Well...crap.
Posted a year agoWhelp.
Long and short, I've lost a number of my project files from my art program - specifically my personal doodles and works.
How? I use the app Procreate to do my drawings on an iPad Air (3rd gen), and fat-fingered my personal drawings folder when selecting a number of spare canvases to delete. Procreate notably does NOT have a way to recover files deleted in this way. Complicating things further, I don't use iCloud and hadn't backed up my files on my iPad in a very long time.
I've tried a couple of options for file recovery, however they are 1) Extra costs and fees I am unwilling to pay. 2) By and large disingenuous and shady about whether or not they are premium, and use 'gotcha' marketing that I am not endorsing. 3) Don't seem to be capable of recovering the actual project files in whichever format Procreate natively saves said files.
I'm not impressed with myself on something like this, but it's also not the end of the world. By and large, those projects were the unfinished sketches and WIPs of my previous journal, and some of the files for my completed works on my gallery here (specifically my non-commissioned work).
It's not the end of the world, however. I have WIPs and privately sent sketches I can work back from, and likely will be adjusting my practices to avoid further screw-ups.
TL;DR: I have fat fingers and unintentionally deleted all of my personal sketches into oblivion, likely with no reasonable means of recovery. Oops.

Dusty dusty!
Posted a year agoI live.
For folks interested, I have found I have less time than I expected to indulge opportunities like offering commissions. Among other things I also need to work out what I can commit to offering, as well as figuring out a workflow that works for myself and potential clients.
For now, I'll only be able to offer commissions to close associates and friends - as they better know my personal situation, and have the patience to deal with my schedule and inconsistent motivation.
Otherwise I have been working on various ideas, most of which haven't left the sketch stage. To that end, I have a question:
Are folks interested in seeing these less-than-finished sketches? Do folks only want to see finished works from me (fully lined and coloured/etc)?
Your time and feedback is appreciated!

Happy New Year!
Posted 3 years agoHappy New Year everyone!
Here's hoping this year is better than the last couple years. I don't have much to say beyond that, as I am a blank space of few words.
In an effort to turn my career more towards arts and creativity, I've decided to open Commissions! See [url=https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10092153/this journal[/url] for more details.
Otherwise, thank you all for your interest and support!

And we're back!
Posted 4 years agoSo, after some umpteen years, I've decided to blow off the dust on this account.
Why? Because I can. Because I can look back on my previous thoughts and reevaluate what I thought then, and now.
So, to keep my introspection from getting too deep or too far into a stream of consciousness: I'm back!
