This weekw as fantaAASTIIIC :D
So came up for a visit and it was amaaaziing :> Although Voe got sick just a few days in Dx. Still fun though :>
We spent most of the trip staying with my friend who lives in the city. We've stayed with her and her family before, so the warm welcome was much appreciated. Her family is just the most adorable thing in the universe, and it really brightened the holiday and the trip to have them welcoming us with open arms.
We went to South Street and King of Prussia, then ventured into Jersey for Cherry Hill and stuff like that. The most memorable aspect of the trip, however, was Furstivus!
The con was just fantastic. I was pretty insecure at first, but I made a ton of new friends, and even met some people I never got to see in person before :o
I would firstly like to thank  shiacoft,  peppercoyote,  yapkat,  Sozan_Ryker,  ImaginarySkye and  azur for hanging out with me so much and being my PAWesome new FURiends :3c (God these puns are great, right?)
But yes, it was such great fun! The whole thing was pretty great for being organized in like two months. This makes me want to go to Anthrocon this summer, so we will see how that works out... hahah

So it was really fucking awesome.
Met lots of wonderful people, got to see some interesting folks, and met some sweet suiters who were really personable and fun to be around. I loved meeting everyone and had a wonderful time overall. I was totally and completely proved wrong. My preconceived notions were false entirely, and if anyone is apprehensive about going to an event, get some good friends and just go for it.

Having some recent discussions with people has kind of made me realize some something. I really lack this inherent sense of pride when it comes to the fandom.
I'm going to an event this weekend, and I just feel so unbearably anxious about the whole thing. I'm trying to be honest with myself to determine the cause, and I just can't understand what's making me so nauseatingly nervous about the whole thing.
