I'm having this really annoying problem with my PC as of late. It's been going on for months, for some reason I'm having problems downloading files from ANY website, even updates for programs and such. When I try to download a file (Or whatever) it takes a REALLY long time to download. Often times it will drop the download for a bit then begin downloading it again (from the point where it stopped). Other times it will just time out and stop downloading all together.

It also effects how fast image files become visible as well. It takes much longer for pics on FA or any other image site to load than previously.

Now I'm no tech, but I know the usual routine. So I've already scanned and cleaned my PC multiple times with various software. It defrags itself on a weekly basis, I also preempted a defrag a few times myself. Every thing is up to date, my internet connection and speed are absolutely fine. I have no problems getting to or surfing various sites. BITorrent files have no trouble downloading at all and seem to be unaffected by whatever problems regular downloads are having.

I've also cleaned my registry quite a few times as well as try different browsers. Basically, I'm hoping someone else has had this annoying issue and was able to deal with it accordingly.

Sai has become my primary art tool as of now, I use photoshop mostly for special effects and original texts and such.

But Sai has one serious flaw, it has NO shape tools. Now I don't know if I'm just not noticing them, but not having a straight line/Shape tool means I would have to jump between programs for comic boxes or background elements BEFORE I even have the finished product. Does anyone know of a plugin or patch that includes shape/line tools that can be uploaded?

Well, I was in the process of making my tumblr page, but it seems some sort of holy crusade has erupted there with mass blog deletions and such.

Anyway, I've just barely dipped into this thing. It's 191 pages full of just about every character, organization and region from the comic. However, there's also this website..

......Which also features a wealth of knowledge on the comic line. Each issue that presents new info is almost instantly added to it, as well as what ever plot synopsis for which ever comic that's just been released at that time. With that said, The Encyclopedia book would probably only apply to hardcore fans of the series or those who do not read the comics but are interested in the lore and having an actual physical copy to look to for info.

But so far, I'm really enjoying my purchase! The encyclopedia is about as up to date as the events immediately following the Sonic Genesis storyline.

There's not only sections devoted to characters, regions and organizations, but also technology, magic/talismans and perhaps the most interesting of all, A complete Timeline of events, from the beginning; The end of the Earth, the resulting birth of Mobius. Through all the events of early Mobius (Many of which were only hinted in the comics) to the current events in the very comics released this moment. It's the events in the early timeline, that are really the most interesting though.


Even the character bios have info that wasn't really touched on in the comic. For example;

Bunnie Rabbot's name is originally supposed to be pronounced (Rah Boh). She was born to the Southern Baronies just before the Great War. Apparently, her parents along with others in the Baronies sided with Overland during the great war. Bunny never knew this, and when she was told, she denied it to be the truth and ran away from home. Thus leading to the events of her eventual capture and half roboticization years later.


The book has lots of interesting tidbits like that, and so far has garnered my immediate attention.With that said, if your interested, go pick it up at your local comic book store when it's released Or you can order it directly from Archie Comics on-line. :D

It retails for $16.99 (Around $21 after shipping if you buy it on-line from Archie) [$19.99 in Canada]. I've already seen this thing going for $25 om Ebay, which is rather strange unless it's some limited edition version.

My thoughts;I like Sally's new design, a bit annoyed by the Amy Rose gloves.

Also worried about Ian Flynn saying Sega's taking more of an interest in the comic. As well as a tiny bit hopeful, maybe we'll see some sort of game using the Archie universe characters.

The one telling me to delete my Sonic porn and what not (Vast though it may be :/). So what are my feelings on the subject? I don't care anymore.

I mean, Sonic artist are a very small part of FA. And the majority of the FA community openly despise everything about Sonic. So I already saw this coming. Everyone can argue ages and styles or whatever, but bottom line...It's just easier to get rid of it rather than deal with a very small part of the community.

That being said, I don't know what the official FA stance on this is as a whole. I haven't heard about any forum posts or seen an AUP update bumper about it. Which is pretty annoying seeing as how I went through all this "bureaucracy" the last few times this happened. Going so far as to directly address these issues along with other artist with Dragoneer, and sciggles. Yet from what I hear, this is the whole underage character thing all over again.

Not gonna fight this though, so if there's a pic or flash of Sonic characters I did that you particularly like I suggest you get them now. Especially things like Mobius Nights.

On a more unrelated but personal note...

Sonic artist get a lot of crap on lots of sites. How many times have I seen, "there's more to draw than sonic", " Draw something else", "Your waisting your talent". Even on FA you see that...Which is fucking hilarious since 95% of everyone else out there feel that way about the furry community.

I mean, if it makes the artist happy, who are we to tell them to do otherwise. about the only other thing I've seen people complain about is MLP art, yet Pokemon and Digimon ALWAYS seem to be excused. XD

I can't seem to uninstall or reinstall my Flash 8. Keep getting this Error 1402 message about not having permission to use a key in the registries. I am having a bitch of a time trying to get this crap installed again. I've been all over trying to find a solution to what looks like a common problem with Macromedia and Vista...God, I HATE Vista.

Anywho, if anyone knows any program or a registry editing technique that ACTUALLY WORKS that'll solve this little snag I'd much appreciate it.

It seems that recently. I've stopped being able to hear audio on my personal .SWF flash files. I use Macromedia Flash 8, all the audio has stopped working in that program as well.

I can't really pin-point exactly when this happened, but It may have had something to do with those 50 Flash updates Adobe shoves out on a weekly basis.

The most annoying thing about it is that there are a wide range of things that can supposedly be done to "fix" it. But never pan out.

I can hear flash I load from websites and things just fine. i just seem to have a problem hearing my own files and audio while using Flash 8.

It's today. O_O

Wow, It totally slipped my mind LOL! I'm the big TWO-NINE today....Oy, one more year and I'll be an official old dirty man. XD

Might as well get this out first, on June 25th, my brother passed away. Shocked the hell out of everyone as you might have guessed. While i can't speak for everyone in my family, I'm pretty much back to normal now. It was a very weird feeling though, we all went through the motions like anyone else who lost someone cherished would, mourning and so on. Most of my family went out of state to the south, where he lived, for his funeral. Me and my sister stayed behind and watched our nephews. I had no intention of going anyway. Whatever was going to be in that pine box, my brother had already left this world when he died.

With that bit of melancholy news out of the way comes the next big news, I'm am officially UNEMPLOYED. Yep, 5 years in the old projectionist racket to be gutted out by server controlled digital projectors and budget auditors. After my already meager hours got cut down to essentially ONE day, I decided to call it quits. I'm now scrambling for a new job as I type this.

Despite how somber most of this sounds I assure you, I'm pretty much back to business as usual. I was looking for a new job in the waning days of my projectionist job anyway so it's not that big of a deal. So fear not, and worry not, the flow of porn shall go on....When i get a chance to draw something. O_o

Before I get to the endings, let me just say what I had the biggest problem with in the game.

The reasoning behind the Reapers. Synthetic life are going to rise up and kill you all, so I'll kill you all....First??? Yeah, I know the whole "..Only advanced life" deal but it still seems like a pretty poor excuse for mass genocide. I expected a reason fairly grand for the scope that the war turned out to be.

Now, on to the endings...

They actually aren't bad really, just poorly executed and rather lazy...Okay, that doesn't sound good at all. LOL This isn't about what wrong with the endings though, it's more about what's missing...CLOSURE. It's nowhere in sight. In fact, i would have had no problem with the endings at all if they went a little something like this:

If you chose control, you die. Why? Cause the catalyst said so. No beating round the bush there. But if you chose Synthesis or Destroy you can live...

For Synthesis: After the whole Normandy crashes on "Eden" thing. There's a montage of the races that are stuck in Sol space coming together and figuring out what to do (Mass Relays are kaput mind you, so they're stuck in Sol space). Over q period of what seems like a few years, you see things get better and "bridges built" etc...Then we find your love interest (Or maybe Joker if you chose to stay a "virgin") walking down a beaten path out of the way of civilization and such.

This person then notices strange wired vines that are pulsating with green energy. They follow the vines to what looks like a tomb with the N7 logo on it. They touch the logo and the tomb opens to reveal a naked Shepard! :D Shepard comes to, and after a sweet embrace (Or friendly hug) you see him being led to a crowd of familiar faces who cheer as they meet him.

Then the camera zooms out too Earth in orbit, noticing numerous colonies including a patched up citadel in orbit, pans past a Mars that's looking significantly greener, past the other planets all the way to Pluto. As the camera looks over Pluto's horizon, you'll notice a new Mass Relay being constructed...Fade to black.

The only thing different in the Destroy option, No Geth, no EDI, the citadel won't be rebuilt, and they find you in rubble instead of a few years later.

Simple, cliche, and Closure achieved. Tell me what chu think.

Keep the whole INDOCTRINATED Theory to a minimum. It makes some really solid points, but this was Mass Effect, not The Matrix.

Yeah, I've seen the censored pics and websites blacking out their pages and such. But, what effect does it have on users themselves?

(Please don't take this out of context or assume I'm comparing this to ANYONE)

Well, a pretty good way to describe it, is to imagine the most power mad moderator in existence. No matter what you say, what freedoms your suppose to have, even though your following the rules, your content that was uploaded is deleted, your account is deleted, and finally, federal charges are brought against you for your misgivings. Not only for you, but for the website that allowed you to as well. Their website can be shut down without a moments noticed and their servers froze while fines are brought up against them and possibly federal charges.

A good example, lets say you do a review of a certain video game. Now you say good things about it and how everyone should buy it....Oddly enough, even though you are breaking the new SOPA/PIPA rules, nothing happens. Now lets say you review a different game. And you say it's the worst piece of shit you ever played. Lets also say you average around 50,000 or more views on your vids, oddly enough even though you never heard from the producers of the other game you reviewed, this one's producers descend on you like the wrath of god. No website can moderate 24/7, so no matter what they're gonna get caught up in it.

That right there, is the hidden sinister powers of SOPA/PIPA and that's just one example of the things that can happen. Basically, you'll soon have to pay for EVERYTHING just so websites can cover their backs. Which if you have stake in multiple corporations that offers those protections (Insurance) and an institute to transfer funds (Banks, who many companies like PayPal and AlertPay ultimately lead to) which essentially lead to a choice few who own them (Many in the top 99%, including congress, members of the MPAA etc..), it spells...A FUCK TON OF MONEY.


The bills are not as much scary, as they are lucrative...Well, if you have claim in them anyway.
