I received a surprise note, and I'm gonna go for it!

Gonna start going through all the devs in my inbox over the next week or so and removing some artists I watch.

There's just so much to go through, I'm barely even looking anymore. Just a quick scan and then NUKE. That's no good for anybody. :s

Please don't take offense if you noticed! My interests and inspirations have changed over time. You and your art are still beautiful, but it's not what I'm looking for anymore. I'm sure that in no time, my absence will be replaced with at least five other people who will be much more active than I am!

Finally starting to draw again...

Well... slight correction.

Finally feeling the will to do anything again.

I've got a small list of things I need to do; stuff I've promised but have procrastinated on or just felt too depressed to do, but I started one of them yesterday.

My sister has been asking me for ages to draw her a tiger-dragon. I've been saying, "Yeah, I'll do it" for a couple of years now, but just haven't had any care to start.

I've never been really active, but it's gotten so bad... it's been YEARS since I really felt motivated to do much of anything other than watch YouTube, Netflix, or Hulu. Just kinda... a me puddle, trying not to think too hard.

Dear God, I can't believe it's been over 4 years since my ex left me, but it still feels like it happened last week sometimes. I tear up at random memories.

Anyway, before we get all mushy, back to the art.

My goal is to have it inked by Saturday. I won't have much time to work on it on Wednesday, as there's more wedding planning for LIttle Sister to attend to, but otherwise, I don't think I have any plans.

I've been feeling a bit of an urge to do some more art in regards to my novel, The Changing Angel.

Most of the characters are not anthros, though (yet not technically humans either), so I have some hesitation, not only in posting non-anthro characters, but also because I'm really insecure about my human anatomy skills (I haven't drawn a human character since this ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12796328/ ), and it shows. And before that, there was this one ( https://mistingwolf.deviantart.com/.....Iris-118505734 ) which I actually think looks better despite not having a defined mouth (but probably because I was actually kind of drawing humans at that time).

That last one in particular is something I'd like to redraw, because looking at those wings just makes me cringe, and I remember being really happy with them at the time.

Wow, what a crazy year. It feels like it took forever and passed in a flash all at the same time.

I don't lead a particularly exciting or social life, and to be honest, my memory is abysmal. But, the end of the year has been good to me; got a house, a nice new lawnmower that I'm kinda-sorta excited to use next season (I've never had a new one!).

I'm in for a lot of work in 2018; last year I told myself that I'd finish my book, but I suffer from chronic procrastination. I don't know if that's really a thing, but I seriously need to get down to it and work on my lack-of-discipline issues.

Admittedly, I'm afraid to try anything new, because I'm afraid to fail, and if I never try, I can't fail. Except that is exactly the failure right there, and on the flip side, if I don't try, I can't succeed, either.

I'm over 100 pounds overweight, and I'm really feeling it.... Really, me, we need to have a talk and get some exercise in this year!

I feel like my brain is fried.

Finished International Sales training this week; just a crash course for us in Domestic (USA and Canada) sales. They crammed three+ weeks of training into 5 four-hour training sessions.

I am SO nervous that I'm going to screw something up. It took me over an hour to do just one order. OMG my stats are going to plummet so hard. No way in hell am I going to manage ten work items per hour (the standard) for a long, long, long time.

I've been at my current job for 7 years now, and I hate feeling like a total newb again. It is incredibly frustrating feeling like I still don't know what I'm doing and that I'm going to fail.

Really wish they hadn't combined the two departments. TnT

For my cat, Autumn. His health has been slowly declining since October. Between then and now, he's lost another 3 pounds. He only weighs 10 pounds now. Healthy weight for his size is around 16 pounds. He used to weigh 22 this past spring. He's got FIV and diabetes, but is otherwise a happy cat.

The vet is keeping him overnight to give him fluids and try to get some food into him, and they'll be administering his insulin. Depending on how long he has to stay, the vet advised that his bills can get up to around $800.00 for the care and stay fees. As of today, I've paid $150, which is a half payment for just overnight today and a stay for tomorrow.

I have a friend who streams who is afraid to post a Now Streaming image when she streams; she heard it is against the Acceptable Upload Policies.

I have read them, and do not see anything geared SPECIFICALLY toward Stream images. However, I did find:

It was an accident.
Friend and Boyfriend were outside practicing cutting with a razor-sharp sword, chopping up a Funnoodle. Then they decided I should try.

Now, I have zero experience with a real sword. I wasn't used to the weight, and the grip was lacquered. So... essentially no grip. I swung, missed, and the sword flew out of my hands and into Boyfriend's leg, just under the knee.

We had to take him in for stitches. And meds. We're expecting a very big, uninsured bill.
