So with the Thanksgiving weekend and all of my plans for the most part falling through has left me with a lot of extra time, time to write! So this makes three updates this week? And four updates in two weeks? Sadly, don't get used to that cadence. I just made good use of my free time, free time which will be lessened over the coming month. Still, I should be good for at least two updates in December, if not three.

Chapters are taking a little longer to craft, though, as I no longer have templates to work off of. I've surpassed the previous version of this story, and while I have the plot and characters mostly planned out until the end of the book (though I'm tweaking the overall narrative still as well), it's a fair bit more work putting things together. But still a lot of fun!

Thanksgiving treat, I put Chapter 10 up a bit earlier than I had originally planned. This chapter brings a lot of pieces together (and you'll notice it has the same name as the story, dun dun duuuun!), and yet still leaves a few more questions. It's also the last chapter I wrote 10 years ago that I'm basing my current work on, so starting in chapter 11 (which is already mostly written anyhow) I'm off the rails! Granted, I do have an outline for the rest of the story at varying levels of detail, but still, time to stretch my creative muscles a bit further. Anyhow, happy Thanksgiving and enjoy!

Chapter 9 is up! Only 4 days after Chapter 8! Chapter 9 is also mega long in comparison to previous chapters, as there's quite a bit going on. Also note that I'm still doing touch ups to the adult version of the chapter, so if you want some Matt and Jay sexy time, you'll want to come back later today when I get that finished up ;)

So Chapter 8's been finished for a bit, but I just finished Chapter 9 today. I like having a buffer of one chapter, so I'll likely post 8 tomorrow or Tuesday. With what I unofficially call "Book 1" complete, "Book 2" will end up having a lot more going on. The world and premise is set up, we've been introduced to a good chunk of the cast, And next we'll see what falls out of all of that.

I decided not to do NaNoWriMo this year because of my already full schedule. It would have pretty much cut out Merge entirely for a month. On the other hand, I managed to write 6000 words in 24 hours. Chapter 9 apparently kinda wrote itself. I'm pretty excited for the upcoming arc, and I promise there's some good sexy time in Chapter 9 if you're so inclined, too ;)

So Chapter 7 is up, both versions ( ! ). As hinted at before, I'm trying a small experiment that I'm hoping won't bring down the wrath of some deity where I post two versions of the same chapter. One version, the Mature version is "clean", whereas the Adult version has an extra scene with Matt being a little naughty all by his lonesome. I have no idea if this experiment will work, but we'll see what happens. Do note that both versions are identical with the exception of the extra scene, so if you read one, don't feel like you're missing out by not reading the other.

Chapter 6 is up, huzzah! This is the first one that I've written completely from scratch rather than reusing older material. The old Chapter 6 was terrible. I introduced new characters for shits and giggles, used them as Deus Ex Machina later, and they weren't even that compelling. This chapter actually advances the plot, gives us more insight into characters we already know, and just works a lot better overall.

Chapter 7 shall be verrrry interesting. It's written, but of course I need to go through an editing pass or two first. I'll be posting two versions of the same chapter. One version of the chapter will be Adult rated, and oh so much fun. However, if some would rather have the not Adult rated version, that will exist as well. Call it an experiment. We'll also see if sex sells.

New chapter is up, a bit later than I expected, but I may have been distracted by a certain game with Pandas that just came out. It's been sooo good. Still looking for more commissioners for character artwork, so if interested, please send me a note!

So I fixed the stupid formatting of the stupid RTF documents, and converted them to *.txt so they'd just show up in FA rather than having to download the files. Apparently the editor I was using (Word/WordPad) was doing stupid things as far as displaying RTF files goes and where I thought I had double spacing between paragraphs, I actually didn't. So the files have been stripped of special characters, explicitly double-spaced, and converted to text. Should be much to read. I wonder how many people took a look at those files and then just walked away when they saw the crazy formatting. I know I would have!

So very happy to have Chapter 4 of Merge up. Normally I'm a couple chapters ahead, but having completely scrapped my original Chapter 6 and re-writing it in its entirety has me a little behind. Still about 20% of the way through it, but I still have Chapter 5 banked, so I have a little time. I'm trying to keep my posts approximately once every 2 weeks (it's about as fast as I can go given my job).

For those stopping by my humble corner of the Internet, hello! For artists who stumble upon my corner, I am looking to hire more commissions.  ninjav did a fabulous job on Matt, but I am planning on getting a commission done eventually for Kael (the rotund 'roo), Jay (cougar), and Laura (white wolf). I'd also like one of Matt in Ameranth using magic, too. We'll see. I'm actively scouring my watched artists for open commissions, but if you're interested in doing a paid commission for me, drop me a note and I'll take a look at what your art style is like and we can potentially go from there.

Also, I need to stop being lazy and figure out a fursona or something for my user icon. The paintbrush just isn't doing it for me.
