update #commsopen
Posted a year agoI'm behind on comms cause of my hand & other pains. I'm sorry to those waiting, your patience is appreciated.
I will remain #commsopen for as long as can. Bills never stop, debt's still high. If you don't mind to wait for finished work, I'm trying to do what I can with my hand, thank you.

Commissions Update #commsopen
Posted a year agoWhile I proceed with working on some sketches and emotes in my Queue, I wanted to mention I've recently added Ref Sheets & Animations to my Carrd's Prices & Fees tab! :3
(Also, I might try out a YCH auction in the not too distant future, more on that when I can get to it.)

Vent - A Frustrating Disclaimer
Posted a year agoTo preface, a quote from my Won’t Draw list in my TOS:
“The Trio of Absolute Evil: infantilism/cub, bestiality/zoo, and right-wing/xenophobic/fascistic politics. I will ban/block/blacklist anyone that's propagating these. You have been warned.”
I take this stuff extremely seriously, I do not wish to engage in semantics, or obfuscations, for example: If I see you create or propagate prepubescent proportions in your art or comms, you are blocked, period. You do not have a fetish or kink, you have an actual sickness that is inexcusable. Prepubescence is a horrifying larval stage of life that has no business being on any platform at any time; It doesn't haee any sexual aspects whatsoever, there is something genuinely wrong with you if you think it does.
There’s a big reason I avoid drawing diapers as a clothing prop, because any of the furs I’ve met that actually have adult incontinence kinks are drowned out by all the diseased inkbunny-type creeps that emphatically continue to take their space thru association with that prop, like a tree covered in mistletoe parasites.
Let me make this crystal clear:
If you are pushing prepubescent proportions and scenarios at all, get the fuck out.
Don't try to bullshit me with tired disgusting “but they’re actually over 1000 years old” type defenses. Get the fuck out of here.
You’re an abhorrent blight on adult furry fetish spaces.

Update + Important Commission Question
Posted a year agoHappy Pride Month! I have something important to ask to you about. It would mean a whole lot to me if you read to the end.
I’ve been very quiet on the art side of things for quite a while now, and that’s cause 2024 so far for me has been a near-constant sequence of bad stuff happening, over and over again. But this Memorial Day, I had a really nice day off, I had completely forgotten I got it off so I actually had a day with truly nothing to do, and I got right back into being creative. Writing & drawing for hours. I realized I could still make stuff at a nice pace. It was good.
Then right after that was a workday with some verifiably unethical stuff happening, and being asked of me, and I put my foot down, I’ve yet to hear back.
With both of those experiences back-to-back, something seriously snapped in my head, I’m having an increasingly difficult time justifying to myself to endure my job solely cause of how much I depend upon the “stability” of pay it offers VS the daunting high risk of quitting it and starting to do commissions regularly without any savings in the bank first, something that at the current way things are going I wouldn't be able to even start saving anything for a couple years.
At this point tho, this year has kicked me past my limit so many times, I've lost a bunch IRL and the risk doesn’t seem as bad as it once did. In my current job, I am frankly dying inside emotionally and overworking my wrist injury to the point I can’t spend much off-work time I have drawing. Extreme delays from being unable to make time to create have caused more of my burnouts than anything else. I am very, very tired of throwing my passion in the garbage just because I am very afraid of homelessness. I'm stuck trying to live in the very expensive state I was born in, with no roommates or friends living nearby.
I have been considering a lot in the past few days. If I took the plunge and quit my job, I’d have my time back, I'd be able to put less strain on my wrist injury, and create art all the way from simple pinups to my beloved scat kinks at a speed I’ve always longed to.
But it'd be a point of no return, and no matter what art-related plans I have, none of it matters without enough potentially interested commissioners that would even want to commission me; you'd be taking a risk on me since I've been mostly inactive for too long. So I wanted to ask you, any of you that enjoy the stuff I’ve made in the past, would you be interested in commissioning if I fully opened for commissions in the near future?

A Quick Word
Posted 2 years agoI feel it necessary to clarify something: There's no mystery as to why I’ve blocked someone. It’s either cause they’ve lied to me about something serious and/or are proponents/propagators of anything I find inexcusable, particularly any part of the Trio of Absolute Evil: pedo/zoophile/fascism.
The point is, the moment I notice something abhorrent, they’re out. They went somewhere that cancels out any possibility of them being trustworthy or worth a second of my time. There’s no discussion, no debate, no reprieves. Anyway, just thought I should mention that, for no particular reason.

Posted 2 years agoHappy Halloween! Have a wonderful spooky night. :3
Life is pretty hectic right now, so I haven't had much time or energy to draw.
I'll be dormant here for a little while, but I still have stuff I wanna draw, for when I can.

Fuck Scott.
Posted 2 years agoScott Cawthon is an awful human being. It’s already been public knowledge for years now, he gives thousands of his FNAF-raised money to literal right-wing fascists, first noted during the pandemic & since.
He’s a cowardly “traditional” man, who sits on his little perch, gleefully taking Furry money from those who either don’t know, or for some reason turn a blind eye to his open disdain of your existence, while he passes that money along to those who ABSOLUTELY want you dead.
Stop supporting his ridiculous grotesque excuse of a franchise. Every single time a Furry artist draws one of those characters, it’s both an advertisement for it & a waste of time—This is just as bad as supporting JoKe Rowling and her stereotype-filled child abuse franchise. Stop giving that Mitch & Co-funding asshole Scott Cunthon your money. Fuck FNAF. Fuck Scott.
If you don’t like this message, and choose to continue throwing your money into funding future endeavors of that monster, or waste your time advertising it via art of his “characters”, please unwatch me.
I have no interest in engaging with any Furry if they are KNOWINGLY choosing to give Scott/FNAF even a cent of their money & by so doing stab all Furries in the back. All over 1980’s themed murderous animatronics possessed by the spirits of dead children created by a right-wing asshat.
Just Stop.

Overdue Update
Posted 2 years agoI kept putting off writing this update for a while, gonna try to keep it as short as possible, but as usual it might be long:
To start with some good news, finally got my new Bluesky & Cohost pages up to date, posted a bunch of my stuff from here on FA, alongside a few new posts on all three sites. I've also repurposed part of the EGGS pic to make a new banner for all my pages, and reorganized part of my Discord WIP Server.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned to server previously: I made one last year as part of my Patreon, however I closed my Patreon at the end of August. I’ve kept the server cause I like having a place to share WIP stuff. It’s not public as I’m my own mod, and I don’t want to turn it into another stressful thing to manage, so it’s invite-only, at my discretion.
As for why I’ve closed the Patreon: Life going awful exactly one-year ago last October and more recently thru May really threw what I wanted to do this year off, badly. By the end of it I was just faced with an artblock that consumed August, a nearly-dead interest in shading, a pile of things on my drawing To-Do List, and frankly: An all-purpose drawing/working/typing hand painfully strained from overuse.
While I absolutely could use any extra money to help cut down on the debts I'm up to my beak in, I couldn't keep trying to treat this hobby as a potential other job. I had turned it into something else I wanted to escape from, then the long artblock hit, forcing the issue. I put myself into a constant state of playing catch-up for the past year, a state I technically am still in.
Thru September I slowly started getting out of the artblock, and have been trying to ease into stuff like this again. There are many days I'm simply exhausted from other stuff I do that I don't draw a thing. All I can say for anyone I've previously made clear I have interest in drawing something for: My ETA is pretty much "permanently unknown"—stuff will be done when I can do it, whenever those times arise.
New Commissions are closed for the moment, as least formal ones. I’m going with a more informal PWYW (pay what you want) type thing for now. I’ve got a long To-Do List of commission ideas, giftart ideas, and personal ideas covered in proverbial layers of dust, and no real guarantee that any of it will be done in any reasonable amount of time, if at all. So, I’m not doing any pay-upfront stuff, or planning on charging really. If I finish something, and the fur I drew it for (or anyone else that sees it) likes it enough & can afford to, they’re welcome to donate to my Ko-fi, but I'm leaving that as optional.
Now, I realize what I just wrote sounds like I’m leaving myself open to potential “free art” exploitation, so to make things clear: I’m not doing requests, don’t send me ideas for such things. (Disabling comments just in case.) I’m talking about art ideas from/for friends of mine. I just like making stuff for those I've gotten to appreciate over time, making someone happy with something super specific for them is a really good feeling.
If you're outside of those groups & like what I draw & the things listed on my “Will Draw” list, I’ll likely be making more stuff you’ll enjoy in time, no worries there. If you want to support me in some way, you’re welcome to Like & Repost (not literally, reposting is the name of Bluesky's equivalent function to retweeting) my posts on Bluesky or Cohost too, if you’re on either of those sites. There's no algorithm on either so doing those is helpful! And of course there's also my Ko-fi, anything helps there.
But yea, that's all from me for now. Thanks for reading all that if you did. :3

personal update & omg this gift art!
Posted 2 years agoApologies for the radio silence this August, I had a rather intense 2D artblock that lasted for over 3 weeks, but it's beginning to let up at last! I'll have some news for a future journal, after I can complete my current queue.
In the meantime, I have to shout about this beautiful gift art from
zombiecat!
Zombie's art is the reason I got into hyperscat kinks & wanting to learn to draw 'em. So him drawing my sona is such a personally gratifying thing that I am truly speechless. Thankyu so much for this wonderful pic. <3<3<3

Posted 2 years agoGood news & an important change to mention.
I’ve got a backlog of about 12 things I’ll be posting in a few hours. Egg pic is done, and several doodles made in the meantime & before it, need to be posted too.
After an exceedingly rough May & June IRL, I’ve decided I’ll no longer be using up what free time I have on lineart, and putting less of a focus on shading. I nearly burnt myself out thru my own self-imposed requirements of what “finished pic” means. Large-scale single images that would put a full-time artist out for a few weeks to complete are not something I have the time for, and shouldn’t have been trying to up the ante on in my full-time IRL work situation; I lost sight of drawing to have fun.
So, I’ll be doing more sketchy/rough sutff going forth (including animating, I miss it), and will only be accepting sketch commission ideas for a while. Color will still be a thing, and occasional shading will too, but only if I really feel like doing those.
Anyways, I hope everyone had a good Pride Month. <3 Just remember: Only the arbitrary period of marketability is over, Pride never ends. ^w^
Also, unrelated since I’ve yet to use it much, but I made a cohost profile, in case I wanna try it out someday.

Update
Posted 2 years agoHi all, due to a number of reasons, May has been a pretty stressful month. A lot of it has to do with personal IRL stuff, so I won't get into too much detail, but short of it is: I've only drawn about a third of what I aimed to do back when May 1st rolled around.
Not to say I've been inactive, or I haven't had any fun this month, just that the time I could make for fun stuff, like drawing and friends and games has been sporadic, amongst all the surprise dominoes of personal IRL awfulness.
On art: I'm currently still doing lineart & flat color for the looong-overdue Egg Day/Mayternity pic, done a few doodles here and there, including updated looks for my OCs from April, and some stream overlay stuff; I intend to post most after the Egg pic is done.
So, sorry to anyone who's been waiting or wondering why my page has been dormant for most of the month. I am alive! Just got confronted with a surprise mini-boss known as "May 2023." *sigh* x'3

Quick word on the Policy Update & Addendum
Posted 2 years agoI've been seeing a few rather disheartening journals posted by some artists I followed, concerning the policy update FA posted a few days ago. Just gonna chime in with a quick observation based on something I was writing in response elsewhere:
The original update FA posted could've been worded a bit better, but they've since appended a clarification on the update that clears up the wording/intention a bit, even including a bullet-point list. I suggest you read it if you haven't.
FA doesn't want prepubescent bodies/proportions/anatomy to appear in NSFW art, period, which is completely reasonable.
This isn't even that big of a change, they already have a policy which covers these issues, and all they're trying to do is add to their previous policy to address even more of the loopholes some out there use to sexualize child proportions on the site, primarily concerning Pokemon/Digimon art.
Let me emphasize, for example: There's a really big difference between an adult thin/flat-chested character design in NSFW, which is fine, and prepubescent proportions stretched to a larger height, which is not fine in the slightest; That's the sort of distinction they want to make clear.
I'm rather sad to see some artists on FA getting mad about this, and jumping to conclusions, and announcing going off to worse sites; It really is much simpler and more reasonable than what some are going on about.
Please read the update's addendum instead of getting in a huff and storming off to sites that shouldn't even be allowed to persist, like that horrible Inkbunny.
FA isn't perfect, but policy updates like they've been doing are good & long overdue. Please relax.
UPDATE: FA has just added a 3rd addendum, a full 14 question FAQ that goes even more in depth on what the update means. So, by all means, go read that. They're basically clearing up what I tried to explain above and even more.

Lil Update
Posted 2 years agoComputer's set up! Re-installed a bunch. Had to re-do my OBS stuff from scratch, so spent some time making a new baseline setup for that. I hope to be continuing streams on the Egg/Mayternity pic till it's done.
By the way. my sleep schedule sorta went all over the place this past month, and currently I've settled into being awake more in the evenings & afternoons (Pacific). As such, drawing is now more of an after-IRL work thing, which isn't bad, in one key way it's nicer—I don't have to cut it short due to work starting, it's like a treat I can go into the wee hours of the night doing.
So, expect streams to happen later in the day on weekdays, weekends are still a "whenever there's time" thing :3
Also, there's some stuff I've been wanting to try out for a looong time, but couldn't run on my old machine. Now that I feasibly can, I wanna make time to learn & return to some more art mediums. Might not share anything on that for a while, but thought you should know. :3
Anyways, to more arts, sharts & ovi-plrrts~ ^w^

BIG NEWS
Posted 2 years agoAt long last, I'll be receiving a new computer near the end of April. :3c
I was able to get a loan to consolidate my debts. The total I requested left enough remainder to... purchase the new computer I've been after~
Now I can actually put aside Patreon & Commission money as actual savings & such, while paying off the loan for the next few years. :3
Does this mean I'll be closing commissions soon? Nope! I'll pause starting any new commissions till May, but my Form will still be open for more idea submissions, if you'd like to get on the queue (no invoice/payment required till I start working on it in May, if accepted.) Cause in a month, I'll be able to actually work on stuff free of glitches (hopefully), and finally get to animate something at a decent pace again down the road. x'3
While I still have a debt to pay, I won't have the worry/headache of dealing with a computer on it's last legs anymore. I can't wait. ^w^
For the rest of April, I'll be working on a new Egg Day pic—which I suppose will technically be a Mayternity pic by the time it’s done x’3
I’ll give this old 2013 computer I've been using this whole time a good symbolic farewell with it, heh :3
Nope! Lil Update
Posted 2 years agoIt's been a little while since I wrote one of these, so here's a little brief update. :3
Been very busy with IRL stuff lately, but drawing stuff when I can.
I haven't streamed in a little while, running OBS & CSP on my current old computer do not mix well. It got to a point that I couldn't tolerate the lag & glitching & crashes—I just wanted to draw the most recent commission I posted without that headache, very relieved I did. I've been doodling a little since, keeping my Patreon Discord up to date on WIPs.
The main issue is it not switching tools properly, like it sticking on an eraser for too long, or lag obstructing pen detection leading to having to redraw lines over & over, etc.
I intend to try streaming once more with a heavily reduced OBS setup, halving the framerate, removing the looping videos (Including the but wiggle :<) to see if it'll allow CSP to run alright, but if it keeps glitching out, I'm just gonna continue drawing offline while I'm on this computer.
Speaking of computers, currently 18% of the way into the goal of buying a new computer. (see the goal on my Ko-fi.) Thanks to both support on Patreon & the most recent Commission for helping getting a bit closer to it. :3c
My IRL Income is tied up in paying down moving/emergency credit debts for quite some time & the usual monthly bills, so the support I get for my artsy stuff (after fees) is being put aside to go directly to a new computer, so I can make more larger artsy stuff down the road. ^^
In case you didn't know, my Commission Form is Open, and I'll be leaving it open until that goal is reached, so if you're interested now or later on, feel free to read my TOS & submit an idea whenever—I read them all & try to respond as soon as I can. :3
One more thing, I've yet to begin making an Egg Day pic, been wanting to just doodle in what time I can spare atm, but I do have some ideas & a small list of characters, so that'll happen at some point.
Despite going to be definitely late to it, it's nice to see all the bun & egg art beginning to go around now. This & Maternity are fun times to browse—much like how new HyperScat arts really start going around in August & onwards. (Pretty much the only two times of year I like to celebrate x'3)
Anyways, take care out there. :3c

Changed billing model for Patreon
Posted 2 years agoDue to my commission discount perks being perpetual-while-subscribed, rather than month-based, today I have switched to Patreon's Twitch-style model, where the day you sub is the day you renew.
Apologies for any confusion that occured this week due to the previous 1st-of-the-month model.

COMMISSION NEWS
Posted 2 years agoIn the goal of purchasing a new computer, and alleviating some debts I have, at last I'll be re-opening for commissions soon. I'm thinking March 1st. I've made a new commission sheet, which I'll upload here when I officially open.
Unlike previous openings, I will not be closing after a week, I will be staying open and considering submissions for as long as possible. As you might expect, that means I'm shifting into a full-on Queue structure with this. Accepted commission ideas will be added and worked on in turn. Invoices will only be sent once your spot in the queue is up, etc. I've updated my Terms Of Service. so I highly suggest you read it via that link if interested. (But, in case you don't, it'll be part of the updated Commission Form, so you can read it there too, after it's open.)
For planning purposes, here’s a look at the new prices [all $USD]:
BASELINE COMMISSION (includes 1 Pose & 1 to 2 Characters)
Full Service (Sketch > Lines > Color > Shading): $175
Sketch Only: $50
ADDITIONS
Additional Poses: $50 each
Can be moments before or after the initial pose, but must be part of one continuous angle/shot.
3 or more Characters: $30 per added character
My OCs are half-off, provided I have final say on their inclusion.
DISCOUNTS
Patreon subscribers at the $5 & $10 tiers can use the following:
PrEGGnant & Gassy ($5 tier): 10% off final total.
Half A Dozen Eggs & "Chocolate Fudge" ($10 tier): 20% off final total.
Till March & onwards :3

Update on Streams
Posted 2 years agoFollow-up to this Plan for February journal (worth a look): https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10465471/
I might stream a little less/intermittently for the moment. Whenever I get to the later stages in pics, or attempt to animate something, it causes really bad performance/llag, like stalling for 6-8 seconds and glitching out tool-switching commands.
Adding OBS into the mix makes it even worse, as some of you might be able to tell when nothing happens onscreen at times.
(My computer's from 2013 FYI, so nothing makes it run well, just slightly better than before.)
I'm gonna try working with smaller canvas sizes (relative to my usual very large starting-point ones), that seems to help a little, alongside not running OBS. SO, I'll still be streaming since I really enjoy it, just not aiming for every day.
Drawing/etc will continue as intended whenever I have time, regardless.
Thankyu for understanding.

Plan for February
Posted 2 years agoMain things I'm aiming to do this month:
1. Finish up 4P2C Commission & Ellie Example (the latter for a commission sheet.) [Need to line one more pose on the former, continue color on both, and begin shading.]
2. Update my commission form & TOS with new prices and some rule amendments. [Already have some ideas, thanks to some very helpful suggestions.]
3. Increase Patreon commission discount perks slightly (no change to tier prices tho!)
4. Open for commissions, and stay open thru the year until I can afford a new computer. [Goal visible on my Ko-fi & Streams.]
5. Draw some Animal Crossing characters and private stuff amongst the above.
Whether I'm sucessful or not in all of these, I hope everyone has a good month, and always: Thankyu for enjoying and supporting my arts. ^w^

Ostriches
Posted 2 years agoBit of a vent:
I dunno if this stems from my lack of trust, or depression in general, but I’ve noticed over time I have a really bad tendency of feeling ostracized.
Like, when reading into situations, jumping into that kind of thinking over all else.
Often furs are just busy, like me, and times rarely sync up, but behind it all there’s this pervasive feeling that any lessening of interaction is a prelude to full-on ostracizing, only diluted by some kind of interaction later on, rinse-repeat; It’s really unhelpful of my mind and depresses me a lot. I assume I can’t be the only one saddled with thinking this way.
I don’t expect to have any long-term close relationships or associations, let alone close at all, especially drawing the fetishes I do. But I’m not helping myself any by constantly thinking stuff’s “over” whenever I’m on the end of silence for a while, but never the reverse; It’s simply unfair of me.
If I can’t get rid of it, might as well talk about it. I’m no therapist, and certainly could never talk with one about my main fetishy Furry part of life here, but getting thoughts like this out of my head and written down can sometimes help.
On a lighter note, drawing on the current couple of sequences in my queue is going at an alright pace. Got more lines & color to do before shading either of them, but every bit of work on them I can make time for gets ‘em closer to complete. Thanks for reading.

Skunks done (public post next week)+Update on what's next
Posted 3 years agoSkunks pic is done! ^w^ Public post of it will be next week.
In case anyone hasn't seen my Carrd Queue, next up is: I'll be finishing up a postponed 4-pose hyperscat commission from October. The roughs for it were completed before mid-Oct happened, so I'll be picking up with cleanup sketches & onwards!
After that's done, I'll be opening up my commission form, probably for a while too! So if you're interested, please look out for that when it happens. :3
(I hate to say it, but I really do need to raise some money ASAP. Not just for a new computer, but now also to help with paying down credit debts. Side-note: It's getting harder to properly animate on this nearly deacde-old comp, CSP can lag like molasses at moments, and those moments are steadily increasing, so the sooner I can buy a new computer, the better.)

Outage & Weather
Posted 3 years agoI experienced a 24-hour power outage. I feel very out-of-it from it, have had to throw out around $100-$150 I had in perishable food (I have some non-perishable & unopened stuff tho, so I should be fine for now), and am dreading the continuing stormy weather in my area that likely had some hand in it.
I don't usually like to get into IRL details in this artsy escapism zone too much, but when they affect my ability to do anything, and/or are completely out of my control, I feel I should mention it while I can, cause I don't like dissapearing for anyone else.
Now that power's back on tho, and hopefully will continue to be back on, I'm gonna continue doing my art thing where I can, after replacing food, and continuing my restarted ACNH game a bit, cause holy fuck I need something to take my mind off of the literal long dark that was yesterday.
I'll be fine, I just hope another outage like that doesn't happen, but if it does, I hope it's far, far shorter.
