what do you think of audrey kawasaki?
Posted 14 years agoso, what do you think of audrey kawasaki? i read an article that compares her to bill henson. hm...
why do people like comparing things so much to other things?
and to close this silly journal... here is a quotation from Patrick Tregaskin:
"Music has never been bad, it has always been a matter of opinion. A certain genre of music has never been 'the worst genre ever', it's just what a selection of people thought about it. If you say music sucks nowadays, then how come you still listen to it? You know music is not bad, it depends on what you like!
With that, i keep discovering hidden gems, everywhere i go. I review them, describe my feelings and visions when i listen to it. I give you these gems, these visions, right here. Hope you enjoy, and keep in mind;
They are all my personal opinions. They are not based on facts."

AUDIO RECORDING DEVICES???!!!!??!
Posted 16 years ago(i tried to make this journal title look stressed out/ desperate... hopefully that will encourage comments??? ha)
So I've been thinking about buying a portable, digital audio recording device for about three years now, but I never got around to it. There are just so many interesting sounds and conversations and I wish I could preserve them, in a way.
I had an mp3 which had a mic on it, and I found it cool how I could listen to old recorded files, and how some were vaguely familiar and others were completely unrecognizable.
SO basically.................... what are some good Audio Recording Devices? I'm willing to spend 80 to 200$. If there are some good tape recorders I'm open to that too. I just want to get an idea of my options.

are you lacking in artsy ideas?
Posted 17 years agowell maybe you could take a visit tooooooo.... Naica! it's a crystal cave, with really big gypsum crystals.
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/.....crystals-cave/
I know it's kind of old but I saw a documentary on it last night and it was pretty cool, according to discovery channel it was filled with really hot, gypsum saturated water, so the crystals grew at about 16mm/year according these tests they did. So, that makes them pretty old. Er, some screencaps from the documentary are here I think: http://www.seanbuckley.ca/blog/2007.....nts-in-mexico/ ... Oh yeah, and the conditions inside that cave are pretty cool, its 100% humidity and over 40 degrees Celsius.
Also there was a documentary on Moebius's art at the same time, I couldn't decide what to watch :o
///
Also I've noticed Steampunk is becoming pretty hyped these days, yah?
