So, a very important vet visit for my little guy is needed and I wasnt going to post up any more halloween YCHs but I need to save as much as I can, as fast as i can, so i can get him to the vet for an important dental visit thatll cost me at least 400$. Could cost me up to around 1000$.
Its a lot to save, let alone covering normal bill stuff so ill be posting a lot of stuff up over the next few days. YCHs, deals etc.

So, due to some major life changes (relationship etc) I need to make a move and thats bumped up the time for me launching my Patreon for the surprise project I had in store. Not only because Ill be focusing on moving, but because having that project to focus on will be very important to me right now. When a customer constantly tries to coax and pressure you into doing extra crap not agreed to for the price agreed on for art, that you dont want to do, or isnt even something youd do at all etc, then tries to make you feel like a jerk for it. lol @ you buddy.
I DONT need the business of someone that will keep calling me pet names even when i asked them to stop, will try and make me feel bad for not letting you break my rules enough, even when i give you more than you deserved anyhow because you paid well etc. I also dont need the business of someone that literally wants me to copy and paste something that isnt my work, onto my own work and tries making me feel bad for not doing it.
ALSO dont need the business of someone that cant keep their own reference stuff straight and wants you to mind read and expects you to just know that you have NO clue how anatomy works and that you want markings etc put in places they WOULDNT be from a certain angle etc.
I wont be abused by a customer that has no clue what they want or how making art works etc, for any amount of money.
I will work with people and most of my customers know i do what i can to make them happy but i have to draw a line and i had to do that many times with you and got abused for it, and i dont have to put up with that. Neither does anyone else. I feel sorry for the artists that do put up with it.

So, i just got back from the hospital last night, and ill be stuck in bed, resting and such, for a good bit. That means ill have plenty of time to work on some commissions to keep me from getting bored.

For some reason, my YCH pieces are being snatched up super quick now, and ive had constant work work work on a lot over the past wee or two. So in order to give myself a little break from them (so i can focus on painting stuff again) and to give myself time to work a little on the WWFF pages, ill not be putting any new YCHs out for a little bit.
No worries, there are plenty already out still! xD

UPDATE: After sending the other artist one final, and very serious email, i got a response with the finished work, thank goodness. Still a bit cranky it had to come to that before being able to get ahold of the work but it came out beautifully.

Ugh, aaaand now im not ever up for collabs again (other than the one thats left up), as the person i was doing a collab YCH commission with is not responding properly or finishing their end of the work on time. Its been over a week since they FINALLY contacted me back (after multiple emails) and told me theyd have it done in a couple of days... They have not and now i have had to send one of those emails that states that they HAVE to finish it and deliver it within a couple of days or actions will be taken.
Im afraid i may just have to contact paypal about refunding their payment and deal with the customer on my own to see what i can do to fix it.
Either way, it costs me and im very cranky about it.

Its sad when people do this kind of crap. It gives commission artists a bad name when they think they can just not only take however long they want (not finishing in allotted time) but also not communicate properly so people know whats going on or why its late etc.
Thats not professional and if you think its okay to do this, then you probably shouldnt do commission work. You SHOULD be able to tell people "Ill have it done around ___ time" and get it done around that time, give or take a couple of days or so, in case of some emergency etc, though i usually calculate that into my time anyhow. If you cant, because you are new to commissions then you keep in constant contact with the customer. If you cant because you took on a lot of work, too much for you to do an estimate finish date, then you took on too much and need to stop taking any more once you get to that point. You cannot expect customers to just sit and wait an indefinite amount of time. Especially with no communication.
And customers, you do not have to accept that kind of crap. Dont feel bad about messaging an artist every few days to a week, to ask for a simple update. Especially if they arent finished on time. If they get mad, then they really shouldnt be commissioning if they are upset by the fact that you just want simple communication on the art you paid your hard earned money for.

So, im now starting to figure up how much ill need to save for the wedding id like. Trying to keep everything under 2k.
So i figured what would be a good way to try and make a bit more for it?
A sale on normal commissions would probably not make me much at all and only stress me out with doing a bunch of work for so little, so i thought maybe a sale on watercolor painting work? Custom and predone.

Not sure though, because even on sale, watercolor work will likely run into the 100$+ territory, unless its like a headshot or something, but even so, those would still be more than what people usually like to pay for. They like super nice work for super cheap and im not all about that. I do quality work for a price that can still pay my bills and supply cost. >__>
Cause im an adult and dont get supplies bought for me and i have bills to pay. lol

At the moment my work doesnt really make me a lot of extra cash. Mostly just basics of what i need and thats it so.
I also just got supplies in to start making some cute rings but not sure on that either. Im not massively social so its unlikely ill be able to raise the amount just from my work. Ill likely have to stop commission work and just get a normal PT job or something. Maybe not. Suppose it depends on how things go once we move to a larger city. I may be able to actually get some of my predone paintings sold once we move so we will see i suppose. =P

I do intend on not doing any commission work for a couple of months, once we move to our new place, so i can work on paintings anyhow so i suppose a deal on watercolor work would be about the only thing i could offer.

Recently tried to get onto my steam account, to try and see if ARK will play on my newer PC but yeah. Couldnt log on.
Wondered if i had forgotten my account name and pass since it had been a good few months.
Then, my partner said my name wasnt on his friends list any longer so i remembered "Oh crap FA was hacked and i forgot to change my password on Steam". Since my partner gifted me ARK, we looked at his purchase history and the name it was gifted to is NOT the one I had.
So that confirmed it was hacked. Got a screencap of the profile as well, with it showing that "this user has also played as ModifiedRabbit" for Steam support. The persons profile photo is two dogs interacting.
PRETTY sure whoever hacked FA ended up with my damn Steam account. Steam support will be taking care of you buddy.
Fucking asshole.
Steam is the only way im able to play a damn game with my partner because he doesnt like the ones I play.

So I thought id give a little advice on this, since I keep having an issue with some people, on occasion.
DO NOT BID ON A YCH OR ADOPT UNLESS YOU HAVE THE MONEY!
This is about the 3rd person or so that I have had to ban from my page (so that they cannot bid on my auctions) because they either didnt read the rules when bidding and/or ignored me notes sent to them for payment.

I, and other artists, will specifically state no holds on auctions and that you must pay within a specific amount of time. Most of us leave at least a 24 hour period (which is reasonable time to see a message etc) for bidders to see a message and make their payment.
If you think that bidding and ignoring a message or time period listed is going to help somehow hold a piece for you YOU ARE WRONG. Itll only get you banned and if you end up doing it often enough, your name will likely get around to other artists and your bid will end up meaning nothing.

So, to keep that from happening, i suggest some of you (some of you are perfectly fantastic with your bidder responsibilities) learn this and dont bid unless you have the money or will within the time the auction will end, which is always listed when i start time on it. I even comment to most bidders when its being started, before changing info with that on it, so they know to check back in 24 hours time.

I will not, and should not have to, deal with people wanting me to allow them to be late on payment. I cant make exceptions or ill end up with people bidding and not paying for a long time, all the time. That isnt fair to me.
I dont care if you are a good customer, a loyal watcher etc. If you actually are a fan of my work or actually respect art and artists, you will NOT expect them to break their rules for you and let you pay late just because.


Now, if you have a REALLY GOOD reason you didnt pay, and you actually responded to my note before the 24 hours with that reason, then fine. Ive had one person do that due to paypal malfunctioning on their end. But they actually messaged me to tell me that!
I can see when someone opens my message to them and if i see that you have and still havent even messaged me within that 24 hour time I give you to pay, then you will be banned no matter what the excuse. Even if its a good one.
If you cant communicate it properly, then it must not be a good enough excuse.

Please dont be a jerk to artists like this! Only bid if you have the money for it!
(Also, dont be bidding on a bunch of stuff thinking youll only win one, only having money for one or two. When you bid, treat it like youre for sure going to win it and have that money for each one you bid on.)

So, I noticed one of my newer watchers names (I do pay attention lol) and it gave me an idea for a pinup of a female sona welding. I thought itd make a wonderful YCH.

So! As I was looking for reference for this, I ran across a couple of super old school pinups. Like the black and white photo pinup and its art that was done from it etc. The couple I saw made me want to look up more, so i did.
I found a good many of these old style of pinups and adored about half of them. lol
Needless to say, i am very motivated to do these as YCH pieces with an option of gray scale or full color.

Since there are so many that id like to do, I think I may try and put one out a day. If I can, between working on commission work, trying to do mini comic stuff again and things for shoots anyhow. That or at least one a week.
So many of them range in interest as well, so I really think they would appeal to many types of people.

Of course, as usual, many of them will have no restriction on gender or species (a couple might but not many).

The amount they charge is very worth it. I rarely buy art from other artists (as i enjoy my own style enough to do my own work) but I was super happy and excited to buy from !

So, is an artist I REALLY enjoy on here. There are a few but this one and one other are two of my faves.
Twistedteeth just recently posted up a new species of cats with squid faces and i loved them. I dont usually bother with sonas, as im not really a furry myself (just do the art for people), but i use to draw mini comics of my dog and his shenanigans and thought one of these would be perfect to represent our new cat Frumpy. (AKA The Destroyer)

So, I saved some money and im getting one made! I cannot wait. Im very excited about it and I cant wait to use him in some mini comics.
