The gallery is currently empty but I will start re-uploading art within the next few hours
Some basic information about the move is posted below!
Why are you moving accounts?
When I first made this account, I did not take branding and marketability into consideration.
I feel that the username I chose is not memorable. Yes, it describes my fursona, but it is too general
to be easily associated with something specific such as my artwork.
Since Furaffinity does not make it possible to change your username, in order to change
my username and effectively re-brand myself, I will have to mve my gallery to another account.
Unfortunately this means that I will lose all of my page views and comments, and I could
lose a lot of followers in the beginning, I feel that it is early enough in the game for me
to make this move.
Will your old account be de-activated?
I will be leaving this account up for archive purposes. I will continue to make posts here, but
I will only be posting cropped/watermarked versions of my artwork until I feel that most
of my current watchers have been made aware of my move.
Will you be transferring all of the artwork to your new account?
I will be transferring artwork to my new gallery, but I will not be re-posting all of it.
I will be re-posting art that I feel is relevant to the artwork that I am currently producing.
If you see that art of your characters or art that you commissioned has not been re-posted, it
doesn't mean that your art wasn't "good enough" to make the cut, it simply did not reflect my current style.

Personal Update - Happy Holidays!
Posted 8 years agoI hope everyone has had/will be having happy holidays this season!
I will have some time off from work to celebrate the holidays and to catch some much needed R&R. I will be spending time with family from the 23rd until the 26th. Then I will be working for two days, followed by another long weekend for New Years Eve.
Art-wise has been a little bit slow. Between Thanksgiving, MFF, and just needing a break from it all in general, I haven't had much time to finish anything new.
Soon I plan to finish up the first batch for a set of Telegram stickers I've been working on of my fursona. The stickers I have completed so far have been published and can be added to your Telegram app here! https://t.me/addstickers/greythedragon
I also have some smaller projects in the works that will hopefully be finished by the holidays

Commissions closed/small hiatus
Posted 8 years agoI'm going to be closed for regular commissions indefinitely. I might open for YCHs or for Christmas-themed badges and commissions in December.
I think it would be beneficial to spend time developing my own ideas and building a portfolio of more completed works of arts. Doing commissions has been great and all, but it hasn't allowed me to develop as much in important skills such as character design and full scenes/scenery focused works.
That being said, I'm sort of artistically drained at this point. I think that taking a hiatus from working on art all the time would give me time to gestate new ideas and re-build my motivation for my own projects.
Currently I'm working on business card designs to hand out at artist alleys. My next up-coming convention is Midwest FurFest but I'm unsure if I'll be ready in time to sell commissions there. I want to start out with something smaller, possibly FurSquared in February of 2018.

Posted 8 years agoI hope you all got to enjoy a long weekend! If you didn't, I hope you got holiday pay, or curse your bosses or CEOs or something.
It's been pretty busy as of late, and I feel like I've sort of been leaving my followers in the dark.
I've started a new full-time job working nights. Tomorrow is my first day with the training wheels off!
My new job has also enabled me to take out a car loan! I am now the proud owner of a dark grey 2011 Subaru Forester! <3
I STILL haven't been able to get my driver's license though, which is a real kick in the balls. I am confident in my driving ability but those guys at the DMV are real sticklers.
I've been almost too busy or too stressed out to work on art much, but things will hopefully be looking up soon.
I just ordered a high definition streaming webcam for myself so I can hopefully start streaming traditional art on Twitch soon!

Personal Update - No longer a Student!
Posted 8 years agoThats right! I'm now a graduate and the proud owner of two bachelor's degrees! One is a BFA in studio art and the other a BA in art history.
I have a job for the summer but I plan to start looking for a career in my field - hopefully at a gallery or other organization dealing with the arts.
In the mean time, I will continue to work as a freelance illustrator doing commission work and stuff :)
Soon I am planning to open an Etsy store and maybe also a Society6 to sell original works of art and crafts and prints and various other printed products.

Personal update
Posted 8 years agoMy senior exhibition is opening this weekend. I haven't been uploading any photos of completed work for it because I simply haven't had the time to take any HQ photographs. (Though there have been periodic updates on my Instagram @ViserionGrey) I plan to get in the photo studio and document everything for the show this Wednesday. Expect a mass upload some time after that (although I will be running around with my ass on fire trying to set things up in time.)
After the show is up by the 24th my next plans are to finish up the last weeks of the semester by catching up in the other classes that I've been neglecting... 18 credits and a senior show has been less than fun.
After I finish graduating, I will be working a full-time day job while simultaneously trying to get my freelance career off of the ground again. I'll be working on artwork for my senior exhibition project. Once I finish off my current queue I will be on semi-hiatus from posting new art until further notice. But you can bet I will be posting the pieces that I make for my senior art show here as I complete them! The content will not necessarily be "furry" related, though. FREE ART RAFFLE! Read the rules!

New Twitter, Post MFF, and plans for 2017
Posted 9 years agoOk, this is 3 things all rolled into one update so bare with me!
First of all, upon going to MFF I realized that everyone and their grandmother has a Twitter account. I know that I have made one before but I sadly forgot the information for it, so I made a new one!

Long story short: MFF was amazing and I don't want to return to normal life.
Some of the highlights were meeting some of my favorite artists and even being offered to do an art trade/print trade with one of my inspirations (!!!) and meeting up with friends from across the country. I also made some new friends along the way and had an amazing time with my eccentric roomies
I'm so inspired by everything that I have seen at MFF. The artists alley and dealers den were full of wonderfully talented artists. I probably have made more mental plans to commission people than I can ever afford right now, and I'm hoping that in the future I will have the ability to binge on art and crafts at the convention.
I would also really like to see myself as a seller at conventions in the future. After meeting and talking to so many artists I feel very intimidated but also inspired and motivated.
That being said, I am going to be closing for commissions indefinitely in early 2017. Aside from the enormous task of creating artwork for my senior show, I really feel that I must take the time to do artwork for myself instead of spending most of my time and energy on commissions. There are many new things that I want to try, but due to work load I almost never have time for it. I appreciate everyone who has liked my artwork enough to commission me so far, but I really feel that I can do better both for my watchers and myself. I'm hoping I can have enough conviction to stand by my decision, but as always financial need is a huge motivation behind me taking commissions. I probably will not fully close until late January when the Spring semester begins, and afterwards there may be a possibility of special slots and YCH's as time and inspiration allows.
