I was gently reminded today that Thanksgiving is about more than just eating. And although many people don't like this holiday because of its foundations, I love it. It gives me a much-needed respite from college to spend time with loved ones. Of course, Friday morning shopping and hustling from my hometown to my boyfriend's can be stressful as well. And also, the food! My mom only makes her home-made stuffing once a year, and intend to enjoy it + leftovers!

I am entirely thankful for all of you, my watchers. When I felt at rock bottom last week, you flocked to make sure I was OK and to give me solid advice for dealing with new found problems of anxiety and depression. And while I still haven't been able to receive the much-needed professional help that I need, you all made me feel much better and more able to carry on.

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a better day today. n_n now off to study for an exam and prepare for Daisho Con

I've been very depressed and stressed out lately. College life and the life of an artist have always been stressful to me, but I have never felt so miserable mentally and emotionally as I do now. I don't know what is different this time.

On top of that, I keep having panic attacks because of it. At first I was having them because of my negative feelings towards my artwork and the stress associated with my college classes, but now I'm having them all of the time over small trivial things.

The depression and anxiety I am experiencing right now are irrational. A lot of things are stressing me out right now, but that has almost always been the case for me during semester. I don't know why I'm having such a heightened negative emotional and mental response to it. Its causing me to miss class or leave class early.

I am seeking professional counselling on campus, but right now they are booked solid. I don't have any experience with panic attacks prior to this, so I don't know what to do ;-; I don't want to miss class or fall behind on my homework because of this.

I just need to take some time to figure things out, guys ;-; things have been rough for me emotionally and mentally. I think that I may be depressed or have depression. I just want to become a better artist before I start offering commissions again.

I got to wear my partial for the first time in public today and the response was EPIC :D and got to hang out with awesome furs

My current commission queue is almost empty, so that means more chances for personal art! Maybe if it becomes extra slow, I can come up with some seasonal YCH poses or do a few trades. I'm disappointed that my busy schedule led me to miss out on doing any Halloween art and Inktober was a bust again this year, but it can't always be helped.

I got into the classes I wanted for next semester and I'm still thinking about taking a winter course. It would be nice to have that month to relax, though :/

I'm happy to speculate that there is a good chance I will exceed 400 watchers by the end of the year! To be honest, when I first created this account I didn't think I could do it.

So, watchers, what do you like most about my art? The style? Digital or traditional?

I'm very overwhelmed right now with school work (2 midterm exams coming up and 2 projects due next week Q.Q) I'm also going home this weekend to visit family and see my bf ♥ other than that I'm having an awesome October. I am not working a lot so I am trying to save up for the convention I will be going in late November by being frugal and doing commissions.

I'm doing another custom sketchbook sale, this time with different tiers. It is still first come, first served, but you can pay however much you want for different levels of completion of the sketchbook. The sketches will be of characters and themes of the buyer's choosing.

Closing commissions for 2-3 weeks so I don't schedule too far ahead of myself. If we've already discussed a commission but you haven't paid yet then you'll still get a slot, so don't worry!

After this batch I'm also going to limit my commissions to just 1 a week because my semester is very busy this year!

So I have some more adult stuff in the works, some of it personal and I also want to do 2 adult YCH auctions (1 male, 1 female)

I don't normally show a lot of adult work, so I'm guessing most of you probably don't watch me for that kind of art (and if you do you have probably been a bit disappointed XD) so I wanted to ask what is your opinion on adult work? Do you like it, dislike it, feel indifferent to it?

I like it as a viewer. Its definitely only plays a minor role in why I'm interested in the furry fandom, but I'm still human. I can still be turned on by things and enjoy them. Its not something that I wish to have play a major role in my artistic life, but its something that from time to time I'd like to engage in from a more experimental standpoint.

My boyfriend came to visit me from Friday and just left today. I also started my new job on Friday as an art gallery attendant. I was also able to keep my other job. I originally intended to quit because I thought I wouldn't be able to do both jobs (my other job requires 10 hours a week minimally, but they allowed me to cut it down to 6 after I expressed that I didn't want to quit) Now I'm still working 11 hours a week for a little bit of extra income.

I feel that I have splurged a lot so far in the 2 weeks that I've been back to school. I've bought some essentials, some non-essentials, bought a new decoration for my dorm room (A giant tapestry of The Great Wave by Hokusai) went out to eat more than a few times while reuniting with friends and with my boyfriend this weekend. Now its time to tighten my waistband and curtail excessive spending for a while @_@ I'm still paying off my partial fursuit from The suit will hopefully be in my hands by October.

I found some people to stay with for DaishoCon in November in the Wisconsin Dells. I had an OK time with my boyfriend last time, but it ended up being more of a couple's retreat than a real con-going experience. I think going with a large group of friends will be a different experience.

Now I am getting back to work on personal work & commission work. Looking forward to doing more personal work this semester.

I'm having a bit of a dilemma.

I have a part-time job on my campus that I've had for the past two years. I like the job, it pays OK and I get 10 hours a week. I like the job and the people who I work with, and we have gotten to know each other pretty well for the past few years.

This year I got an e-mail about a job opening at the gallery at my university. Of course, being an art major, I would love to work that job! It would give me valuable work experience that could benefit me outside of college when I'm trying to find a job in my field. I applied and was hired.

But after getting my schedule for the new job, I realized that I can't work both. My heart is telling me to go with the gallery job, even though it is a little less hours than my other job. But I am really, really saddened by the idea of resigning. I worked there for two years, I have really gotten to know my managers and my co-workers.

Although I have worked a few jobs in the past, this is the first time that I have ever felt this way. I am really happy that if I choose the gallery job, that will give me a little bit more free time to focus on my artwork, both for school and my personal life, and it will open up my schedule more to do things with friends. But I am sad to leave the job and the people who I have grown with for the past two years.

So yeah, commissions are still open. I have made the final adjustments on prices. Last night I had an idea for a traditional themed "Iron Artist" that I may be offering once I have an example.

Here is what has changed
- Prices now start at $5 for traditional work
- I have removed the option for traditional sketches (since nobody seems interested in them anyway. I will still offer shaded toned sketches, which the price of them has been lowered)
- I have lowered the price for ink & watercolor drawings to generate more interest in them
- I have removed the option for colored sketches. Just didn't like how they looked
- Sketch pages are still available, though ^
- Finally, I got rid of most of the digital options and lowered the price of finished digital work. I will only be offering fully colored, fully shaded work from now on (except for reference sheets)
- All ref sheets now come with a headshot for no extra cost
