those who have stumbled upon my journals through the last couple of years might not be surprised at all that i’m having health issues again; it happens frequently. i’m here to inform anyone who might be interested that this time i disappeared due the sequence covid>infectious arthritis>acute arthritis that i’m currently dealing with. it affects my ability to draw (currently it’s mainly the speed) a lot and i hope to recover soon by taking my medication and following a strict anti-inflammatory diet.
i’ve already been through this in my teenage years and last time it took me more than two years to get into remission. i hope it happens faster this time but… yeah. it seems like i’m going to have these joint pains for a few months at least. i’m sorry for taking such a long pause with the commissions and pre-discussed pieces. just wanted to clarify what’s going on here. thank you so much for your patience!
anyway, it’s not possible for me to rot without drawing anymore — both mentally and financially. also the recovery’s dynamic is slow but it definitely is there. so lately i started to draw again on the days i feel better! and today is the day and i want to celebrate it with a little something i’ve been thinking about for quite a while now! i’m finally gonna test streaming of my process on picarto. it’s exciting and i want to invite you to the grand opening, ha-ha! the image is going to be relatively blurry but this issue is to be solved soon. i would appreciate it a lot if you could give me some feedback on the screen streaming speed and tell me if the music is heard; etc

Posted 2 years agoso uhh yeah apparently my irresistible urge to help stray animals and befriend and spend time with them strikes once again! so currently i’m eating tons of antibiotics and gonna get the first set of the vaccines tomorrow. the medicine makes me kinda dizzy and there’re a lot of nervous movements of my last brain cell. that’s the main reason i’ve been so quiet recently… i apologize for not responding to messages. i feel a lot better now and i hope the trend continues and i gonna be productive again!! please don’t worry! sending no homo swamp toad smoochies

but my best friend
with whom i live got covid. also the infection(s) i got some time ago was from the stray cat we took under our care a few weeks ago and she needs a lot of attention, thoughtful treatment and veterinary assistance aka weekly examination and blood tests etc. she has feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), acute intestinal infection, severe liver damage, middle ear otitis, vestibular syndrome, a little skull deformation (and only one eye) and she’s completely deaf.
this situation takes a lot of time and money and mental calories of mine since i take care of both the cat and my bro so bc of the chores i didn’t even have time to draw in the last three days or so and today i had to take my sedatives at some point to go through it altogether with the news from ukraine and poland. i write this to let you know that i’m very grateful for all of your comments and messages but i have no power to communicate well at the moment — and also the projects aka commissions are going to be delayed a bit more. i didn’t forget about anything my dudes! thank you for your patience.

and to the vet — just in case someone is interested in the cat situation. (she is wonderful and she’s potentially looking for a new home after she’s recovered!)
>me and my friend met her on the street around three weeks ago. she had severe coordination issues and was crying for help. due my own experience i can’t imagine anything more terrifying than not being able to control your own body and not realizing where you are and what’s going on in the same time. so there was no way i could pass through? i’m happy she’s with us but this whole situation is going to be an important life lesson for me since it’s the first time the animal i bring home to help to needs this amount of very specific and astonishingly expensive treatment (could be worse tho… but i can forget about top surgery for another couple of years), contains that danger in its organism for me and my friends and the animals who live with us already. but!!! i really hope that the treatment will help her and i keep my fingers crossed despite there’s no way she recovers to be in absolutely healthy and independent state with the damage to the nervous system she already has at this point.
i’d like to say she’s gonna live with me forever now but i’m not in my home country and i have no idea when i’ll be able to go back home (?? months? years? decades?) and also i don’t know for how long i can stay in the country i’m currently in now. and you know how dangerous airplane flights are for animals… even for the ones without any special physical conditions.
> we met her on the street on october the 19th. she had severe vestibular syndrome symptoms and screamed. we took her to the closest veterinary clinic immediately. they made two injections (and another two approximately on october the 22th) and she was left in their feline hostel until october the 24th. they said there’s no need in analysis despite i asked them about it and i’m sorry i gave her in their hands. the only medication they prescribed was oridermyl. i asked for basic vaccines for her (which were a half of the injections they did i hope) and they said she’ll be ready to contact with another cat. since october the 24th despite their words she lives separately on our balcony (a glassed and warm one) with a strict quarantine — there’re a cat and a dog in the flat.
on october the 30th i noticed that her coordination issues worsened and got the feeling the treatment is wrong. she sneezed a lot. a few times i caught her sneezing with a little blood (capillary judging by its amount and color). she had diarrhea the whole time (at the hostel as well). also she’s absolutely deaf. there is a significant amount of serum and dirt in both of her ears. more and more comes out each time i clean them. sometimes there are scratching noises of her teeth when she eats; probably she had a skull trauma since she’s missing one eye as well. she has Great, enormous appetite this whole time.
despite we did our best to quarantine (masks, gloves, antiseptic, boiling her bowls, cleaning the balcony) me and my friends i live with got sick with the same symptoms — middle ear otitis, trigeminal nerve pains, diarrhea. i also got cystitis and severe abdominal pains. my immune system is weak and i still deal with otitis since then. also another cat was sneezing a bit and we’re worried it could be fip virus. what can we do to help her since the symptoms are weak and appeared only a couple of days ago? (she also might got a cold while spending time on another balcony — a cold one).
her weight on november the 1st — 2,6kg.
since november the 1st i started a new treatment for the one-eyed cat myself:
everyday:
* augmentine (25-30mg twice a day)
* chophytol artichoke hepatoprotector (100mg once a day)
* ear and chin cleaning with andorex chlorhexidine (once a day)
* siprogut ear-drops (twice a day)
twice a week (separately):
* vitamin B12 (250mkg)
* vitamin B2 (0,4mg)
* folic acid (200mkg)
i’ve started to feed her with boiled chicken breasts with rice instead of the wet food for sterilized cats.
since november the 1st i used to give her these medications as well:
* 250mg of smecta (reflor analog) twice a day (stopped after diarrhea was gone)
* acidophilus probiotic twice a day (stopped after diarrhea was gone)
* otrivine pediatric 0,5mg one a day (stopped after two days since her nose got red a bit)
* oridermyl (stopped after i realized it is oily and prevents ear cleaning)
* chamomile tea solution for ears and chin cleaning (was replaced with andorex chlorhexidine)
the dynamic was significantly positive. but on november the 5th i noticed her hind legs were slipping and coordination degraded back and got her to the veterinary academy. i was told to continue the current treatment and got the analyses and x-ray.

Posted 3 years agoi got middle ear otitis and acute intestinal infection so i won’t be able to communicate well etc for a few days or so and commissions and other projects are going to be delayed a bit… i hope to reincarnate soon. pray for the toad and thank you for your understanding

she perfectly (!!!) knows english, ukrainian and russian languages and has a great experience with translating stuff in variety of spheres including specific professional ones. but anything would fit! site administration, contacting with clients, etc. the main criteria is an appropriate policy towards Ukraine from the company or a private employer. the current company she’s working on has decided to make a disgusting move towards employees with ukrainian citizenship — including my friend.
$500 per month would be a wonderful option as well as higher ones but lower ones also are extremely welcomed!!! the situation is kinda an alert one so we’d be extremely grateful for sharing this post with others as well as for sharing any helpful information with us

Posted 3 years agodue cats’ population here in turkiye i already have a stack of a few cat bodies. each one i got cruelty free which is number one rule for me! all of them were hit by cars.
at home i’d already reincarnate them into skeletons and jewelry but here i don’t have any instruments (and customers as well). but i _really_ want to!
i still have a dream of opening an etsy shop but unfortunately it isn’t an option right now. so i thought it’s appropriate to ask here if someone’s interested in getting something special and made for them!
what i got here:
two cat skeleton bones (one adult and a teen one)
one cat mummy (it’s an experiment for me; i’m thinking about tattooing it but it’s a clean freshly mummified mummy rn)
a half of a kitten’s skeleton bones
five frozen cat embryos
frozen cat heart
a skull and a leg bones of a huge dog
what i can make out of it:
jewelry of any kind
mummies (embryo ones as well)
skeletons (articulated or/and moving ones)
soft toys encrusted with skull and/or bones
i’m especially intrigued about the full skeletons! they can be made in any pose you want and also i’m thinking of creating an anthropomorphic one lately. probably someone would like to adopt one with it being not only a new friend but a reference as well. also i can paint them with plain colors or an ornament.

Sir Plod is in Heaven now
Posted 3 years agomy dearest frog son is dead. we’ve never managed to get Him here in time. so he died alone. he had so many wonderful years to live but he never will. i will never forgive myself. the worst nightmare of mine is now true. i would never be able to describe 1/10 of my love for Him. he is my sunshine, my universe. and he was taken by cruel circumstances of this disgusting war and my coward foolishness. please don’t write me any condolences except you have an extreme willingness for some reason… i’d appreciate a silent understanding a lot tho. it’s just… yeah. Sir Plod is my life. my soulmate. my son, my sun. it’s him on my avatar here by the way, huh… what a wonderful gentleman. i hope He is happy in frog heaven and eats a lot of delicious butterflies and he has beautiful butterfly wings himself and he can watch my little pony any time he wants up there. he loves to watch cartoons a lot.

there’s something i wanted to say to you for a long time but i don’t have much mental power lately and spend most of time with “i’ll say it later”… but here we are
so… long story short: when i left my home emergently unfortunately i was separated with my son — Sir Plod. he is an amazing and intelligent and charming pixie frog. he is my family, my muse and protection. tbh… i suffer a lot without him. not to mention these days (months) are not easy to handle at all
i hope we will reunite as soon as possible… and we organized a fundraising to make this dream come true. i’ll be extremely grateful if you donate or share this information. also i’m aggressively opened for commissioning! (as always — but more furious now)

i’m here to tell you what’s going on with me and — more importantly — with His Pickleness.
i left my home the next day the war started. it wasn’t an easy decision but awesome people from inst frog community assured me He’ll be able to join me safely — so here i am, in Izmir, Türkiye. and Sir Plod still is in moscow with a wonderful friend of mine 75.fol
long story short: we need your help to move Him here safely. unfortunately, there is only one IPATA (a community specializing on safe animal transportation) member in russia and she never answered me after saying she’ll be extremely busy for a couple of weeks. so the only one option left i was able to find is shipping Sir Plod with a human bodyguard. the human guardian of His Majesty will need to get an airplane ticket to move here… and it isn’t affordable for us. i could try to find someone who flies here from moscow anyway… but i can’t? i just can’t entrust Sir Plod in stranger’s hands. i won’t know if they are careful and responsible enough. Sir Plod is my child; my sun and the light of my life. i can’t risk in any way and i’d never forgive myself if anything happens with him.
and also i couldn’t find any trustable companies who deliver live animals and still are ready to communicate with russia in any way. if you know the one, please contact me!
so… yeah. to afford His traveling we need to fundraise an impressive amount of $1250. these money will cover а taxi trip for my trusted friend, ticket to izmir (the shortest one since it will be an especially stressful ride for Sir Plod) and airlines’ pet fees.
obviously there’re tons of fundraisers who need your help much more than we do… especially these days. but with full confidence i can assure you that i’ll donate the same amount of money (or even more) to Ukrainian charity organizations. the war tears my heart apart as well as millions of other hearts. i do donate a quarter of my monthly income to Ukraine. there’s no other way.
the thing is i’m donating about $80 per month… but i need Sir Plod to be with me — and He needs me. His health is quite unstable due the conditions He went through being a little potato so he needs a careful eye to look after him. also i want him to move a lot and to leave his tank every day to explore and enjoy the world… to be the most healthy physically and mentally frog he can. Sir Plod is my family and my desire — as well as probably yours if you follow us!
having Sir Plod right near me would allow me to feel so much better and to work more productively to earn and donate more.
of cause i don’t know what’s going on in Sir Plod’s head but i’m pretty sure we have a bond; being a pet keeper you probably know what i mean. together we’ve been through a lot… and it would be incredibly amazing to let him have an active and bright life again. not only sitting in a tank 24/7 but exploring the world out there and being told He is Precious two hundreds times per day. His paws and booty being checked regularly to be sure He is healthy and gaining muscle with running outside the tank. also it’s obviously much more hot here! i’m sure Sir Plod would love an opportunity to walk outside the tank daily and be hot (isn’t he?)

since evacuating from my homeland i lost my main income (tattooing and selling cruelty free taxidermy and jewelry with bones); i thought i’ll be able to get some money through commissions, ychs and patreon if i work hard enough. but i was wrong
everything i was capable of archiving for a year are 70 subscribers in twitter and 100 in instagram. it isn’t about ego and something… there’s no secret you can’t get enough commissions to survive with these numbers. there’s nothing to be ashamed of. i wasn’t trying hard enough and i’m not good enough. anyway i can’t continue to live on my friends’ money and make an i’m-okay-with-it-face anymore. i have to find a job. and yes — i won’t be able to work and to draw altogether. i’m not that healthy at all
i still have a tiny hope tho… because i’m hopeless. i want to ask you to share my art on other platforms (links are in profile) esp if you have any audience there… and to subscribe? please help me. i need your help.

last night i successfully escaped r*ssia. it seems like we leaked through the last gap. i’m here in istanbul with my friend family: cur from r*ssia and ros from ukraine. we feel free and safe here. i dreamed about migrating for years so… i’m happy i guess (looks like peace after years of fear is the happiness itself). i’m breathing. no one stares at me at the streets. people are smiling here. i feel okay without pepper spray in my pocket. yes. probably i’m happy despite most of my close ones still are in russia and ukraine and my heart hurts for them.
i think i won’t resume posting on social media (except patreon) until my dear friend from ukraine — dean — is more safe than now. she is trapped in her flat in kharkiv. missiles are harshly damaging residential buildings there right now. i’m praying for her.

before we realized we have to run RIGHT NOW i wanted to organize a charity commission taking to donate all the outcome to Ukrainian foundations… but i’m glad i didn’t because we are here now and we have no money and we need not only to eat but to pay for rent (back home we shared my parents’ living space and had no such duty). also there is a new law in russia and russian citizens who donate money to ukraine go to prison as well as the ones who post «fake» information about what’s going on. huh. what a fucking surprise huh.
we are refugees now. back at home most of my income were tattooing and taxidermy but the only thing left are art commissions and patreon… gulp.
so… we are 1000% open for commissions and any projects and we would be extremely thankful for sharing and joining our art-related social media.
