Update on pretty much everything!

You may have noticed that I am not very active as of right now. This is mainly because of me starting college, which is taking up the vast majority of my time. Unfortunately, I don't have too much time to draw because of how much work I have. ;w; I'm a music education major (though I'm technically not even in the school of music yet, but I sort of am... it's complicated) and right now I'm swamped with work. I'm taking the most number of credit hours that the school will let me (eighteen) and even more than that because of extracurricular ensembles!
Plus, my lessons with the associate professor of trombone only count for two credit hours, which means I should be spending around two hours practicing per week, and usually I average about six just for those lessons, and around ten or twelve hours total in the practice room per week... Which means that I'm taking more or less around twenty four to twenty six credit hours! It's rough, basically.
I have done some art stuff though! I have a piece or two to post here soon enough, and in addition to that I have created some advertisements for the extracurricular ensemble that I'm in, Video Game Ensemble! We play video game soundtracks and it's fucking awesome. I created two different advertisements for that group, and in addition to that I created my section's t-shirt for marching band this year. It's pretty great.
But yeah uh, basically that's my life right now. Busy busy busy busy, to the extent that I'm worried about my health. ;w; I've only been eating an average of one or two times a day and have been regularly getting five to six hours or less of sleep every night which is not enough. Anyone down for some roleplaying?
Posted 9 years agoLong story short, I've wanted to roleplay sensibly with someone for a long time now, it's something I enjoyed very much a few years ago. I thought I finally had arranged with someone to roleplay after searching for a long time, but I don't anymore. So, if anyone wants to do something with me, let me know.
I am NOT interested in doing sexual roleplays. I want something nice, simple, and innocent. Sweet, stupid romance would be nice, but nothing sexual. I'm not in the mental health to be doing that right now.
I'd also like to get to know you as a friend before we do anything. I want someone I can be friends with and talk to and confide in and trust as well as have a great, literate roleplay with.

Update on things
Posted 10 years agoSo I figured I might as well take this time to give you all an update on me and what's happening with my art and stuff.
I'm still limited to a mere four hours every day, which just isn't long enough for me to doodle around and actually get something done. I'm still very new to digital art, and even newer to anthro. I've been doodling aimlessly in traditional medium, but it hasn't been enough to actually convert those drawings over to digital. I'll try my best to do something with it soon, but right now it's hard to spend all my precious little time on the computer on one thing. I hope that I can get some time added for Christmas or something. I sincerely apologize to those who watch me. I'll try my best to continue to produce art.
As for other things, I have applied to colleges. Woo, fun stuff. xD;;
I also auditioned for the drum and bugle corps, Carolina Crown. I did fairly decent, but because of school and other reasons, I can't continue the process of auditioning this year. Next year, though... That's a different story. :P
Hmm... I dunno about anything else that pertains to me. I haven't gotten any new hobbies or anything to talk about so... Eh. Whatever. xD

New profile view update?
Posted 10 years agoHm. So apparently FA decided to update the way that profile pages look on the new beta layout. o^o
Honestly, I kinda like it! Now the profile ID doesn't shove the writing on the profile off to the side anymore, and it also allows you to see the favorites right from the profile, instead of having to click a tab to view them. Which is kinda nice, to be honest. It's how I used to discover a lot of art. Now I can finally get back into that again. :D
Other than that, I think they only major thing they need to fix is the "personal info" section thing. If the text exceeds more than one line of the box, then it gets put all the way over to the left, which makes it look a little bit awkward and hard to read. It's very scrunched up together. But you know. :P

I'm back. Finally. I got access to my computer back today!
But... There's a catch.
I'm restricted to only four hours every day. ^^;; So I won't have a lot of time to be drawing anymore. My drawings still take a long long time, so I'll unfortunately be taking multiple days per work... It sucks, but oh well. It's better than nothing.
Anyways. Uhm. Yeah! I'm back in business sorta. o3o

Update! [one week of band camp done!]

It's been a long, long week. xD;;
Band camp has started as of a week ago, and I'm very sore from it (and a little sore from a car crash. No, I wasn't driving). My ankles are dying. ;;v;; But we're doing fantastic this season. As soon as we get a few freshman sorted out, we could easily make semifinals again at Grand Nationals.
If you have any questions or just wanna know about band camp and how it works (since it's a thing everyone knows of but not necessarily about), then I can try my best to answer! óvò
It's possible I could get access to my computer granted back! Which would mean that I can cruise through my 1K+ messages on Fur Affinity and my no doubt 6K+ messages on deviantART in no time! As well as draw and watch streams n stuff. But I have no clue if I can get it back or not... We'll see.

My father has decided that because I acted so depressed (in his words, "like a salted asshole") the entirety of our vacation because of something he doesn't know about, I'm not allowed to access the computer anymore.
That means I can't draw or take commissions any longer. I'm going to Atlanta here soon, and after I get back, I have one week until band camp. So don't expect any art from me during this time.
I'm sorry. I will still be on my phone to check messages! If you want to contact me, you still can! I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. I may use this time to open up pencil commissions or something, because now I have nothing to do all day (my father didn't understand that what I was doing all day on the computer was working. Eleven hours a day, sometimes).
So... Yeah. I'm sorry to all the people that wanted commissions. I'll do my best to get full access granted back to my computer as soon as possible.
I'll give you all status updates as I go along. I'll also probably ask people to call me on Skype to keep me busy when other people can't. :U Because I'm gonna be hella bored now.

Posted 10 years agoSo my family and I decided it was a great idea to go to the beach this weekend. :U Not really looking forwards to it. I honestly think it's a waste of time, and will just cause fights.
But you know. This is important to my mother, I guess. So I'll just bear it and try to smile.

Honestly, that blows my mind. Like seriously. It's astonishing to think that I've been in the community for a year already. I base my prices based upon how I feel my art is worth. As of right now, they are extremely cheap, and that is because I do not have any sort of credibility yet. Once I feel like I’m not charging enough for what I produce, the prices will go up slightly. When this inevitably happens, if you have a commission waiting in my queue,and that price goes up BEFORE you have paid me, you may have to pay the new price! I can probably negotiate with you and make some sort of compromise if you do not want to do this, but please understand that if I ever raise prices, I do it for a good reason.

-All of my prices are in USD ($).
-The price can go up or down depending on complexity.
We will talk about this before I begin working on the piece and negotiate a price.
-Right now I ONLY accept commissions through JOURNALS, except for YCH commissions.
Please keep and eye out for these journals where I will open up slots for commissions.
-Payment will be through PayPal, but PLEASE remember to check the ‘SERVICES’ box
and DO NOT put down a shipping address!
-Paying with installments is currently available, but I’m going to be cheap right off the bat.
Paying installments isn’t needed, unless you really, really need it.
✖︎ PROCESS OF PLACING A COMMISSION ✖︎
1. When I open up a journal with slots for a commissions, comment and try to get one!
Once I reply to your comment and confirm that you have TEMPORARILY grabbed a slot, move on to step two.
2. Send me a NOTE with the information that you have about your character
and what idea(s) you had in mind for the piece.
I reserve the right to decline anything that I feel that I am not comfortable with or willing to do.
You can check my WILL and WILL NOT draw list here. Thank you for your consideration.
3. If I accept the commission, I will add your name to the journal in place of one of the slots,
and we will move on to negotiate a price.
I will start at the base price I have listed on my price guide,
and I will tell you if the price needs to be changed in any way, taking care of complexity charges.
Do not worry, these won’t raise the price dramatically, maybe a few dollars at max.
It basically encourages me to do better work, if your character is very complex.
4. After we have finalized the details and we both have agreed on a price,
please send me an EMAIL (address above) with the completed commission form (which is at the bottom of the pricing guide linked above) in the body of the email.
5. Once I receive the email, I will begin working on the commission,
first making a sketch to send to you through either NOTES or EMAIL (your choice). Major changes can be made here.
Once you approve, I will note you back
and you will pay me through PayPal (either the full amount or the first installment),
and I shall move on to the next phase of work.
6. I will occasionally send you WIPS of the commission to make sure everything is okay,
and that I can continue working on it. You may request small changes be made here;
however, I reserve the right to decline any changes if I feel will take a lot of time or extra work to make.
Of course you can always get me to fix anything if you are willing to pay a little extra for overkill
(we can negotiate this if it comes to this point.
It is very important that you try to request changes EARLY and not in the late production stage).
7. Once I have completed the work, I will send you two files
(maybe more depending on the commission type) through EMAIL, one watermarked to upload to your gallery
and one un-watermarked for your own personal use
(maybe also a full sized piece and a smaller one, depending again on the commission type).
I require you to credit me as the artist anywhere you post it,
with a link to any of the three sites I commission through (Fur Affinity, deviantART, or
Weasyl). Thank you for complying to this wish.
**PLEASE allow me all the time I feel is needed to complete the commission.
I am still a new artist, so I take a lot longer than the artists that have been drawing
anthro for much longer than I have. I promise you that once my inspiration comes, I can
have your piece done in probably a maximum of three days of work.
If you wish to check up on me every once in a while, YOU MAY, but do not pester me
constantly. I have a personal life too, as well as other obligations that I have little to no
control over (marching band practice, band camp, etc). If something comes up and your
commission is delayed, I will email or note you and let you know as soon as I possibly
can about it, and list your options for continuing to work together. If it is long enough of a
delay, and you are patient enough with me, I will give you a discount on the final
price.**
✖︎ OTHER THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF ✖︎
-I usually require a reference sheet of some kind (SFW or NSFW works fine), or at
least one visual representation of your character. If you do not have these things,
you may try to write up a written description. If it simply does not meet my
standards, I will unfortunately have to decline your offer, UNLESS it is for a reference
sheet slot, and you do not have any sort of visual artwork of your character until that
point. Then we can try to work something out.
-If you wish to have a specific size for your piece, let me know at the beginning so I
can make it that size. If you forget to tell me, I will not go back and redo the entire piece
for you without a very large extra fee for doing so. This does not apply to YCH commissions.

-Basically the same sort of thing, just don't pester me constantly,
don't be rude / obscene, etc. The price for a YCH will not fluctuate based off of complexity.
The same sort of thing applies when I send you a confirmation sketch, however.
You need to tell me EARLIER rather than later if something needs to be changed.
Never assume ANYTHING will be added if it is not already there or if I don't explicitly state
that it will be. It is up to YOU to let me know what you want.

You guys should go head over to this journal on MrSenpai's page, and fill out the application to go hang out on his awesome Minecraft server! It's not a trashy furry server (unlike a lot of them), and it's a pretty awesome place to go play some Minecraft. :) I highly recommend you go check it out! It has some Bukkit plugins installed, which makes it a bit more interesting.
Or at the very least you should go check out MrSenpai's page, he has some epic art, and he's a really nice guy! Go say hi or something! c:

Posted 10 years agoWho isn't getting these new ads? o.o I haven't gotten any of the creepy adult ads on either the beta or the classic site layouts, even on pieces that are rated NSFW. Have I just not encountered them yet, or...? xD

Posted 10 years agooOo So I've been working on a higher quality icon for myself recently, since I changed the resolution of stuff and made everything all high(er) definition. Plus it gave me a chance to screw around with some lighting stuff (which I'm sure there are errors with, oops) and to get comfortable using this new cell shading technique. o3o So far I like it a lot, I just have to get better at shading in general, making everything look more natural, that kind of stuff.
For now though, I have a new icon. o3ob Woo.

Posted 10 years agoSo, I've tried for hours on end to find this one piece of art that basically full convinced me to join the furry community around four or five years ago. ^^;; I'd really like to find it, because I remember it being really really cool.
I can't give you too many details about it, but from what little I remember, it was of a feline anthro character, which was looking out of a window (I think the building color was like, white-y yellow?), I think he had gray fur, and he was wearing a black collar and some other clothes (collared shirt, I think). I'm also fairly certain he was smoking a cigarette, and I remember being so stunned by the expression on his face. It seemed to be like, sorta lonely...? I dunno. I found it on Tumblr and for the life of me, I can't find it again.
If you happen to know of what I'm thinking of, comment below, I'd really appreciate it! ovob Thanks~

Submission upload trouble?
Posted 10 years agoWhenever I attempt to upload something, it ends up saying 'Image Not Found' in the finalized version. Is there a way I can fix this, or is it a bug with FA? I know several people have had trouble uploading new icons, but never heard of any trouble with artwork yet.
To fix the 'Image Not Found', I find I can click on it to make it appear... But that's kinda annoying, and not everyone will actually see this journal and know that's how you can view it.
If anyone knows a quick and easy way to fix this, I would appreciate knowing!
