Trade Information
General | Posted 15 years agoI actually do enjoy doing trades, but not out of the blue. Most of the time I am the one who initiates a trade but please feel free to ask! I will also post a journal to announce that I am open for trades.
A lot of what I do is physical: badges, care boxes, chainmail, etc. So unless you also do something physical, I will likely stick to art-only trades. However, I am very willing to do art/stuff trades! It depends on what you want and what you do. :)
Starting a trade:
Anything you see on my commission info, badge commission info, chainmail commission info, and special commission info pages are all up for trade. If you see something you might want to trade for, please let me know. I will then see what you offer and ask you about what I would like.
In general, both sides of the trade should be about equal. If you want a $30 chainmail dice bag from me, I'm going to want $30 worth of stuff from you.
If we are going to do a badge trade, or otherwise trade things that must be mailed, we're fine because we each must pay for shipping. If I am mailing stuff to you, than please account for that in the value of stuff I will be asking for you. Likewise, if you are mailing me something and I am not mailing something to you, I will take that extra cost into account for whatever it is you are going to get from me.
My side of the trade:
Once the trade has started and we have figured out what each of us is doing for the other, I will add you to the Trade section of my art queue, where I will keep updates of the progress of my side of the trade. Depending on what it is I am making/doing for you, I could be done very quickly or it might take awhile (such as I had to order extra rings for your chainmail dice bag) I will notify you in that case. As soon as my half is done, I will again notify you and- if I have to mail it- I will.
Your side of the trade:
Depending on what it is you are doing, I understand that it could take some time to complete. While I am often patient enough to the point where I might otherwise forget we were doing a trade in the first place, I'd rather not be waiting for your half for 2 or 3 or 4 months. When finished, let me know and let me see! :D Then, if need be, mail it to me.
Trade completion:
Once each of us have fulfilled our side of the trade, the trade is complete.
Additional information:
If you ask for a trade and I decline, please don't be offended. It likely isn't that I don't think your work is good enough or that you are not worth my time- chances are, you might have a style I don't particularly care for. And there's nothing wrong with that. After all, you wouldn't start a badge trade with me if you didn't like the way I draw! Don't be afraid to ask- worst case scenario I say no. (And there might be a time when I'm simply too busy!)
On that note, if I currently have commissions while we are doing a trade, I will handle my commissions first.

Mate Meme
General | Posted 15 years agoI normally do not do memes but this one is special because it involves the love of my life, Mercer. And today happens to mark our 10th month together. <3
1. Who eats more?
Well when I DO eat, I eat more than him. XD I also eat faster.
2. Who said “I love you” first?
Mercer did.
3. Who is the morning person?
Um, I think we both are. Mercer has the girls who dictate when he's up sometimes and he has morning classes. But my position at work has me waking up at 3:30 am a couple times a week and 6:30 the rest of the week so I'm up pretty early myself. XD
4. Who sings better?
Apparently I do but I'm so shy about my singing that I never do it. Just last night, Mercer asked me to teach him how to be better. X3
5. Who’s older?
Mercer is by 6 years, 4 months, and 10 days. XD
6. Who’s smarter?
Mercer! He is absolutely brilliant! :O
7. Whose temper is worse?
Hm. Depends on what happened at work that day for me or what video game he's playing at the moment. Lol.
8. Who does the laundry?
We both do our own laundry because we do not live together. But I think I do more laundry than him.
9. Who does the dishes?
In my house, my brother has reign over the dishwasher but Mercer does dishes in his house so I'm gonna say him.
10. Who sleeps on what side of the bed?
Mercer is on the left and I am on the right, from our POV.
11. Whose feet are bigger?
Mercer's.
12. Whose hair is longer?
Mine.
13. Who’s better with the computer?
Mercer. Again, he's a genius.
14. Do you have pets?
I have 6 cats and Mercer has 1 cat.
15. Who pays the bills?
We each pay our own so we both do!
16. Who cooks dinner?
Mercer! He cooks amazingly yummy meals and every time I try to cook, it turns out awful. XD
17. Who drives when you are together?
I do! I'm more calm on the road and I like driving and he doesn't. :)
18. Who pays when you go out to dinner?
Mercer pays most of the time. I try to pay more often though. >_>
19. Who’s the most stubborn?
I think me. I hold onto things and Mercer doesn't.
20. Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong?
Mercer. He's a much better communicator than I am.
21. Whose family do you see more?
Both. We don't live together so I see my family all the time and he sees his. But I see his mom a LOT. XD
22. Who named your pet(s)?
My mom, my brother, and I named our cats and his mom named his cat.
23. Who kissed who first?
Mercer kissed me first. :3
24. Who asked who out?
Mercer asked me out. At the time, I had no idea he was interested in me! :P
25. What did you do on your first date?
Um. We went for dinner and a movie? I don't remember. I'd have to scour my LJ to make sure. >_>
26. Who’s more sensitive?
Hm. As far as what? I think we are equally sensitive depending on the subject matter. But maybe it's me because I can PMS and he can't, LOL.
27. Who’s taller?
Mercer is.. By like 8 inches or something. I think. I dunno, I'm only 5'3".
28. Who has more friends?
I have more friends close to me and I certainly have a lot more circles and acquaintances. Me, I guess.
29. Who has more siblings?
We both have 1 younger brother.
30. Who wears the pants in the relationship?
Though we are each responsible for ourselves, I'd say Mercer because he has way more responsibilities than I do and he's better at handling things than I am. And he's way smarter, too. XD

Terms of Service
General | Posted 15 years agoMethods of payment:
I have PayPal so you can send me money to that thru MissaBlitz@aol.com. Please include a message that has your username in it, so I know who you are and all that jazz.
I also accept Wish List items as payment. Please see my Wish List journal or contact me for more details on that method of payment.
I will no longer start a commission until I have received payment. I have been burned too many times because of this. I have started, finished, and even uploaded art before and never got paid for it. Or, I'll be half way thru a piece and then the commissioner backs out and I've wasted time on art that will never be finished or paid for.
If you are commissioning a large amount of work, I will be happy to work out a payment plan with you. (For example: half up front, the rest after the first approval.) I will not finish anything, though, until I have been paid in full.
Please note: Paypal charges fees for the transfer of money. It does not seem like a lot, but it quickly adds up. Please keep this in mind if you pay via Paypal! There are websites that can calculate the Paypal fee for you once you enter in a monetary amount. You can also send the payment as a 'gift' or 'payment owed' as neither of those methods will take out a fee.
Refunds:
In the event that you have paid me for a commission and I've already started it and you decide you no longer want the art, I will do a refund for what has not yet been drawn. If I only get a sketch done, I will only keep a sketch's worth and refund you the rest.
If I have completed your commission in its entirety, I will not refund you. I give you in-progress scans and pictures so you can tell me if you want something changed. I will not accept responsibility if you do not request those changes and the final piece is not what you expect. I simply will not do a refund for buyer's remorse.
Please remember that if it took a couple of days for the money to reach me when you paid, it may take a couple of days to get back to you. This is how banks and Paypal works and is beyond my control. I will let you know as soon as I have made the transfer so you can be on the look out for it.
Media:
I am a traditional artist. I sketch with a mechanical pencil. I ink with Sharpies, Copics, or india ink pens. For my colors I use Copic and Prisma markers and color pencils.
For my chainmail, I use anodized aluminum rings and latex-free rubber rings and occasionally I use galvanized steel rings.
For lamination, I use gloss packets and heat laminators.
Process:
I will make a new journal entry advertising that I am open for commissions. At this time, it is a first-come, first-served sort of deal. Comment on that journal or note or email me to work out the details of what you'd like. I will give you a price. You then have 30 days to pay that amount. If you do not pay within that time frame, you will be removed from the slot/art queue and I will select someone else to fill your place. I will not start on your commission until I have been paid.
Once I start, I will sketch out the piece (be it a badge, full color, whatever) and send you a scan for approval. At that time, please tell me about any changes that need to be made and I will do so. After that first approval, I will "fine line" the sketch; make the pencil lines darker and more detailed, making it easier to see. This will be scanned and sent to you for the second approval. Again, please tell me if anything needs to be changed. If there are changes to be made at this stage, I will send another scan for approval. Once this sketch has been approved, I will begin inking.
Once I have inked the image, I may ask for color recommendations but I usually will not do this unless I am stuck on what colors to use. Once colored, I will send you a scan for final approval. Once you have approved it, I will upload it to my gallery unless you have said otherwise. (Such as the image is a birthday gift and cannot be uploaded until that person's birthday.)
PLEASE feel free to tell me if I've done something wrong or if you want something changed. You are PAYING for this art so I want to make sure I've got it RIGHT.
Also note that I will not typically give in-progress scans for badges, as they are small and quick commissions. Unless you have commissioned multiple badges or your character is complex, you will have to ask for in-progress pictures for badges or bookmarks.
You will also receive high-resolution scans (aka, super large images) if you ask for them. I usually email these to you so I will ask for your email address if you want the original files.
For chainmail, if you want a custom bag done, please note or email me. We will work out the details of what you want your bag to look like and then, once I have been paid, I will make the bag. (In the event that I must order more supplies to make your bag, I will inform you.) Once the bag is finished, I photograph it and then mail it to you.
The same applies for chainmail bracelets.
Shipping:
Shipping costs vary. Care boxes and piggy banks include the shipping fee in their price. Everything else varies. A few badges will be a different price than sending a ref sheet. If you ask me to mail something to you, I will tell you exactly how much it will cost. Badges are meant to be worn and I will always ship them to you. When you commission me for a badge (or multiple badges) I will include the cost to mail them in your price quote.
Badges are sent in bubble mailers for protection. The badge clip IS included in this mailer. If you order more badges then can fit into a small sized bubble mailer, I will put them into a box. The price is the same. I mail your piece(s) in whatever will fit and protect the best.
For larger commissions-to-be-shipped (piggy banks, care boxes, lots of badges, etc.) I will add a tracking number, delivery confirmation, and insurance. Unless you specify that you do NOT want these options, I will be adding them.
If you want a smaller item mailed (full color images, one or two badges, etc.) you must ASK for a tracking number, delivery confirmation, or insurance. These three options are expensive to add on and unless you have paid me for them already, I will not add them. I will generally ask about these things, though, if you ask me to mail you something.
Also note that I live in Florida and depending on where you live, it may take a few days to reach you. This is one reason why I ask about tracking numbers. I will notify you the same day I have mailed your package so that you can be on the look out for it.
I ship my chainmail items in bubble mailers. In the event that your order will not fit, I will put it in a box. The price is the same.
Artist's Rights:
As the artist, I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason. I reserve the right to cancel a commission for any reason and will return funds not used. I reserve the right to add a copy or your drawing, or a photo of your piece, to my personal portfolio. I also reserve the right to recreate your (chainmail) piece for my personal use or for sale.
Frequently Asked Questions:
If you have any questions, please ask them via a Note to me. I will not only answer you back, but I will add it to my FAQ. My FAQ can be found here.

I want stuff. You want stuff from me. I have too many bills and cannot buy stuff I want. If you buy it for me, I pay you back with art. Simple, right?
If you happen to get me something on this list, tell me right away (so I can remove it) and then let me know what you'd like in return.
Um. I got nothin' right now. I may add a thing or two here later.
Please remember to let me know if you are getting me something on this list so I can take it off the list. If you have questions, Note me. :) I will provide for you my address for shipping purposes.

Apple Tequila - flamingo
Persimmon Gin (aka Emilio) - llama

While I have these characters pretty fleshed out, I need to summarize everything into a paragraph so I don't make this is the longest journal in FA history. XD

FAQ
General | Posted 17 years agoQ: What will and won't you draw?
A: Ok, check this out..
I will draw: almost anything, anthro, feral, humans, most fetishes
I can draw, but suck at: backgrounds, super complex stuff, some fetishes
I will not draw: mecha/cars/robots/etc., Mizuki in anything sexual, cub porn, copyrighted characters
If you have any questions about these guidelines, please feel free to ask!
Q: Can you give me a quote? I have this idea, you see...
A: I will be glad to give you a quote! Once you have shared with me your idea, via refs, text description, whatever, I will assess what your project/commission will cost. Once I have given you that quote, it will be good for 30 days. If 30 days (a whole month) has passed and you have not proceeded in commissioning me, you will have to get a new quote.
Q: Will you/do you work with deadlines?
A: Yes. This of course depends on what your commission is of and what deadline you want it done by. I will always try to meet your deadline if it is reasonable but if I have other commissions ahead of yours and you want priority, I WILL charge you extra to 'skip' in line.
Q: How long can I stay on your queue?
A: If you request a quote, I will automatically add you to my queue. Quotes are good for 30 days and if you do not act within that time frame, I will remove you from the queue. If you get a new quote, you will be added back into the queue.
Q: Do you work in order of your queue?
A: Honestly, no. If I have 5 commissions and two of them are for badges, I will complete those first. Badges are small and the easiest thing for me to do. Once I have knocked those out of the way, I can spend more time working on the other commissions.
Q: Will you mail me my commission?
A: If it is a badge, absolutely! The whole point of a badge is to wear it! If you'd like me to mail you a different kind of commission, I can- just ask! There are all sorts of mailers, envelopes, boxes, etc. designed for just about everything and it will be no problem for me to find one that your piece will fit into. Just remember that fursona piggy banks and care boxes already include shipping.
Q: I commissioned you AGES ago, why is my stuff not done yet?
A: I'm terribly sorry for my lack of professionalism in making you wait so long. I typically try to complete commissions as soon as I get them in order to have a quick turn-around time. However, real life will always come first and if I see that real life has thrown a huge stumbling block my way, I will contact you and discuss with you the terms of your commission. I will explain my situation and then offer to keep you on my queue and eventually finish your commission or give you as big of a refund as I can (up to and including a full refund, depending on how much work I have done).
Please just remember that Real Life comes first. I have a job, I have school, I have a husband, two step-daughters, 3 cats and other family who will all come before a total stranger on the internet!
Q: Can I upload my commission to MY gallery?
A: Yes! You paid for it, you can show it off! All I ask in return is that you credit me. And, as the artist who did the commission, I reserve the right to upload your commission to MY gallery unless you request otherwise. (Such as the commission is a birthday gift and cannot be uploaded prior to the day-of.)
More questions with answers coming soon! For now, trivia! :)
Q: Why are you a corgi?
A: Mizuki was not always a corgi but when I found I was drifting away from her as my own representation of myself, a species change was in order and on Valentines Day in 2008 while at FWA, I changed her to a Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
