Over the past 3 months, I've lost one of my 2 jobs, got suspended from Twitch for "inappropriate attire" (my avatar is a Darkwing-style bottomless duck) so I fully moved to Piczel, then my laptop got bricked by a forced Windows update that included a botched BIOS patch, I had to replace the laptop asap, and then my tablet died the day it arrived, which I had to replace too, both via payment plans. A weird string of bad luck permeated these months.

I've been working as many hours as I can at my one remaining job to get by, occasionally streaming some games and trying to host a watch party, but I've been mostly exhausted and very stressed from both personal and global stuff, and I regrettably haven't made progress on commissions or drawn much at all since the end of May.

There is some light on the horizon tho, I've been working with a friend who can recover the rest of my belongings that have been in storage since last October, this July, which will both be a massive stress reduction, and will remove the ~$200/mo fee I've been paying for storage from my long list of bills.

I am hoping that having my stuff back, being made whole again in a sense, will be the stress reduction I need to get back in the zone art-wise.

To all my commissioners, I can't apologize enough for the delays since Janaury, and I am equally grateful for the patience you've offered to me since.
I will complete all the commissions in my queue eventually, I must.

Hi, first off: I am very behind on my commission queue, and I do apologize, the past month has been a lot, but it's about time I gave some kind of update:

The bad first: I've been hit by a NSFW artblock, I've had this kind of burnout many times, so I know this will resolve too, but for the moment it's caused a pause on my predominately NSFW queue. It is vital I feel passion for what I'm making in order to make anything worthwhile, so I will continue/start the pieces in my queue once the NSFW artblock completely lifts. I will not be taking on any new comms until I complete all of my current ones. Progress status can be seen on my Trello, or the previous commission journals here.

I specifically call it a NSFW artblock because on the good side of things: I still have passion for SFW comfort art. Outer Wilds lore & fiction is very much keeping me actively creating, even when everything else about life right now is a phenomenally stressful drain, it's like a bright spark in the dark, a campfire even.
Speaking of life, I have been devoting a ton of time to job hunting, and finally have a good thing to say on that front: I now have two IRL jobs. Neither pay well and hours vary a lot, but combined should cover a bit of stuff if I can do enough. Hopefully in time things will balance out a bit, where I'm bouncing between the two jobs & artwork somewhat evenly. Fingers crossed!

For the moment, art progress will continue to be slow, but I want you to know art progress is still happening, and everything I have and am doing to regain a more-stable living situation is so I can have time to create more art, SFW & NSFW alike.

It’s been enough time, so wanna clear the air about something before the year’s out.
The main reason drawing my ducksona in comms/scat scenes became uncomfortable enough to stop doing it, is because my personal passion for it was wrapped up a private friendship-turned-situationship that ended earlier this year.
Every comm and/or depiction of my sona I drew in pre-summer art/comms was pretty much a proxy for our private ERP/chats. But over time things became distant and one-sided, until an argument a few months ago that revealed she was already in relationships ended things for good.

I still enjoy my kinks, and am comfortable with drawing your characters and most company characters engaging in scat/egg kinks in commissions, but only from a detached “director” standpoint. My personal “actor” interest in the kinks died with that situationship, it all just reminds me of her, and the better times that are over.
I honestly have no wish to draw my sona engaging in kinks with anyone other than an OC I designed to be her stand-in for the Isle setting/lore, which was the next step in the ERP/proxy kink art, but now it’s just a way to escape reality in fiction solo.

Of course that’s if I ever get around to drawing that. My interests atm are solely in making comfort/fluff art & designs, and hopefully getting to work on some neat kink poses in commissions/ychs.
I’m doing things a day at a time, trying to survive. I don’t know what the future holds, probably nothing good, but I’m gonna try to keep making stuff and kicking around in some way for as long I can.

I'm still job hunting where I'm temporarily staying, the process is slow & difficult, but I will not stop until I get hired somewhere. I spent some of what I have on a new portable tablet to draw with. I'm beginning to de-rust & might re-open for 1 or 2 commission slots soon.

I order to apply for a specific low-cost apartment in a different state I have to make 3k in pay or 5k in a bank in a 30 day period, it's an excessive income wall to climb in order to live somewhere affordable, but it's my only option for a permanent place, albeit without any of my stuff in storage.

I can only hope I get hired for an IRL job soon to get some steady income & can do some commissions alongside to supplement. I'll let you know when I re-open for a couple slots.

This is an uncomfortable thing to realize and write, but better to face it now than later: I will not be allowing use of my sona or OCs in future NSFW commissions. The current ones I’ve already agreed to I will be doing privately.
I’ll be leaving the older comms up for now since they were done with a previous design.

I don’t feel comfortable with the “ultra horny dom” vibe some people think of me as & interact with me on that basis, presumably due to previous commissions I’ve allowed use of my sona in. In many ways a lot of that stems from private RPing I enjoyed doing a couple years ago, and was once true-ish, but in the time since: My libido has reduced intensity and shifted gears, and I frankly don’t RP much anymore. The “mischievous dominatrix” thing isn’t me, it’s little more than an act now and continuing to allow a misleading use of my sona would just continue the damage I've caused myself.

I’ll absolutely still be drawing the kinks I draw, because despite not really meeting or connecting with anyone that likes my kinks for the same reasons I do, I still enjoy drawing them my way, but I’ll be saving use of my sona & OCs for canon/personal stuff, like the long-delayed Isle. I'll draw your characters or other characters you like in commissions, but I take no pleasure in "being in it" anymore.

anxiety consumes me, i cant function. i will not be able to survive past the next 2 weeks unless some suspiciously wealthy fur takes an interest in my stuff. as that's beyond unlikely, I can only consider this the end. seems fitting my birthday is at the end of those 2 weeks, i'll die when i started

I've currently only raised 18% of the money I needed for August, and the month is nearly over.
I've lost a lot of time this month due to my hand and other health issues, trying to get those dealt with but much like just living itself that costs time and money.

I'm not in a good position right now. I tried applying to two nearby jobs, both fell on deaf ears.
There's been barely more than 1 or 2 comm inquires this month. Interest in my art has already dried up.

I don't know how to sell myself beyond what I've done so far.
Been thinking of trying a sketch-based growth drive, but much like my earlier YCH plans, I haven't been able to get those started yet. If there's no interest in comms, why should I expect there to be interest in anything else I might make.

I'm not capable of grinding/hustle/gig whatever that's a necessity now. My life's goal isn't even to be able to animate regularly anymore, or make my Isle setting, I just want an actual week off. Like not cause of injury or exhaustion, but an actual week off, in full health, with nothing to do.

But no, no time off, I'm so far behind on bills. I have nothing to fall back on, nowhere to go, no way to get out of the 16k debt that's left. And no ones cares, cause who the hell am I, no one, just some organic commodity that stopped being useful, not productive enough. There's nothing I can do.

I've gotten a couple messages here and there recently, and it seems some are under the impression I've closed commissions at some point? I don't know where that's coming from, I am still very much open, and have been open since June. I've had some delays due to my hand, but I have not closed. I can't close, this is my only source of income.

I haven't made an announcement/advertisement/reminder post in a while, I guess the lack reminders might be causing that impression?
In any case, just wanted to clarify, I am open, and I will remain open until either I can make enough to pay my bills & debt, or I don't make enough and have to close cause I'll be homeless/dead.
