Quick Farewell to Ash
Posted 2 years agoBit late on this, but just wanted to say a quick goodbye to Ash Ketchum.
Pokémon was a huge influence on me and it was the first anime I ever saw and in a small period in my life when I stopped watching it (for reasons I don't remember right now, could have been that stupid moment kids get when they think their too old for cartoons or something like that), and he was there when I came back to the franchise, like an old friend greeting me back into a place I didn't realize I missed.
It is understandable that Ash retired, given the setting and idea of Scarlet and Violet they couldn't really adapt it with Ash at the helm, given that not only is he already a champion, but also already graduated a Pokemon Trainer School.
So...Goodbye Ash, and thank you for all the memories you gave me.

Experimenting with something new
Posted 2 years agoSo, I had a small idea that I'm gonna test out.
I'm going to try a poll-driven short story over on my Twitter (https://twitter.com/Mobysimo)! If anyone is interested, then please go check it out.
The rules will be relatively simple. I'll post a small bit of writing, and put a poll right under it. After a certain amount of time, I will choose the most popular one and go on from there. If it's a tie then I will simply flip a coin to choose between them.
I am experimenting with this I admit, but I do want to give it a shot and see how it goes! I hope that you guys join me for it!

I wanted to apologize for the slowness again and explain the reason for my lack of updates recently.
These past few months have been a total rollercoaster, starting with my exams for my first year at university, then news that my family was moving to the US. After that, added stress over getting the travel visa onto my Passport which took about a week longer than originally anticipated, then getting used to living in the US in a new house, after that I get a message that I'm banned from Ao3 for advertising my Patreon there, then my medicine ran out for like half a month, and recently it ran out for two weeks again! I got a refill for it and I'm going to try and focus more on writing in August, and I'm going to open commissions as soon as my current fic, the trade with Shadymissionary is done.
If you still wish to support me despite my mess of a schedule, you can do so at my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Mobysimo. I recently added a new bit to the tiers in which you can have a small discount to commissions when they are open depending on your tier (you have to be a Patron when the payment is due, not when I accept the comm)

Posted 3 years agoNothing else to really except I'm sorry for the slowness for the fics.
Real Life stuff has been brutal to me this month compared with getting smacked in the face with writers block didn't help either. I tried writing two stories at a time to see if that helped boost my creative juices but it didn't help
Again I am really really sorry for the slowness and I'm extremely happy to see that you guys have stuck around for my stories after all this time. I'm hoping to be able to pick things up and get the fic moving again. I'm also considering maybe writing it as a shorter story to see if that helps get things moving or if I should try writing a short, couple of pages story to warm up. Either way, I'm so so sorry and grateful that you have all stuck around despite this slump from me and the rough start to the year in regards to my stories

So I have recovered from COVID! I am free to leave isolation and I'm no longer at risk of coughing up one of my lungs every twenty minutes!
I'll be getting back to writing soon. I just want to apologize for how slow everything has been going for me.
January I wanted to get the commission done quick so I could work on another story for the month to make up for the late release of my Christmas fic. But real life decided to kick me in the dick in that regard.
So I just wanted to apologize and thank you guys for sticking around despite the big lull in content from me.

So for those that don't know because your not one of my patrons (which you should be btw), I've been sick these past few days. Today I got a test to be safe and guess what?

Luckily I'm vaccinated, but still hits hard ya know? So I'm sorry for the slowdown of story, I'll try to use the days in isolation to try and write a bit. But this thing hit me like a really nasty cold and it knocked the creative wind right out of me.... so sorry bout that
