltform, should there ever be any doubt in a communication with me, please reach out for me through this account and let me know if you're contacted by any suspicious accounts so I'm aware of it.

It's that time of the year...
Posted 10 months agoThe purple hamster was in hiding again.
The flu I caught at Eurofurence turned out to be Covid, which was annoying but rather mild. Had to stay home for a week and all was okay again.
But somehow, during that one week, my mind dropped into a depression again. I haven't been very stable this whole year, so it's no big surprise but after a few weeks it turned into the real thing. =/
Mood swings, sadness, no energy to get out of bed at all... at least the self-harm/suicidal tendencies weren't as severe, which is a good thing.
It's no help that things are getting busy at work, now that Christmas is coming up. I still need more time to relax and calm my nerves than I'm used to and there are still days I can't manage to get things done at all. But at least there are days that I'm able to work on art related things. As long as people tell me what to draw, I can do that, but my own creativity is more or less dead right now and I can't wait for this to change!
Anyways... enough of the negative things!
I just uploaded this year's advent calendar and I'm really looking foreward to working on it! Seeing how happy people are about their little gifts makes me happy in return and I could use some happiness right now! =3
Next thing on my list will be NordicFuzzCon. I got a spot in the Dealer's Den, so I'd like to get some new prints and merch done until then.
Also I'll start taking pre-orders for themed badge commissions once the first samples are done.
There are more things I'm planning but for now I'll have to take little hamster steps until my mind is more stable again.

Back from Eurofurence

It was an exhausting time but in a positive way. Looks like I got a flu as an extra gift but it was worth it!
Seeing all you guys again was great and I'm so grateful for all the positive feedback I got. You all are too kind ><

These conventions are a lot of work but I'm happy about it and it strenghtens my mental health, so I'm thinking about adding one or two more to my annual schedule.
Next one will be Nordic Fuzz Con in February. I hope to get a table in the dealer's den, so fingers crossed!
For now, I'll take a few days to rest and recover a bit and then it's finally time to get back to my regualr work and a few upcoming projects.
Soon it will be time for my Advent Calendar again, because I'd like to get most of it done before Christmas season starts at work.. ><
Also I'm working on a comic project with the amazing kaynkayn I don't want to say too much about it before it's done but it will include sexy space porn and hot werewolf sex ;)

Back from my "vacation" -_-

My vacation was nice in concept but very bad in execution, because I got sick on my first day off. Yays....
So I spent all week sleeping and drawing Art Fight stuff. Sounds kinda nice but with coughing, sneezing and all that it was rather exhausting >_<
Today was my first day at work and after about one hour, I realised that I'm still too sick to do anything... which annoys me beyond words!
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I'm back but I'll be a bit slow, at least this week. Hope to be able to work on some commissions but it depends on my concentration.

Vacation!

I spent the first week of my vacation, doing some commission work but since my mind is a clusterfuck, I couldn't relax like that.

Quick little update from the tired hamster.
I'm happy to announce that I got a table in the dealer's den at Eurofurence this year. Some of my very close friends are going to join me, so I'm really looking foreward to it! I'm trying to get a panel in the art show as well to offer some new originals but that's not final.
Besides that, a lot of my time will be going into finishing a NSFW manga for a small anthology and there'll be a little break for the Art Fight.
Currently I'm recovering from another mental breakdown. I'm taking more meds again, building up my resilience and trying to get my life back on track.
It always starts to crumble at the edge and then I lose my grip completely... *sigh*
I'm not fine at the moment but a bit more stable than I was over the past three months, so I guess that's a good thing.

Plans for 2024

Hope you all had a good start into 2024!
I spent the first two weeks taking a break from the busy Christmas time at work and to cure a pretty annoying bronchitis.
Now I'm starting to get back into my artistic workflow... or at least I'm trying ;)
Last year was pretty meh, when it comes to artistic work and I really want to change that in 2024. Some things that are already planned for this year:
Starting to offer commissions again
I rarely took any commissions at all last year, due to some mental health issues but I want to start taking new ones soon. Still have some things to finish but then I'll open some slots.
Conventions
So far I can confirm that I'll be attending Nordicfuzzcon next month but only in the artist alley because I didn't get a table in the dealer's den. But I'll be there!
Dokomi and Eurofurence are also planned, so let's hope the best! =3
Comic project
I was asked if I wanted to draw something for a comic anthology that's going to be published, so of course I couldn't resist. I won't go into details yet but it's going to be a gay vampire/werewolf story ;)
One sketch a day
Did this challenge a few years ago and decided to do it again this year. It's a themed sketchbook again and this year it's "Nocturne" our Vampire the Masquerade chronicle. I spent the first two weeks taking a break from the busy Christmas time at work and to cure a pretty annoying bronchitis.
Now I'm starting to get back into my artistic workflow... or at least I'm trying ;)
Last year was pretty meh, when it comes to artistic work and I really want to change that in 2024. Some things that are already planned for this year:
Starting to offer commissions again
I rarely took any commissions at all last year, due to some mental health issues but I want to start taking new ones soon. Still have some things to finish but then I'll open some slots.
Conventions
So far I can confirm that I'll be attending Nordicfuzzcon next month but only in the artist alley because I didn't get a table in the dealer's den. But I'll be there!
Dokomi and Eurofurence are also planned, so let's hope the best! =3
Comic project
I was asked if I wanted to draw something for a comic anthology that's going to be published, so of course I couldn't resist. I won't go into details yet but it's going to be a gay vampire/werewolf story ;)
One sketch a day
Did this challenge a few years ago and decided to do it again this year. It's a themed sketchbook again and this year it's "Nocturne" our Vampire the Masquerade chronicle. Quick question for October
Posted 2 years agoOctober and Halloween are coming and I'd really like to do one or two little themed commissions or YCHs.
You all know that decisions are very hard, so I'd like to ask you which of the following things would be interesting for you to see:
Option A:
Halloween themed art - Something cute, something funny or mildly spooky. I alsow have some old sketches of potential Halloween adopts lying around....
Option B:
Gortetober - I won't have the time to do the whole challende but I was thinking about offering some prompts as commissions
Option C:
Kinktober - Same as with the Goretober, I don't have enough time but doing some prompt commissions could be fun
Option D:
Rattober - Since drawing ratties is fun I was thinking about doing some rat-themed commissions like turning your character into a chaos potato or YCHs with added rats
I'll come up with something but I'm very curious where your interests lie.

Currently I'm still insecure, when it comes to full illustrations, so I'd like to take another small step.
I'm taking two artistic freedom portrait commissions, 50€ per slot
A small (1000x1400pixel) portrait/bust of one character with a simple nature background. The amount of detail and shading depends on the character's design.
Additional info:
!Artistic Freedom! - You can give me an expression/mood/idea for the picture but the pose and details are up to me
- no wips; done in one step
Just leave a comment or send a note if you're interested

Things are changing

Some of you may have noticed that since last September, things kinda went downhill for me. I fell into a very long and exhausting depression and simply stopped caring about anything.
Everything felt pointless, especially putting any effort in my art. I felt tired and worthless.
I started taking my medication again and since late Januray, at least my anxiety got better. Still, I didn't care about anything.
In February I attended NFC, my first con since 2020 and I went there without any expectations and without preparation. It turned out to be a great time! (Ignoring the fact that I got Covid afterwards :P)
I met some cool artists, people I haven't met in years and had a wonderful time with my friends.
Thanks to everybody who stopped at my table in the dealer's den to buy something or just to be nice! You really cheered me up a lot!
After all these months of thinking about how to motivate myself and to start doing things again, I came to the point where I decided that things had to change.
I'm turning 40 in a few weeks and most of my life I tried to please others, setting back my own needs because of what others may think.
I don't want this anymore, at least when it comes to my creativity.
So I'm in the process of changing things.
My goal is to start over in May.
- I'm planning to update my Patreon and to upload more art there
- I'll change my commission process in general
- My fursona will change a bit
I'm aware that some of these changes might cost me followers and stuff but I realised that I simply don't want to care about weird numbers on the internet. I'd like to have some fun and do things that make me happy.

Status Update
Posted 3 years agoSo here's an update on why I wasn't around much lately:
A lot of sad and stressful things happened in my life last month and I didn't have a lot of things that kept me going.
My day job is currently a dumpster fire and the weeks before Christmas are never fun, working retail!
I mentioned in my last journal that my rats needed to have surgery and sadly Fluse passed away later that day. Fee is still recovering and had to deal with some complications, so we had to visit the vet a lot lately. It's getting better but she still needs treatment.
Last week my grandpa passed away. It wasn't unexpected but it's still sad.
I needed a while to find a way to deal with those things. I'm still not fully done with it but I feel like I have found a rough way to go from here.
Quick info about commissions:
The advent calendar commissions are all done and since my mind is calmer now, I'm picking up where I left, finishing the remaining ones.

Things are still weird...
Posted 3 years agoLet's have some good news first: I think it's rather safe to say that my recent depression has passed. Yays!
Sadly there are a few other things I'm not so happy about.
What stresses me most is the fact that two of my rats need to have surgery tomorrow. They're both two years old and one of them had to have surgery before, so I know that she has a problem with anesthetics. That's enough reason for me to be worried... =/
There are some other things too and that combined pile of problems causes additional stress too...
All I want to say is:
I'm working on my commission/Patreon/raffle stuff but in a rather weird and unorganized way... ><
I'm pretty sure that it's going to take a while for me to get back on track, so please bear with me.

One of those phases again
Posted 3 years agoI just wanted to let you know that I'm stuck in a depressive phase again. It's been about a week now and I'm still not quite sure about how long and severe it's going to be.
At home my anxiety is annoying but I can manage it but as soon as I leave the house it goes through the roof... This means that I'll have to take my sedative drugs to be able to go to work aaand this means that I'll be even more tired than I already am.
My mood keeps changing every day, my mind is all over the place and I feel unable to maintain any personal contacts. Answering comments and commission related stuff still works at the moment.
It's the same stupid shit all over again. Nothing I do is good enough, I don't deserve happiness, I'm a disappointment.....
I know that those thoughts aren't helpful and I know they aren't true... but at the moment it feels like they are.
This phase will end, I just have to hold out... but at the moment it just sucks!
I know that this isn't a very interesting journal but sometimes it helps me a bit to write it all down and in case it gets worse and my anxiety fully forces me to isolate myself again, you know why.

Since October is coming up, I was thinking about offering some spooky themed commissions.
Maybe a tamer and shorter version of Goretober or a little Spooktober.... A list with prompts and you guys can pick which one you'd like to have....
