Posted 16 years agoOk, so i'm in the hospital again, and the diagnosis isn't good. Basically i had gotten sick, again, and suffering from neutropenia. They ran some tests and that's when I got bad news: I have Leukemia!
Now, this honestly surprised me just a little. I had been feeling tired the past few months and well now I have an explanation of why. So yeah, i'm on chemotherapy now and will probably be in the hospital for about 4-6 weeks. Good news though, it is curable, just might take some time. I don't usually ask for donations, but anything you can give would help me out. My paypal email address is: jasemase2003[at]yahoo.com

My game choices of the decade?
Posted 16 years agoAs we reflect back on a broken decade, we need some shining moments to at least make us smile or just go, "Oh yeah....I remember that!"
I present to you my list of what I consider to be the Top 10 games of the decade.
10: Mass Effect
This game is at the bottom of my list because of 2 reasons. The first is I think they didn't do enough with the characters in the game, most of them were rather dry. Even with the actors they brought in. Secondly the game felt a little too short. You could finish everything in the game in about 1 to 2 days.
9: Republic Commando
Republic Commando has everything I like about squad based games. Intelligent squads, the members of your squad are hilarious at times when they interact with eachother, and most of the commands are done with simplicity. Why make a game more complicated than it needs to be, remember KISS people! [Keep it simple stupid]
8: Halo: Custom Edition
Ah, Halo, back when it actually had a idea that was fairly original. Now I put Custom Edition on here for the simple fact of user created content. This boosts the replay value of the game very high, and there are many creative people who design maps for the game.
7: StarWars Battlefront 2
Probably the best CP type game out there besides the Battlefield series. It's smooth, features characters you love, and even lets you develop strategy to hold your capture points.
6: CoD 1/United Offensive
Yes the game is old, and it has been put up on XBL...but that version is shitty compared to the original PC title. Probably what I enjoyed more about this game was the expansion, United Offensive. Same gameplay style only far more intense, one of my favorite levels has you in a Flying Fortress! It may not look good, but it played like a masterpiece.
5: Psychonauts
Creative, original, funny, and made you feel like a bad ass with mind bullets! Okay...telekinesis. Still though, this game took you in and made you want to keep playing, even if it was just to keep laughing at the stupid antics or to see how fucked up someone is in their head. My favorite mind was that of, the milkman/security officer. Talk about one messed up head!
4: CoD: Modern Warfare
Finally, no god damn nazis! Infinity Ward finally realized people were getting tired of WW2 shooters and made one that is set in the modern era. Now we get lasers and flying cars and....wait....wrong era. The multiplayer for this game is what sold it, though the story was also kick ass. Multiplayer had me going for hours on end, just like its sequel. More on that later.
3: God of War 2
I've only played about half of this game, but I can tell you what I played was extremely well made. Though it ends in a damn cliffhanger, God of War 2 actually seems to be following the Stories and tales of the Greek Gods as Kratos vows to get revenge and bring down the king of the Olympian gods.
2: C&C3 Kane's Wrath
I love this series, probably more so than is healthy. I thought the last great game would be C&C: Red Alert 2, but thankfully I was mistaken. Kane is back, Nod is once again broken into splinter factions, and now kane has a new program in store. Bring in LEGION, a computer AI much like Cabal, but very different. Nod has so many new vehicles at the ready, and now with the integration of the Black Hand you can control the entire Nod fleet. Something else I love about this game is Global Conquest mode. A turn based overworld that lets you build strike forces, and bases. but resolves conflicts in real time battles. Red Alert 3 tried to expand on this...but I think they failed.
1: Morrowind/Oblivion
I can't easily decide between the two of which one would be on top. Both games on the PC have limitless play time when you consider how many mods you can add in. My copy of Oblivion alone has over 30 active mods on it. The best one being Heart of the Dead. Morrowind has many mods as well, like the Dragon Sword, and Lovers and Legends. I'd have to say that the story lines for both are fairly moot, but the experience and challenges to get to the end of them are fun. With near limitless play time, and the ability to become a lizard assasin. I give Oblivion and Morrowind the title of best games of the Decade.

Posted 16 years agoLately this phin has been sick, or at least was sick. A couple of weeks before Halloween I came down with some sort of illness I tried to fight off for a week on my own...to no avail. I only felt worse, and my fever kept getting higher. So, a week later on a saturday I was taken to the hospital, forced to wear a mask as they were afraid I had bird flu [which I didn't] and later was admitted for Pneumonia and something else called Neutropenia. For those that don't know what it is, it is basically a condition in which your white blood cell count goes so low, you could die from any form of an infection. My blood count went down to 0.7. This was seriously low. But anyway for the next week I lay in the hospital bed on so many strong antibiotics, i'm not sure what they all were, while coughing my lungs out, and suffering from a high fever. The nights, were horrible, i'd usually have the chills, then be burning up. Anyway, I got released from the hospital on Halloween, looked and felt like a damn zombie to boot.
I called my work, still had a job, and told them I would need another week to recoup. My boss basically told me to take as much time as I needed. And he gave me a second week off. So during that time i've been playing Borderlands, yiffing my unicorn, and playing MW2. That's basically it.
Oh, I can't afford health insurance and the medical bills from my hospital stay are.. really high. over $15K. I hate to ask for donations, anything to help out would be appreciated. If you would like to donate money, please send me a note, or IM me on yahoo. YIM: jasemase2003

Planning out my next LP
Posted 16 years agoOk, who would like to see an LP of Advent Rising? It's an older game, but still rather good. I'm not planning to start it until I can build my new compy, which should kick ass. I'm open to other suggestions, just no fighting games, or games based on animes/comic books/movies etc.

Boredom, Drama, and Lets Play!
Posted 16 years agoHeya all you bored people out there, it's phinny journal time! Today we have a rather mundane conversation with my left foot, and we discover the secrets behind douchebaggery. No.....in reality I was actually wanting an opinion on something that I have been thinking about doing.
Does anyone want to see an LP of CoD: United Offensive?
I've been thinking about it, and it's a fairly long game...but I havn't seen any Lets Plays on it. The only thing that would irritate me is the whole 10 min limitation thing on Youtube. So instead of recording 10 mins of game play I would be doing an entire level then going back and chopping it into 10 min segments before doing commentary on each. Posted 16 years agoHas anyone been watching the E3 content this year? If so then perhaps you've noticed something called Project Natal. After watching the vid for it all I have to say is...what a load of crap!.
Ok...when are developers going to get off their asses and realize that most people prefer something physical like a controller. Wii uses motion sensing, but you still have a controller. Project Natal however would have you imagine all that and make you look like an idiot while playing your games.
This thing is supposedly an add-on for an Xbox or something like that, uses motion capture and recognition technology to drive game controls and movements. I think it is rathter idiotic for all but the casual gamer. Lemme give ya an example. Ok, in the video there is a family on a couch with a girl acting like she is driving. She pulls in for a pit-stop and her dad springs up to secure the lugnuts on a tire. Neither of which is holding anything, and the steering wheel the girl is pretending to use it too big even for most busses.
Ok so maybe this is a bad examble? how about this one. In another demonstration you can have the device recognize some of your own stuff for game usage. That in itself is cool, but there is a problem, you can't actually use it while playing the game. What a load of unicorn rainbow shit! Ok, say I have a model of a AK-74 which is better than the one in the game, I would like to actually hold it while playing the game but I can't cause the system only recognizes hand placements. Fuck that...i'm going to go back to a controller.
Oh! something else for you airheads in the gaming industry. Maybe you havn't seen most gamers, but we tend to be lazy, exercise is not high on our list of "things I wanna do today." Not to mention many people play games after work, and are already too tired to even attempt exercise. Anyone that tells you otherwise, either does not work, or isn't a true gamer. Those people probably belong to that trendy group who think gaming makes them cool so they show off how many wives they have in Fable 2 then constantly ask for handouts because someone never told them you could own buildings to make money. Or, while playing Halo 3, CoD4, L4D, hell even in Halo Wars I've seen it, they play and bad mouth other players until things don't go their way then they start blaming others on their own shortcomings and finally rage quit. Grrr, i'm sick of people who do that, some of my own friends are guilty of it.
Anyway, coming back to my point, I don't think Project Natal will be a huge success. I think it is basically an attempt to rival with the Wii, and Sony, and will result in people buying it, then just casting it aside down the road due to lack of interest. Oh, not to mention how much this thing could potentially cost, I dun wanna even think about it.

Ike blows...glad it's gone.
Posted 17 years agoWell after a couple of days my phone and DSL service has been restored. Yay...I can look at porn and chat to others again.
For those that don't know i'm on the west side of Houston, and things didn't get too bad here until the hurricane was passing over the bay at about 4:30 am. Winds really picked up as did the rain...going sideways. Not really sure how long it lasted because I passed out at about an hour later. Woke up to find there was a lot of downed fences, the phone lines were out, and my car had a pinecone stuck ON THE SIDE OF THE TIRE! How did that happen??
Anyway...just letting others know that I am fine and back online. I hope that other houston furs here are safe and they made it through the storm all right.

Ah...there's the new translator button. Hiya! Still trying to get use to the new FA layout as things have changed a bit. So what's up with me?
Well to start with I'm still working at HP, which is a good thing. I also just found out i'm fairly well paid for what I do there. *cough11.80/phcough*
Secondly i've been on my 360...a lot...probably too much. Especially since I've mostly been in Halo 3. Oh the horrors and drama that has happened in that infernal marketing payoff that Bungie has released on the world. On side note, might be getting Rockband...only it's not called rockband, but called "Bangin on Shit." Lets see how it goes...i'm told the package weighs about 180 pounds and comes with free lubrication...I bet it has moving parts or something.
Anyway....I'm need to get a shower since i'm already nude...which is freaking out my neighbors since my blinds are open. Squeak ya in the water!

Posted 17 years agoYes, I never left, just became busy. What with work...more work...and weekends I rarely have time for stuff these days it seems. Usually when I do have time i'm too tired to do anything.
For those who haven't heard, I work at the HP plant here in Houston, Tx. The work is damn easy...i'm sure 2 monkies with a calculator could do my job. I assemble servers, or more specifically, personal, and rack-mount server units. My boss is cool, and the pay is fairly good.
In other news I made my computer faster...somehow. I basically cursed at it for half an hour in german, spanish, and then english and it started to run much better than it ever did before. To reward it I gave it nom noms by adding some more memory to it.
Well that's it from me, I hope to yiff...er chat with you guys whenever I can. For now though, I must sleep.

2007, what a horrible year.
Posted 18 years agoWell the year isn't over...but already it has been a bad year for me...too much bad shit happened. Why is it I can never seem to catch a break. Well here's a short list of all the crap that has happened to me so far:
Jan: Sick on birthday this year
March: Friend of mine gets in a fight with me and never hear from him again
May: My 360 goes out, never to be played again
June: Get my desktop back, but sister lost the software
July: Rejected for job offer due to idiots in the system
August: Mom basically says FU when I ask her to help me with getting a new HDD
September: Got my first certification, also my first reject for job because employer doesn't know what an A+ certification is
Dec: Desktop suffers major Hard Drive failure resulting in about 47% info loss.
Well...if you don't hear from me for a while this will be why. I still have my laptop but with the loss of my only gaming machine left I just want to cry right now. *sighs*

Underwear stealing penguins!!

So anyway I came across an old but classic game called Defcon. I dunno why, but it is fun to use nukes to blow up people and stuff.
In other news I taught the underwear stealing penguins a lesson by stashing my underwear in a different drawer and replacing it with polar bears. These are well trained bears as the help santa make toys for Christmas.

I'm putting the Pacificaris series on the shelf [again] because my mate wanted me to do a story about our RP world. I just can't say no to that cute unicorn pouty face he does. So as soon as I work out where/how to start I'll get to work on it. I say where as the RP world spans something like 3-4 planets and contains over 150 characters. So yeah....lotsa choices x.x
Also, as some of you know, I might be getting a guitar fro Christmas. Hopefully to add some variety to my music. So look forward to that, and possibly some OLD Bryce works i recently located. Now if I can just find Bryce i'll be ok.

Posted 18 years agoYou mention work these days and most people will usually ask you what you do. Telling them you're unemployed, while masturbating to pictures of cute drawn cartoon animals in adult situations, is probably a bad idea.
I'm still on the job search because trying to find an entry level IT position in Houston is like trying to find good TMNT porn. It's out there, but the chances of coming across it are slim. However, I am still currently looking for a job, just as soon as I finish this game of Civilization 4. Ok so i might have a bit of ADD, but these days who doesn't. God knows most furs probably do, considering ADD is more of a guy behavioral thing. It's like in our nature to only focus on what interests us, and if that happens to switch from talking about pawing off a donkey to suddenly petting a doggy that came past, then so be it. What was I talking about?
Oh right...the whole jobless thing. As of right now Houston is so damned saturated with IT guys it's amazing that any graduates from ITT Tech actually find work here. Or maybe it is because I didn't go to college. I felt it wasn't for me and my experience around and with the processing boxes that store our yiff was enough. Apparently not. Even now that i'm certified companies here want more, even for ENTRY level positions. It's like how much does someone new-ish to the field need to have? Shit, I've even seen some companies wanting you to have 3-5 years of experience for the damn entry level position. That's one of those moments where you want to march up to the HR guy and scream, "HOW MUCH SHIT ARE YOU ON!!" Seriously, how hard is it to know that a network cable plugs into a jack of the same size, or to replace drives that have connectors that only fit one way. I'm sure if penguins had hands they would be doing these jobs instead of stealing my undies!! Those are my undies penguins...not yours, give them back!

Read this article then you'll find out why many of today's generation will probably become tomorrow's pansies. I have to agree with pretty much everything the author said. Boy today are being softened by a feminist society, overly protective parents, and a political view on innocent games now classified as taboo.
I Believe the final line to me is when they take games away like tag, and cops and robbers. Two childhood games that supply not only fun, but tag teaches stealth and proper catching techniques, while cops and robbers was more about getting the bad guy. Both activities were a source of exercise too. Games like these are becoming banned because of clouded judgments and biased views on what is actually happening.
The dodgeball ban is the worst. The game is immensely fun, yes you get hurt, yes there is a potential for bleeding. However, the game teaches a few important lessons: How not to get hit, teamwork, and know when to fight back. Many schools have banned it now though because "Oh, we can't let the kids get hurt, their parents will sue, or they will be scarred for life." I'm sorry, but if you're scarred for life because of a dodgeball game then you have issues.

Halo 3
Posted 18 years agoI'm tired of seeing this, and I really wish it would stop. People knocking Halo 3 just because the 2nd one was bad and they don't have the faith that Bungie could pull off another good release. Well, I hate to burst their bubble but they would be dead wrong.
Halo 3 starts out with quite an awesome cut-scene that sets the bar for the rest of the game. Also, Bungie wasn't the only one working on it, some of the guys from Rare were on it too. I'm guessing the graphics department as your environment looks breathtakingly awesome. *possible spoilers below*
Now some of the complaints i've seen were mostly based around how you tend to focus more on the flood instead of the covenant. They also seem a little pissed that the Arbiter is fighting along side you. I would guess they are pissed because they don't pay attention to shit that happened in the 2nd Halo. The Elites arn't part of the covenant, they were cast aside and want revenge, Arbiter's main focus is primarily the same as MC's: Stopping Truth before he can activate the rings on the Ark.
Now as far as gameplay goes I would saw it is fairly flawless. I have not come across a bug or glitch that hinders gameplay in any way. Multiplayer seems to be the same way. I especially like how plasma swords can now clash when two try to hit eachother at the same time. The ability to detach a turret and carry it around on the map is a cool feature as well. Not to mention the new ranking system and armor customization seems to add a lot more reasons to play online. However the most critical one to me is the Asshole button. My friend calls it the "Annoying 12 year old kicker".
That's about all I have to say on he game, it's fun, intense, and well worth the money. P.S. make sure you watch the credits, it's worth it!! Mist out.

Posted 18 years agoWell i was um...a little tipsy one night and decided to film one of my times with me fooling around with the console in Oblivion. Now this wouldn't be so funny if it wasn't for some of the mods I have. The first is Sauron's armor pack, the second is the blade of WTFPWNAGE. The blade itself is gay, but it effects MOST of the other weapons in the game. This is part one of MEOC - My Evil Oblivion Clone. Part 2 should be better, uh...i hopes.
